“FUSHIMI´S HOME COOKING”
Translation: Naru-kun Raws: Ridia
Scepter 4's dorm recommended eating in the attached coffee shop in the morning and evening, except for lunch. There is a small room in each man’s dormitory and women's dormitory, but there is a coffee shop equipped with large-scale professional kitchen equipment, from 7:00 to 9:00 on weekdays in the morning and in the evening they can eat from 18:00 to 20:00.
Although help was included and the two are appropriate, the main part was cut into two twin parts. The place was broadly decided as the boys 'bedroom and the girls' bedroom, but they flexibly complemented each other.
The coffee shop has a good reputation among members because it has a rich repertoire of dishes at a reasonable price.
However, due to unhappiness in the caretakers' hometown, they both had to be out of the dorm for about two weeks. Of course, they should have a substitute, but due to the sudden situation and the short period, it is difficult to find a substitute. Thus, the people in the bedroom spoke, and finally Reisi Munakata exercised his discretion, and the members took turns standing in the kitchen for two weeks. Given the situation, women will also use the coffee shop in the men's dorm during this period to unify the operation.
Who will be in charge of cooking and when will be decided by a draw, taking into account each shift.
The budget will be paid daily for the sum of the men's bedroom and the women's bedroom.
The last person to eat should never complain.
Such an arrangement was made. What was unfortunate for the members was that this period was the same as Kamo's business trip, which was previously devoted to Japanese food. He himself was disappointed that he couldn't be there.
It was undeniable that the force was drastically reduced, but the members took turns cooking themselves while having fun. The women showed reasonable strength in displaying the delicious stew and meaty potatoes, but surprisingly the men in the task force performed well.
Akiyama was surprised by the high standard of roast beef, fried rice with lettuce, and Zasai soup. When he was in high school, he had a part-time job at a Chinese restaurant in town. With a modest narrative, he spoke of that time with a nostalgic feeling and elevated his value.
Also, Enomoto made a strange curry with a mystery dressing based on the blue roux and was noticed by everyone, but it was surprisingly delicious with an ethnic flavor. It appears that he recently organized and reproduced the exclusive menu of a popular curry shop in his favorite city.
On the contrary, when everyone started waiting who would cook what kind of food, "Fushimi-san, what are you cooking?"
Domyoji approached Fushimi with a seriously uneasy face. Fushimi was on duty the day before the last day.
"Ah?"
When Fushimi frowns,
"Everyone tells me that Fushimi-san would insist that the protein bar and nutritional jelly that he always replenishes be a plate."
Fushimi looked around. Hidaka and his friends looked away hastily. Apparently, when there was rumor about such a thing behind the scenes, it seems that Domyoji who was worried rushed in honestly. After thinking about Fushimi for a while,
"That is correct. That is not bad either."
He finally laughed. Domyoji was holding his head as if he was desperate.
And the day came when Fushimi took over cooking and everyone was surprised.
"Fushimi-san, this?"
Hidaka pointed to the plate placed on the table in front of him. There was pasta and soup that seemed to be deliciously steaming.
"Well, eat it."
Fushimi, who twirled his arms, urged him on as he wiped his hands with a dish towel. The members were even more surprised by the food they were served.
"This pasta is basically Bolognese, but the protein bar is used as an accent!"
"The soup is seasoned with consommé, but the base is a nutritious drink? The sweetness of the broth is so delicious! Also, the ingredients are beef and this texture... ah, fries?"
There are several comments. It is quite positive.
"A world of cutting-edge, first-rate junk cuisine like Fushimi-san!"
Enomoto was screaming like a cooking cartoon.
Domyoji...
"Hm."
He talks and eats. Hidaka...
"Fushimi-san. Did you cook?"
When he looked at Fushimi because he was impressed,
"Nowadays, if you look at the video site, can you find out how to cook as much as you want?"
Fushimi shrugged as if nothing had happened. He didn't say. When he was in Homura, he was able to make some pasta with the help of Kusanagi standing in the kitchen of the bar.
Awashima, who had finished eating pasta and soup, said as she wiped her mouth with a napkin.
"You did, Fushimi. You really used your own ingredients and fixed it."
Smile,
"On the last day, I will do my best to express myself!"
They were all terrified. By the way, they forgot the last manager.
Seri Awashima, who loves Anko, was in charge of the last day. And, as expected, she used the anko very well and served the full plate with it.
