Aiko’s thoughts on Blade Maiden

Azusa

“Ah Furukawa-san. We hardly spoke during the last rap battle but I recall seeing her in the halls clearly distressed by something-!” He frowns “I don’t recall what it was though- or if she even told me”

“Kirumi speaks highly of her- she’s been spending more time with the members of blade maiden as of late. I shouldn’t be surprised though considering she’s married to one of them”

Fleuret

“I knew her boyfriend back when I was in the navy- he landed a good catch with Oshiro-san” he smiles “I’ll have to pay a visit to the museum she works at sometime- though I’m sure I’ll look out of place”

Eldrid

He roars with laughter upon seeing her picture

“Oh she’s fun- when I found out that her and Kirumi were an item I dragged her to club nova one night. As her older brother I well…I wanted to make sure she was the right girl for Kirumi. I gave the whole big brother speech about hurting her if she hurt my sister…and she decked me in the nose”

He laughs

“Serves me right for threatening a damn MMA champ- I knew right then and there that she was perfectly fine weirdly enough. Though I didn’t voice that opinion until after the bleeding stopped”

Blade Maiden

“An interesting group of ladies to say the least- part of me hopes we get a rematch with them someday! I’m eager to kick their ass this time”

The day was coming to an end, but the celebration for one 'Kanra Akemi' wasn't over yet. The doorbell to her residence rang out for perhaps the millionth time today, signaling that someone was here to wish her a 'happy birthday' or drop something off. ...Or perhaps all three. The matriarch of the household, Yuriko Kuromiya, looked out the door and sighed at what was in front of her.

"Kanra!" She called, making the birthday girl appear in front of her. Without a word, the mother pointed to a bunch of boxes and bags placed in front of the doorway.

"Yay, more presents!" Kanra exclaimed, as she easily picked up everything and brought them all into the living room. Without a word, she began opening up the tallest of the group first. Inside was a pair of boxing equipment, no doubt sent by a certain MMA fighter from Taitō. Pulling it out, it looked somewhat like the type that Yuriko had in her gym when she made her and Kaoru practice. Although this equipment was in much better shape.

Pulling it out, she found a letter taped onto the bag.

Happy birthday, kiddo! Hope you're having a good one! I would have been there in person, but MMA schedules can be a pain sometimes. Anyway, I bought this boxing equipment for you so you can practice on your own on days when we don't train together. And don't worry if you bust the bag or something. It's insured, so if you break it, it can easily be replaced. So go nuts, girl! Again, hope you're having a good one! See you next time for practice!

P.S. Don't forget those music discs at the bottom of the box. One of them is from Azusa and the other's from Fleuret. I'm sure you can guess which is from who.

Looking back in the box, Kanra saw two CDs at the bottom: one for meditation and the other full of classical songs.

"These are interesting," Yuriko said, looking at the discs, mainly the one on meditation. "I'll have be to sure to use this one for after training."

Kanra was too busy looking at the boxing gloves and heavy bag to respond, eager to try them out. She made a mental note not to go too crazy with them since they were a gift from her trainer. Putting them to the side, she turned to her other gifts. Opening one of her boxes, she looked as it contained a bunch of dresses, all of which fit her aesthetic. Pulling them all out, she found three more items: a makeup kit, which looked to be quite expensive, an American rock CD, and a cake covered with dozens of fruits. It was covered with thin wrapping to prevent any of the cream from getting off of it onto the outfits.

On top of one of the dresses, was another letter from a certain American model, which read:

Happy birthday, Kanra! Hope you are, like, having a good one! I went clothes shopping in Harajuku the other day and I, like, saw these outfits which automatically made me think of you. Thankfully, it was your birthday, which gave me, like, an excuse to buy them. I managed to get Acey and Rashaad to get you some gifts too. Rashaad was easy to convince, but Acey... let's just say he can be, like, verrrry stubborn! But he managed to get you something, at least! Hope you are having a good one! Make sure you try those outfits out! They weren't, like, cheap! Luv you!

“They aren’t that bad are they?” Kaoru questioned touching her face.

“I don't know Kaoru when was the last time you slept?”

“Uhhhh…. Thursday?”

“Kaoru that was six days ago” Yuriko admonished

“Evelyn-san was right you do need this.” Kanra opened the makeup kit walking forward to the lavender-haired inventor intending on covering the dark circle on Kaoru's face.

“Oi Kanra! Yuriko stop her!” Kaoru begged running from the pink-haired teen who began chasing after her.

