Lately I've only been wishing to grab a comic about my favorite character and just have a genuinely good time reading it.
#I can't remember the last time I took a Deadpool comic and genuinely had a good time about it#I hate the direction they took with his character and it's so disrespectful that I don't even talk about I don't even think *any* Deadpool#fan genuinely talk about it because were so tired of his kids characterization we all just collectively decided to ignore whatever hell#marvel through at him#but rant aside#it's just–#I am not sure if comic books are fun anymore I don't even know who I am making content for half of the people on my notes haven't touched#comic book and aren't pretending to do so#people who read the comics tend to be so mean or bitter about it that even if you follow most will be angry about something#comic or fan related and I don't know if I can blame them but following that is draining#and as much as I was trying to be a good sport about it you make a post about comic book characters and#and the overwhelming response is 'I don't read the comics but'– following up by a take about them that doesn't even recognize any core#aspect of their personality that you can't even grasp you can't even recognize them#you can't recognize them on tue cannon you can't recognize them on the fannon#and no matter how engaging you try to make content about the fandom people just–*refuse* to read it. And then– they *refuse* to tag fannon#content as fannon#and *refuse* to leave either#Yes we are all having fun but how can a character tag be so so filled with people who have no idea of who they are#how can a character can be properly loved and take care of and have content that respect them if no one makes any attempt to *know them*#and it's disheartening because *comics* are supposed to be fun *fannon are supposed to be fun*#but for aome reason it's really *really* hard to have fun here anymore#I created this page to share my love for the characters I care about and see more content of people who care about them too#but I can't even *find* people who care about them any more and when I do they're all so angry and upset– And I *cant even blame them*#I just... I don't know why I am doing this anymore or for who I am doing this anymore#sorry to vent but it's been a while since I haven't been had a genuinely good time™ enjoying comics#I don't think even people who write those comics enjoy those comics or care about those characters#Sometimes feels like everyone is projecting on those characters rather than *writing about them*. And I can't find them anymore#fanfics used to be about love petters to characters who you love#nowadays seems like a competition to see who makes more funny words with tropes pre-written since 2007#vent

Hi! Let me start off by saying that I absolutely adore your ROTP series. This is also one of the very few Rottmnt/2012 crossovers in existance that does justice to both verses and doesn't put a biases on any. I love this comic.
Now that aside, I need to get something off my chest. I wouldn't have gone on Anon but experience has taught me that opposing opinions will make the followers of a blog insult and harass you so I tend to err on the side of caution. You see, I Love Love Love TMNT. And I love 2012 series, it's something I relate to so much and grew up with. It's my most favorite version of TMNT.
But the thing is, ever since the Rise movie got released, I've been seeing nothing but slander against the 2012 series and it breaks my heart every time I come across it. It has escalated to an unfair point that I've seen even 2012 fans who love it just as much begin hating aspects of it. I mean, don't get me wrong, it does have its flaws but it's unfair how highlighted those select few flaws are to the point of extremely biased comparisons and blame games and general 2012 slander which half the time doesn't even comply with canon. Moreover, literally every TMNT has its flaws just the same.
And recently, I've been seeing an increase in posts on your blog that have 2012 slander undercurrents or simply blatant frustrations with it. I love the comic but keep seeing this hatred still is just... it hurts ya know. Like really actually hurts.
So if possible, can you plz tag such posts with something I can filter out? (And let us know what that tag will be?) You don't have to but I really really love your art and comics, it's just the 2012 slander again that hurts me and I don't want to see it anymore. I've been seeing it everywhere.
Again, plz don't take this the wrong way, it's just something that's been hurting me and I had to get it off my chest. And find a solution to it that doesn't involve blocking or unfollowing because I genuinely do love this fancomic
Thank you for your feedback!!💕 (seriously feedback is extremely appreciated to me!)
I sorry my posts came off as 2012 slander, I really never meant it like that. I will admit I do critique media pretty aggressively, but I never mean it in a hateful way. TMNT 2012 is one of my absolute favorite shows and I love everything about! It’s the weird quirky stuff about it that while yes, I will criticize, I still love. It wouldn’t be the same without it. Just like the weather, I will complain about it, but I don’t want it to actually change.