The food under the anko was delicious.

Get To Know Me!
@foxofninetales tagged me in this ask game and since I LOVE HER i will now be doing it (i mean i’d do it anyway but now it will be filled with love for FOX i am not accepting CRITICISM ON THIS POINT)
Part I
name: Brigid! I’m named after the Irish goddess of like, poetry, healing, smithcraft, and protection, or the Irish saint (they’re both pretty similar it’s just whether or not you’re talking about Celtic religion or Catholicism). She’s very cool, and I think it’s a very fitting name for who I turned out to be!
pronouns: she/her
star sign: i’m an insufferable theatre kid of course I’m a Leo
height: 5'8″ babeeeyyy (172 cm). I’m not short like, at all, but all of my family members are over six foot, so I’m like. tiny in comparison. they all make fun of me all the time for it :(
time: 8:49pm! A delightful time of evening!!!
birthday: July 31st, same day as Harry Potter lol.
nationality: american :P
fave bands/groups/solo artists: hnnnngggghhhh why would u ask me this I don’t KNOW jk i just have a lot uhhhhh all time faves would be Bastille and Mumford and Sons, but I’m SUPER into kpop right now, so my top groups are BTS, Stray Kids, and One OK Rock (who are technically jpop but I really like their stuff). I also am a Broadway BITCH (hello, theatre kid) so before this year all of my Spotify library was basically just show tunes.
song stuck in your head: Get Away by VeriVery. I think they’re a pretty new group? idk i saw them on one of those tumblr promotional things and checked out the music video which is like??? really interesting conceptually? so I’ve just been listening to the song for a while lol.
last movie you watched: Train to Busan! I’m gearing up to write a dmbj zombie apocalypse AU and so I was like “this is a popular zombie film! I’ll watch it for inspiration! :)” holy shit. holy shit i was so wrong. It’s one of the most viscerally affecting films I think I’ve ever seen, I was like. On the verge of an anxiety attack the entire time but in like the best possible way?? it’s a mastery of character introduction and action/horror and I cried for like the last ten minutes straight. SO affecting. I do NOT RECOMMEND IT if u are already made anxious by zombie apocalypse scenarios, blood, violence, and a Lot of Death.
last show you binged: hmmm uh like I’m currently watching Mystic Nine but at like a normal pace, so the last show I probably binge watched was maybeeee The Uncanny Counter on Netflix? HIGHLY recommend that one, I made @cross-d-a watch it and I’m living for her liveblog reactions lmao. Idk most of my free time has been spent writing the past few months which. After months of only having the energy to watch shows is kind of really invigorating? the things u can do when u fix ur health I’ll tell you what
when you created your blog: in 2012 asldighalsdkfjladskjga i came on here to like burdge’s pjo fanart :)
the last thing you googled: "is it bad not to have an air cap on your tire” ALSDIGHALKDFJLADFJA FUCK ME (i learned that it’s not necessarily bad but it can get dirt and stuff built up in there so I went to the store after work today and replaced it)
other blogs: everything is here bc i am too lazy to create a sideblog! so sorry to everyone who does not follow me for cdrama content bc this is all I am now.
why i chose my url: cause it’s my ao3 username and i wanted people to be able to find me more easily on tumblr! :) the long answer is because i love shakespeare and also i think that slut is a really funny word and concept for me especially because i am one of the most sexless people u will ever meet in ur life so slutspeare is like. an aggressively ace joke that only I think is funny.
how many people are you following: 588
how many followers do you have: ah just over 200?!??!!? which is like. a lot for me. I think it was like 75 up until like last year omg
average hours of sleep: my sleep app says I average around eight! which is very good for me! I do have to get enough sleep consistently or I will Have A Bad Time so my sleep schedule is pretty good and luckily I don’t have the Insomnia depression I have the Sleep Lots one which I am glad for bc idk what I’d do if I couldn’t Be Unconscious regularly. Die probably.
lucky numbers: I don’t think I have lucky numbers?? my favorite number is 21 for no reason other than the vibes alone.
instruments: i’ve played the piano for uhhhh.... eighteen years now? and I can play the ukulele and am surprisingly good with the recorder since I’ve had to play it in Multiple Theatre Performances. I was also an honor choir singer back in high school so I’ve done a lot of select ensemble stuff which was super fun!
