Thinking about how in season 1 of Foundation the ambassadors of Thespis and Anacreon were put on trial for an attack carried out by apparent terrorists from both of their planets, predicted by Hari Seldon, and Cleon XII publicly executed all the delegates and bombarded their planets.
And now, in season 2, Brother Constant with Thespin heritage and Poly Verisof with Anacreon heritage,* sent by Hari Seldon's Foundation as ambassadors of peace, are on trial in front of Cleon XVII, perhaps about to be publicly executed going by the trailers, and there's been some compelling speculation in our fan community that something's going to get bombarded.
Also, Constant will ask 'Should I speak first, or will you?'; pretty much the same thing Seldon said first of all to Cleon XII.
What goes around comes around.
*I can't remember if it's been mentioned in the show, but in the books Poly is the High Priest of Anacreon.

Hello. Can you write for Yandere Brother Day (Cleon xiii) and female reader? The reader may have come from another planet as a guest or diplomat.
❝outworldly visitor❞

✭ pairing : yandere brother day cleon xii x reader

✭ summary : she was a outwardly goddess, here to bless all those that fall beneath her feet. At least that’s how he looked at her, he would kill for her, if it made her smile, he would live for her, just to be beside her at every wakening and resting moment, but most of all he would die for her if it meant she would finally see him as her lover.
✭ authors note : lol I still have no clue who this man is :)

In the farthest reaches of the cosmos, on the peculiar planet known as Trantor, resided a being unlike any other. Cleon XII, or Brother Day as he was often called, was a complex personality, one that straddled the fine line between love and madness. His reputation was a paradox; some revered him, while others feared him, all for the same reason – his affections were as intense as his wrath.
One day, as Cleon XII strolled through the surreal landscapes of his celestial realm, he felt an unexplained shift in the cosmic tides. It was an unearthly sensation, entirely foreign to him, drawing his attention to an indistinct point on the horizon.
As he approached the source of this mystifying disturbance, his eyes fell upon a sight that left him utterly astounded. There, amidst the radiant tapestry of stars and cosmic phenomena, stood a figure unlike any he had ever encountered.
The person that he was staring at happened to be named (Y/N), and she was a goddess in every sense of the word. Her skin, as dark and rich as the deepest chocolate, seemed to shimmer with the brilliance of a thousand stars. Her hair flowed in ebony waves, cascading down her back like a cascade of shadows. Her very presence radiated an otherworldly charm, and her eyes, mysterious and profound, held the secrets of the universe.
But it was not just her captivating appearance that held Cleon XII in thrall. Her hips, generously wide, hinted at strength and fertility, as if they could bear him healthy heirs for generations to come. Her mere existence seemed to bestow blessings upon all who fell beneath her gaze, and Cleon XII was no exception.
The moment his eyes locked onto her, an overwhelming obsession ignited within him, a fervor that threatened to consume his very essence. He watched her move gracefully through the celestial realm, her footsteps leaving trails of stardust in her wake.
For Cleon XII, this ethereal visitor was more than just a blessing; she was a mystery that beckoned him into her enigmatic embrace. His fixation was instantaneous, a revelation that would push the boundaries of love and madness on a planet where reality and desire were intertwined in a delicate dance.
Unbeknownst to (Y/N), her arrival had forever altered the course of Cleon XII’s life.
Cleon XII, with an air of calculated intimidation, strode towards (Y/N) with his entourage of guards trailing behind him. His steps echoed through the cosmic realm as he approached the enigmatic goddess. His presence alone demanded attention, as though the very fabric of reality bowed to his whims.
With an icy tone, Cleon XII questioned, "Who are you, and what brings you to Trantor?"
(Y/N), poised and composed, met his gaze with an unwavering calm. "I am (Y/N), a wanderer of the cosmos," she replied, her voice as serene as a tranquil nebula. "I found myself here after a crash landing."
Cleon XII's eyes narrowed, and his brow furrowed, his mind racing with a storm of emotions beneath his stoic facade. He was the protector of his realm, the guardian of its order, and now this mysterious event had disrupted his carefully balanced world.
Without hesitation, he commanded his guards, his voice carrying an undertone of seething rage, "Take her to the medical examiner. I want to know the extent of her injuries."