I will try to be more conscious of how my posts are perceived, I really never wanted there to be a bias on my blog. I love all of TMNT for all it presents, and I don’t want to ever be slanderous!
Thank you again for your kind nudge! I’m very thankful to have people like you who’ll tell me if I’m making a mistake! I truly do love TMNT 2012. I can’t fix what I’ve said, but now that I know, I can be sure to be more careful to not sound biased going forward.
Again, I’m very sorry it came off that way, I didn’t mean to be so harsh. I never want to harm a series’s reputation, especially one that I love so much!
You are truly appreciated!💕
I know this won’t fix the things I’ve said, but I’ll say 3 of my top favorite things about 2012:
I love the way they depicted characters! They do an amazing job using indirect characterization that makes the characters feel so real. The characters don’t have to tell you things about themselves, you learn about them from the way the interact with each other, the way they solve problems, the things they like and dislike, and even what they’re doing in the background! It really feels like you’re there getting to know these fun people and go on adventures with them! Truly amazing!
I love the way the turtles look! Seriously I think they look so cool, and at the same time cute. They’re visual designs inspired me so much in my art and I will watch hours on end of them because they’re just so freaking cool!
I love the way their stories are told! The episodes are so well paced that it never feels boring to watch an episode! Believe it or not, I have never once wondered how many minutes are left on an episode. It’s so good at sucking you in and addicting you, that while I was watching it for the first time, I was straight up binging it and would be forced to put it down by my parents. Several times I would stop to eat something and have that weird “wait, who am I? What is my life?” Thing you get from a really good story. The stories and arc pacing are so good that Indie TMNT, my original series is using massive inspiration from 2012.
Once again, I am truly sorry for coming off as slanderous. Thank you for being so brave and telling me what many people were probably thinking. I want to do better. Thank you! :]

Doujin anon here, i think i was confused about what "Doujin" means since i had presumed it had just meant "fan manga" for awhile. While thats technically true partially, upon looking at the definition again it could also apply into other mediums as well. Does this mean all of those mspa fanadventures technically count as doujinshi or no? Idk, i didn't even know the proper terminology of the word for awhile correct me if im wrong I'm not savvy with Japanese terms. Like the other anon said, i was one of those people who didn't know what Japanese people meant by "cp" like i knew it didn't have any relation to you know what, but due to the language barrier i couldn't figure it out on my own. Ex: rkgk means sketch right? should probably look into a guide about the Japanese abbreviations and definitions for this stuff.
In a way, yes. Doujin itself means a group of people who share a hobby or interest. It's their word for fandom. Not to be confused with circle, which means a group of people (or even an individual person itself), selling doujin works as a team. Though not all Japanese people on places like Pixiv tag fanarts, as doujin 同人 when they upload it. Doujin also refers to works that started out as original comics, games, and more sold in Comiket that soon became professional works. Things like Touhou or Higurashi started out as an original game that was sold in Comiket, blew up in popularity as time went on. You can even think doujin games sold at Comiket like the ones mentioned here, as indie games. RKGK is the abbreviation for rakugaki, which means doodle or scribble in Japanese. Japanese artists tag this when they drew the art as said doodle or scribble to pass the time that it's not considered as art pieces to them. Most of the time though, I think said doodles make a great art piece alone. If you try telling them that, they get embarrassed and try to be humble. But please give them praises to let them know they are amazing! I don't blame you on the language barrier thing. Eastern fandom culture is different from the Western. When Japan does consume Western media, they take it as it is, a fictional media work. Compared to Western, who would think works from the past that were made in its time period, is problematic and should never be brought up again. Japan would know about the dark histories for some, but they also believe the intent for similar themes or topics that would be shown for upcoming or future works, is not out of maliciousness most of the time. The past is past and they would rather move on. With some exceptions based on country's personal history, but that's a whole other can of worms. The Japanese fandom also tend to be only exclusive to themselves. The relation between Eastern and Western fandom were not on good terms back then due to things like people reuploading Pixiv art and putting Nico Nico Douga videos on sites like YouTube, without permission. They even have applications for private community groups to make sure the person they are speaking to is Japanese and not some Western using a translator to sneak in and do things like download MMD models before releasing them back into public. Recently, Pixiv states that whatever country you are in, some content will not be shown there, to comply with other country's laws such as Europe's. Sites like Twitter/X already are banning stuff that's fine in Japan in order to follow Western standards. It's why sites like Misskey state that Japanese customs and beliefs towards certain media is different from America and Europe. If these bad communications and censorship keep going on, it won't be long until Japan finally decides all their works will only be Japanese exclusive and isolate themselves again. To the point they might even see if Western users are might be using VPNs to sneak in and block them. We really got to acknowledge the different fandom customs and cultures in various countries and languages. A Spanish community fandom will be different from something in English speaking ones. Not all groups have dark intentions. Only speak up if a person or group starts to get harmed because of it. And I don't mean like getting offended over a drawing someone stumbled upon by accident. I mean like someone harming themselves or anything truly legal involved.