what i'm currently wearing: a Life Is Good long-sleeved t-shirt that says “Not All Who Wander Are Lost” that I got in a military surplus store like a million years ago and red Adidas athletic shorts that I found at the thrift store a couple weeks back
dream job: playwright! I just wanna be a playwright! playwriting is like drugs i literally go nuts for it
dream trip: I don’t know??? I don’t really like traveling tbh aslidhalkfdj umm I do want to see the grand canyon sometime before I die tho so maybe a road trip down there? I definitely like traveling solo so I’d probably just hang out with myself and drive and go to whatever places I want and see dumb tourist attractions and sing loudly in the car
fave food: CURRY i know i said eggs the last time it asked me this but I miss my local Indian restaurant I want to eat literal Platefuls of tikka masala at 12pm at the Indian buffet after my physics class again :(
top three fictional universe you'd like to live in: hmmm i don’t know, actually! probably one where I have Powers and could do Cool Hand Motions and make Lights Appear. If I were anywhere with like. An Actual World-Dooming problem tho I would not be helpful at all. I would just die. Besides, I already live in fictional universes half the time, I’m a writer!
Part II
last song: Basquiat by Pentagon! The music video is like. Very whumpy. So if you’re into that... the song’s also a bop
last stream: i don't watch streams very often, I just watch clips from them, cause those usually just give the best parts lol
currently reading: mmmmmbbbaaaaahhhhh literally nothing? I’m trying to get caught up on the backlog of dmbj fic I haven’t gotten around to so Binding by @vishcount is next on that list! oh I guess I’m also reading Johnny Tremain with my kids (one of them SPOILED THE END and I forgot how it ended and now I’m big sad).
currently watching: Mystic Niiiiinnnneeeeee! love those gay history bitches. everyone in that show is so funny. I just finished the Fuba Side Plot tho and now we’re back to Politics so i’m like >:( someone give zhang baby rishan a hug (and then i write angst about him what is wrong with me)
what is antipoetry to you: antipoetry??? what the heck is antipoetry hold on... uhhhh that’s just poetry. who came up with this term. i guess like lyrical fiction would be the technical correct definition but idk I consider anything to be poetry! like that’s the whole point! poetry is poetry is poetry as long as it’s focused on intensity and emotions it’s poetry! a haiku? poetry. the random one-lined mess of words on my phone? poetry. a literal drawing of a cardinal with the word “bird” written next to it? poetry. idk I’ve been trying to teach my kids that there are no wrong ways to write creatively; if you’re expressing yourself and making emotions, then you’re writing! also like half of my work could be considered antipoetry lmao. I love emotionally supercharging the mundane.
currently craving: i have noooo ideaaaasssss i’m literally just vibing. uh. water? ok i took care of that one my water bottle was right next to me.
AH IF YOU READ THIS MUCH THANK YOU???? i love u
uhhhh no pressure tags for @xia-xueyi, @nope4ever, @bookjoyworm, @elletromil, and @gaiahenshin, as well as anyone else who would like to give the full-rundown on themselves! :D

Boku No Hero Light Novel II Translations.
Chapter 1, Commence the Study Groups! Final Part
(そろそろの勉強会)
[Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4]
t/n: I’d never expect I’d finish this chapter so soon, but nonetheless I hope everyone’s been enjoying it so far! In regards to next translations, I’ll be picking out chapters I feel are the most fun and would be most interesting for people to read, so I’ll be skipping a couple :( but with that being said, I’d probably go back to translate them at a later time in life (this goes for the first light novel too), So right now it’s a toss up between two chaps; a+b girls having a girly night and talking about which guys they’d date AND a+b boys arm wrestling and well… being boys ^_^ pls let me know if there’s one you’d like to read first, if not I’ll just randomly choose or smth.
but yeahhhh, once again thank you so much for reading!!!!  ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Kirishima has concluded that studying can only be done well if it’s done on your own, however around the same time Kyouka and Ashido are still very lost within the mansion.
“Shoot, we should have waited for the maid to bring us back.”
“Oh wells! If we just walk a bit, we’ll eventually get back!”
Kyouka draws a worried look, she narrows her eyebrows while Ashido was going on like her usual happy go lucky self.
“Don’t you think this is a good opportunity? While we’re on the hunt for the lecture hall, we’ll be on an adventure at the same time!”
“ehhhh?”
“Adventure! Adventure!”, and like that Ashido started skipping happily while Kyouka had no choice but to follow her lead as usual.