As (Y/N) was escorted away, still calm and collected on the surface, Cleon XII burned with an internal fury. His sudden obsession with this celestial goddess had ignited a protective instinct within him, it was quick and raw and so very sudden, it almost let out a primal urge to safeguard her at any cost. He couldn't bear the thought of any harm befalling her.
As he watched her being led away, thoughts swirled in his mind. Who had dared to hurt his goddess, even inadvertently? He vowed that he would find answers, and if anyone had caused her harm, they would face his wrath, a wrath that knew no bounds.
With measured patience, Cleon XII made his way to the medical laboratory, the echoes of his purposeful steps resonating through the halls. As he entered, the staff turned their attention to him, their expressions a mix of reverence and trepidation.
"How is she?" Cleon XII inquired, his tone laced with concern, though his eyes betrayed a simmering impatience.
The chief medical officer stepped forward, nervously wringing their hands. "Your Highness, her injuries are relatively minor. Just some slight bruises and marks from the fall. Nothing that can't be healed with time."
Cleon XII's mask of composure wavered for an instant, his mind aflame with discontent. Inwardly, he seethed, questioning the competence of the very healers he had entrusted with her care. His goddess should have been immaculate, untarnished by any trace of harm.
Yet, externally, he maintained a façade of calm. His voice remained measured as he replied, "That's good. I'm glad to hear that she isn't too injured." He couldn't afford to reveal his inner turmoil, not when he needed to ensure her safety above all else.
Cleon XII’s obsession with (Y/N) only intensified with this revelation. He vowed to himself that he would personally oversee her recovery, ensuring that she emerged from this ordeal unscathed. As he left the medical laboratory, his thoughts churned with a dangerous determination to protect the enigmatic goddess who had become the center of his universe.
Days passed, and (Y/N)'s injuries began to heal. Her celestial beauty, though initially marred by the bruises and marks of her crash landing, was gradually restored to its otherworldly perfection. She had regained her strength, and the time had come for her to leave Cleon XII's planet.
As (Y/N) contemplated her departure, Cleon XII was filled with a profound sense of unease. He couldn't bear the thought of her leaving, not after she had become the focal point of his existence. His obsession had grown stronger with each passing day, and the idea of her absence was unbearable.
Approaching her with a charming smile, Cleon XII said, "I'm delighted to see you recovering so well, (Y/N). But you know, you haven't had the chance to truly explore my planet. There are wonders to behold, and our people in the nearby village would be honored to meet you."
(Y/N), thoughtful and kind-hearted, considered his words. She had indeed been preoccupied with her recovery and had not had the opportunity to explore the mysteries of this celestial realm. She felt a sense of duty to repay the kindness she had received.
"I suppose I could stay a bit longer," she conceded, her smile as warm as a distant sun. "I wouldn't want to miss out on the chance to learn more about your world and its people."
Cleon XII's heart soared with elation, his carefully woven web of persuasion drawing her closer to him. He knew that he needed more time to deepen her connection to his realm, to make her a permanent fixture in his life. A welcome ceremony would solidify her presence on Trantor, and he had no intention of letting her slip away.
"Excellent," Cleon XII replied with a smug satisfaction, "We will arrange a grand welcome ceremony in your honor. You'll see, (Y/N), Trantor has much to offer, and you won't regret staying a bit longer."
Little did (Y/N) know that she had unwittingly fallen into the clutches of a being consumed by obsession. Cleon XII’s determination to keep her on his planet had only just begun, and he would stop at nothing to ensure that she remained by his side, forever.

I owe Lewis an apology and a bouquet of roses. He did really good, and he was incredibly selfless in the end. It's a true testament to his character. He was probably terrified.
Lee Pace's moves are extremely sensual. There, I said it. But seriously, they don't have sunscreen in the Foundation Universe? I think even the way he kneeled was outrageously slutty. Perhaps it's just something he exudes in general. Perhaps it's just Lee Pace. I don't know. I just don't understand why he started the Spiral fully covered, then progressively lost his clothes, and then ended up half naked. Was it a fashion statement? A power move? Is he just stupid? Nobody knows. Not even himself, I presume.
I felt terribly sad for him, though. He didn't see anything. It must've made him feel so lonely. Somehow, I feel like whatever feelings his encounter with the old man elicited in him, this disappointing experience balanced that in the complete opposite direction. I don't know if that makes sense.
