#direct action: find this mutual and then kidnap them so they are close enough actually

I was reading through your tags and you mentioned at some point the kazuscara roommates finding your onlyfans and I think I completely combusted—thus i present to you my brain rot of late: you attend the same school as them but you’re not actually friends, all you know about kazuha is that he’s the friendly regular at the cafe you work at, who makes polite conversation every now and then but otherwise is nothing of note. In reality he’s been stalking you for weeks ever since your first encounter, and is dead set on the idea that you’re this innocent, weak thing that needs to be protected (maybe he stepped in when you had a bad customer and your meek reply helped fester his delusions?). Scara, on the other hand, is only aware of your presence since you’re his favourite cam model that he recently found. (Since he’s a harbinger he’s probs loaded) Weeks of funnelling money towards you cause him to feel this unwarranted possessiveness, believing that since he’s been providing so much in your “relationship” that it’s time you reward him in turn. However, despite the unbridled interest they have toward you neither are aware of each other’s feelings for you— that is, until you happen to run into the both of them heading to your class. While both are known for maintaining their stoic masks, they’re friends for a reason— and instantly can tell the attraction their roommates have towards their own “lover”. After kazuha finds your onlyfans he’s certain that you’ve been coerced and wants to save you, while scara thinks it’s time that he’s stopped letting other plebeians look at his possession—so, despite their initial reservations, come together to form the ideal plan. When you find yourself waking up groggy in a room you don’t recognize, all they can do is look on with glee whilst planning their next course of action with their new belonging. They’re friends after all, and good friends share though, don’t they?
This is v long srry lol you can ignore this ofc!!
AAAH, ANON!! YES!!! <3 I couldn’t resist writing more on this concept. orz They make for such a terrifying pair when they work together!
(cw: yandere, stalking, nsfw, implied kidnapping/drugging, unhealthy behaviors/relationship, delusional thoughts, savior complex, implied violence)
What if Kazuha and Scara were just acquainted with one another and actually became closer through their mutual obsession with you? Yes, they’re roommates and ought to get along because they’re living together but they haven’t exactly clicked yet. They talk every now and then and know little things about each other. Nothing too special. They don’t really hang out outside of their dorm either, what with their class schedules being vastly different. And Kazuha’s always out of the dorm doing who-knows-what. Most of his time is spent at a café, where he’ll write and read and stare at you while you work. On the other hand, Scara prefers to stay inside if he doesn’t have a good reason to go out. He likes his alone time. Although he has enjoyed going to the library every now and then to study.
So maybe they need to find some common ground. Maybe they need a push in the right direction before they get closer.
Kazuha likes to stare. Talking to you is great, but he worries he’ll say too much and then he’ll be a nuisance, or you might not want to talk to him at all since you’re working. But you always regard him with a warm smile, happy to scribble his name on the plastic cup because you remember him. Because you recognize his familiar face and soft, gentle eyes. He’s the one who saved you from that rude customer, after all, and he’s a polite regular. Why wouldn’t you know him? You might look like you can handle those types of situations, but what Kazuha saw that day was something entirely different. You were nervous—so soft-spoken and scared. He absolutely has to protect you from those kinds of people now, doesn’t he?
And he does exactly that. He’s your second pair of eyes—your valiant knight in shining armor—who sees and hears all. Sometimes he goes to the café with the intention to simply watch over you and make sure no one’s bothering you. He can recall one time when a customer was speaking rudely about you because her drink hadn’t been prepared in a ‘timely manner.’ In reality it’s impossible to make a drink within a few seconds, especially when you’re already preoccupied with making another customer’s drink. She must’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed, or maybe she’s just a hateful person in general. You didn’t deserve to be on the receiving end of such fiery insults, though.
Her eyes just can’t see your perfection and therefore she does not deserve to see out of them.
Kazuha’s willing to wrestle with all of this darkness if it means you’ll stay safe, oblivious, and pure. You’re like a defenseless kitten, unable to protect yourself from the scary world. He writes about you a lot in his journal; you’re his muse—someone who constantly shows up in poems and short paragraphs where he tries to describe what your dream date might be or what type of wedding you’d prefer. Things get darker the deeper you delve into his writings, where you’ll find entries in great detail. Kazuha writes a lot and he doesn’t even mean to. He just has to get all of his thoughts on paper before they abandon him and he’s left with emptiness.
Everything you do is pure; you’re almost an equivalent to a holy being. Your smell is pure. Your body is pure. Your actions are pure. Your smile is pure. Even when you’re on the verge of crying from harsh customers or when you’re turning down a confession, you’re still pure. And Kazuha likes that about you because it’s special. There aren’t many people in his life who are completely pure. He’s been through a lot of rough things and has seen firsthand how impure people can be. It’s only fair that he gets a chance to protect purity itself.
He might have some impurities, but that doesn’t deter him from watching over you. As gentle and unassuming as he is, there are times when even he loses his composure. Not many are privy to these dark emotions of his. His smiles are sharp and venomous and his eyes fill with a gloom so dark it can swallow you whole. You’ll never see this side of him; he won’t allow it. Instead you’re treated to his sweet, calm side, where he feigns perfection in hopes of catching your interest.
As for Scara… He doesn’t really care about Kazuha in the beginning. He’s just someone he has to live with. It’s not a big deal and as long as he doesn’t try to make lots of pointless conversation everything will be okay. He prefers the peace and quiet, considering he’s acquainted with people who are far from peaceful and quiet. Scara’s relieved that Kazuha leaves the dorm so often because it gives him an opportunity to watch his favorite cam star’s most recent video. He’s your most loyal follower—someone who’s paid lots of money just to have access to the highest tier of rewards and such. He even got a private video where you addressed him and moaned out his name with lustful thoughts of him. Having lots of money comes in handy.
When he finds out that you go to the same school as him, he’s a little shocked. He didn’t expect you to be so close. You’re practically within touching distance. If only he knew your schedule. If only you were in one of his classes. It’s really annoying that he only knows your online presence and not who you might be in your personal life. The last thing he’s going to do is consult Childe, that popular athlete who knows literally everyone in the school for whatever reason. Surely he knows you. But he’ll die before he ever asks Childe for a favor.
Scara loves you out of every other cam model because you’re different. You’re not just trying to get fast cash. You’re genuine. You listen to your subscribers and their feedback. You do your best to improve and do even better streams than the previous ones. All of your hard work is overlooked by the other fools who watch your streams, but it isn’t overlooked by him. Scara appreciates your attention to detail and the way you’re able to hook him with your breathless voice alone. You’re very skilled at what you do, so it’s only fair you get paid for it.
But buying your services isn’t enough. It’s not a real relationship, but it certainly feels like it when he buys preferential treatment. Private shows, special requests, odd favors—you do it all because he pays for it. But this relationship isn’t going to be one-sided forever. You’ll have to pay him back in full eventually. Scara likes to think he has patience and that waiting is fine. It gives him more time to plan his next move—to figure out what he should do to finally have you all to himself. So that those private shows he watches through a screen can finally be real.
Scara finds the journal sitting innocently on Kazuha’s bed, its maroon cover and maple leaves pulling at his curiosity. He might not know everything about Kazuha, but he’d recognize this journal anywhere. His roommate almost always has it on his person. Scara wouldn’t be surprised if he slept with it. To say he’s curious would be absolutely correct. He can only wonder what Kazuha writes in that thing. Perhaps it’s just notes for a class. That’s what anyone would think, right?
Scara opens it and flips through the first few pages. They’re normal for the most part. Just a bunch of haikus and other useless scribbles. When he skips over some pages, he starts to find things that are far more interesting than poetry and doodles of cats. He finds the majority of the journal is comprised of information. More specifically, there are facts and other knowledge about you—the cam model he’s been obsessed with ever since he stumbled upon your onlyfans. He reads through as much of the journal as he can and instantly learns so much: your address, your roommate, your workplace, your friends’ names, names of any potential exes. The list goes on and on.
Scara doesn’t have anything against Kazuha. His first impression of him wasn’t anything groundbreaking. He thought he was a pushover at first. But now that he knows what this journal holds… Well, it sheds an entirely new light on his roommate.
Just days before Scara took a peek inside his journal, Kazuha discovers your secret online life. He snoops through Scara’s laptop when he steps out, having left it open and unlocked. He’s just trying to find what could have caught Scara’s interest, as he’s almost always glued to his laptop on specific days at specific times, with his headphones on and his gaze unyielding. He doesn’t intend to find the file of one of your private videos—something that was meant only for Scara’s eyes.
He clicks on the video out of interest. He’s not sure what he was expecting to see, but it definitely wasn’t this. Kazuha sits there and stares at the sight before him. You’re dressed in skimpy lingerie and you’re muttering the dirtiest things while coating your fingers in lube. And your hands are stroking a thick toy and you’re addressing Scara and you’re lining it up to your hole and— He shuts the laptop before it can get even more explicit than it already is. He’s so conflicted, fraught with a betrayal so strong it weighs his heart down.
Why would he have this sort of video on his laptop? Did you give it to him? Did he make you do this? Are you in danger? Are you still pure?
Kazuha can’t kill on campus. It’s way too risky and he’d be one of the first suspects if Scara’s body is found. Besides, it’s not like he has the full story. He doesn’t know whether or not Scara’s done something that’s worthy of death. You could just be in a tight spot. He knows how easily you give in when you’re under pressure. Maybe you’re just doing this because you feel like it’s the only thing you can do. Not to worry; Kazuha will save you before Scara can ruin your purity with his twisted fantasies.
They confront each other when the time feels right. Kazuha struggles to keep a smile plastered to his face for the sake of politeness, while Scara holds in his raging temper so that he can bear some semblance of cooperation. Neither of them is happy to hear that the other went through their stuff, but they force themselves to make up because a more pressing issue is at hand: their connection to you.
Kazuha says he’s your secret admirer. Scara says he’s in a relationship with you. There’s no way you’d ever date someone like Scara—Kazuha knows this for a fact. Yet he falters at the confidence in Scara’s tone. That can’t be the truth, right? Despite this, Kazuha still strikes up an offer: If they work together to get what they both want, they’ll be unstoppable. With Scara’s riches and his influence and Kazuha’s charisma and clever thinking, they can easily get their hands on you. Of course this means they’ll have to share, but it’s not a big deal when they’re already in so deep. They both know the other’s secret; now they’re swearing to keep it in the pursuit of having you all to themselves. And luckily Scara agrees to the deal, but that doesn’t give Kazuha a reason to lower his guard.
However despite how well they work together when it comes to planning the kidnapping and actually executing it, they both have their own reasons for wanting you. Scara wishes to make his relationship with you a reality—to toss aside the screen that once held him back and finally do all of the things he could only do in his dreams. Kazuha seeks to protect your fragile heart, lest you crumble under Scara’s intense way of doing things and cling to him for salvation. You can’t do those sorts of things with Scara; he won’t allow it. Your purity is meant for him and no one else.
But sharing is caring and some have to learn that the hard way. It definitely brings Kazuha and Scara closer together, even if neither of them will admit it. If they look past their desires, they can be friends. And soon enough they’ll have to accept this new friendship if they want to avoid any unnecessary complications.
However there are times when they’ll cooperate in order to do things with you. They’re a packaged deal you can’t get rid of.

Venti’s a Superhero (GN)
Tumblr media
1) You’re in law enforcement
The two of you have a pretty typical hero-officer relationship. He catches the supervillains, you cart them off to prison. It’s not a big deal and you don’t think much of it.
Or, rather, you wouldn’t if your co-workers would just leave things be. However, they keep pushing you to be the one to interact with him. Something about him liking to work with you specifically, which is ridiculous.
Sure he does flirt with you and drops the cheesiest pick up lines ever. And sure, he does smile a lot when you’re around. But it’s not like he’s serious about it, right? He jokes around by flirting with villains after all, so how do you know this isn’t a joke too?
It’s honestly kind of hard on you because you’ve found yourself falling for him. Who wouldn’t, honestly? He’s strong, charming, and just a really nice guy. It has nothing to do with the way he laughs at your stupid jokes or protected you fiercly the couple of times you were specifically targeted in an attack.
But when he shows up in front of the police station with a ukelele and sings you a cheesy love song he apparently wrote himself, you have to face the truth. He does, in fact, actually like you. The flirting was playful, not pretended. The cute superhero guy actually likes you back.
It’s kind of overwhelming honestly. So when he asks you on a date right after you’re kind of speechless. His face falls when you apparently take too long to respond and you have to chase after him as he walks away, dejected, to reassure him that yes, you’d love to go on a date with him.
“Why did you decide to wear your superhero costume on our date again?” You ask him, hyper aware of all the stares that the two of you are getting. The press are at the cafe doors, only kept out by threat of legal action from the owner of the establishment. Thank goodness they’re apparently a big fan of Venti and the work he does. Also, Venti is apparently a regular here. Who knew?