“Listen, afterwards Yaomomo is going to give us a tour of her room.”
“huh?”
The identical doors and walls carried on forever, this is by no doubt a giant maze.
They wondered what it felt like having grown up living in a place like this, but Yaoyorozu being here since birth, as far as she’s concerned, this is nothing out of the ordinary for her.
Kyouka suddenly remembers Yaoyorozu’s mother and her judgemental look.
“…….”
Kyouka kept checking her clothes over and over.
“…..hey, my clothes… are they weird?”
“Clothes? They’re really cool and cute!….huh? librar-…ah! Here’s the library!”
They looked at the conspicuous plate on the large door, “ehhh-” Ashido was obviously very impressed while Kyouka just let out a small sigh.
This had Ashido’s interest, the finely divided sections in the library were distinct but the genre’s were all pretty much the same.
However, Yaoyorozu’s kinda genre were already very distinct.
Kyouka was all about punk fashion, Yaoyorozu was very refined and neat.
Kyouka’s favourite music is rock, Yaoyorozu’s was classicals.
Their hobbies, their appearance, the environments they were raised in, everything was extremely different.
And if they were to have anything in common, it’ll probably only be the fact that they’re both girls.
But despite their differences, before they even realised, they became really close.
Yaomomo is a good girl, you can see it in her perfectness, although she had amazing self confidence and was always doing the best, that was nothing but the ordinary for her.
She wasn’t stuck up though, she was actually really easy to talk to, this was what a normal friendship was.
And for this reason, Kyouka was a little more determined to think better of her friend’s family.
“Kyouka sama, Ashido sama, please, this way.”
“Ah, Butler-san!”
Kyouka swung her head around to face the voice that was coming from behind them, the butler has finally come for them! though, you can hear the minor disappointment in Ashido’s voice.
“My deepest apologies, I will escort you back immediately.”
“Ahh, it’s okay, let us go back on our own please!”
“Please forgive me, however, it is my duty to stop you from losing your way.”
“Don’t worry about that at all! Going on an adventure is fun!”
“My goodness…. shall we return to the lecture hall.” said the butler who suddenly paused to think before he opened his mouth again.
“Before returning to the lecture hall, shall we visit young lady Momo?”
They followed behind the butler when a strange smell struck them, it seeped towards them and the more they walked the thicker the scent became.
“uhh, what kinda smell is this?!” Ashido asked trying to endure it with her hand over he nose.
The butler stopped in his track and turned around.
“….. the smell from the cookies before.”
“Eh?! that cookie?”
“Please this way.” The butler ushered both Kyouka and Ashido forward, to add to their confusion, they could hear two additional footsteps pattering about.
“…….Mother! Please that’s enough, let’s just leave it.”
“Maaaa, what can go wrong?”
The voices heard were that of Yaoyorozu and her mother. Kyouka and Ashido decided to take a small peek at them.
“Hm, as expected, blue flsh and chocolate don’t mix well together.”
“But listen here Momo, blue fish has oils that is good for the brain, isn’t that great? And also this cocoa, it’s going to be alright! If we add the oyster into the mixer too, the fish’s texture won’t be obvious. I added it into the other cookies before, you couldn’t tell right?”
They were in the kitchen which was oddly normal and looked like it wasn’t going to turn into a restaurant or anything anytime soon.
Both Yaoyorozu and her mother were talking in front of a chopping board with a fresh fish laid out along with some cabbage, fancy herbs, natto and a variety of random spices.
Judging from the subject matter, it seemed like the cookies from earlier were handmade by Yaoyorozu’s mother.
“….Yaomomo, it seems like you’re not that great at cooking ey?” Ashido whispers with Kyouka nodding in agreement.
It was an unexpected surprise, but even though she couldn’t cook, she still looked like she knew what she was doing.
The two of them watched them with worried faces while Yaoyorozu continued speaking.
“But, this fishy smell, this… mother you can not tell can you? this smell…”
“Ah, now that you say that, I didn’t smell anything from earlier either, did I catch a cold?”
Doesn’t that mean your nose is paralysed or something?!
“How about we take a short break from cooking?”
“No, I’d rather not, I shall carry on with the cookies.”
“What  no, just end it right there.” Kyouka thought.
Yaoyorozu’s mother was obviously touched by her daughter’s word and formed both her hand into fists giving her daughter some fighting spirit.