Where I'm from we have a saying. It could be translated this way: you know what you give up, but you never know what you get in return. This is exactly how I feel about this new Brother Dusk. I said I hated his predecessor. I didn't know how good I had it. New Batch is messed up. The actor managed to chanel the creepiness exhibited by Lee Pace when he was playing this Cleon (Cleon XII I believe). The mural manipulation. I knew it before I saw but it was still a gut punch. And the music sold it.
Whenever a protagonist gives away a invaluable item in exchange for a bauble much needed to evade their enemies, I'm always convinced that, although the narrative might not show it to us, the person who accepted the exchange will be killed for it. Either because it's worth stealing, or because the people hunting the protagonist will eventually find their way to the item, and kill its current possessor.
All of this to say that protagonists get people killed. And the succession of twists melted my brain. I was extremely suspicious of Azura's game from the begining, because it was too good to be true. She had an answer to everything, and a solution to all of Dawn's problems. But this whole time, I thought that perhaps, she was Dusk's pawn, and merely a test that all Cleons had to go through at some point. It was way more messed up.
I know that Day will want Dawn dispatched and replaced by a perfect copy, there is no other option for the kind of situation they're in (or I would be extremely surprised). And obviously, nobody will ever know of this whole debacle, so the new Dawn will still be known as Cleon XIV. But I wonder how they'll call him when they're only between themselves: Cleon XIV 2.0, Cleon XIV ESR, Cleon XIV RTM, or just Cleon XIV(2)?
Salvor and Hugo were playing 5D chess when the rest of them were playing checkers. Brilliant. Also Hugo is awesome. And his beard game is incredible.
Ok Hari isn't even playing chess. He's just twenty steps ahead. And he's a complete bag of balls. I can't believe I love him. He's incredibly charismatic but also such a massive ass. I'm worried, though, that much like psychohistory, he cannot really see people as individuals. He has his big plan in mind, but he seems to forget that people don't like to be meddled with, to be controlled, and lied to. His memory is good enough that he can recall the names of everyone who boarded with him for Terminus, but it doesn't mean that he cares at all. You're right, his ego is immense.
I have to give it to him though, his Second Foundation makes complete sense. Terminus is known to the Empire, it would be stupid to only count on it, and in fact, I'm a little upset at myself for not pointing it out sooner. But he admitted himself that he considers the Termini as bait, and that it's highly unlikely that they will endure. It reminds me of Ender's Game. It's very cruel. I understand that he only considers the big picture, but these people entrusted themselves to him, and his vision.
Now regarding Demerzel and Cleon the First, I was actually quite surprised. If my understanding is correct, she was already far older than him when they programmed her, right? Initially, I felt that modifying her program so she would serve the Cleonic Dynasty denoted a lack of trust in her. But after rewatching the scene, it felt like an insurance, not for the next Cleons, but for her. So they would never question her, and so she would be safe from any sort of retribution. But either way, when she talked to Cleon XII when he was at the final stage of his life, and she said that they (the Cleons) always left her, I felt incredible longing. Perhaps it's better for her that they never seem to rise to the level of Cleon the First. It would be atrocious to lose him again, wouldn't it?
Now to episode 10.
DYING over this breakdown.
Lewis: Yes, in the end he really came through. He was never the bad guy, he was just narrow-minded in his approach for what "good" meant, but he had genuine care for his people and was willing to sacrifice himself. For the record, I found those whole scenes with people physically having to wire themselves in for the jump such classic SPACE HORROR concept that I almost puked (and I mean that affectionately).
Brother Slut: Yes... Well, my hypothesis is that he was stupid about the dangers of sun exposure. I suppose... maybe he didn't know that the burning thing in the sky can burn skin, too? Who knows! He definitely doesn't! I was tremendously sad for him to - he had a bit of one step forward-two steps back as personal growth in that episode. I thought that his experience had been profound, but he was dealt a shitty card to have to continue being a shitty dude.