He takes a sip of his dandelion tea and glances out at the press nervously. “Well, I guess I’m just worried about doing an identity reveal for our first date. I was thinking maybe third or something.” You blink and a smile spreads across your face. “Oh? So you want there to be a third date before our first date is even over?” You tease him. His face flushes red. “Yeah,” he admits. “I can’t picture myself with anyone else. I’ve fallen for you and I can’t get up.”
2) You’re a journalist
You have always loved superheroes. They’re just so cool! Someone with a secret identity working a double life to serve and save the people around them? How awesome is that! And so when you move to Mondstadt and found out that they have their very own superhero, Barbatos, you are absolutely thrilled!
And, even better, your boss knows about your love of superheroes and assigns you to be the journalist representing the company on superhero related matters- including Barbatos!
So you take to your new task with gusto! This is exactly why you became a journalist! You will get all the best scoops and make your company proud. And if this involves showing up at all his fights and following him on patrol, well, that’s just doing your job, right?
Meanwhile, Venti, or Barbatos, is starting to be seriously concerned about your mental and physical health. Are you obsessed? Is this hyperfixation unhealthy for you? Are you overworking yourself? What if you get hurt from one of his fights? What is he supposed to do in this situation?
In the end, he decides to take a minute to talk to you about it during his regular patrol. He’s relieved to find out that yes, you are okay, and that you’re really just a super big fan. Eventually talking to you becomes a habit.
As time passes, you start putting less and less private details into your articles and stick to more public knowledge and juicy bits you get from battles and about villains. The stuff he tells you on patrol stays with you as the two of you get to know each other better. Soon you’re good friends, and maybe are edging into more.
It was a night almost like any other, except for how it wasn’t. This time he’d picked you up, bridal style, and flew both of you up onto a rooftop. Now the two of you are taking a well deserved rest stargazing together. “And there’s sagittarius,” you point to a constellation in the sky. You were fascinated with stars a couple years ago and had a wealth of information you could share with him.
“Sagittarius, huh?” He murmured. “Right there?” Now he was pointing at it too.
“Not quite,” you reply. You wrap a hand around the hand he’s pointing with and adjust it’s direction. “Right there.”
When you don’t get a response, you turn and look at him, only to find him as red as the apples he loves so much. It seems to get even worse when he notices you looking and he stutters a bit before he is finally able to spit out what he’s been trying to say for weeks.
“I really, really like you.”
3) You’re a fellow superhero
You are a superhero called Torque who has total control over cars. Your weapon arsenal consists of fifteen different toy cars that you can shrink and grow at will and use to knock villains off their feet. Sure they have more tricks to them, but you can’t give all your secrets away, can you?
Your specialty is evacuation, but you’re also good at keeping supervillains on their toes. Getting run over by cars doesn’t tend to be fun. So you can distract them from the other hero they are fighting. Because of this you make excellent back up and are often on call.
He is better in combat situations because of his aerokinesis. His abilities make him great for emergency response because he can get to the fights quickly and take immediate, safe action. The level of control he has makes him incredibly versatile too.
The two of you end up working together very often. He will show up early with you coming in not too long after. You will take over evacuation and protecting the citizens, allowing him to completely focus on the villain. As soon as you’re done evacuating, you join in the frey.
Your teamwork is legendary among the hero community and you’re a very popular duo in the eyes of the citizens. Famous for prioritizing civilian safety and quick takedowns, you’re effective and efficient. So far as most anyone knows, you’re just good friends, despite 80% of your fanbase shipping you.
In reality though, you’re already married. It’s a secret because you don’t want your identities to be compromised and your different relationship levels in and out of costume add another layer of safety to your disguises. If they knew, though, they would love how domestic the two of you are at home.
You slip into your home through the window. A relieved sigh escapes your lips as you close the window behind you, only for you to nearly shriek as someone suddenly wraps their arms around your waist and blows in your ear. Venti laughs from behind you. “Ehe, you’re always so fun to surprise.”
He smiles into your shoulder and holds you unusually close. The smile seems a little strained. “Today was close, are you okay?” He asks you. Oh. He’s talking about how you almost got hit today. Usually you’re fast enough to avoid hits like that, but you got distracted while evacuating and almost didn’t see it coming. “I don’t know what I’d do without you, so be more careful, okay?”
4) You’re a hostage he saves
The two of you know nothing about each other at the time. You’re a regular citizen of Mondstadt who was going about their business as normal until you got kidnapped.
It all went so fast. One moment you were walking down the street, the next you were being held hostage with a knife to your throat. While you’re terrified, he rescues you as quickly as the villain got you.
There’s just something special about being saved by a superhero. As someone who had been crushing on him for a while even before being rescued, it was all a bit too much for you to comprehend.
He happens to have just the biggest crush on you out of costume, not that he ever planned to tell you. But there was something special about being able to save you, being your hero.
If either of you thought your crush couldn’t get worse, you were dead wrong. The media is all over it, spinning dramatic love stories about how he’d apparently been especially careful with you and you’d given him the look.
You start following news about him more frequently and he keeps a special eye on you the times he happens to spot you on patrol. Daydreams about each other are more common now and your mutual pining reaches new levels.
You hear a sharp rap as something hits your window. It continues for a couple time before you get curious enough to check out what’s going on. Apparently someone’s been throwing rocks at your window. Opening the window, you peer down to see who’s there and nearly get hit in the face. Thankfully, Barbatos catches the rock before it hits you.
“Whoops, sorry,” he apologizes. “I didn’t mean to almost hit you. I was just trying to get your attention.” He pulls a bouquet of flowers from behind his back, cecilias. “I got this for you! Hopefully you like it as much as I like you!” The blush dusting his cheeks has nothing on the warmth that covers your face. Are you sure you are not dreaming?

I know this so soon, especially after posting it. But may ask for part two for Ciel in Twisted wonderland?
Of course you can ! Thank you all guys for your great support on last part ! Hope you enjoy this ♥
Part one : Ciel In Twisted Wonderland
Sebastian in twisted wonderland
Tumblr media
This demon...his not existing heart stops when he goes to wake the young master up but finds the bed empty . There is no way of him getting kidnapped , not a single soul could do it so silently and carefully to hide from his sight . It surely isn't with Ciel running away himself either because 1) He was nothing more than a weak child when it came to serious actions on his his own and 2) He knew that Sebastian would find him anyway and eat his soul in terms of acting against their contract
But if no human was here last night to kidnap or help him run away , then who could it be ?
Sebastian doesn't't care to receive any direct answers , after all his demonic powers are far greater than this and he can sense Ciel's soul somewhere out there , he's still alive
Takes him an afternoon to search each and every spot of London , two days for the whole country and 5 days until Sebastian searches every place on earth that he could've found Ciel on , to find nothing . This only had one meaning :
Not on earth yet still alive . Ciel is on another dimension and Sebastian is coming for him . Takes Sebastian some time searching possible options between different dimensions , but once he finds twisted wonderland , he is fascinated by how easy he could enter ; perhaps something about this place has the same energy to a demon
Night Raven College ; what a great spot to begin with . He now can smell Ciel's soul through the air and knows that he's Nothing more than a few meters away : Problem solved !
He can go pick Ciel up and right away and by the next morning , he'll be simple the butler he always is , serving some earl gray tea together with almond and chocolate cake . But doesn't it sound a bit too unfair...? Even demons need entertainment sometimes ; also this new world seems to be pretty interesting to him and he doesn't mind playing around for just a while
Crowley still hasn't get over why or where Ciel came from and now , a second one arrives out of nowhere ?? He looks too old to be a student but then what is he doing here ? Oh man...Birdy man would surely need a loooong vacation after this issue is solved...
Since Crowley is the first to arrive at him , Sebastian doesn't bother asking him where his little , tiny master is . Dark gray-blue hair and a blindfold on his right eye - enough to address
Crowley can't be any happier than someone finally came to take that disaster away , but then worries for a second : Does this butler know how to make a return to another world...?
Sebastian decides to leave answering this question to Crowley's imagination , and goes after Ciel as his first priority is
Ciel and Grim are having another late night argument when Sebastian arrives . In a blink of an eye , Sebastian grabs both of them and brings them up to stop them from making all these noise
"A cat...?" Oh ? Young master really can't take cats , right ? How pathetic for real , even a demon like him can't resist hugging such a cute and fluffy creature . And it talks ? Whoa this world is really something
Sebastian let's go of both of them and it's time for Ciel to freeze again : He finally came
Ciel asks if it's really him and Sebastian is low-key entertained to see Ciel actually missing him . He offers him a hug saying that's what humans do when meeting each other after a long time , but all Ciel gives him is a slap . Where the hell was he all this time ??! It's been weeks since Ciel had disappeared and he was giving up on him ever coming
MC is terrified by Ciel's ear scratching shouts thinking that it's just Grim and him arguing again . They quickly come out to separate them before it gets worse but instead , faces a very tall , handsome man holding Grim with his arms with half of his face as red a tomato , exactly like when Eliza slapped all guys . And Ciel is shouting at him yet he's this calm smiling and doing nothing ? Nonsense...
Just as MC is watching , Sebastian recognizes someone nearby and is stunned to see MC : Another human ? What a strange coincidence... . MC on the other hand has more things to worry about : Who is this man and what does he have to do with Ciel ? They hadn't ever seen him before and his clothing is more similar to a servant than a part of school's staff or something... To be honest , there's one more thing that seems odd about him : He seems too familiar
Sebastian notices MC's confusion and thinks that maybe he's heard enough of Ciel's naggings ; in a few minutes , the whole bunch is chilling and having tea inside the Ramshackle dorm , Sebastian made the tea of course
MC doesn't know how to feel , but since he is supposedly Ciel's servant , they decide to trust him . Grim on the other hand is really interested in this dude showing up : Not only did he shut the half blind brat's mouth but he also seems to be pretty strong and chill . He says that he likes cats as well...man of culture
Ciel doesn't get why Sebastian is slowing down again , why don't they return immediately ? It's already taken him too long and staying here much longer would be nothing but a waste . Although Sebastian can make a return to London it withing a second , he tells his master that he needs to take care of an business for sometime here , and he doesn't lie ( He needs to have some time to chill even as a demon and also , extra information never does any harm ) He insures Ciel that no threat would come close to him now that he's here , so then Ciel finally agrees , but he also clarifies that he's already being chased by a considerable majority of this school ( in other words : He is in a great trouble) and Sebastian promises to protect him by all means ; just as always
Ciel is still forced to attend classes because : 1) Sebastian told him it's good to learn possibly useful lessons belonging to a world of magic 2) Sebastian is lurking around all day and taking care of Ciel's current issues so he would be on his own if he stays at Ramshackle dorm
Sebastian has learned enough through Ciel's stories to know what he must do first , so here he is : The mostrolounge
The infamous tweels are a bit fascinated , yet interested to greet this unexpected guest of them , and when Sebastian asks for where he can find their manager , they gladly lead him to Azul's office and then , Sebastian asks them to leave the two of them alone . No one knows what happened in those 26 minutes but Azul came out putting a hand on Sebastian's shoulder , snickering and saying it's good to see this misunderstanding solved . Sebastian agrees with a bright smile , wishes them all a nice business day and leaves. Floyd and Jade don't ask what they talked about and Azul probably wouldn't answer if they did ; but let's just say that Azul doesn't say a word for the rest of the day and his sweaty face and shakey hands , kinda explain why
Well then , another problem solved , now Sebastian wants to get to know these creatures better . Must of them look like humans but with more advantages , interesting
He likes : Grim ( A talking cat ? How can Sebastian resist ? ) Riddle ( Low-key having Ciel's spirits , but in a mature way ) , Ace and Deuce ( Children these days... still fun to tease though ) , Trey Clover ( Perhaps the picture of a high-key good servant ) , Jade and Floyd ( Beside looking a lot alike , they get along pretty well . The calm yet mysterious Jade opposing the cheerful but frightening Floyd , these two would be what Sebastian can call his perfect mutuals , Ruggie Bucchi ( The forced servant of an unworthy master , he couldn't relate anymore ) , Jamil Viper ( The underestimated yet , intelligent and talented servant . Taking advantage of someone who took away all his changes to shine seems pretty fair to Sebastian , he can see the day Jamil would be an almighty ruler of his own ) , Rook Hunt ( Born to be a hunter , his spirits are appreciative ) , Malleus Draconia ( Dark and Mysteriously powerful , don't these sound similar to what Sebastian is...? He can say it for sure that Malleus as well has noticed Sebastian's unusual aura ) , Lilia Vanrouge ( Ah ~ old souls , golden thoughts , right ? It's been a. while since Sebastian could see someone understanding these benefits of living for centuries )
He dislikes : Cater ( Acts sassy , sneaks quietly . What a smart and annoying guy ) , Azul Ashengrotto ( Big words coming from an emotional child , he acts tough but he has no idea how much more he has to learn to become a real contracter... ) , Leona Kingscholar ( Pittyful and helpless , bullying others may make him feel powerful , but eill never change the fact that he'll never ever be a king ) , Kalim al Asim ( He stole Jamil all he should've had , just because of money. One day this foolish child will pay for it ) , Vil Schoenheit ( Why wasting your all on beauty ? He could be anything , way greater than the pathetic man he now is . Yet he wastes his all for something this shortlasting and worthless...You will get old one day , and all your beauty would be left behind before you step into your own grave) , Idia Shroud ( A loser keeping his pain inside ; just like Gregory Violet . He may be smart , but is still a trash if he's going to continue to be this weak) , Sebek Zigvolt ( Poor bastard , he doesn't even know that the master he worships doesn't even need him . One day he'll break down realizing the fact that he did him no good else than wasting his time by worthless praises of a fanboy )
His stay may be short , but he's taking the best advantage of it . Aside all these new creatures he met , some experiences are pure gold and will never be repeated in his long lasting life
Who knew that one day Sebastian would get to play card games with a cat and lose ? Well, this one's an experienced cat he can say . Grim even suggests them going to Staff's department and steal one of Crewel's expensive bottles of Vodka ( Ace had told that his cousin and his batch once did it and that was just- Ah . A newer level of being drunk had been approached ) Sebastian doesn't drink and doesn't get why a cat might want to drink either , but does it anyway . Grim happily goes on and takes a larg sip then , almost sets the whole dorm in fire just by one belch ( Alcohol + Fire = 💥) When MC understands that he was drunk , they want to kill Sebastian and Grim together . What if the fire exploded inside his body and made him explode !!!????? He would've been an exploded over-cooked cat . He gets sick afterwards and Sebastian goes to learn some vet tips , he nurses Grim although MC is still mad
Grim isn't his only new mutual , not while tweels are around . Sebastian is fascinated to see that they are interested in getting to know him just as he is ; these three seem to greatly get along . While poor Azul gets overly pale and quiet whenever Sebastian is around , tweels don't mind bringing him along almost anywhere . He learns them some beneficial tips and recipes for enormous drinks and desserts , they are truly amazed . They could've offered him to work in mostrolounge but it's clear that Sebastian has way higher classes than a normal school cafe , so it's better to let him lead them with his skills instead . Other than that , they really enjoy talking ; Floyd agrees that he looks pretty similar to a dragonfish , but still goes on calling him Sebastian .( He only calls Azul and Jade by their name else than that) . Floyd looks high-key similar to Grell when he laughs , but in contrast to him , Sebastian doesn't find this one annoying . They all look pretty similar and when others see them hanging around , rumors of Sebastian being a brother or relative of them starts getting spread . Honestly many even though that he was just Jade with dyed her and contact lenses when they saw him . Sebastian is really enjoying himself in this three person gang but sadly he doesn't have much time for it, there are other stuff he has to take care off...
