Fun Fact
BuzzFeed published a report claiming that Tumblr was utilized as a distribution channel for Russian agents to influence American voting habits during the 2016 presidential election in Feb 2018.
I'm knitting the mulberry knit ear warmer. I'm using size U.S. 10 (6mm) 14" straight needles. I'm using Knit Picks Brava Bulky in the color Peapod. I cast on 22 stitched instead of 20. The extra two stitches are for the selvedge edge. The pattern is a double seed stitch, or Irish moss stitch. I'll sew it together so that it forms a twist.
Winter is coming ... so you better buy an ear warmer.
There are two color options:
Dark green with blue, yellow, and black
Teal/aqua blue with white
They're about 22 inches around when laying flat, with a good amount of stretch. They're crocheted out of a 50/50 wool/acrylic blend, for $18 each.
They're available in my Etsy shop, WidgetsApparel. There are links to the shop in my blog description and my pinned post, as well as in the notes of this post.

One more craft I want to try with my crochet club kiddos: ear warmer.
I had this color and thought it looked vaguely frog-ish.
Simple pattern: chain a little smaller than circumference of the head, then double crochet in the round. I added half circle eye dodads, and a black knot for the pupil.
Beautiful cabled ear warmers! One of my favorite patterns for chunky yarn, especially when I don’t have enough left to make a full hat. Keeps me nice and cozy all winter long
