“Phil...?” Bad whispered as the scraps of binary that was once his friend floated past him. Was this because of the injury he received from the code? Whatever it was, Phil had most definitely died because of it. Bad reached out to touch the Philza binary, but hesitated. The code almost seemed to react to his hand’s presence, changing its path to touch Bad’s hand.

The moment Bad made contact this Phil’s code remains, it pushed something into Bad’s mind, Phil’s knowledge. All of a sudden Bad knew why the code hated Phil, why he called the eggs ‘admins’, and why Cucurucho always obeyed Phil. Phil’s final gift was the destruction of the veil that had been draped over Bad’s eyes. Bad knew that he needed to tell the others, starting with Fit.

Then Tallulah screamed.

Fit blocked the attack from the fake Philza with ease. “Who are you?!” he barked at the imposter. Fake Phil only grinned back in response. Fit glared it down before noticing Cheyanne and Tallulah in the background, shivering and scared. Fit trained his eyes on the imposter, it’s smile was too wide to be normal. The eyes were wild and crazed. Fit readied himself for an attack, but to his horror the imposter turned to Tallulah and Cheyanne and summoned a large axe made of code. Cheyanne and Tallulah froze as this imposter disguised as their father raised his axe to kill them.

A throwing knife knocked the axe from fake Phil’s hand as Bad hurried into the room, eyes blazing and teeth bared. He made sure to be between the eggs and the code imposter. “Dont. Touch. Them.” he growled. The imposter grinned, “Ṯ̶̉͒̔ḩ̷̖̰̓e̷͇̜̤͆ ̷̞͍̆ě̴̬͖̆̿g̴̛̤̖ǵ̶̤̭s̸͍̗͍̈͐̇ ̶̩͒w̸̡͔̘̒i̷̛̟l̶̛͓̓͗l̵̞̭̂͛ ̴̤͒b̴̤̙̌̊̋e̶͕̓͐̎ ̷̖̠͋m̸͈̲̳̊͋̉i̴̻̪̇͗ṇ̶̾̀̚e̶̬͓͑͒͒.̴̛̜͇̉ ̸̀ͅY̸̻̥͎̓o̶̹̹͎͋̽u̴̢̾ ̴̧̼̝̌͋͘c̷̛͔͝ȃ̷̪n̷̼̜̉͋͗ǹ̴̪̗̳͗ȍ̴̤̘͛͜t̵̬̗̙͋̏͘ ̴̼̑͋s̶̹͆t̴̰̯̕ǫ̸̃̽͑p̴͚̑̍̕ ̵̙͛͂̕ͅm̴̨̖͂ē̸̟͍.̸̬̈́͐͜͝” it said, mocking Phil’s voice. Fit looked between the demon and the code imposter, “Bad?” “Fit take the eggs and run! I need to ask this imposter a couple questions.” Fit raised an eyebrow, “But the real Phil?” he asked, “Just go!” Bad cried as the code lunged at him.

Bad held the code Philza against the wall as Fit grabbed Cheyanne and Tallulah and helped them out of the house. Bad took one more look to make sure that Fit and the eggs were gone before throwing fake Phil into a wall and then slamming his fist into its chest. “What did you do to the real Phil?!” Bad yelled. The fake Phil grinned evilly at him, “H̷e̶ ̴g̴o̸t̵ ̸w̶h̴a̷t̸ ̴h̷e̸ ̶d̶e̶s̴e̵r̶v̵e̴d̷.̵ ̸F̸o̶u̶r̵t̷h̵ ̷w̴a̷l̵l̷ ̸b̵r̴e̶a̷k̵e̷r̵s̴ a̵r̶e̴ ̷n̴o̸t̴ ̷t̵o̵l̵e̷r̷a̵t̵e̶d̵.̶ ̸H̸e̷ ̷h̸a̶v̸e̸ ̷s̷c̸a̷t̷t̵e̶r̸e̵d̷ ̵h̶i̸s̶ ̷c̷o̴d̶e̷ ̴s̴o̸ ̸h̵e̵ ̶c̸a̸n̵n̶o̴t̴ ̴i̸n̵t̴e̴r̵f̵e̶r̶e̷.̴” Bad stayed still and tried not to give the imposter any clue that Phil had passed that knowledge to him. “... Tell me how to help him.” the fake Phil grinned at him, pulling out a sword. Bad realized two seconds too late as the sword was plunged into his stomach.