I always wonder why DC changed the way they used to write Batman. Is it because fans back then didn't like an emotional Batman? Or is it because they wanted a darker character? Were his comic book sales down? It's strange to me how big a difference exists between the pre-crisis era and the post-crisis era. I'll use Jason Todd's origin story as Robin as an example!
In Jason's first appearance in the comics (where he was originally blond and had the same circus background as Dick Grayson), Bruce had fired Dick after he got shot by the Joker. Batman's worried it might happen again and wonders if it was a good idea to have a teenage partner, so he fired Dick, that's why he goes to work with the Titans, there's a difference here, Bruce doesn't blame him for anything, just patiently explains why he decided to do it (unlike later versions where he just fires Dick without explaining anything). So when Jason moves in with him and decides he wants to become Robin, Bruce does everything he can to stop it.
There are several times when Bruce says they can talk about Jason being Robin at another time, because he's worried that something bad might happen to him, like it did to Dick.
Until at a certain point Jason decides to wear Robin's outfit to help Batman, he's worried that Bruce might be in danger. In this part of the story, the narration makes it clear several times that Bruce was not happy with Jason's decision, first because the title of Robin belonged to Dick Grayson, and second because it was something dangerous. So, after that, Jason wears a different uniform and doesn't have a hero name yet.
Tumblr media
Soon afterward, Bruce and Jason spend a lot of time thinking up a decent hero's name, until Dick Grayson shows up and hands Jason his uniform, saying it doesn't belong to him anymore and now he needs to move on.
Tumblr media
There's a big difference between this first version and the post-crisis version, where Bruce deliberately hands Robin's uniform to Jason without even asking Dick, in fact, he isn't even informed about this new boy living in Wayne Manor. When Dick decides to confront Bruce about why he adopted another child and let Jason be Robin, Bruce says it's because he missed him, but things don't end well between them, Dick and Bruce fight and Dick leaves.
It makes me very thoughtful as to why DC decided to change the way Bruce related to Dick and Jason, and then to his new kids. In pre-crisis, Bruce tries very hard to be a good father and mentor to Jason, he always praises him even when Jason makes a mistake.
When Jason is taken away because the adoption process is still going on, Bruce is extremely depressed, it's described that he even cries. In the following days, Bruce reaffirms several times that he'd do anything and give all his money to get Jason back, and the same happens with Jason, he's very sad to have been taken away from Bruce.
Tumblr media
There are several times in the week they spend apart that Bruce can't stop talking about how much he misses Jason.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are several other very beautiful moments between the two of them that show how much Bruce loved Jason and how much he was willing to change, but nowadays that's not what we see anymore.
Tumblr media
I don't understand why DC decided to change, I don't know if it's the writers projecting on Bruce or it comes from an editorial decision, but it saddens me. I don't like the fanon version, like in the webtoon, for example, where Bruce is an extremely affectionate father, almost an angel, because Bruce has problems and you can't erase it, I like a flawed Bruce who tries to be the best he can for his kids, but there's no way to defend modern versions.