“I guess much, after all this is for your friends and their end of term test! If they fail they won’t be able to attend the lodge camp right? If Momo is supporting them with their studies, I am going to support them by boosting their brain activity with these cookies! Just for this special study group.”
Kyouka was slightly taken back, she looked back at the ingredients, as expected they were all there to benefit their brains.
“… Mother, thank you I really appreciate those feelings of yours.”
“That’s okay, earlier I did mix up the salt an sugar, but this time I won’t! Anyways, do you think curry powder would be good? ah, if we put some on both sides wouldn’t that be great?!”
What is this, isn’t she just like any other mother, Kyouka thought as she watched Yaoyorozu’s mother.
“Yaomomo is really caring isn’t she?”
“mhmhm”
As Kyouka nodded in agreement, Yaoyorozu noticed their presence.
“Oh you two! what are you doing here?”
“I was just escorting them back to the lecture hall.” The butler appeared and interrupted with a gentle bow.
Wait what if the butler knew about the cookies before, why did he try to conceal it, Kyouka thought.
“Hey, those cookies from before, as expected they weren’t really good right?” Yaoyorozu whispered.
As expected Yaoyorozu is Yaoyorozu, she did not want to hurt her mother’s feelings.
What is this, aren’t they just a normal family? Kyouka smiles as her feelings began to ease up.
“…. it’s okay! the taste is a little unique, but eating it has made our head buzz with energy!”
“Yup, I guess this is the secret to studying!”
“Kaminary will definitely need to eat it all!”
Yaoyorozu’s eyes rounded at Kyouka’s and Ashido’s words, Yaoyorozu’s mother could hear their conversation which made her face light up with happiness.
“Anyways, we should hurry up and fry these! And let’s prepare a surprisingly big one for Kaminari.”
“That sounds great!” As Kyouka answered, Yaoyorozu’s mother stopped her and leaned against the oven.
Kyouka become self-conscious of her clothes again, and begin twisting her body around in discomfort.
I definitely shouldn’t have worn these clothes, Kyouka thought.
“As expected, this are some really amazing clothes.”
“huh?”
Kyouka couldn’t think of anything to say and just stared at Yaoyorozu’s mother in disbelief.
“Sorry for staring at you like that, a long time ago, a senpai of mine had a band and I joined also, and they used to wear the exact same thing, that’s why I couldn’t stop staring earlier.”
“But mother, did you not attend an all girls school?”
“Yes that’s right, but the senpai were really tomboyish, and I couldn’t help but join in too, they looked really good on me too! ahh this brings back memories.”
Just for a moment it looked like Yaoyorozu’s mother went back to the little school girl she was once before.
“…oh.” Kyouka felt a sense of disappointment in herself.
“Sorry Kyouka-san, did I make you feel bad?”
Kyouka smiles at the worried expression of Yaoyorozu.
“No, not at all, the opposite actually.”
“Opposite? really?”
“Yes, sorry for making you worry!”
It seemed like a miracle, Kyouka turns her head to the side to look at Yaoyorozu’s mother was still reminiscing about her past.
“Ah, that’s right! before I forget, we also have a cake prepared.” they pulled a massive cake out from the fridge as Kyouka and the rest stood and watched.
It was a beautifully decorated chocolate cake.
“wahhh it’s so pretty!”
“Did Yaomomo make this?!”
“Oh no, we asked our chef to do this, so I’m sure it’ll be guaranteed to taste good.” Yaoyorozu reasurred them with a hand on their shoulders.
“So let’s eat this cake and give studying one more try!”
“Yes! Let do this!”
Ashido couldn’t stop hopping up and down trying to get a glimpse at the decoration on the cake, Kyouka and Yaoyorozu turned to each other and smiled.
Yaoyorozu’s mother and their butler watched over their little flowers as they bloomed with a loving smile.
“Those guys, are they even studying?”
“It seems like they’re in a lot of trouble, especially Kaminari-san.”
“Definitely, he’s being a lazy slob.”
With the cake that was prepared, Kyouka and the girls made their way back to the lecture hall.
“Listen, lets scare them!” Ashido proposed as they opened the door slowly and quietly peeked inside, and to their surprise the guys seemed like they were having a rather serious conversation.
“The battle plan is called K…. and in just a moment, just a single moment, everything will be decided.”
“I don’t think sound would be a question… as expected this is something only you can think of.”