Bad watched as the imposter slipped out of the room. He knew that Fit and Phil’s eggs were coming to help him. Hopefully, Dapper was still asleep and wouldn't hear about this. After a minute or two things started to get blurry, his ears rang as he felt tired.

ok i do need to ask, do we like KNOW know that some egg admins have been playing as other silly npcs during this downtime or are we speculating. like i've seen people identifying admins with varying strength of basis since the eggs first existed but like. for a while there anytime an npc spoke portuguese everyone thought it was richas and then occasionally it would be agent 18 lmao so. . . are we doing that now or do we like Know lmfao

oh and to be clear i do mean varying strength; people were apparently spotting a leo admin's speech patterns earlier and since leo has such a distinct pattern (tho i'm not fluent in spanish LMAO) i'm inclined to believe that. but yea for a while people seemed to think portuguese=richas and to be fair there weren't many non-english npcs for a WHILE and really no portuguese besides richas (that we knew of) but it does mean i'm a bit more skeptical now when the audience starts trying to clock npc admins lmfao

So just to recap in todays event:

maxo was teleported out of prison in order to attend the event

the federation led a pre-election dinner, complete with a new chef employee!

clip compilation of funny qsmp moments

candidate speeches, including a final gegg speech where dozens of geggs were warped into the dining room

elquackity publicly denounced the federation in his speech

a fake tallulah and chayanne showed up, without egg cracks, didn’t respond to questions, and then revealed themselves to be CODES IN DISGUISE who assassinated gegg and attempted to kill the other candidates, while taking advantage of the sweeping edge bug

code-tallulah was killed by etoiles and code-chayanne was killed by philza, who both got respectively to have a big fight and get vengeance on the codes

slimecicle finally revealed that he was gegg THE WHOLE TIME 😱 but also gegg is dead and gone forever now

elquackity attempted to make a deal with slimecicle and offered to introduce him to powerful people if he helped elquackity get elected

etoiles told slimecicle about the sweeping edge bug that contributed to the deaths of juanaflippa and tilin

elquackity and maxo had a confrontation in the desert (with cellbit and roier spying while invis) with maxo saying he knows elquackity is an imposter and working for the federation. they fought, and eventually elquackity fled

aypierre gave slimecicle a tour of his gegg factory, where he has an infinite gegg spawner set up

jaiden got a hatsune miku haircut from pac e mike :)

foolish FINALLY received a mission from the federation to arrest pac e mike because they were supposedly behind the disappearance of mr mustard, the capybara. they were arrested and ended up in prison

tazercraft stream ended on a screen with morse code that translated to “nenhuma fuga é impossível” or “no escape is impossible”, a reference to their prison break series and canon backstory fuga impossível

foolish was interrogated by cellbit and co about his role in tazercraft’s disappearance

cellbit found another book from whoever contacted him after the last debate, saying that they have a common enemy

god that event was so cool, and us philza viewers got FED. phil spending the time beforehand building his arsenal. phil staying away from the crowds and checking in with fit and etoiles throughout the dinner. immediately clocking the fact that "chayanne" and "tallulah" weren't actually his kids. phil lurking in the back of the room, watching everyone get on stage for the photo, talking to forever about how skeptical he is, and just barely seeing his "kids" go code before being knocked out by the crash.

coming back to chaos. the goddamn stream music as he went toe to toe with the imposter code monsters. chat going fucking ballistic with "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD." cellbit telling everyone else to back off so phil can one-v-one the monster impersonating his son and take revenge. forgetting all of his preparations and just going full-on, old-school pvp sweat mode while being assisted by etoiles, the only guy on the server who wants the code dead just as much as he does. getting in the final hit and getting to see Chayanne was slain by [CODE BREAKER] in chat.

the real tallulah and chayanne showing up. his kids hugging him and hugging each other and asking him if he's alright and him admitting that he's a "little shaken up" but he's just glad they're okay. taking them home, putting them into bed, and collapsing back into his chair like everything that's happened has just come rushing back, a tidal wave of exhaustion as the adrenaline crash and relief come down on him.

now that things have calmed down a bit i want to theorize again.

i still think that the codes are miss-programmed eggs, whether it be from the original 24 islanders or trial runs for the residents now, and tonight further cemented my idea.

the imposter eggs, while acting nothing like chayanne and tallulah, were still acting like kids in a way, out of control and very all over the place kids. tallulah shaking her maracas a LOT, running up and getting everyone’s attention, chayanne poking and prodding at phil like a kid bored at a fancy restaurant, and even saying to fit “he doesnt love me anymore” when philza said they werent his kids.

philza said a while back that he thinks the residents could be a way to placate the code(s), like they were toys for it. and of course theres his first battle with a code monster where he was able to bring up the birth certificate gui.

at the very least, i think the codes were/are literally rotten eggs. eggs that werent perfect; that were rude and wouldnt as easily captivated the residents into caring and risking their lives over. so they were deleted. but the code itself survived and is manifesting in anger and jealousy towards the eggs.

im still undecided where the federation stands with them though. i dont know if they just dont see the codes as a threat, legitimately just cannot see the codes because the eggs were deleted from their system, or if philza was right and theyve been trying to keep the codes happy and as undestructive as possible. fuck, they couldve even purposely corrupted an egg just to make a monster.

Bad’s eyes snapped open and he jolted up, only to groan and put his hand on his now bandaged chest. He felt four pairs of hands gently hold him down. He looked up at the eggs holding him, Cheyanne, Tallulah, Ramon, and Dapper. A smile touched Bad’s lips, “you guys are ok...” he breathed a sigh of relief and looked over to the person who had been calling his name, Fit.