I can't sit here and say he's a good dad these days because he's not, and as much as I choose to ignore the things I don't like and say it's out of character for Bruce to act like that, there's no way to change what he is in canon.
I'd like DC to acknowledge the horrible decisions they made with Bruce and change. Stories can be constructed in different ways, I hope that one day DC realize the damage they had done to Batman as a character.

Hello, guys. I don't know if you have been asked this question before, but I don't understand, why do people hate so much Superman and Wonder Woman being together?
The problem is that rival shippers make ALOT of noise even though they are not in the majority and are a fraction of the  comic market. They also like to troll and stalk anything Superman and Wonder Woman related, be it a comic, animation, video or article etc as if to make it seem it is hated universally and unpopular when in fact the opposite is true.
They spend time writing articles or starting threads on sites or tweets on how terrible it is despite the fact they don’t buy the comics but begrudge others buying and enjoying them. They even blame SMWW for their comics not selling when SMWW is not even canon and they have what they want!  They attack the writers/ artists too like they did with Charles Soule, Tony Daniel etc. A prime  example can be seen  recently by one who attacked and threatened the writer of Immortal Wonder Woman Michael Conrad simply because he had some SMWW content in his story. The fact SMWW fans appreciated it and actually showed some appreciation triggers the hate.
This is the level of petulance and toxic kind of behaviour haters of SMWW engage in.
https://twitter.com/michaelwconrad/status/1362423000830599169?s=20
Many haters cannot bear the fans of the pair get a comic to enjoy. They want all for themselves and if SMWW fans stand up for themselves we are accused of all sorts of nonsense from bullying, homophobia, sexism, racism, xenophobia etc because we like SMWW together. Don’t ask me how I as a female of colour, who is from what some would call a “developing country” , can be accused of those things esp when the accusations come from people who are very priviledged and  who would know nothing about racism, or xenophobia. But those are some of the tactics haters love to indulge in.
If something is so hated one would assume it is not wanted and would fail in the market, right? SMWW content and merchandise should not even be made or licensed because everyone hates it, right? YET whose merchandise do we see time and time again? Anyone following this blog knows there is a constant flow of SMWW Licensed merchandise. From his/hers sets like perfume as in the Jean Paul Gaultier sets, onesies, robes, rings sets. We had/ have tees, bags, belts, dresses, salt and pepper shakers, hoodies, watches, phonecases, and more. We had not one but TWO Kiss statues that sold out. There were games like Herocix and Dicemasters. There was a recent book from Eaglemoss on THEM , not wonderbat or wondertrev, heck not even clois. They are always popular for Halloween, weddings, birthdays and cosplay. Hell SuperWonder is constantly used in pop art and paintings and on murals. eg See Dillon Boy whose paintings go for thousands of dollars! Superman and Wonder Woman even sell cleaning products and we have pics of scores of couples with their his/ hers tattoos !  Why is this? Because SMWW along with BatCat and possibly Joker/Harley are  popular with the general public and are marketed together. Why? Because WB is not stupid. And nor are merchants.
The SMWW comic also sold well. Heck, it sold better than the Rebirth Lois and Clark comic by Dan Jurgens and Batman and Wonder Woman one by Liam Sharp. Wondertrev is a weak pairing because Steve was not Diana’s lover for 30 plus years when he was aged up and married to Etta.  It’s only due to Chris Pine Steve had a bit of a resurgence and even then God knows what is going on with them in the Wonder Woman comic. It does not bother us in the least DC has clois or wondertrev content. While it’s not our cup of tea, we get many  fans tend to lean towards tradition. BUT we also know that there are many other fans who like Superman and Wonder Woman together. And we judge this by the sales of the new 52 which was very successful when one goes to sites like Comic Beat and Comichron and sees the actual numbers. Kingdom Come is a perennial bestseller and so is the Dark Knight Verse where SMWW are together.  It’s not hate and hyperbole that sells nor does every fan care about “tradition”. DC understands this and this is why they acknowledge their multiverse because those stories are some of their best selling as opposed to the stagnant/ recycled ones of canon.