The reason he doesn't go after Leona and Vil although they as well are known fir having problems with Ciel is obvious : They can do nothing . Once Leona and Sebastian get in a fight and Sebastian doesn't mind kicking his ass to the ground , children these days really do need to learn to behave . May seem funny , but to be honest , Sebastian has seen this amount of anger just once before and that would be with lady Elizabeth , she would've been a better leader than this guy though - Same goes for Vil , when he sees Rook getting s bit annoying as their stalker he writes a letter to the Pomefiore dorm , blaming him for being a thoughtless leader who wastes all his time and effort on his mortal beauty . No need to say how Vil reacts reading his letter or why he sets up a big fire to burn something afterwards...
Sebastian is almost done here now , he's seen enough and gained enough of enemies as well ; not that they are a bother but they are kinda annoying ... The only unsolved question is with the headmaster ; what is he hiding ? He made the same mistake with Undertaker and underestimated him ; he isn't going to make the same mistake twice . He knows that whatever he's hiding is related to MC , who comes from the same world as Ciel , just a different time . Sebastian could be the one saving them from this world but he knows that this won't be the right thing to do . MC's problems have nothing to do with him and also , leaving the whole school alone without their hero would be a mistake . No need to mention that Grim as well will need a friend when he wakes up and finds Sebastian gone...
This night is terrifying : Savanaclaw and Pomefiore dorms have taken serious action toward Ciel and Sebastian . Sebastian doesn't get to say goodbye to neither tweels nor MC and Grim , he just quickly picks Ciel up and runs toward the School building , no need to take this mess to where MC lives for now
Angry shouts and shooting magic balls all around , Sebastian chases them all just just as he always does . The terrified Ciel who is laying between his arms asks him what they're going to do . Sebastian gives him a comforting smile
" Just close your eyes , young master..."
♦♥♠♣
Ciel calls for Sebastian several times , heart still beating heavily . He screams his name and wakes up : at his bed . Wait...was it all a dream...?
He hears a knock at his door and then Sebastian comes in , asking if he's alright . Ciel tells him that he doesn't remember anything from last night after closing his eyes and how they ran off - Sebastian just gazes at him with a confused look . He apologizes for not knowing what Ciel is talking about , but says thst from what he knows , Ciel was really tired last night after spending all day listening to lady Elizabeth's thoughts on mixing fairytales with Alice in wonderland's classic . Now that makes sense... Sebastian offers him to go to a doctor if he's feeling any sick , but Ciel says that it's no need for that . It was all a dream but...a strange one for sure
A few minutes later , Ciel is having black forest cake and green tea , something he missed eating on his dream . When Ciel asks him if they're having tuna fish for lunch Sebastian smirks under lips . Then excuses himself and leaves . Poor Grim , he would've loved this food . While he is waiting for the fish to get boiled at the kitchen , he looks at the Vodka bottle with 1/4 of it empty , he wants to try drinking a bit someday . Little Ciel doesn't need to know whether it all was a dream or not , after all even with knowing it a human can do nothing but to think of it over and over ; which is useless . This experience would be a reality to him and a dream to Ciel but they have something in common : They'll never ever forget it

Damsel, Not in Distress
Jungkook x reader, Spiderman!Jungkook, GN!Reader: one shot
:: warnings: swearing, school
Pain is temporary, GPA is forever — @finah on Twitter
I’m a Damsel with Distress, but I'm pretty fine here.
Tumblr media
How you found yourself in the situation you’re currently in, you didn’t entirely know. Was it incredibly weird? Oh definitely. Actually, let’s go to the beginning of your day and see how you found yourself bound with rope and feeling your nihilistic attitude grow so much more.
Now it had been a relatively normal day, at first. You got out of bed a little later than what your alarm had been set to. You’d stayed up the night before to work on an assignment that wasn’t even due until the next week, but you wanted the weekend to be free so that you could relax. Still, you did leave in time to get to school without being late though, which you considered a win considering you really didn't want to be in the building.
When you got to your classes, the students were a little too loud for your sensitive ears and you wanted to just sleep the day away, but just went through the day best you could. The end of the day for you had come around pretty quick, nothing really happened, not that you’d expect anything to, but the events that would lead to you being tied up with rope started with lunch with your friends.
“(Y/n)! Over here!”
You’d been called over to a table where your usual rag tag group of misfits were, but there was an extra guy there. You recognized him as someone you'd talked to a couple times and he was pretty cute, you’d say you had a minor crush on him. His name was Jungkook, really smart guy, super sweet, kind of quiet unless he was with his friends, an all around Nice Guy, but actually a nice guy.
He didn’t look like he could hurt a fly. Oh how wrong you were.
To be honest, seeing him at your table surprised you, he was a mutual friend of yours, but it was weird seeing him in the lunch room. He was more the type to stay away from large groups of people and staying with his friends, only coming in occasionally if they were desperate for food, but you weren’t opposed to him joining the group.
“Oh hey Jungkook, hope I don’t sound like a jerk, but what’re you doin at lunch? You usually don’t come in here.”
It was a genuine question and you hoped you didn’t come off as rude, since you often didn't see him within the general vicinity of the cafeteria, to quote him from a conversation you once had asking about the same general topic: “people are gross and I would rather stub my left pinky toe than step foot in that nasty ass room.”
"Oh— Namjoon, Jin, and Yoongi had some studying to do for their exams since they have them next week, Hobi finished his classes for today and bailed, and Jimin and Tae are hanging with some of their friends in the gym. I didn't feel like tagging along this time, they were really sweaty."
He pushed his hair back as he was talking, what a cutie.
"Damn, well welcome to our little trouble group."
With that all of you ate your lunches with little pieces of banter here and there, nothing really significant to point out. Once lunch ended though, you and Jungkook headed out together since you'd started an interesting conversation about the city's Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man™.
"I don't know man, Spider-man needs a break, poor dude goes out like every day! He gets his ass beat—"
"Wow, rude—"
"He wins! I'm not saying he doesn't win! I'm just saying he gets hurt and probably doesn't have enough time to heal completely before going out the next day to deal with the next day's bullshit!"
Jungkook had to admit, this isn't how he thought the conversation would turn out. It started with you saying how you’d give your left lung to give him a hug and then it diverted into the current topic. The conversation ended once you had gotten to your apartment, and after saying goodbye Jungkook went back to his place. It was near, gotta stay close to the school to save gas money, and he thought a little about what you said. You were right, he didn't get breaks and was rarely healed up enough, even with his super regeneration. It was... nice to see some concern from someone other than Tony.
Deciding to not think too much about it, he put his stuff away and got suited up for his usual patrolling around the city. He also got ready to his favorite person, you. At some point on one of his patrols he wasn’t really paying attention to his surroundings, he was thinking about what he should have for dinner, ramen or do his homework until 2 am, truly an important question to ask himself. Anyway, he had been swinging by the apartments that were nearest the campus and saw your window open with you belting out the lyrics to Chop Suey!
This caused him to stumble and he flew directly into the space right by your open window. This scared you and embarrassed him, he truly never wanted to perish more than in that moment. You, being the nice person you are, asked if he was okay and after hearing confirmation invited him in to your room to have a drink. Was it dangerous of you to do so? Yeah, but at that moment you weren’t exactly thinking too clearly, Spider-man just smacked face first into the bricks of the wall after all.
From that day on, he had visited your apartment and a little friendship had begun to form. Back to the present day, Jungkook just made it to your apartment window when something didn’t seem right. For one, your window was wide open. Now it wouldn’t seem to weird to anyone else, but you only kept yours halfway open and with the big screen over it, this time there was no big screen and it was open all the way. The second thing to tip off that something wasn’t right was that there was no sign of you in your room, but it was like a tornado went through it.
The papers that would usually be on your desk were all over your floor, your water bottle had spilled everywhere, and your backpack looked like it had been thrown across your room with the contents all over the place. You weren’t here, but you had been briefly before you disappeared.
Now he was panicking, as both Spider-man and Jungkook, you were significant to both his hero life and his personal life. Frantically he began turning over stuff in your room trying to find anything that could point to where you could have gone. He then found an envelope, no address, it didn't say your name on it and it wasn't opened. There was something about the envelope that just didn't seem right, so he opened it.
It was written for him, and he took off to the address within it.
You were kidnapped. Because of Spider-man, no, because Jungkook had been around you too often as Spider-man and now you could be in danger or worse, dead.
He'd never swung through the city so fast. At this point he wasn't being careful he was just frantically swinging as fast as he could to the address of a warehouse that was used to house cranes and bulldozers. He arrived and swung into an open window, it led to the top floor where workers could go to fix the roof.
As he landed there he finally let some rational thinking take hold of him and surveyed the area, where were you?
"Karen, could you do a check for heat signatures?"
"Of course, Jungkook."
The eyes in Jungkook's mask had changed the vision from the usual clear view to a heat radar, with it he could see every person and got a scan for them. You weren't there, he looked harder and eventually found a body, tied to the top of a crane, placed over a makeshift kennel, with the roof open, of rabid animals fighting each other. Well this certainly can't be good.
"Karen, that's not a good sign right? Rabid animals attack whatever moves in front of them?"
"That would be a yes, Jungkook."
Immediately he springs into action, webbing together everyone he saw to different areas and wrapping them up in webs. He narrowly missed the shots of guns that were pointed towards him, and stayed high up in the building to make it harder for them to aim at him.
He lands on the crane that you're on, the crane swinging slightly and makes a move to grab you, but the sound of something powering up stops him. There, on the ground with a smirk aimed at Jungkook is a man with a scar that takes up most of his face and a large weapon shaped like a bazooka and with other weapons pointed towards you both.
"Well, if it isn't Spider-man, here to save the damsel in distress?"
You, who had been blindfolded turned your head in the direction of the voice, "I'm not a damsel in distress so shut your trap, you soggy testicle looking ass bitch!"
Jungkook whips his head at you, Karen offhandedly commenting on him getting whiplash, and takes off your blindfold.
"Name calling? At a time like this?"
Blinking at the sudden flooding of light into your oh so sensitive eyes, you see your friend, absolute madd ladd of a companion Spider-man.
"Spider-buddy! Nice to see ya!"
Jungkook could have fallen off the crane had his feet not been stuck on it.
"I– you're tied up right now? How are you so calm?"
Shrugging best you could, you make a face, "can't really do much considering I'm pretty tied up at the moment, pun intended."
Now he had been expecting you to be panicked, terrified, maybe crying? This, though, was definitely nothing like he had anticipated. You always continue to surprise him.