The unusually serious tone of Kaminari can be heard as Ojiro answers him.
“If it’s like this, shouldn’t we contact the supports department? The sound didn’t even come out of when the item arrived.”
“Even with the sound not coming out, you can’t deny how useful this is.”
Ojiro thought Kaminari’s proposal wasn’t such a bad idea.
This could be a really good countermeasure against the villains.
“…what the hell are they talking about? plan k?”
“A new costume?”
“What is this, it’s kinda of hard to enter with this kind of mood.” The girls were whispering amongst themselves, while Kaminari and the guys carried on with the conversation.
“Firstly, the issue of Sero and his tape, we have to make it soundless… and then mine and Sero’s timing, and then for destroying the evidence we’re going to need Ashido’s acid quirk.”
“Me?” She was surprised to hear her name and carried on watching in confusion.
Up until now, they’ve found out that Kaminari and Sero have been talking about using his quirk for something and then destroying the evidence.
ah, what if…
Kyouka notices that Kaminari is now brimming with confidence as he nods enthusiastically.
“Yosh! This is my ticket to the lodge camp, lets hope Plan K: Cheating goes well!”
“Haaaaaaaaaaa?! What are you talking about Kaminari-san!”
“Gehhhhhhhhh! Yaomomo?”
Without realising, Yaoyorozu has burst in and interrupted their conversation, the guys were shocked and their faces went pale.
They were planning on writing down the answers for the rest on Sero’s tape, they were planning on cheating!
Kyouka was actually amazed while Ashido was visibly angry with her cheeks puffed up.
“What is this about destroying evidence? I won’t be an accomplice in your cheating! That’s the worst!”
“You’re not just an idiot, you’re a huge idiot, Ojiro, Sero are you in on this too?”
“You have no shame.”
“Kaminari was pretty serious about this..he..”
As they were going about the conversation, Kaminari was trying to urge his appeal with teary eyes.
“You don’t understand, this is as much as I can do! Cheating is the only option I have left!”
Kaminari hangs his head and kneels in front of Yaoyorozu.
“Kaminari san, did you enter Yuuei by cheating?”
“n-no! Of course not! I just scraped a pass, that was too much of a grand exam!”
Kaminari was frantic, trying to make an appeal, searching for sympathy in Yaoyorozu’s eyes.
“If that’s the case, you should be able to do it this time around too, you’re a capable person… I believe in you.”
“Ya-Yayorozu senseiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!”
The warming kindness and affection of Yaoyorozu had melted Kaminari’s heart which had been iced over.
What is this..
Kyouka could not believe the farce that was developing before her etes, Kaminari had a complete change in heart as he wiped the tears from his eyes and hurried back to this desk.
“I’m going to do my best sensei!”
“Yes! That’s the spirit Kaminari san.”
“We’ll all do our best together guys!”
“Let’s do the test of courage at the lodge together!”
Once again everyone was united with the thought of attending the lodge together, they hurriedly went back to their studies.
Kyouka had already completed her own act of courage by accidentally biting into the cookie Yaoyorozu’s mother made, which she then threw into Kaminari’s mouth.
If only they waited a little longer, the delicious cake would have arrived.

LA Rooftop Bars & Restaurants Open Tonight added to Google Docs
LA Rooftop Bars & Restaurants Open Tonight
Unless you count that time in April when you had to scare a raccoon away from your chimney, you probably haven’t spent much time on rooftops lately. So pull up a (likely very brightly colored chair), order a spritz, and get ready for some views: Here are 13 rooftop bars and restaurants open right now, from Downtown LA and Hollywood to the Strip and Santa Monica.
Featured In The LA Socially Distant Summer Guide Everything you need to enjoy some semblance of summer. THE SPOTS  Margot $ $ $ $ Spanish ,  Mediterranean ,  Italian  in  Culver City $$$$ 8820 Washington Blvd
We know you’ve been wondering where you can go tonight to drink gin and tonics while watching trains go by. OK, maybe that’s just us, but Margot is still a great place to hang out. This Culver City rooftop spot on top of the Platform - basically at eye level with the elevated Culver Metro station - is back open for dinner. The Mediterranean food is pretty good, the cocktails are excellent, and plus… those trains. Reserve here.