Superman and Wonder Woman currently has an account on Instagram which is at 48k followers and is the biggest shipping one. Bigger than the traditional ones. Its content reflects the large, growing base and how diverse and universal our fandom is.  We boast fans of all ethnicities, religions, orientation, ages, etc and we don’t just talk, we have the evidence to back up our claims.
So no, we are not hated so much. What we have are people who feel so threatened by our couple they are willing to lie and misrepresent and bully and attack us . They tried those tactics here on tumblr too when we first started this blog in 2011. Just go back and see how salty they were.  They were burning comics and destroying statues. I don’t have the time or money or energy to go buy books of pairings I don’t like just to destroy them to get likes from other haters. I would rather give books to someone or use the money to do something for someone. There is something truly toxic in those actions.
I can only presume they tried to silence and shut us up because that was their way to keep their pairing on top without competition. They were not prepared to accept we could love these characters too and value Superman and Wonder Woman as individuals and see their heroism was not defined by only being with Lois or Steve. Fact we can see how unhealthy those troupes are when they do that to heroes. Superman becomes evil and forget everything he stands for while Diana is willing sit on her ass and mope for a dead man she met decades ago and only knew for a week or worse use someone’s body without caring about that individual’s right to consent because she wants this one man so much.
At the moment we are 25,921 thousand followers on this blog. So along with the 48 thousand on Instagram, and the many other groups elsewhere, I think we are doing pretty well. Remember, we don’t have movies and tv series but what SuperWonder has are passionate and enthusiastic fans who buy content and write and draw and even if we had 100 instead of thousands, it’s our right to like what we like and no one can stop us. So be proud and ship SuperWonder.

hey hello hi SO here's the deal I legit adore all your bird facts and your tag rambles n whenever I see them I'm like "!!!!!!" so I wanted to ask you a Bird Question so I get to hear more rambles but I don't know enough about birds to ask anything that sounds smart SO if this is not a weird request maybe could I please have some words about... 1) a Weird Bird, 2) a Cool Bird and 3) a bird you would most like to be bros with. sorry if this is a super weird ask ahaha ok cya later have a good day
HI HELLO you actually read those??? omg that very much makes me v happy to hear I just like to throw up knowledge into the tags and then assume no-one is gonna ever observe it.
Wowza. Secret fan right here :D
Okay okay birds. Biiiirds. I gotchya man. Lots of my college project has been looking into birds. I know birds.
However, I do live in England where there aren’t many weird birds. Our birds are kinda tame. I guess the tiny birds are kinda weird. I’ll give you some tiny bird facts.
European robins are very shy little birds, very wary and cautious around people in most of Europe. Here is one of them;
Tumblr media
Little fat lad. In most of Europe, v shy. However! In England, they are super bold. Very daring. Very commonly seen in gardens and allotments, waiting for gardeners to finish digging at a patch to go rummaging for bugs and other things they can eat. This is because in England, it’s considered bad luck to kill robins (don’t ask why I couldn’t find out) so they’re v safe here.
They were called Robin Red Breast for a while, due to... red. Postmen in Victorian England also wore red around winter time, as part of their uniform, so a popular nickname for postmen in winter was Robin Red Breast. It became a sign of Christmas coming, hence why robins are so strongly associated with Christmas despite being year-round visitors. The last bit of their name was dropped but the sentiment remains.
Other small bird facts; Goldfinches! V pretty birds. Here’s a picture
Tumblr media
Wow look at that bird, so pretty! So, the deal with goldfinches was that they have super sweet song. I can hear one outside right now, actually, v tuneful, v recognisable songbirds. As a result, for a lot of history, goldfinches have been caught to keep as cage birds, to sing away and make rich lords and ladies houses sound nice. Rude practise.
People think their population has been declining and blame the magpie. You’re Australian so maybe you’re like ‘reeee magpie’ (although my brain is telling me you don’t hate them and think they’re bros correct me if I’m wrong) but here magpies are mostly disliked because of their habit of taking from nests - a behaviour common to many corvids (more on that later). However! There have been lots of studies into this, and it was found that areas with higher magpie populations had no correlation to the number of songbird deaths in the area. Almost like... industrialisation and farming are driving them out of their area.