“Hmmm? I could've sworn I heard someone say something.”

“Betrayed and abandoned by my own mother!”

“We wouldn't have to do this if you go more sleep Kaoru!”

White Wedding - Marriage Ceremony between Eldrid & Kirumi

[location- Taitō City]

To say she was nervous was an understatement- Kirumi didn’t even have the words to describe what she was feeling right now.

She never thought in a million years that Eldrid would ever feel the same way for her- it all felt like a dream come true after that fateful night at the stadium.

After they started dating, Kirumi made a habit of going to every MMA fight Eldrid was in- always in the front row cheering on the woman she grew to love so damn much!

It was after one of those matches…Kirumi decided to pop the question.

Aiko had been the one to push her to buy the ring. He relented when she finally did buy a ring, opting to give her a friendly pat on the back as they walked out of the jewelry shop.

“you got this- there’s no way she’d say no”

He was right- she didn’t say no.

The proposal wasn’t anything grand or spectacular- it was fairly simple to avoid Kirumi getting cold feet.

On a cool autumn evening in a small Takatsuki bar…Kirumi got down on one knee and asked the question that would change both of their lives.

All those events led up to right now, the day that the two were to be wed.

Yukiko: Ki-chan you look stunning

Her brothers fiancé was her maid of honor- really she was one of the first people to find out about the wedding even happening.

Kirumi:A-Ah Yu-san…thank you

Dressed from head to toe in pure white- she practically glowed! Part of her wondered how Eldrid felt about all of this…she hadn’t seen the Viking at all today.

[In her own wedding room, Eldrid was practically a bundle of nerves. Though she told herself she wasn't nervous, she knew that she was lying, both to her friends and herself. She had been in multiple MMA matches, fought tons of opponents stronger than her, once stared death in the face, and hadn't been scared once.]

[Yet, the thought of actually marrying someone was turning her nerves inside out. She loved Kirumi; really, she did. Though she didn't particularly care for her company (i.e. Ryoko), she still accepted them. But when she recalled how Kirumi had brought her to a secret place in Takatsuki that no one but her knew about it, and got down on one knee with a ring in her hand asking for her hand in marriage, well... suffice to say Eldrid was shocked.]

[Of course, she accepted. Why wouldn't she? A lifetime of happiness with a girl who makes her happy, far happier than any other woman the MMA champion had ever been with? She'd be a fool to refuse! As soon as she got home that night, she revealed the news to her siblings, as well as her teammates. Needless to say, all of them were overjoyed and happy for her.]

[Word soon spread throughout the cities of Taitō, Takatsuki, and soon the rest of Japan. The MMA World Heavyweight champion was actually getting married! The news spread like wildfire. Eldrid groaned when she was hit by reporters the following week. It didn't help that they also went after her friends and family, and those of Kirumi's as well. Eldrid remembered her love complaining about how she had been hounded by cameramen and reporters every time she or her brother stepped outside, which prompted Eldrid and Aiko both to threaten anyone who came within 10 feet of Kirumi with a camera. How did all this happen you ask?]

[Apparently, Eldrid's loudmouthed older brother had spilled the beans, and now almost everyone and their mother knew about her and Kirumi's love and marriage. Because of how popular she was, only a select few people were allowed inside the church. Only Eldrid's and Kirumi's family and closest friends were allowed to be present. Everyone else was going to have to wait outside or watch it on T.V.]

[The wedding date was set, and now, here she was, sitting in her waiting room until the ceremony started. She hadn't seen her soon-to-be wife all day, which annoyed her. Why was it necessary to keep the groom and bride separate on their wedding day anyway? She sighed as she looked at herself in the mirror again. She was literally dressed to the nines in a spectacular suit her brothers and friends had chosen for her. Truthfully, she was glad. She never cared much for dresses, even when she was young. She much preferred pants and a shirt over a blouse or a dress any day.]

[She was brought out of her thoughts as the door to her room was knocked, and looked as her younger brother, Yuma, walked in, wearing a suit of his own. He had asked (more like, begged Eldrid) to be the 'Best Man' at the wedding. Surprisingly, he did a fair amount of job putting everything together, though Eldrid knew he was exhausted with all the work he had to do to prepare for the wedding.]

Yuma: *Smiling at his older sister* It's almost time, Big Sis? You ready?

Eldrid: *Sighs* I'd be lying if I said 'yes'.

Yuma: *Still smiling* Feeling nervous?

Eldrid: *Sighs again* Is it that obvious?