Brother Dusk: I am paging @brotherdusk because collectively we HAD to know your thoughts on this "upgrade". Oh boy, have you delivered. Yes, yes, this is still that same creepy, menacing, Cleon XII baby! In all his glory, but now also older, no longer the ruler he loved being, and still endlessly spiteful. Gotta love the Galactic Evil Grandpa. The move with the mural was absolutely spectacular. What a massive cunt :D
With Azura's thing, I was on Dusk's side for how he handled the situation - I am glad he was able to foresee the levels of stupidity of Dawn walking right into that trap. For the record, I have a feeling that each Dawn is uniquely ridiculous and dumb, and somehow Demerzel manages to shape up those messes into Days.
Day wanting Dawn dispatched - OH! INTERESTING PERSPECTIVE and I guess you will have to see for yourself, and I think that may tie in with your musings on his character growth or lack thereof. Also LOL at your backup clone notation. I am sure they have release notes on each version :D
Hugo - Absolute legend. Salvor - absolute legend. No notes, they are BOSSES.
Hari Seldon - yeaaaaaa he's a cock. Yeaaaaaa I love him. I also think he's an absolute red flag for the galaxy, and I doubt that his vision is actually a better alternative to Endless Cleons.
Demerzel - I believe on the show they do not allude to her being programmed in any way prior to Cleon I. It is unclear to me what the insurance policy would entail, but I certainly speculate in my writing! All I can say - it's undeniable that she *actually* cares about all these clones no matter how insufferable she may find them individually.

So I couldn’t resist rewatching this episode. Its one of my favorites honestly, because it has so much banana 🍌 emperor of disaster aka Cleon XII in his peak Worstness.
Also because you see the banana 🍌 essence in XI. Yes, he is mellow and harmless when compared with the absolute disaster his son - brother - clone ended up being, but still.
Exhibit A: Look at the terrible guy joking about not ruining good wine with poison, when he has two terrified diplomats expecting death and some torture.
Tumblr media
He then toast to good health and a promising future with the guys he knows are more doomed than a parent figure in a Disney movie.
Tumblr media
Telling them promptly they are going to die.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And here you can see how fast it will come to slapping the snot out of each other when XII is Dusk and XIII is Day! The emotional stable self is in all Cleons!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he ends the wine tasting evening of entertainment mirroring XII telling very doomed people they are doomed:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah I accept that XII takes the cake in being the absolute 🍌 banana The Worst, still we see how we got this absolute horror, that plays cat and mouse with his grandson - brother - imperfect clone, just to have his own personal retirement royal telenovela:
Tumblr media
When we watch XI closely! 😂

In the heart of a sprawling, futuristic city stood the grand institution known as the Sanctum. Its towering spires reached toward the heavens, symbolizing the pinnacle of human achievement in science, knowledge, and martial prowess. Within the hallowed walls of the Sanctum, young minds were honed to become the guardians of humanity, known as the Sentinels. Among them, Brother Day was a rising star, the embodiment of dedication, and the epitome of a warrior.
But beneath his disciplined exterior, there was a secret, an obsession that had quietly taken root in his heart since childhood. That obsession had a name, and it was (Y/N).
The story of Brother Day and (Y/N) began in the innocence of youth, when they were nothing more than wide-eyed children. Growing up within the walls of the Sanctum, they had been inseparable. Brother Day, in particular, had always found himself drawn to her, like a moth to a flame. It had started as a simple crush, a puppy love that had made his heart race and his palms sweat.
Back then, when he wasn't busy with the rigorous training that would one day make him a Sentinel, he would often find himself sneaking away from his duties to watch (Y/N) in secret. She had a talent for making flower crowns, a skill she had developed from the vibrant gardens that thrived in the heart of the Sanctum. He would hide among the blossoms, his eyes fixated on her delicate hands as they wove together petals and leaves into intricate garlands.
As the years passed, Brother Day's affection for (Y/N) deepened. He had vowed to himself that he would make her his, not just as a lover, but as a queen. In the stillness of the night, when the Sanctum slept, he would lie awake, his thoughts consumed by her. He knew that he was destined for greatness, that he would ascend to the highest ranks of the Sentinels, and he would do it all for her.
For in his eyes, no one but him deserved her love. He had watched her grow, seen her beauty blossom like a rare flower in the midst of a concrete jungle. Her laughter was the sweetest melody, her presence a beacon of light in a world consumed by darkness. And he, Brother Day, would be the one to protect her from that darkness, to stand at her side as her unwavering protector.