These are long rambles. There are two info-splurges on tiny birds. Let’s move on to a cool bird, the swift! The common swift. Just to be clear.
Tumblr media
I fucking adore swifts. Every year I wait eagerly for May to roll around so they return to England again. They are delightful birds, even if their screams are a bit unnerving. In Medieval times, people used to think their screams were the screams of damned souls in hell, and that when swifts vanished during the winter, they were buried in the mud to sleep, a belief held due to their nest-building habits of dried mud being the main item used to build nests.
Swifts barely ever land!! The only exception to this is to feed their chicks. When they’re little chicks, they do press-ups with their wings to build up wing muscles, Once they leave the nest, they keep flying for most of their life, only stopping when THEY have chicks!!! They eat, sleep and mate on the wing!!! Wild man!!
As said before in the tags that I think you read, they rarely fly in the rain when in England/Europe - they fly to eat the bugs, and the bugs hide when it rains, so they just.... fly around the storm. They’re the only bird to actually do this. Unrelated but also neat, they’re one of the oldest species of birds, and whilst they look like swallows and house martins, they’re most closesly related to the hummingbird!!!
Swifts have the fastest level flying speed of 69mph. This means that it has the fastest speed it achieves by itself - the fastest bird of all is the peregrine falcon with its dive breaking speeds of 240mph!! That’s wild. They also keep flying for the longest, as said, and fly the furthest, from Africa to Europe and back again every year. One swift was recorded flying 4 million miles in its life - the same as travelling to the moon and back 8 times!!! Crazy. Insane. I love swifts.
Bird I would most like to be bros with is the crow 100% because. Hello. Have we met. I love crows. Carrion crows, because they’re the crow we have here the most.
Tumblr media
There they are!!! V pretty. I love them. So much.
So! Carrion crows often get a bad wrap for a variety of reasons, mostly history based, which is what I was actually exploring in the funky crow comic I’ve been doing for college work. I will say I blame Christianity and Alfred Fucking Hitchcock for their demonisation the most. They’re actually bros, being able to recognise human faces, reward those who are nice to it and punish those who are cruel. They can also tell other crows which humans are good and bad.
As said previously, a lot of corvids attack nests and eat eggs or young of other birds. I can’t defend this much - it’s what corvids do. Hell, the local crow in our area recently attacked the jackdaw nest across the road. It happens. C’est la vie. They do this because they’re scavengers, opportunistic, eating anything and everything they can, which is most likely how they’ve adapted so well to the huge industrial boom and in so many different places around the world!
In Japan, the Kanji for ‘crow’ is the same as the Kanji for ‘bird’, except the bit that symbolises the eye is removed. This is because crows, being all black with beady black eyes, look like they don’t have eyes from a distance. I learnt that from Persona 5.
Their brains are huge!! Smart boyos!!! Hell, in terms of brain to body mass, their brains are bigger than apes!!! They’re insanely good at problem solving, with wild crows who were kept in captivity for short periods for testing being able to solve multi-step problems (some problems being 8 steps long!) for food!!! They’ve also been seen playing around with each other and the environment, something that had only been seen in apes and other high-intelligence and social creatures. They recognise their reflection. They have been observed making tools in the wild. They are very smart.
Crows have really interesting routines and behaviours they follow regarding death - when finding a dead crow, they sound the alarm, and all swarm around the body, working together to try and figure out how it died and if it’s a threat to all of them. Sometimes they lay things on the dead crow, which some believe is similar to burying. If you’re interested in this, Kaeli Swift is a good name to look into - she specialises in corvid behaviour.
My head is now going blank with crow facts but I think there are more. Support your local corvid nerd. Support your local bird nerd! Didn’t know I had so many facts rattling in my head.
This uhhhh got long. If you got to the end, thumbs up 10/10 appreciate. Hope you have a top tier day :D
