So I’ve been thinking about Pokémon today, as well as Pokémon in the Layton universe just because, and it got me thinking, there are Ghost Pokémon who were originally human before dying and being turned into Pokémon, yeah? So you could potentially have dead characters exist as Pokémon. But more along my thought process, I was thinking about how this can also include children. And how Des has a dead daughter

Imagine if in a Pokémon au, Des just had a Ghost Pokémon who’s his dead daughter reborn. Like a Hisuian Zorua or something, considering the circumstances and all

That’d be kind of messed up

#like he just has a ghost Pokemon named after his daughter and he treats her as if she was actually his child #and no one is sure whether he’s just unhealthily coping or the pokemon actually is his daughter #or the Pokemon’s tricking him into thinking that and he just chooses to believe it out of grief #in any circumstance I’m fairly certain people would be concerned #but yeah #if anyone wants to make a Pokemon/Layton au #here’s a possibility for you #I just think it would be interesting #professor layton #pokemon #desmond sycamore #hisuian zorua #au idea #random stuff #edit: okay I realize now that Hisuian Zorua are likely ghosts of normal Zorua and not human children #but I already like this idea so I’m choosing to stick with what I was thinking #(I may or may not have concocted a scenario where Des’s daughter lives as a Hisuian Zorua eventually becoming a Zoroark #and as a Zoroark she disguises herself as human and she and Des pretend she’s a normal human #and when Des becomes Descole she goes back to her Zoroark form and is basically his partner Pokémon #may or my not be trying to concoct scenarios where this situation causes problems #like Des being terrified whenever she’s hurt in battle or something #or perhaps someone (Targent even) creates a Pokémon stealing or mind control device and this causes panic for them) #(but anyways)