You wiggle a little and wince as your side stung a little. When you were taken from your apartment they hit you in the side and knocked you out. Felt a bit like overkill to you, but you did say some obscene things and threatened their genitals so you found it fair. Jungkook just stares at you, making you just a bit uncomfortable, but he spaces out pretty often so you didn't think too much about it. Ignoring the very possible death that is only about a hundred feet away and the pain in your side and head, you try to start a conversation.
"Sooooo how's it goin?"
Both Jungkook and the dude who kidnapped you look at you incredulously and yell:
"Really?!"
Startled, your body jolts and the ropes binding you slip a little and your body falls just a bit.
"Oh that's probably not good—"
"Are you really asking that now? You– you're tied… to a crane… above rabid animals? Along with multiple weapons pointed at you? You're not even the tiniest bit worried?"
In your mind you’re thinking, ‘why hasn’t he gotten me down yet?’ To be fair to Spider-man, you are placed pretty precariously over rabid animals and have multiple weapons pointed towards you both. Anyway, the words that leave your actual mouth:
"Gotta be honest, my GPA and financial status instill more fear in me than the dude that looks like literal bacon over there."
Your voice got louder towards the last bit of your sentence and both of the men look at you. Jungkook at this point was on the verge of having a heart attack. The other man in the room with you (the only one that isn't tied up) was feeling pretty offended and debating just putting you out of your misery.
You continued speaking.
"I mean, is this ideal? No, but it's something different and I can't exactly free myself, y'know no powers or anything like that, so I guess I'm just here. Oh and uh Spider-buddy? My ropes are kind of slipping by the way, so if you could pretty please with a big fat cherry on top pick your dick up and help a friend out that'd be great."
Jungkook, finally snapping out of his stupor, just noticed that your ropes were in fact slipping and grabbed your torso, untying you and swinging you both away as the villain below began shooting, narrowly missing each fire.
"'Pick your dick up,' really?"
You put your face into his neck, telling him to shut up.
Before Jungkook left with you he told Karen to call the police and to arrest the people in the warehouse. He places your body on the top floor, where he came in through a window, and went back down to the villain to web him up. This time, he was not as good at avoiding the weapons firing at him while he goes around him firing his spider webs. By this time the people who had been webbed up were freed by their comrades with knives. He gets hit in the side by a bullet and falters in the air while he grips his left side, well this isn’t good.
"So I didn't get to ask this before, but why did you take this school suffering student?"
The villain just looks at Jungkook's mask, where the eyes are.
"Well to hurt you of course, being close to others only makes it easier for people like me to hurt you. Be grateful I didn't do anything too bad. I may be a villain, but I’m not a monster."
Jungkook stills, did you end up getting hurt? He didn’t recall Karen mentioning anything about you being injured. Then again he was too worried about you to think clearly. His thoughts slowly began taking over his mind and during this the man in front of him pulled a knife and slashed it at his face. That action startles Jungkook, the knife cutting through his suit and marking his face.
He knocked the man out and went back to you as he stumbled, hearing the police with his super hearing and swings away with you held close to him. Finally your both back at your apartment, and go into your room where you see how much of a mess it is.
"Ugh this is gonna be a pain to clean up, sorry about the mess."
Jungkook, kind of upset with how nonchalant you've been, rips off his mask so fast your mind begins reeling and just starts to shout at you.
"What the fuck are you talking about?! You got kidnapped, because of me! I could care less about how your room looks like right now, how are you so calm? You could have been hurt or been killed and your saying sorry for your room? I could have lost you today, (y/n)! What if I hadn’t visited you today and because of that you died? This is serious!”
He finishes his shouting, panting heavily while you just stare at him. It’s Jungkook. Jungkook is Spider-man and has been visiting you for months. Once it finally dawns on you that his mask is now off and his face is showing, you run to your window closing and shutting the blinds. As well as locking your bedroom door after quickly checking to see if your roommate is home.
Thankfully they aren't, most likely spending the night at their girlfriend's place. Bless them and their relationship.
"Okay, you can be mad at me for being all nonchalant, but you've been hiding this! You're Spider-man, you're constantly in danger and you're getting mad at me?! Jeon Jungkook you could have died on any of the patrols you do and I wouldn’t know what happened to you, none of us would know!"
Jungkook, realizing he took off his mask in a short fit of anger, steps back a little. Both of you are breathing slightly heavy, taking a pause to think over all the events that had just happened in a short time. The one to make the first move is Jungkook who just grabs you and hugs you tightly to his chest.
Not expecting it, you awkwardly place one arm around his shoulders and the other around his waist. Closing your eyes and just rubbing his shoulders blades to help calm him down, he was shaking ever so slightly in your grasp.
“Jungkook, not to ruin the mood, but did you get hurt? I know that sounds dumb because you have a cut on your face, but I’m just asking to be sure you’re not hurt anywhere else.”
His shoulders tense under your hand.
“And don’t lie to me, I can feel the wound on your left side and it’s kind of grossing me out right now.”
He let's go of you and sits down on your desk chair, his head was down and he looked a little dazed. You left your room briefly to get a towel, a bowl of water, your first aid kit and a glass of water for Jungkook.
"Here, I'd say drinking some water is good right now."
He leans his body back in the chair, wincing at the ache in his side, and looks at you.
"What about you? How are you feeling?"
You were getting the hydrogen peroxide and a gauze pad from your kit when you stopped. Your head had a dull ache, but you didn't think much of it. You were coherent, able to form sentences and move freely, so technically you were fine. The chances of you having a concussion though? More likely than you think, but you’ll get it checked out when your done with Jungkook. The ache in your side though, that needed some ice.
"For the most part… good? I got hit in the head so I'll need to get that checked out later, and I have ice so I can slap that on my side."
He lets out a loud sigh, bordering on groaning.
“Please take care of yourself, I’d rather not hear that you died from getting a concussion.”
You let air out through your nose in a silent laugh, which was so inappropriate it's not funny you're just uncomfortable. Spraying some of the hydrogen peroxide on Jungkook’s face causes him to wince as the solution fizzes, you walk around your room tidying up a little bit against your own better judgement. You should probably be laying down or calling an ambulance, but with Wonder Boy here you feel guilty just leaving him.
Also if your friend decided to come home early and just walk right into your room it’d be damn near impossible to explain why he was there in the first place.
“Turn your head to me,” you wipe the solution from his face with the gauze, “you’re lucky that the cut isn’t too deep, it doesn’t look like you’ll need stitches.”
He lets out a puff of air causing you to scrunch your face.
“That is some musty ass breath, Kook.”
He laughs, which makes him wince as he grabs at his side. Immediately, you move his hand to look at his side.
“Alrighty so I’m gonna need you to turn yourself so I can look at both sides, if the bullet is still there it shouldn’t bother you, but if not then that’s where the problem is.”
It seemed luck had finally been on both of your sides, there was no exit wound and he wasn’t coughing up any coffee grounds looking substance so there was no internal bleeding. All pretty good, just gonna need to clean the wound which would be a bitch and a half, but better than getting an infection.
Telling Jungkook this was not fun, going through with it was worse. He immediately went to bed in your clean, nicely made— just kidding your bed was a mess. You made him take off his suit and gave him some sweatpants that were big on you, and a giant shirt that you had. You really liked oversized clothes, so what?
With the shower he took, the bandages on his side and face, and the medicine you gave him for pain the minute his head touched your pillow he fell asleep. In the meantime, you picked up the things in your room that didn’t make much noise.
Eventually you went to bed on the couch in the living room, a little uncomfortable but you refused to sleep in the same bed with Jungkook. He had other plans though, he had sensitive ears and could hear you tossing and turning in your sleep. He left your room and went to the couch where he picked you up and brought you to your bed and laid there with you.
Arm draped around your form, you both slept soundly after such a stressful day. Truthfully, you were the “Damsel in Distress,” but if your hero was Spider-Man, and Jeon Jungkook, you didn’t mind.

ALL YOU HAVE IS YOUR FIRE & THE PLACE YOU NEED TO REACH
november 18th. somewhere in upstate louisiana. trigger warning: implied murder, violence, gun violence, kidnapping.
This has been a long time coming, really. It was only a matter of time before too many things piled up and someone snapped and made a move like this. Andy’s just grateful it’s him and his brothers – Not Kane knocking down his front door with a shotgun. God knows he’s tried before. It’s been nearly three years since this all began, since Cronus was buried and Kane started this rebellion and tore the town in two.
He still remembers the day Kane showed up at the prison, Andy confused to see him in the visitor's room. They weren’t close by any means, but they had been friends -- They had a mutual connection with the MC, tying them together. The club made you family, but it didn’t necessarily make you friends -- Kane was an acquaintance, but part of his life regardless. He’d shown up as a courtsy, though it landed as more of a Fuck you, goodbye. With the grimy phone against his ear and the dirty glass separating the two, Kane came to deliver a new world order to him: The Trojans. The conversation was clipped, right to the point. Cronus death had bred a certain candor between them all, no longer feeling the need to bite their tongue on what happened within the club. If there was anything his father’s death brought, it was honesty -- It would be what pushed the club in a different direction, whatever that may be, and it would be one led no longer by fear, but who the club voted in. Andy knew his brothers had been voted in, his vote had been accounted for despite his absence. Part of him wasn’t surprised to find that the vote had caused an uproar -- One that people weren’t afraid to voice.
Of course, Kane would be the one to lead them, that much didn’t phase Andy. He could respect that the man had come to him to deliver the news in person -- A plain and simple statement left with him: You’re either with me or against me now. The latter came with ease, from both family loyalty and a desire to build a new word from the one his father left behind. From that moment on they’d become sworn enemies on principal alone -- Before Kane had given him an actual reason to want him dead.
He’s driving the van, given that it was only last week that he’d been arrested as a murder suspect. It didn’t help that his leg throbbed as he his brothers set things up in the back. This was necessary, he reminded himself -- This is what had to be done if they wanted this war over with. It didn’t matter what warehouses were blown to pieces or who dropped dead from laced cocaine -- If you don’t cut off the head of the snake, it’s not going to make a difference. It’s hard not to think about everything Kane has done -- The thought of Rowan threatening to bleed out on the floor at the clubhouse comes to mind first, making him white knuckle the steering wheel as he waits. What happened to Eli, of what could happen after this. The sinking feeling that found him in the waiting room of the hospital during his wife’s surgery comes flooding back, making him want to hit the gas and strangle the life out of the man in question. Andy’s sure Kane’s responsible for Rowan’s attack, Reina’s break in, too -- It wouldn’t be out of his realm. Making a tally of the things that had happened in the last eight months leaves his jaw clenched, gripping the steering wheel as the van is loaded up. This ends tonight, he tells himself. Their problems won’t be solved -- But it’ll be enough to put the Trojans to rest.
It’s somewhere after two in the morning when they leave -- Andy had been keeping an eye on Kane and his movements the last few weeks (Having a Prospect handle the graveyard shifts for him, too), the man seemingly holed up in the Dive until the late hours of the night. Tonight seemed to be no different, as he turned a corner the man in question came in sight -- Andy approached slowly, watching carefully as Kane seemed to lock the front door so he could leave for the night. Right on time. His foot hits the gas, buzzing down the road fast enough to catch the man off guard, before coming to a screeching halt in front of him. Andy doesn’t see the actual grab -- With his semi-healed leg, he let Jeremiah and Jackson take the front seat, so to speak, for this part of the job. The last thing they needed was for Kane to get him in his bad leg and have Andy drop to the ground.
He knows how it goes, and when they’re in the car with an unconscious Kane Seifer -- A clear picture is painting. The element of surprise had been on their side, with a chloroform soaked towel serving as an aid. Near seconds after he counts three bodies in the car, he’s slamming the gas again so they can be out of there before someone sees them. God knows Andy doesn’t need another witness pulling their lives apart again, even with his hood up and face covered by a bandana. He ignores the way his leg throbs as he drives, letting himself get caught up in everything that’s happened -- The blood that’s been shed, the violence they’ve all seen. It’s adrenaline, helping him block-out second thoughts and any hesitation threatening to find him. Andy’s not foolish enough to think any of them are innocent in this -- They’re all bad people, really. It just depends on the perspective. This is simply a means to an end, finishing a fight he hadn’t started.
They manage to make it out of town without being noticed. A black van going down a poorly lit back road doesn’t usually turn many heads, especially not in the middle of the night. People know better than to question seeing something like that -- The MC has been part of Olympus for the last forty years, the unspoken rule about keeping what you see to yourself has been known for decades. It takes roughly an hour to get where they’re going, even with Andy speeding -- It’s an abandoned house in the middle of the woods, one that he’s pretty sure used to be owned by an original club member back in the 80s. Now, it’s something between a dumping ground and a slaughter house, left standing for this very purpose. The lack of neighbors and trees surrounding it make it easier to get things done, and the padlock on the basement door has held up just as well.
