The initiative is part of a program of events offered by Turin's museums and scaled around World Refugee Day. Claudia Virginia Vitari has been working on migration, refugees and asylum seekers since 2014. The installation on display combines two themes from her most recent project: Interstitial Identities. O-Platz stems from the observation of the lives and protests of a group of asylum seekers (mostly from African countries) who were protagonists of demonstrations at Oranienplatz in Berlin over a period of months. The people portrayed by the artist participated in the protest and the texts used in the installation highlight the stalemate in their lives due to bureaucratic reasons. The exhibition will be open until August 29, Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-6pm. IDENTITÀ INTERSTIZIALI mostra personale di CLAUDIA VIRGINIA VITARI Polo del ‘900 - Galleria delle Immagini – Palazzo San Celso – Corso Valdocco 4/A, Torino 19 giugno - 29 agosto 2021 Il Museo Diffuso della Resistenza apre la nuova stagione espositiva con una mostra personale di Claudia Virginia Vitari. L’iniziativa si inserisce in un programma di eventi offerti dai musei torinesi e scalati intorno alla Giornata Mondiale del Rifugiato. Dal 2014 Claudia Virginia Vitari si occupa di migrazioni, rifugiati e richiedenti asilo. L'installazione esposta combina due temi del suo progetto più recente: Identità Interstiziali. O-Platz nasce dall'osservazione della vita e delle proteste di un gruppo di richiedenti asilo (per lo più provenienti da Paesi africani) protagonisti di manifestazioni a Oranienplatz a Berlino nell’arco di mesi. Le persone ritratte dall’artista hanno partecipato alla protesta e i testi utilizzati nell’installazione mettono in luce la situazione di stallo nelle loro vite dovuta a ragioni burocratiche.