 Pilot $$$$ 1016 S Broadway, Rooftop
Pilot is the rooftop restaurant at Downtown LA’s Hoxton Hotel. They’ve got an open-air dining room where they serve pizzas, pasta, cocktails, and wine, and even have a really solid late-night menu featuring shared antipasto plates, shrimp cocktail, and more. Reserve here.
 Upstairs Rooftop Lounge at Ace Hotel $ $ $ $ Downtown LA $$$$ 933 S Broadway
The Ace Hotel in DTLA has one of biggest rooftops in the city - and they’re back open with an all-day menu including tacos, charcuterie, and other small plates that are ideal to go along with their cocktail list. There’s also a pool up there, though we suspect no one’s going to be getting in any time soon. Then again, this is the Ace ... Reservation only.
 Harriet's Rooftop $$$$ 8490 W Sunset Blvd
If you’re looking for a place in Weho with excellent views, rooftop spot Harriet’s has reopened on the Sunset Strip. The food and cocktails are decent, but what you’re really doing there is checking out what kind of view you’d have from a $3 million house in the Hills. Call for reservations - (424) 281-1860.
LA Guide: LA Restaurants Where You Can Eat Outside Today Read  Mama Shelter $ $ $ $ Hollywood $$$$ 6500 Selma Ave
Hollywood’s Mama Shelter is one of the most fun rooftops in the city - they’ve got great cocktails, a solid wine list, and a surprisingly bearable rooftop brunch crowd. Keep in mind that capacity is limited, and they don’t take reservations.
High Rooftop Bar at Hotel Erwin $ $ $ $ Venice $$$$ 1697 Pacific Ave
There aren’t a lot of rooftops on the Westside where we like to spend our time, but High Lounge is the exception to that rule. This spot above the Hotel Erwin has lots of private places to sit with your partner or a small group - especially now with distancing rules in effect - and standard bar fare like pizza slices, grilled chicken sandwiches, and burgers. Also (and we almost hate to mention this), they’ve got weekend bottomless mimosas. Do what you will with that information. Reservations here.
 Perch $ $ $ $ French  in  Downtown LA $$$$ 448 S Hill St
Perch in Downtown LA has two separate patios on the 15th and 16th floors of a building overlooking Pershing Square, where you can sit amidst fire pits, listen to jazz, and eat dinner from their French-leaning menu. They’re requiring that every guest orders an entree, so make sure you show up hungry enough for a steak frites or chicken supreme plate. Reservations can be made here.
 Broken Shaker $ $ $ $ Downtown LA $$$$ 416 W 8th St
Broken Shaker in Downtown LA has everything you want in a rooftop: Great views, a pool to stare at, and some really excellent cocktails. The food menu is a bit all over the place, but if you get the crispy, twice-fried chicken wings, you won’t be disappointed. Plus, what you’re really there for are the tiki-themed drinks, especially the Sunsetland - guava, coconut cream, and pineapple juice, with your choice of booze.
 Elephante $ $ $ $ Italian  in  Santa Monica $$$$ 1332 2nd St
This Westside spot is one of the most popular around. Right by the Promenade in Santa Monica, Elephante draws a serious crowd of aspiring TikTok celebrities. But it’s also got one of the best views in Santa Monica, plus, one big secret: The pizzas here are seriously good. Reservations here.
 Catch $ $ $ $ Seafood ,  Raw Bar  in  West Hollywood $$$$ 8715 Melrose Ave
Weho spot Catch is open, if you’re looking to hang out both on a rooftop and underneath a giant tree. They’ve got their normal menu, which means sushi rolls and filet mignon skewers, along with lots of vegan options. Reservations available on their website.
Terra $$$$ 10250 Santa Monica Blvd
Eataly’s rooftop bar and restaurant Terra is open for Italian patio dining on top of the Westfield Century City. They’re serving a huge menu that has some pretty excellent handmade pastas and wood-grilled Italian classics, like branzino, slow-grilled eggplant, and prime beef with parmesan. Reservations required.
Rooftop By JG $$$$ 9850 Wilshire Blvd
The Rooftop By JG is back open at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills. Focus on the cocktails - we like the ginger margarita - which are ideal for drinking next to a pool and pretending the world isn’t on fire.
 E.P. & L.P. $ $ $ $ Fusion  in  West Hollywood $$$$ 603 N LA Cienega Blvd
Popular Weho spot EP & LP is open again with an all-new menu, a Southeast Asian-inspired selection of small plates that are all $8-$15, like salt-and-pepper calamari, crab curry buns, and twice-cooked BBQ pork belly. They’ve also added plexiglass barriers, making the whole situation here a lot more low-key than it was before.

