kirbtober day 7 - headcanon, prompt courtesy of paintpanic obligatory explaining under cut

Galacta Knight and Aura Knight, the Nymphalis twins, were the GSA's highest-performing soldiers on Planet Portalia, having trained hard to earn their ranks. still young, though, they had a lot to learn about the world - thus, they were each assigned apprentices.

while Aura Knight's mentee, Collibe, was straightforward if not a bit shy, Galacta got a challenge. Twinkle was born with a genetic condition making him notably small, and it meant he would likely never grow wings or horns. being his little sister, Collibe tried to keep him in high spirits, but he was generally uninterested in staying positive.

Galacta and Aura would frequently take their apprentices to the Popberry fields they used to play in as children, sometimes to train, sometimes just to take in the sights. today, Twinkle is again very disappointed in himself over something he will, for sure, one day learn to overcome, being the chosen wielder of Galaxia.

...nowadays, if you ask the GSA about the whereabouts of Galacta or Aura Knight, they'll tell you, "some things are best left unspoken". even Meta Knight, Galacta Knight's former apprentice, refuses to speak on the matter. even if HIS peculiar apprentice keeps finding themselves dragged into remains of Portalia's past...

-IC- Name: Ser Atticus Corvus Magnus Felevandriel Starling Preferred Name: Atticus, or Corvus Race: Elezen/Roegydan (Elf/Galjent) Age: 36 (technically) Martial Status: Widowed- not currently looking for relationship Alignment: Lawful Good, subject for possible change during events of Endwalker or heavy character development Personality (summarized): Glass half full, optimistic but not so much it blinds him to reality. Chooses to see the good in people until there's no good left. Makes friends easily, however chooses intimate company carefully. Loyal and honest, sometimes to a fault. Bound to his own personal Knights code, embraces charity, compassion, and honor even to an enemy. Works well with others and understands and embraces established chains of command, however stays to his own moral code over orders that go against it. Somewhat stubborn and prideful but works to stay humble and modest. He does not tolerate blatant racism and actively speaks against it. Background (summarized): Once a Knight of the far, far, far flung kindgom of Voeburt, Atticus has only been released from the fae spell that captured him during the last six months. Fallen during battle against the sin eaters during the fall of the kingdom (and directly before the Flood), he finds himself 100 years lost to the First's current timeline after being released from a fae spell that had captured and preserved his dying body. Now in Eorzea through the MAGIC OF PORTALS (previously established RP arc) he's doing his best to become a citizen of Eorzea. His true past is highly secretive, thus all who meet him will learn of his falsified Eorzean background and family that have long since died. Of "Limsan and Gridanian" descent he stays vague about his life on Eorzea, never speaks of Voeburt or the First and attempts to live and work in "the now" as an Eorzean. Those who RP First natives may have a chance to recognize him as being First born through accent, bearing, or family name, but ooc talk about it first would be a must. Suitable work/positions: Adventuring, dungeon diving, ruin crawling, possible sellsword/mercenary work to a certain degree.

ALUMNI HOUSE: Slytherin. WAND (LENGTH, FLEXIBILITY, WOOD, & CORE): The Lestrange family have a number of heirloom wands that are tested on their heirs; prior to his imprisonment, Rabastan’s wand was a Sycamore, dragon heartstring, 10 1/2″ inches, supple. This wand was first confiscated, then destroyed by the Auror’s department after the trial. The wand he bonded to after being acquitted of the crimes he was imprisoned for is a Silver Lime with an augurey tail feather core, 11 1/4″ inches, extremely flexible. This wand is .. unpredictable. Much like Rabastan himself. AMORTENTIA: A fine Merlot, gentle breeze, fields of lavender, fresh bread, fine food and lambs blood. It evokes nights dining al fresco at his grandparents Chateau in Provence. PATRONUS: He has never produced one and it is highly unlikely he ever will. If he did manage to produce a patronus it would likely be a Hyena. BOGGART: Dementors have the most visceral effect on Rabastan these days.