He comes to a halt in the dirt driveway, head beams shining against the empty house. Andy can’t help but spare a glance back at Kane, passed out in the back seat. There’s a paranoid piece of Andy that wonders if the man will spring into action any second now, before he reminds himself the man is out-numbered and out-gunned by the three of them. What follows is a certain excitement, a smirk finding his features as he reaches for his pack of cigarettes. He tucks one behind his ear, before pulling the keys from the ignition. Within moments he’s at the door of the van, sliding it open with a grin on his face. “Showtime.” He’s almost giddy at what’s to come, knowing the revenge they’re about to get will be just as sweet as he hoped.

About Tsukiyama and Kaneki
Lately I have been reading speculations and concerns about the relationship between Tsukiyama and Kaneki, with people saying Tsukiyama regressing negative feelings for Kaneki due to the Rosewald extermination and Kanae, and he might possibly stab Kaneki in the back later on during an outburst of emotions. While I see where that’s coming from, I personally don’t agree because that’s undermining Tsukiyama’s character development and improvement in his relationship with Kaneki.
Tsukiyama and Kaneki started on a very bad note in TG, Tsukiyama being obsessed and wanting to eat Kaneki, throwing him to the restaurant, kidnapping Kimi to threaten him, and Kaneki was very wary of him for the entire manga, until the end where Tsukiyama cried and begged him not to go to fight, that was when Kaneki realized Tsukiyama genuinely cared about him, and Tsukiyama also knew he no longer considered Kaneki just an exotic ingredient for the Gourmet anymore.
Moving on to the beginning of :re, Tsukiyama starved himself due to Kaneki’s supposed death, which led to the servants and Kanae killing people and joining auction to find food for Tsukiyama, resulting in the family being under CCG’s radar. Liking it or not, Tsukiyama was the direct cause for his family’s destruction and he had noone to blame for it, not even Kaneki. Kaneki, or Sasaki Haise at the time had no memories, he did not even know Tsukiyama belonged to the family until they met on a rooftop, he joined in the Rose extermination mission due to orders from the CCG, and had no reason to spare Tsukiyama. Tsukiyama’s development was shown when he acknowledged Touka’s words about Kaneki not regaining his memories for the better, when he went ahead to strike at Kaneki in order to live instead of surrendering because he knew he could no longer act selfishly, and he had to live to honor the servants and his father’ effort to protect him in place of chasing after a person from the past. Haise also acknowledged his unwillingness to kill Tsukiyama when the Kaneki inside his head repeatedly told him not to kill.

And then Karren came into the picture. Most people said she is a wedge between Kaneki and Tsukiyama, but I think Tsukiyama understood Kaneki’s actions. Karren cut off his hand, repeatedly injured him and much or less caused him to awaken, it was understandable that Kaneki would attack Karren first because he had no association with her, and his cold personality at the time would not care whether she died or not either. When Eto was subdued, Kaneki made a show of throwing Tsukiyama off the building in front of Ui to prove that he would die, yet he waited for Karren to react to ensure she would save Tsukiyama, because he already guessed she was loyal to Tsukiyama to the point of protecting him at all costs.
Tumblr media
I was very salty with Kaneki for pulling that move, but looking back and reading it again, I understood why he did it. Aside from that, Kaneki was very suicidal at that time, he himself would not believe he would ever have the chance to explain or talk to Tsukiyama again about this anyway, which led him to that ruthless course of action.
Tumblr media
When saved by Touka, Yomo, Hori and his father, Tsukiyama definitely had doubts about Kaneki, but Hori pointed out to him by saying Kaneki could have killed him if he wanted to. During the time Kaneki was the Black Reaper up until their reunion in chapter 99, Tsukiyama had a lot of time to think back about what had happened, and I believed he understood his responsibilities with what had happened to his family, and Kaneki was not to blame, which was why he said this. Tsukiyama was not forcing himself to let go of the past for the sake of clinging to Kaneki, he really meant it. There was no reason for him to gain Kaneki’s trust with ulterior motives in part 1, this was him actually looking forward to reconnecting with Kaneki and starting a new and mutual friendship with him.
Tumblr media
In this panel, Kaneki showed to feel bad for what he had done with Tsukiyama, and was prepared to be resented by him, so to see Tsukiyama welcome him in peace was certainly assuring to him. Tsukiyama is no longer the dramatic, obssessive Gourmet who went cray cray for Kaneki, he properly recognizes him as the OEK, a friend whom he cares about very much and someone he truly wants to be the right-hand man of, not the role he put on in part 1 to get close to him. Kaneki had also trusted him and let him partake in Goat’s strategy meetings, be Goat’s leader while he was away, be his wallet (lol). All in all, they had rebuilt a strong friendship of trust and respect through everything that happened between them. Rembember, if Kaneki killed Karren and threw Tsukiyama off a building, then Tsukiyama also did lots of harm for him in part 1, they wronged each other many times, this is not a one-sided train. In addition, Tsukiyama is no blind follower of Kaneki either, he tells Kaneki directly about what he feels is unfair and putting them at an disadvantage, when he expressed concern about Kaneki choosing not to kill people despite the ghouls starving. If it had been Tsukiyama from part 1, he definitely would have never questioned his motive because he honestly did not care about anything aside from seeing Kaneki as some sort of entertainment.
Tumblr media
He even exposed Kaneki’s selfish motive by asking when he started caring about the future of ghouls.
Tumblr media
There are reasons for Tsukiyama to not be dramatic and turn the tables on Kaneki. Ghouls are being endangered by Furuta, and he knows Kaneki is really the only hope of the ghouls to ever be able to live and coexist with humans again, and he sees Kaneki working so hard for that future to the point of fatigue and exhaustion. He is a ghoul himself, and he has to work with him to achieve that common goal so he can live on. According to what he said before, his body is no longer his own, and if the servants had died to ensure he lived, then he has to live. Betraying Kaneki right now would bring nothing but disaster and destroy his own possibility of survial, especially at a time when ghouls need to unite more than ever. I’m not worried about any sudden betrayal from Tsukiyama because as mentioned before, he had matured and understoood enough not to hold Kaneki responsible for the past. If he had really still resented Kaneki, he would not have chosen to join Goat from the beginning, even Kaneki did not expect him Tsukiyama to forgive him either. If had no obligation to join and he still chose to, he would definitely not let his personal feelings get in the way, the Tsukiyama I knew is better than that.
They both had come a long way, and their relationship had changed for the better throughout 260-ish chapters. Their development had been done with the Rose arc and reached the peak at the current events, in fact my prediction is from now on there will not be any crazy drama between Kaneki and Tsukiyama, it seems pointless and regressive for me.

Go get that Medic! - And don't let him die
Chapter 2: Equal Status
Ill-tempered Spy walks out of the Respawn. He fetched a cigarette from his cigarette case, lit it, and went to the dining room, where he was killed. He just cannot explain what happened and how. He finds the Mercs sitting at the table. They look depressed. Spy hasn't a good feeling. “What ‘appened?” “Ach, there you are” Scout gripes. “Our Doc is gone.” “What gone?” “The BLUs get him.” “’ave you tried to stop them?” “Yeah, but they left with the van.” “And whereto?” “Don’t know.” “That can’t be true…” Spy is holding his head. “Hey! Who of us was killed? A Spy that be killed by another Spy. How embarrassing is that?” “And you? You were not killed. You knew the BLUs were planning something, but they were able to take Medic away! ‘ow is this possible?” “Let's stop with the mutual recrimination and concentrate on freeing Medic” Engineer suggests with a conciliatory voice. “You’re right.” Spy sits down at the table. “What are they planning with him? That doesn't make any sense...” “I think the BLUs have thousand good reasons to kidnap Medic. They see in him the main reason why they are always losing. I could imagine that at least.” “Yes, our Medic is a real professional. Not like the BLU Medic. Such an idiot. Like the rest of the team. He's almost always the first one to be killed. Hahaha!” “And not even purposely.” “Hahaha!” Spy clears his throat. “Do you forgot that our good Docteur is gone?” “What do they want to do with him? Kill him?” Again, laughter echoes through the room. Only Heavy, Engineer and Spy remain serious. “From now on I will only talk to you both...” Spy takes a big drag from his cigarette.
Team Fortress 2
It's like an eternity, when the van finally stops. However, so violently that the chair, the BLU Medic is sitting on, tumbles along with him and the doctor falls to the ground. Also the rest tilts to the side, except Heavy and RED Medic. Heavy is much too massive, and since he still holds Medic, he's also spared by the effect. “Everything out!" Sniper calls out of the cab. “The hell, Sniper?!” A chuckle is heard behind the wall.
Medic and Soldier are the first to get out of the van, then follow RED Medic and Heavy and the rest. The place is brightly lit by the lanterns that were set up there. Medic immediately recognized it. “Sawmill? Is this your secret base? Of all places?” BLU Medic rolls his eyes annoyed and walks straight along the road. Yes, why did they choose this place as their secret base? In Sawmill, they had suffered their worst defeat so far (even though they always have a defeat against the REDs, there was in fact a defeat that was listed as the worst. Hard to believe.) BLU Medic was thrown 5 times into the sawmill saw, where he was painfully dissected. Well, he was rather blown there, by Pyros Airblast. He was the first to dominate him after the fight was not going on for half an hour. And almost at the same time the whole BLU team was extinguished. 3 times! Oh what excruciating memories. So why did they choose this place as their secret base? BLU Medic doesn't let show anything in front of the RED Medic, but he can feel his devilish grin in his back.
RED Medic laughs in his sleeve. These Dummkops. In Sawmill there are plenty of places where he can kill himself. And one of these places is the checkpoint. This is surrounded by two big buzzsaws, which turn tirelessly and move to the right, times to the left. Woe to anyone who comes too close to them. And that is exactly where they are coming by. The circular saws are active. Medics pulse is increasing. He will probably be back in the RED Base before bedtime. He directs his gaze forward and then inconspicuously backwards. Heavy is close behind him, but he doesn’t hold him anymore. His hands are tied behind his back, but he should still be faster than he. Scout is much faster than RED Medic, but he should be able to shake him off easily. He is superior to him physically. The surprise effect is on his side. None of the BLUs will guess what he's up to now. These idiots don't even take note of the circular saws. Probably they have their secret base here for a long time that they no longer perceive them. 1…2…3! RED Medic is sprinting. He hears BLU Medic calling. “What the…?! WAHH! Catch him!” Medic takes a look behind himself. In fact Scout is very close to him. On his face a confidently almost amused smile. The boy thinks the old man is not a challenge. Oh wait, little boy. With all the strength that RED Medic can muster, he jumps into the air and turns around his own axis. He stretches his right leg and with a targeted kick against Scout's head, the runner is hurled to the side. One of them is hors de combat, but this action had Medic slowed down considerably. BLU Heavy is already very close behind him. He stretches out his arms already after him. It's now or never. Medic jumps the last two meters. The circular saw approaches his position. If everything goes well, he will fall directly into the steel teeth, which will drill into his flesh, shred his intestines, and then send him back to his base. That sounds wonderful! And if everything goes smoothly, he will die fast.