But his secret obsession remained hidden, locked away in the depths of his heart. For now, he would continue his training, striving to become the greatest Sentinel the Sanctum had ever known, all in the name of the one he loved, the one he would make his queen.
As the years passed, Brother Day's dedication to the Sanctum bore fruit, and he rose in power and influence. He became known as Cleon XII, a name that resonated with authority and respect. His martial prowess was unmatched, and his strategic brilliance was lauded by all. But amidst the clamor of his accomplishments, his secret obsession with (Y/N) remained a driving force.
One evening, while Cleon XII was on the balcony of his lavish quarters overlooking the Sanctum, he overheard the maids who attended to his needs conversing in hushed tones. They spoke of his rising prominence and speculated about when he would take a wife, as was expected of a man of his stature.
Their words echoed in his mind, and Cleon XII knew that the time had come. It was the perfect moment to begin courting (Y/N), to make his intentions clear. He couldn't let anyone else claim her heart. She would be his queen, and he would ensure her safety and happiness for the rest of their days.
With newfound determination, Cleon XII set out to find (Y/N). He knew her routines well and had learned that she often went shopping at the marketplace in the evenings. He tracked her there, his heart pounding with anticipation.
As he approached her, Cleon XII couldn't resist the urge to tease her a bit. He came up behind her, causing her to startle as she turned around. Her initial surprise quickly melted into a warm smile when she saw who it was.
"Cleon XII, don't sneak up behind me," she chided, her eyes sparkling with mirth.
He grinned, unable to contain his amusement. "Can I not surprise my childhood friend?" he retorted, his tone playful.
They walked together through the bustling marketplace, their conversation flowing effortlessly as they caught up on each other's lives. (Y/N) told him about her pursuits and interests, and Cleon XII listened attentively, genuinely fascinated by her every word.
But in the recesses of his mind, he was already plotting. He envisioned all the different ways he could court her, how he would make her his queen, and how their life together would be. She wouldn't need to concern herself with menial tasks like shopping; they would have maids to handle such matters. She would be safe at home, resting, perhaps with their young, their heirs to the throne.
As they strolled through the market, Cleon XII couldn't help but steal glances at (Y/N). She was even more radiant than he remembered, and he was determined to make her his, to share with her the grandeur and power that life as Cleon XII could offer.
The sun dipped low in the sky as Cleon XII's grueling training session at the Sanctum came to an end. He was weary but exhilarated, his muscles honed to perfection. However, today, his thoughts were not solely consumed by combat and strategy; they were filled with (Y/N) and the delicate flower crowns she had woven the night before.
Unable to resist the pull of his newfound infatuation, he followed the trail of petals to find her in a secluded garden, much like the one they had played in as children. She sat there, her nimble fingers working wonders with the blossoms, just as she had done when they were young.
Approaching her, Cleon XII couldn't help but smile as he watched her in silent admiration. She was a vision of grace and beauty, her dedication to the art of creating flower crowns both captivating and endearing.
Without a word, he approached her and asked, "May I join you?"
(Y/N) looked up, her eyes widening in surprise as she registered his presence. A flush of warmth colored her cheeks. "Of course, Cleon XII," she replied, her voice gentle and inviting.
Cleon XII took a seat beside her, a touch of uncertainty in his expression. "I admit, I have never done this before," he confessed, his gaze locked on her delicate hands as they deftly worked the flowers.
Her laughter was like music, a sweet melody that danced through the air. "It's quite simple, really," she said, her fingers guiding his in the delicate process of weaving the blooms together. "You just need patience and a gentle touch."
As she showed him how to create the intricate patterns of a flower crown, Cleon XII found himself utterly entranced by her. He watched her with blissful awe, every stolen glance revealing the depth of his affection.
And then, in a moment of boldness, he blurted out, "Do you wish to go on a date with me?"
The question hung in the air, unexpected and unscripted. (Y/N) blinked in surprise, her cheeks tinted with a becoming shade of pink. She paused for a heartbeat, considering his request, and then a smile bloomed on her lips.
"I would love to," she replied, her eyes meeting his with a newfound warmth that sent a rush of happiness surging through Cleon XII's heart. In that simple moment, amidst the petals and the delicate art of flower crowns, their courtship had begun, destined to blossom into something far greater.
Good step one was now in place..