“I'm glad you are awake Bad, the injury you received wasn't like Phil’s thank goodness... But we need to talk.” Bad thought for a moment, did Fit really need to know everything Phil had shown Bad right now? Bad himself needed time to process it. Maybe he could wait to tell the others...

“What is there to talk about Fit?” Bad asked quietly.

“Where is Phil? After I saved you, I checked Phil’s room and he wasn't there at all...” Well, crap... Bad wasn't ready for that at all.

“I... Dont know...” that was probably the safest explanation, it didn't involve telling Fit that Phil was nothing but scraps of code. “He was still there when I left to help you.” Bad continued, “Did he leave a note? Or a trail?”

Fit sighed, “No... He won't reply to me at all. I told everybody else to be on high alert for him or his imposter.” he sighed and glanced at where the eggs were playing, “I'll escort you and Dapper home, if you need anything, ask me or anybody else. I'm sure they are happy to help.” Bad smiled and nodded.

After Fit helped Bad get home and settled, he left, saying he needed to talk with the others about the care of Cheyanne and Tallulah. Bad tucked Dapper into bed and sat on a chair, thinking about what knowledge he had attained today. It messed with his mind and made him feel slightly sick to his stomach. It did make a little sense, with Admins playing eggs, and different admins subbing for eggs, another thing that made sense was the Chatters that everyone had. Bad sat down and stared absently at a wall. This was so much to take in.

“Hello.”

Bad looked up, was that one of his ghosts? No wait… it was a crow on the windowsill. “Uh… hi-” Bad said quietly, looking at the crow.

“Am Brian. Have you seen Philza?” the crow asked, Bad realized this was part of Phil’s chat.

Bad sighed, “No... He's-” Bad’s throat tightened with guilt. Phil was nothing but scraps of code floating around the island. How on earth does he tell that to a crow that Phil considered family?

As Bad opened his mouth to talk, he heard a thud from his room. Bad spun around and looked at the doorway to his room, his injury sending a wave of pain over him in the process. He groaned as he made his way over to his room, Brian flying beside him.

“Hello? Is there another crow in here?” Bad called out. The room stayed silent for a moment before another thunk was heard from behind Bad’s dresser. Brian flew over and peeked behind. Bad soon followed and managed to pull the dresser out a small bit, he gasped as his brain registered what he saw.

“Phil????”

A small squeaky voice answered him.

“Hi, mate!”

What if… Phil didn't kill the Cheyanne imposter

Phil growled as the Cheyanne imposter paced around. Etoiles grinned at him, “Only one more code monster yeah?” Phil nodded at him, “I’ll take him. You support me.”

Phil and the imposter circled a bit, staring the other down. Phil took the first move, starting their deadly dance. Phil’s movements were fluid and showed his years of experience. The code was erratic and barbaric, it attacked at every opportunity, mostly hitting air as Phil dodged it with ease.

The code stopped moving, starting to shift into a different shape. Phil took the opportunity to swing and….

Oh…

Oh no…

A sword blocked Phil’s axe and the code monster, now in the shape of a very familiar piglin. Techno… Technoblade had died! Why was the code using him against Phil like this? As Phil froze at the sight of his late friend, the code used his hesitance to strike, delivering a debilitating gash to his chest.

Phil stumbled back, whatever the imposter had hit him with made him feel like he was being broken apart and put back together over and over. Distorted yelling echoed in his ears along with ringing. He tried to get up but when he looked at his hands and saw them glitch uncontrollably he got the urge to gag. He needed to stay awake, he felt that if he didnt, he would cease to exist. Through his panicked state, he heard the code monster mutter something about revenge and the breaking of the fourth wall. Phil tried to get up again, resulting in him tumbling to the floor.

Minutes passed as the glitching and nausea slowly let up. Phil felt like he could breathe again. “Fit...” he called out, pushing himself into an upward sitting position. “Phil stay down yu need to rest.” Bad said, gently pushing Phil back down, Phil slapped his hand slurring a swear at him. He reached over for his axe and (much to the dismay and pleading of the others) used it to help him stand up. “Where the hell did that code monster go...” he said, looking around. “Wait Phil has a point” Charlie pointed out. Fit shrugged, “guess it had enough. We should go back home. No point in staying here.” Bad nodded, “Ill help you get Phil back to his house.”

Much to the complaints of Phil, Bad and Fit helped him back to his home. “The kids... What about the kids...” he said as Bad helped him to bed. “I got it Phil.” Fit assured him, then went to the basement where the real Cheyanne and Tallulah were supposed to be asleep.

Except they werent.

They were awake playing with... Phil? Fit stared at the man whom he was sure was supposed to be up with in bed with Bad. The other Phil looked at Fit with eyes a neon green that hurt to look at.

“You arent Phil...”

At that moment, the full effects of the code monster hit Phil, dissolving him into nothing but scraps of zeros and ones, while the fake Philza lunged at Fit