The fall feels like an eternity for RED Medic. Suddenly large, strong hands grab him, catch him in the middle of the air. It's Heavy, who had caught him. He lifts Medic over his head to prevent him from killing himself. However, the Russian loses his balance and falls forward. With the last force he throws Medic back. He moans in pain as he falls hard on the floor, and only a short time after, sprinkle spots of blood. The BLUs look horrified as their Heavy is sawn into two parts. RED Medic is disappointed. Scheiße. That should actually be me… Steps approach him from behind and shortly thereafter he is packed and put back on his feet. Demoman wields a strong arm around his neck and turns it around. BLU Medic comes up to him. Anger tugs his face. “You bring more trouble upon us than you're even worth!” “Oh? I seem to be very valuable. After all, you are ready to die for me. Hehehe.” RED Medic makes a head movement toward Heavy. “That’s enough! Los, weiter! I warn you. Another such an action and-“ “And what? Will you kill me then?” “………”
The BLUs and their prisoner enter the base. They had changed their position. Spy, Medic and Engineer go behind RED Medic, the rest before him. Soldier carries the unconscious Scout over his shoulder. RED Medic is still looking for a way to kill himself. No one is in sight. Well, actually there is a way. He might hit his head against the wall until a deadly blood clot forms, but the BLUs wouldn't allow it. Hold the breath? Not really. BLU Heavy approaches them. Fresh from the Respawn. He looks angry. “Leetle Doktor is to blame that Heavy was killed!” “You weren't supposed to stop me, you know?” RED Medic answers monotonously. Heavy pants with rage. “Shut your mouth!” urges BLU Medic. The doctor comes up with another idea of how he could depart this life. Provocation. But he is not sure how to work it. Heavy is very angry, but by mere words, he cannot make him to kill him. He is rather a gentle giant, who can't be provoked by anything. No matter how angry he may be. Unless…
They come through a room in which various weapons are lying. All extremely deadly (though only if they lie in the right hands), but only one has RED MEDICS attention. Sasha. Heavy's absolute weakness and the absolutely deadly certainty to provoke him. When they pass by the Minigun, RED Medic boots the gun which is leaning on the wall. It bursts out loud and as expected, everyone turns around. When Heavy sees his gun lying on the ground, he fixes RED Medic with angry eyes. Not just that. They look hateful. He picks Sasha up. “Stay calm, son” Engineer tries to appease him. “Heavy must clean Sasha” says the Russian with a growling voice, turning RED Medic's back on. Only a little bit and Medic is back with his team. “HEY!” Heavy stops and turns half back to the prisoner. He grins at him maliciously. “You should keep an eye on your weapon. She is so ugly that I really get pleasure to kick her. But don't worry, she's so big and sturdy, I can go a bit harder, right? She will bear it.” Heavy's canthus twitch. Spy press RED Medic a hand on his mouth. “Be quiet already!” But too late. Heavy whirls around, holding the minigun firmly in both hands. The barrel starts to rotate, the weapon howls. Quick-thinking, Spy grabs RED Medic and throws himself with him aside. To the bad luck of the BLU Medic. The countless bullets bored into his body. By this force he is thrown backwards, slips a few meters over the ground and stays lie motionless. Heavy immediately stops the hail of bullets. The entire team is mouth open. Only RED Medic is annoyed. Failure. Again. “Dude… We can kill each other with our own weapons?” Scout has become awake, but is immediately unconscious again. “It’s enough now!” Soldier drops Scout to the ground, grabs RED Medic and throws him over the shoulder. “Now you are MY prisoner! As long as you are on my shoulder, you will obey, Maggot!” “This is your own fault. Why are you marching with me through a room full of weapons?” The BLU team is silent. Medic is not surprised. Dummkops…
Team Fortress 2
“They are not here too…” “Don't lose courage! That was just the second map. There are others.” “How many maps are actually there?” Soldier counts on his fingers. “103” he answers. “103? Are ya sure? Ya must have miscalculated. Recount.” “Why should we look for the Doc at all? I mean, what do they want to do with him? They cannot hold him forever.” “We find Doctor and bring him back!” Heavy growls. “And where should we look next? We have now searched in Harvest and Dustbowl. If we continue to haphazard search any maps, we will not be ready until tomorrow.” “Let's go to Ghost Fort” Soldier suggests. “I don't know if it's clear to you, knucklehead, but this is a Halloween map. These cowards will surely not hide there.” “You just say that because you're scared, Scout.” “T-that’s not true! I am afraid of nothing and no one!” “Very good. Because we will ask Merasmus for help.” “W-what?!” “Are you kidding?” “I think this might be interesting.” “What do you mean, Frenchie?” “Well, this will be the first and probably the last chance that we will see that you are asking Merasmus for ‘elp.” “It was my idea to go to him, but I never said I'll ask him for help, Maggot!” “You two should finally put aside your differences.” “NO! Not as long as he constantly threatens me with doom and damnation!” “This is probably your own fault. After all, you destroyed 'is 'ouse back then. Oh, and you broke 'is wand too.” “It was not on purpose! Except that with the wand... How do you know that at all? Damned Spy!” “See it as an opportunity to apologize. Maybe Merasmus will finally stop then ‘aunting our team now and then.” “And maybe I'll get my eye back.” “I wouldn't hope, mate. Your eye looks quite happy, so free and untied…” Demoman sighs and takes a strong sip from his bottle. They were back on their way to Snipers Van, but they were halfway stranded because they had to discuss. Heavy growls. “Enough!” He grabs Soldier and Demoman, throws them over his shoulders and clamps the rest under his arms. Then he carries his team to Snipers Van, throws them all in the rear, then sits behind the steering wheel and hits the road. Heavy is furious. Why do they all just stand around and talk when their doctor has been abducted by the BLU team? Aren't they worried? Medic would worried too.
“Medic! Meeediiic! Doktooor!” “Was ist los, Heavy?” “Whole RED Team was kidnapped by BLU Team!” “Oh? Ach, their will be fine. Please do me a favor and lie down on the table. I have to try a new experiment on you.”
………” Heavy sighs. He stops right at Ghost Fort. He hopes that Merasmus will help them find Medic. And if not, then this revered magician should dress warmly. A No Heavy will not accept.
After Heavy had overrun 5 maps, he finally reached Ghost Fort. During the ride he had stepped neatly into the accelerator pedal. The noise from the back of the vehicle was not to ignore. The REDs burst out of the van. “What the hell is wrong with you, Fatty? Did you want to kill us?” The team looks at Scout for a moment silently. “I'll tell you one thing, mate, if my Van got a scratch, you'll never get near it anymore!” Sniper stands chest to chest with Heavy. But the Russian remains unimpressed. “Let us look for wizard.” “Hmh… Where could Merasmus hide? Shall we call for him?” “I don't think we 'ave to go to such an effort. Soldier's presence would probably be enough to lure Merasmus out of 'is 'iding place.” “…? Where is Soldier?” They find him in the van. He sits on the bench, his arms folded in front of his chest, his lower lip pushed forward, his eyes stares at the wall torwards him (since his eyes lies under his helmet, the Mercs can only guess he's staring). “Solly, what’s wrong?” “Haha! He’s probably afraid.” Demoman pushes Scout back. “If you cannot be serious, stay here and keep your mouth shut.” “Pah!” The boy turns away from his team and looks around. He has no fear. The place is gloomy, wrapped in green mist. He has no fear… From the distance he can see the skull island. From the huge skull lights green light. Also the clouds above the map are greenish-colored. …he has no fear! A dark howling and moaning attracts the attention of the frightened Scout. A lilac ghost hovering over the checkpoint. And he looks directly in his direction. “Nnghh! H-hey, guys…” Scout tugs at Sniper's clothes. But he shakes him off. “Leave me alone, Kid.” The ghost hover over to him. “AHH! Running!”
“Get out, Soldier.” “Negatory!” “Why are you bitchy right now?” A growl. “See it as an opportunity to be reconcile with Merasmus.” “Oh nooo!” “You get out right now!” “No!” “Now!” “Negative, Maggot!” Heavy has enough. He jumps into the van, who begins to wiggle heavily, gets Soldier and pulls him out. “Let me go, numb nut!” Suddenly, eerie music and a malicious laugh echo through the place. “Fools! You dare to penetrate my territory? Well then. Welcome! To your doom! Oh hello, Soldier.” Soldier folds his arms and turns away from the magician. “Yeah, yeah…” “Merasmus, we need your ‘elp.” “Oh? So the mercenaries want my help? How did I come to this honor? And if I refuse? I have absolutely no reason to help you, but enough reasons to send you to your doom! Muhahaha!” Heavy takes a step forward, takes Merasmus by the collar and pulls him down. “Wizard will help find Medic! If not, Heavy will crush you!” “You ‘ave no problem with us at all, Merasmus. You're just mad at Soldier.” “Maggot?” “You are his friends! That's why I hate you too.” “Oh? So you think that we have easier with him?” Spy approched to Merasmus, who is struggle against Heavy's grip. “We both know ‘ow hard it is to live with Soldier in one location. We share this fate.” “What are you trying to say, traitor?” Demo abstains Soldier with trouble. Spy doesn't be deterred. “Soldier will apologize to you now.” “WHAT?! Over my dead body!” While Heavy Merasmus arrests with one hand, he reaches for Soldier with his other hand and presses both together. Their noses touch. “Apologize!” “Never!” “NOW!” Soldier is growling again. It remains silent between Merasmus and Soldier. The Mercs also say nothing, wait for the Soldier to finally bear down. Scouts cries for help can be heard in the background, but no one is attach value. “…sorry…” “Louder!” Heavy solidifies his grip around Soldier's neck. “Sorry! I’m sorry! I’m very sorry! I'm sorry that I destroyed your house at that time and I'm sorry that you have to carve an existence as a ghost! OKAY?” Merasmus is silent for a moment. Then he asks with a slightly trembling voice: “Do you really mean it?” Soldier laughs childishly. “Of course not! Nincompoop!” Enraged by Soldier's words, Merasmus finds the strength to break away from Heavy's grip. His body is surrounded by a green mist that turns into fire. He looks down at Soldier with an angry look. “Feel the terror… of a raccoon!” A flash lightning strikes Soldier's position. The Mercs are blinded for a moment. The next, Soldier is disappeared. “Hey! Where is he now?” “Down here, maggots!” And indeed. A raccoon sits in Soldier's helmet. “You turned him...into a raccoon?” “In a maggot-eating raccoon! Muhahaha!” “And why a raccoon?” “Soldier likes raccoons so much. Then he shall be himself one! And now to you!” “Wait! I ‘ave a better idea.” “What would that be?” Spy recognizes his chance and tries to win Merasmus for their cause. “We are looking for the BLU Team. ‘elp us to find them and you can go on the rampage with them.” “But I don’t want the BLU Team.” “You will ‘ave fun with them. They are all scary ‘ares. We are no longer afraid of you. You just attacked us too often. We know all your tricks. But the BLUs don't. You can teach them ‘ow to fear. Well, what do you say?” Merasmus is thinking. Spy puts more affect. He waves him down and whispers into the wizard's ear: “They also ‘ave a soldier. Just imagine, it would be RED soldier and set all your magic onto ‘im. I know you can never do anything to our soldier. In a way, you still feel sympathy for ‘im, don't you?” A warning look from Merasmus. “Don’t worry. I will not tell anyone. But only if you ‘elp us.” “Who whispers, lies!” the raccoon shouts from its helmet. “SILENCE! Agreed. I will help you. Leave me a moment.” Merasmus closes his eyes. “Mmhhh… mmhhh… Yes, I can see them. They are in Sawmill.” “Sawmill? Of all places?” “Let us start.” Engineer picks up Soldier's helmet, and he recognizes that one is missing. “Where is the boy?” “AAAAAaaaaaaahhhhhh…..!” Scouts mark-shouting cry echoes through the whole place. The Mercs automatically turn to the clock. After a brief moment of waiting, it spits out the runner with a bell gong and he falls in high arch on the checkpoint, where he remain lying down motionless. “Could someone please pick up Scout, so we can finally drive?”
Team Fortress 2
“Nnnghh!” “Put him down here, Soldier.” In the infirmary of the BLU Medic the doctor is rudely put down on the ground. “Thank you very much.” Soldier gives a growl and goes. BLU Medic and Spy stay. “Do I get at least a chair?” “Nix da! You cockroach stays on the ground. After all, you belong there. Miserable RED-Pack…” “And what is to happen now?” “Now?” BLU Medic takes his pencil and notepad, stands before the prisoner and looks down at him. “Now you will tell me the secret of the Übercharge.” “…that’s all? You kidnapped me so just to tell you how the Übercharge works?” “What do you mean ‘just’? Because of this Übercharge, you always win every battle! We have no chance against you at all! Pah! Your cowards could not win otherwise, right?” RED Medic stares incredulously at the BLU Medic. “Wait what? Do you try to tell me that we are cheating?” RED Medic is getting angry. “Now listen to me, you wannabe Medic! It's not my fault that you don't have the necessary expertise to support your team! It was just my decision to upgrade my team-mates to create the Übercharge. If you don't come up with such ideas, that's not my fault. Apart from that, we would win without the Übercharge too.” It remains silent in the infirmary. Spy stands somewhat apart and observes the situation interested. “Honestly, if you had asked me for advice, I would have gladly helped you.” “What?!” BLU Medic is perplexed. “You should have just asked me. I would have even helped you with the operation. We don't need to be a step ahead of you with all might, you know?” “Er… I… Moment! Operation?” “Of course. You have to cut open your team mates, take their hearts out of them and...” “Stop!” From BLU Medics face the color has faded. RED Medic cannot help but laugh at it. “Ach ja, richtig. You're suffering from hematophobia. You're afraid of blood and injections. Oh ever. And since you want to believe that clones are actually perfect.” “Hematophobia is the 'morbid' fear of blood. It's not so bad with me! I'm not fainting. At least not anymore... Uh ...!” BLU Medic balks. “What did you say? Clones?” “Well, have a look at you. We are as alike as two peas in a pod. Do you think this is normal?” “…no. But that doesn't mean that WE are clones! Just what are you thinking who you are?” “I remember my childhood and where I come from. You too?” “………”The anger lets the color return to BLU Medics' face. “This is a completely different story!”
Poop. “Hmh?” BLU Medic reaches into his hair. There he touches something. Then he looks up at his doves. RED Medic shakes his head amused. “Not even your birds have respect for you. It hit you hard when Spy told you that my doves defended me, right? They'd never do such a thing for you, would they?” BLU Medic is fighting hard, not losing control of himself. Threateningly, he points to the RED with his finger. “We will…talk about…this later…” Then he turns around and leaves the infirmary. Spy remains a moment, inspects Medic, and smokes his cigarette. Then the Frenchman is about to leave, too. “Kill me!” Spy stops abruptly and turns back to Medic very slowly. On his face a wide smile. You can see that he very enjoys this moment. He approached to Medic, kneel down before him and answers: “Later.” He blows the cigarette smoke in his face. “Maybe.” Annoyed, Medic turns his head aside. “You like it, don’t you?” “Immensely.” Spy goes over to the double door. There he turns round again. “Now we're quit.” Then he leaves and RED Medic remains alone.