London's Most Lively Eats
Bunga Bunga: Eat with Berlusconi Want your dinner with a little more energy? Head to one of these lively spots.  Lahore Kebab House It was a nephew of Mohammad Tayyab (who founded Tayyabs restaurant in Whitechapel) that was responsible for bringing us this similarly-minded outpost around the corner more than 40 years ago, and much more recently a branch has opened in Streatham too. As at Tayyabs, the grilled lamb chops are legendary and an absolute must-try: charred on the outside, gently spiced and a tender pink within. Stick with lamb in the form of juicy minced kebabs or a dark, richly-spiced dry curry, but there’s little to go wrong with the chicken, fish or vegetable options either. You just might have to ignore the big screens if Bollywood hits aren’t your thing. 2 Umberston Street, E1 Source instagram Tayyabs There’s not much one could consider 'calm' about a visit to Tayyabs, but that’s all part of the fun. This east London grill is famous for a reason -- the freshness and punch of their food remains unmatched. Piles of sizzling lamb chops and glistening, herb-flecked seekh kebabs keep people coming back for more. Everything is good including ghee slicked bread and their cracking tinda masala, a curry of tiny pumpkins. 83-89 Fieldgate Street, E1 Source tayyabs Source Tayyabs Bunga Bunga This monument to excess is well worth a visit on a weekday evening. But go for Saturday brunch to see the restaurant at its height of messy decadence -- hitting up unlimited pizza and prosecco and the karaoke stage all by 1.30pm feels like a level of bravado even Berlusconi would approve of.  37 Battersea Bridge Road, SW11 Source Bunga Bunga Brasserie Zédel Hidden behind the hustle of Picadilly Circus, this is more than French-themed, it's the full Grand Brasserie. The main restaurant's all high ceilings, marble pillars and golden detailing, and the standalone cabaret room and cocktail bar are on the same art deco and beaux arts lines. The menu's surprisingly good value despite all that grandeur, doing nostalgic French dishes. Go for onion soup and Toulouse cassoulet -- a slow-cooked sausage casserole -- just like maman used to make.  20 Sherwood Street, W1F Flesh & Buns Flesh and Buns basically serves gussied up South East Asian junk food in a very loud basement in Covent Garden. If you don't like shouting at your friends over dinner, it's best avoided but with those who've appetite for chaos, it works. Plates of steamed buns, Korean fried chicken toasted marshmallows on sticks are all popular here... served to a sound track of music and shouting.  41 Earlham Street, WC2H Source Flesh & Buns Source Flesh & Buns Ippudo London Entering Ippudo can be a shock for the uninitiated as staff greet in the traditional manner by shouting "irrashaimase!" which translates, roughly, as "welcome". You'll either find this fun, or highly irritating. There are lots of other dishes on the menu aside from ramen here, so you can draw the experience out a little should you wish. The ramen is simpler in style than many in town, with limited toppings and additions. Purists may love it.  3 Central St Giles Piazza, St Giles High Street, WC2H Source Ippudo London Source Ippudo London Berber & Q This isn't so much lively as loud and it's packed to the rafters every night with diners keen to hoover up whole grilled cauilfower slathered with tahini and rose petals, and giant platters of flame licked meat. The flavours are as big as the buzz, then and you'll leave feeling like Berber & Q has picked you up and given you a good shake by the scruff of the neck. Despite feeling part nightclub, part restaurant, the cooking here is clever -- don't miss the hand pulled lamb with flatbreads, pickles more sauces and sprinkles than you can shake a hearing aid at.  Arch 338 Acton Mews, E8 Source berberandq Source berberandq Tacos El Pastor Tacos el Pastor, under an archway in Borough Market, comes from the Hart brothers -- restaurateurs who brought us the spectacular Barrafina. This time they've looked to Mexico. Fresh corn is nixtamilised on site to produce corn tortillas, and taco toppings come traditional, with al pastor, carnitas and fish options on the menu. Everything about this place reminds us of Mexico, from the vivid, sun-soaked salsas and humming chillies to the soily addictove hum of corn and the buzz of the canteen, festoon lights swinging. It's so much fun to sit here, get your hands messy building tacos, sink a few mezcals and do some serious people watching.