He waits a moment, and then, with the help of the wall in his back, he levers up himself on the legs. Fortunately, the BLUs have not thought of tying his ankles. But they had thought of one thing; there is not a single instrument in the entire operating room. No scalpel, no drill, not even a pair of pliers. Or does it usually look like this? That would at least make sense. After all, BLU Medic is suffering from a blood phobia. “………” However, RED Medic does not give up the search. But he stays inside the infirmary. It would be too risky to get out with tied hands. When they discover him, he sits on the ground faster than he would like. Why do they leave him alone at all?
When he still looks around the room for a chance to get rid of his shackles, the doves suddenly dart at him. “What the…?” Bzzz! Medic gets a light electric shock. The doves hack on Engineer's power cable, with which he is tied up. As in the madness, the birds chop up at it again and again. Medic not only gets damage from the permanent electric shocks, but is also hurt by the beaks. The doves also are not spared from electric shocks. But they get over it as nothing. Finally the power cable is broken and falls to the ground. The doves sit back on the ceiling lamp. Every now and then some of them twitch, while the crackling of the stream is heard. Medic rubs his wrists and looks up at the birds. “Well, you seem to have done this many times, huh? I also have a dove who likes to dig through intestines. I bet you'd would get along well with Archimedes. I have to go now. Please be nice to your owner. He is okay.” “Coo~” Medic smiles.
He's now heading towards the exit. But he barely steps out of the room, suddenly the BLU Heavy comes around the corner. Both are freezing for a moment, then the Russian rushes at him with an angry outcry. Medic moves back into the room, grabs the holder of both doors, and slams them shut. He hurried to the operating table and rolled it in front of the double door. This will not stop this bear of a Russian, but maybe Medic can win a bit of time. He looks around frantically, discovering a ventilation shaft, sideways above BLU Medics desk. He jumps on the table, has to stretch a bit to get to the grid. Fortunately, it's easy to remove it. With a courageous leap, Medic moves into the shaft. He can hear it banging and clattering behind him. Heavy is in the room! As fast as possible, the RED member tries to crawl away from the opening, but he does not come far. In front of him in the narrow shaft stands a raccoon before him. “What the…? Wild animals lurking into the base? Ha, so BLU Medic probably got his doves.” “Don't stare at me, maggot!” “…Soldier?” “That's how it looks.” “How did you become a raccoon? By science? Interesting.” “By magic.” “Ach so… So not interesting. Wait… Magic? But the only one who has this ability is...” “That's why we could find you. And now let's go. I want to be back to my human form.” “So I find you very cute.” A threatening growling. “Haha! All right, all right. Thank you for coming for me. I thought I had to kill myself.” “No Maggot is left behind!” “Wouldn't you saying soldier? No soldier is left behind?” “Jarrr…” Soldier turns around in the narrow shaft to leads Medic out. This one already sees himself in freedom when suddenly he feels a powerful grip around one of his ankles. Heavy! Medic had completely forgotten him! Quick-thinking, he grabs Soldier's ringed tail and they are both pulled out of the shaft with a strong hitch. Upside down RED Medic hangs in front of BLU Heavy, who looks anything but enthusiastic. “Heavy has caught leetle Doktor!” “Just look what I caught.” Medic holds up Soldier by his tail and he attacks immediately. His sharp teeth bite into Heavy's arm. The Russian screams loudly and lets Medic fall to the ground to fight with the raccoon. RED Medic uses the chance and runs out of the infirmary. He can hardly believe it when he sees that his entire team is here. And each of them fights against his copy. However without any weapons. No explosions, no shots are heard. Shall no one be killed? Well, all right. Main point, I'm coming out of here finally. At least I don't have to kill myself with all my power anymore. Hah, excised now, where I have free track…
Suddenly RED Medic is grabbed from behind. A strong arm wraps around his neck and his left arm is fixed on his back. “So what have we got here?” BLU Medic steps in front of RED. Although his team is tracked and fought, he smiles. “What?” he asks. “What are you grinning about? Don't you know you lost?” “I do. I realize a defeat when I get one. But before I die I will see you die. Soldier.” Firmly in his grip, BLU Soldier drags Medic toward the moving giant buzzsaw. “Wait what?! First you want to drive me into suicide and when that didn’t work, you want to kill me now with all violence?” “To drive you into WHAT? Fess! Bring it to a close, Soldier!” RED Medic is lifted high in the air. They stand directly in front of one of the buzzsaws. “Position him so that he does not die immediately, hehe. W-wwahhhh!” Now BLU Medic is lifted in the air - by RED Heavy. “Let down Heavy's Doktor!” BLU Soldier is paralysed of this outcome of the situation. This makes Heavy angry. “NOW!” “Let him down! Let him down!” implores BLU Medic. Soldier obeys, and only a moment later RED Medic stands firmly on both legs. “Thank you, Heavy. I knew you wouldn’t let me down.” “We are team, Doktor. Like family.” “Yes, that’s true. You BLUs could take a page from our book.” “Pff! Preferably I'd like to cut you into whole slices…” Heavy lifts BLU Medic higher; threatens to throw him into the buzzsaw. “T-then do it! Kill me! This shame is unbearable!” But Heavy doesn't. Instead he lets BLU Medic down. He looked surprised at the Russian. “Heavy will not kill the Doktor. We do not fight regularly. And Doktor looks like Heavy's Doktor...” “………” “Besides we have plan for BLU.” “What kind of plan…?” “Soldier!” BLU Soldier flinches as the thundering voice of Merasmus echoes through the place. A bilious green cloud forms before the Mercs and the magician hovers in front of them in the air. “Just how did you get him to help you?” Medic and Heavy stand a bit apart and watch Soldier and BLU Medic tremble in front of Merasmus. “We are no longer afraid of him.” “I think I understand.” “Welcome to your doom, RED Soldier!” “I’m not RED-“ “S-soldier!” BLU Medic stares at Soldier in disbelief. The soldier looks down and frightened. His blue jacket had changed the color to red. “I-I’m not RED!” “Do you want to tell me that I cannot distinguish blue from red?” Merasmus dark laughter makes the BLUs wince. “Let's get the rest of the team and have some fun!” “WWAAAHHHHH!”
For half an hour now, the entire RED team sits outside the base in Sawmill, watching Merasmus terrorize the BLU team with his horror magic. Soldier is his special victim, that's why his cries are louder and more often to hear. “It's kind of fun to watch, but don't we want to go back to our base? I mean, it's long since sleep time.” “Not yet, Demo. I still have to ask Merasmus for a favor.” “What are ya up to, Doc?” “I will fulfill the BLUs a long-awaited wish.” “Why should you do that? Did you develop feelings for these losers during your captivity?” “Just trust me. Engineer, I need your help when it's time.” “Ya can count on me, Doc.” “MAGGOTS!” All eyes are on Soldier in his raccoon form. He had dug all the time in the ground, and now found some maggots, which he all hoard into his helmet. “Disgusting…” “Shut up! This is my dinner!” “Yeah, then eat them. You just stare at them.” “I cannot eat them yet! I have to wash them before! I'm a RACCOON.” “Don’t be like that. Overcome your instinct and get away with that dumb animals before I get terribly sick.” When Soldier doesn't react, Scout reaches for his helmet with the intention of throwing the maggots away. Soldier hisses, bares his teeth and snaps at his hand. The boy pulls away, staring at the raccoon. “Dude! Do you have rabies or what? Doc, you have to euthanize him!” “Calm down, boys.” Engineer stand up. “I’ll be right back.” “And where does he want to go now? Geez…” “Ah! Merasmus! Wait! Can I speak to you briefly?” “Aha. The man of science, for whom this theater takes place here.” “Don't act as if you don't have fun.” “In fact, the blue team is very amusing. What do you want? Did you finally realize that magic is above science?” “Hahahah! No. Really. No. Science is something hand-tight. Magic, on the other hand, is only a series of pocket games tricks. Nothing but illusions.” “You fool! You think that's an illusion?” The green mist around Merasmus turns into flickering fire, Monoculus and the Horseless Headless Horsemann encircle the team, but the Mercs remain calm. Only Demoman is lightly sentimental. “Left eye… Is that you?” “Save that for the BLU team, Merasmus.” The magician sighs defeated. “Come on, go and scare the guys over there.” Monoculus and the Horseless Headless Horsemann do what Merasmus commands. “Wait!” Demo wants to run after Monoculus, but Heavy holds him. “Here, drink a bit, mate.” Sniper puts a bottle of rum in his hand. Immediately he takes a strong sip. “Thanks, lad…” “So what do you want from me, man of science?” “When you are finished with your haunting, can you drop them into a deep sleep?” “Without ever waking up again?” “No! They have to wake up again. But only after I'm finished with them.” “Why do you bother with these weaklings at all?” “Probably for the same reason you are bother with us.” “I see.” “Besides, we would otherwise be unemployed.” “Whatever.” Merasmus is about to go. “Wait!” “What next?” Merasmus is slowly becoming impatient. “What about me?” “What do you mean, Soldier?” “Change me back!” “No, don’t do it!” Scout calls. “Otherwise he puts his finger back in his nose again. We must keep him from that.” The raccoon demonstrates that he doesn’t have to be a human to do that. His tongue tip wanders in his nose. “Oh, yag! Okay, change him back…” “Why should I? You seem to have resigned yourself with your role as raccoon.” “Merasmus…” Medic gives the magician a warning look. “Don't have a cow. At sunrise my magic becomes ineffective and then you look like as before.” “Why just don't you change me back immediately?” “Now? After you've worked so hard for your food?” “Hm… That’s true…” Soldier says with a look into his helmet, where the dozens of maggots bend and twist. “If you would excuse me now.” Merasmus disappears before their eyes. “Maggot…” Scout reaches out for Soldier and caress over his furry back. The raccoon snaps at him. “Stop it!” “Easy. I just wanted to pet you. Maybe you like it.” “I’m not a pet!” “But you keep raccoons as pets.” “I may that!”
Engineer is back. He no longer carries his yellow protective helmet on his head, but holds it in his hands. “I brought ya water.” He sits down to soldier. Soldier is delighted. “Thanks, Engie!” Immediately, he takes off a maggot from his own helmet with his paws and immerses them in the water in Engineer's helmet. Then he eats it. Scout turns away in disgust. “Eww!” “Maggots are perfect protein suppliers, scout. This is how your muscles grow.” “C’mon, Doc! Cut the crap!” “And they are juicy and very tasty” adds Soldier. “O-okay… Then I do it!” Scout reaches for the maggots, but the raccoon scratches him. “Ow! What’s the matter?” “Find your own!” “Hmpf!”
Merasmus teaches the BLU team for a long time the fear. Just when it's slowly get light, he disappears. But he had kept his promise and sent the BLUs into a deep sleep. Demoman, Sniper, Pyro and Scout are sleeping. And even the raccoon soldier, after he had finished eating, had curled himself up in his helmet, which took the engineer his lap. Medic straightened his glasses and rise from his place. “It’s time. Are you ready, Engineer?” “Yeah, Doc.” Gently, the engineer sets Soldier's helmet on the ground and stands up. “What exactly are you going to do now, Docteur?” “I will do with them what I have done with you. I will upgrade their heart and Engineer will rebuild BLU Medics Medigun so that he can übercharge his team.” “Why should you do this?” “That was exactly why they kidnapped me. And we really don' have to need to let us call cheater. And so both teams will be on the same level.” “Doktor is good Doktor. Is fair.” “Thanks, Heavy. And who knows? Maybe the battles will be more challenging.” “But not that will be become the habit. Because I don't believe that BLU Medic will ever overcome his fear of blood and innards.” “Miracles happen again and again.” “But Docteur, you are really the last one who believes in miracles. After all, this is not science.” “You caught me, my friend.” “If ya want, ya can go back to the base and pick us up here later. I think we'll need a while here.” “Agreed.” “Oh, Heavy. Before I forget, would you stay with us? Some of them we will not be able to lift.” “Of course, Medic.”
Team Fortress 2
When BLU Medic awakens, he finds himself in his bed. He looks around in surprise. “What the…?” He gets up and goes over to the infirmary room. There he sees a video tape on his desk. He hesitates for a moment, but then pushes it into the VCR. RED Medic appears on the screen. “Hallo! Surely you ask yourself what this is. I explain it to you. I've done you and your entire team a favor. Have you already seen your Medigun?” BLU Medic looks around for his Medigun. It stands where he always places it. In fact, it looks slightly changed. “Engie was so nice and changed it a bit, while I've been taking care of you. Maybe you can feel it in your left chest.” BLU Medic touches the mentioned chest and breathes automatically deeply in and out. “I have upgraded your heart. It has not only become stronger, but becomes invulnerable with a touch of the medi beam for a short time. In other words, you are now able to activate the Übercharge. No no no. It's alright. You don't have to thank me. I've fixed the operations on tape. Just in case you want to know how it works.” Then pictures appear on the screen, letting the BLU Medic freeze. They lie there, with their chest open, while RED Medic shoves a device with steel needles into their heart. The world becomes black. “Well, surely you are now lying fainting on the ground, but let another thing be said to you. YOU ARE THE CLONE! Ahahahaha !! Come on! Engie, Heavy! Wave. Okay. See you on the battlefield. Until then, you can practice the Übercharge. I hope you don't disappoint me...”

Man of Ash and Thorns: Chapter 10
The sun had set by the time Reyna walked into Bellevue Hospital. Hospitals at night were so much creepier than they were during the day. There was a quiet in the halls that made the Sorceress look over her shoulder multiple times as she walked towards her destination. A florescent light flickered off and on, casting dark, ominous shadows on the off-white walls.
Slipping into room 333, Reyna stopped at the foot of the patient's bed. "I was wondering when you'd show up," Bub said as he stepped out of the shadows behind her. The room had no windows to the outside, and the only light shining on the two of them came from the machines monitoring the patient's health. "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, traffic was just . . ." sighing, Reyna started again. "Look, I'm sorry to call you so late—and with Hannah being so pregnant, but I—I need your help. Yours and Sam's."
Bub's brows furrowed and he took a step closer, "What's happened?"
Shaking her head, Reyna turned back to the patient, "No—I mean, first just let me summon Sam." The patient in front of her was William Freeman, the body Samyaza had possessed all those months ago. Grabbing the catatonic man's wrist, the Sorceress looked over her shoulder, "Watch the door." Summoning a small exacto knife from her apartment, she made the small incisions on both her forearm and the patient's. His blood was used to create Samyaza's summoning circle, and her was used to draw a binding circle over the summoning one. Placing her hand over the two bloody marks, Reyna whispered the incantation and mixed the seals.
A light flashed, bright and blinding, and then the body gasped and began to thrash about. Reyna stepped back, waiting for the episode to end. His eyes opened and blinked. Once, twice, then after the third time Reyna found herself looking into the black eyes of a Devil. "What," Samyaza breathed out slowly, "the fuck?"
"How do you feel?" Bub asked his brother over his shoulder so he could keep watch by the door.
"Like shit." Sam responded before trying to sit up.
"The muscles have started losing their strength I guess," Reyna mused. She made a mental note to study human muscles more. She knew that the last time they'd used Freeman's body, he'd only been catatonic for a few weeks, so it wasn't too big a deal. This time, though, it'd been a few months. Maybe she should start summoning Sam more often to stop the decay and make it easier for him to move about. Shaking her head quickly, she pushed those thoughts aside for later. She had more pressing concerns at the moment.
Bub, deciding the coast was officially clear, stepped up to his brother to help him up and out of bed. "So you ready to tell us what's going on?" He asked, his blue eyes glinting dangerously in the dark. He looked ready for a fight and Reyna knew she just had to point in it's general direction and he'd jump into it head first.
"I need your help. Lilith, the Queen of—"
"Vampires," Sam snorted as he took a few tentative steps. "We know who she is."
Barely holding back an eye roll, Reyna continued. "She's been kidnapped—or something. She's in trouble down in New Orleans."
"So?" Sam asked, now doing a few lunges to stretch out his legs.
"So, I made a deal with her," Reyna said slowly. "If something happened to her, I'd find her—insurance, she called it."
"And you agreed to that?" Bub asked incredulously. "Why?"
"She went down there to look for a mutual friend." Reyna shrugged, "I'm invested."
"All right, and what do you need us for?"
"The people who've taken her . . . I don't know them. I don't know what tricks they have up their sleeves or who they consider allies. I don't know if I'm powerful enough alone to take them on." Sam snorted again, but Reyna continued, "So I need the two of you to have my back down there."
"Whatever," Sam said, rolling his shoulders, "I can't imagine anything down there powerful enough to actually challenge your power, witch," he smirked, teasing, "much less all three of us, but it makes no difference to me. What to we get out of it?"
"It depends," Reyna said slowly. "On who we face. Oh, don't give me that look, Samyaza!" His lip had curled at her words, "I can't specify what type of souls you'll be feasting on . . . just that it will be souls."
"So you're telling me that you don't care what we're facing down there . . . Werewolves, Fae, Vampires . . . even other witchlings like yourself? If they're involved in the Fanged-Bitch's kidnapping then they're ours?"
Reyna nodded, "Lilith may have something special in mind for whoever orchestrated this, but yes. I don't care what sort of creatures have her—their souls are yours."
A viscous snarl of a smile cut across Sam's face, and even Bub looked thirsty with anticipation. The brother's looked at each other and nodded. Sam clapped his hands together, "Say no more—lead us to the buffet!"
It took just under six hours for Reyna and her Devils to make it to to the airport, catch their plane, and land in New Orleans. Reyna was a bundle of nervous energy the entire way, but she had to force herself to be patient. Even she couldn't make time go by faster, nor could she magic the distance away. Flying was by far the fastest option, and yet she couldn't help feel like it still wasn't fast enough. Bub and Sam used the time to catch up with each other, talking about everything from the Demons and Spirits in their realm to how Hannah was doing. Reyna was relieved to discover she and Bub had been spending the week at her family's home, so at least the mother to be wouldn't be alone for the next few days while Bub was away. The two brothers even tried to distract her, asking about her shop and Liam. When she told them Morax was tasked with looking after the young Were, Sam couldn't help the disgusting, full bellied laughter that escaped him. He laughed so hard he even cried a bit.
Reyna was thankful for them. Although she couldn't stop the incessant tapping of her foot on the floor of the plane, their conversation did help take the edge off and make the trip go by faster. Soon enough, just past one in the morning, their plane landed, and by two they were in a cab heading towards the heart of the city. If the cab driver wondered why his three new patrons had zero luggage, he didn't ask. They drove into the Mid-City neighborhood, near City Park, and got out. The city was still awake and active, which Reyna was grateful for. She didn't want to be caught lurking about and tip off her unknown enemies.
"This will be our base," she told Sam and Bub, pointing to the lively bar behind her. "We'll split up and search the city for any word of Li—" Reyna stopped herself, not knowing who could be listening. She restarted, "any word of the Fanged-Bitch. If you hear anything call the others, if not then we'll meet back here in two hours. Sam, check out the bayous and whatever else is east of them. The Weres might know something, and if not I'm sure there are some Fae or Goblins that'll be willing to make a trade for the information. Bub, check out Seabrook and Little Woods and try to sniff out any Humans or Vampires in the area. I'll stay on this side of the city and see what else I can find. Sound good?"
"It's a big town, Reyna," Bub said without looking at her. His gaze was everywhere else, trying to see what magic lurked beneath the city's busy exterior. "Wouldn't a tracking spell be more efficient?"
Shaking her head, she explained, "It's a gamble, but I'd bet whoever took . . . her has magic on their side to either block a trace or signal them that someone was looking. I don't want to give ourselves away."
"Let them know we're here," Sam said, an arrogant smirk on his face. "I'll enjoy tearing their limbs from their bodies."
"They might not attack, though," Reyna reasoned. "They might run instead, and that's a risk I am not willing to take."
The two Devils nodded in agreement and they dispersed with barely another word. Sam would be his purely demonic self in the bayous. The land was wild and infested with all different sorts of creatures that would give anyone other than a soul thirsty Devil a hard time. Some of the stronger creatures would sense him—sense what he was—and if they were smart they'd steer clear. It'd be good for Sam, to let out some of his pent up aggression and rage there—fun, even. Reyna just hoped he didn't burn everything around him down in his search. Though, if it somehow led to Sophie's safe return, Reyna found she didn't much care what Sam did with the place.
Bub would be more subtle. He'd summon legions of flies from his dimension and have them search his section of the city. They'd seep into every house, car, trash can . . . everything and anything. Nothing would stop their entrance. It'd be much simpler and safer than his brother's methods—so long as nothing tried to stop them. Bub's flies were persistent and would stop at nothing. She'd never seen them in action, but Sam had recounted to her the many times someone tried to hide or block the flies and what those little monsters did in retaliation. They lived off blood and flesh, and would burrow themselves into bodies and carcasses happily if they needed to get through to its other side.
As for her, Reyna knew where she had to go. She could feel the streets singing to her magic, beckoning her to a specific location. She'd heard about it from Donny, back when they were still on speaking terms. Certain bars were crafted to entice the magical community. The bricks used to make the establishment were enchanted to catch the attention of those with close ties to magic and lead them straight to it. A magical bar would be the best place to start her investigation. With every step forward, Reyna could feel her blood singing with excitement and peace—with a sense of belonging. Soon enough, Reyna turned a corner and she felt like she was flying when she stepped up to Sièlce Magnifique.
It was a club. A very popular one, Reyna thought, as she saw the line to get in reach down and around the block. Castors were waiting excitedly to get in. They were all young, like her, and all drawn here by the building's siren song. Reyna took a step closer to the building, figuring she'd wait in line and make it in eventually like the rest, when she caught sight of the bouncer. He wasn't anything special, or out of the ordinary. He looked like a stereotypical bouncer. His white head was shaved, he wore black leather, and he was huge. He was also a Vampire. And he wasn't alone. There were two more up on the roof of the building, one down the street, and one on the other side of the door. Five Vampires wasn't unusual, but five Vampires acting as security? That was suspicious.
Reyna took a step back and gasped as a wave of nausea overcame her. She grunted and took another step back. Another wave of nausea hit her, it was almost like her stomach was trying to turn itself inside out. She took another step, forward this time, and sighed when the feeling disappeared and was immediately replaced with that warm, comforting feeling from before. Frowning, Reyna thought back to Donny and his stories. In none of them did he say that ignoring the magical call would cause a negative side effect. That couldn't be normal.
Looking back at the Castors, Reyna perused their attire and found not a single one of them wore anything to repel a Vampire. Not a single one had markings on their skin to protect themselves. Not a single one had cast a spell over themselves or their friends. That didn't necessarily mean anything, but . . . she walked closer to the line and set her sights on a group of female Castors about her age that were in middle of the long line. "Hi, I'm sorry to bother you, but I was wondering I you knew where I could find Bourbon Street?"
"Oh, I'm sorry," one of the girls said, "We're just visiting—we don't know where anything is!"
"You're all tourists, too, then?" She asked, watching the many people around her nod. A few people in front and behind them nodded as well after she caught their eyes. She walked down the line a bit and asked again. The answer was the same. She tried again, going almost to the end of the line. Tourists, all of them. Catching the eye of one of the Vampire bouncers, Reyna stopped her questioning and instead got in line and pulled out her phone.
Reyna sent a text out to both Bub and Sam, calling them back to her and giving them her current address. By the time they found her, Reyna was almost at the front of the line. Sam arrived looking exhilarated, liberated, completely at ease with everything in the universe. Bub looked a little like that as well, his eyes were alight with danger and adrenaline, but he also had the sense to realize Reyna had stumbled upon something. So, with a frown pulling at his lips, he asked, "What do we have here?"
"A bad ass looking club!" Sam shouted, pumping his fists up into the air. If Reyna didn't know him better, she'd think he was intoxicated. But no, he was just drunk on his own power.
"Notice the security?" She asked under her breath.
"Yeah, they're Vamps," Bub's brow furrowed with confusion. "So?"
"And these people in line," Reyna continued, jerking her chin to the people waiting around them. "What are they?"
"Humans—Castors, I guess. Why does that—"
"Only Castors," Reyna clarified. "And only tourists." The door to the club opened up and the three of them were led inside. The lighting was dark, much too dark for a human's natural eye sight. Music blared from the speakers at a volume higher than anywhere around, making it almost impossible to communicate. Bodies grind and writhed against one another on the dance floor and huddles of people were clustered together in what looked intimate embraces.
Sneering at it all—the flare, the dramatics, the illusions—Reyna felt her magic crackle within her muscles and uncoil deep within her belly. Throwing her hands up, Reyna released a wave of pure magic throughout the building like a great tidal wave in the middle of a once calm ocean. Sparks flew from the massive speakers and the music stopped, only to be replaced by howling screams. Emergency lights flickered once, twice, thrice, before the room was illuminated by bright florescent lights, showing the true nature of the club. The writhing bodies from the dance floor were flailing about, trying to escape the Vampires latched around their necks. The intimate groupings along the side were uncovered to be Vampires finishing off the last of their dried up prey.
Sam let out a low whistle, "Not a club, then."
Bub's jaw dropped, "A slaughter house."
"Yup," Reyna said darkly, looking at all the Vampires in the room and watching as they realized meal had been interrupted. Several began to hiss at them, and Reyna heard something latch into place behind them—the door's lock, most likely. Peripherally, Reyna saw several Vampires stalking towards them and could feel the security Vampire coming up from behind. "Well boys, you wanted souls," she looked up at the two Devils and gestured towards the Vampires, "Think these will do?"
Samyaza smiled down at her, his teeth barring themselves menacingly. He looked like the perfect predator, only perhaps a bit too gleeful at the prospect of the hunt. Blinking, his eyes bled black and he broke eye contact to look at the feast before him. "Oh," he laughed, his smile widening, "This'll do."