Yuma: Pretty much. *Reaches up to touch his big sister's shoulders* You'll be fine, big sis. I've met Kirumi, and she's a lovely and beautiful girl. You two will make each other very happy.

Eldrid: *Smiles at her younger bro, rubbing his head* Thanks, little bro.

Yuma: *Smiles* You ready now?

Eldrid: *Sighs again, but smiling this time* Yeah, I think so.

Yuma: Great, see you out there!

[The groom looked as her younger brother scampered out of the room. Looking back at the mirror, the MMA champion inhaled and exhaled one last time, before looking back at herself with a look of determination. Slapping both sides of her face, which she normally did before a big fight, the MMA champion smiled to herself and turned around to the entrance.]

Eldrid: Let's do this!

[Opening the door, the MMA champion walked out of the room to the recession, ignoring the huge ringing in her ears with each step she took. She wondered if Kirumi was feeling the same way...]

[Back in her own room Kirumi mentally prepared herself. Her brother had arrived moments prior to escort Kirumi to the recession in place of her father]

Aiko:You good sis?

[Kirumi nodded slowly]

Kirumi: Just…a bit nervous that’s all *she giggled* It all feels like a dream…still can’t believe I’m getting married before you!

[Aiko let’s out a laugh as they both head out to join the recession]

Aiko:Wedding planning isn’t my forte and I’m pretty sure Yuki is having a debate with someone over our own wedding cake…but don’t worry about me!

[He smiles]

Aiko:This is your special day…I’ve never been more happy for you

Kirumi:T-thank you Ai-kun!

[It felt like the walk to the aisle took ages- in reality it was only a few minutes. Kirumi wanted nothing more than to immediately run to Eldrid and give her a big hug…but she instead made her way down the aisle like she was expected to]

[Parting ways with Aiko…she took her place beside Eldrid. A bright smile on her face as she did so]

Kirumi:*whispering* You look stunning

[Eldrid sighed as she was standing by the altar with the priest, eagerly, yet still patiently waiting for her bride-to-be. There weren't many priests these days that usually would oversee a gay marriage. The fact that so many people had issues with people of the same sex getting married made her roll her eyes. What difference does it make when two people are in love?]

[Eldrid snapped out of her thoughts as she saw the doors to the building open and through them was Aiko who was walking beside his sister, his family, and Kirumi, draped in pure white as the wedding gown obscured her facial features. Normally, this was usually the father's position, but since he wasn't present, Aiko gladly took over the role. Everyone's face had a smile with a few tears rolling down as the bride walked slowly forward. Even stubborn and stoic Ryoko had a passive look on her face, as even she couldn't deny how happy and sincere her friend looked.]

[Upon reaching the altar, Aiko smiled at both the bride and groom before he took his seat on the first row. Lifting the veil from her face, Eldrid took sight of her lover's face. A small blush appeared on her cheeks as Kirumi complimented her. The two then turned their attention to the priest who began speaking.]

Priest: We are all gathered here today to celebrate the momentous and joyous occasion of two lovers who have decided to take the final leap of love as they cement their adoration and care for each other and become one. For there is no greater amount of force in this world than that of two people who love and care for each other so much that they would dedicate their time to making sure each other is happy.

Priest: *Looks to Eldrid* Do you, Ms. Eldrid Iwasaki, take Ms. Kirumi Mayeda as your lawfully-wedded wife, and vow to love and protect her in all that you do, until death do you part?

Eldrid: *Takes a deep breath, smiling* I do.

Priest: *Looks at Kirumi* And do you, Ms. Kirumi Mayeda, take Ms. Eldrid Iwasaki as your lawfully-wedded spouse, and vow to love and protect her in all that you do, until death do you part?

[It all felt like a dream- the wedding she always wanted ever since she was a little girl. For the longest time, she was terrified of the prospect of even falling in love…after all she watched her own family slowly tear itself apart! Sure, Aiko tried his best to keep her out of the way of harm but he couldn’t be there for everything!]

[Sure there was going to be a long road to recovery for the voice actress- life hadn’t been kind to her! When Eldrid came along…she made the bad days more bearable. She made Kirumi feel loved and accepted…but most importantly she made Kirumi want to improve herself. The MMA fighter made her want to break out of her shell and express herself instead of bottling her emotions up]

Kirumi: I do.

[She looked back to Eldrid with a look of pure adoration and a huge smile to go along with it. For a moment it seemed like the whole world disappeared…like it was just the two of them standing on the altar]

Priest: *Smiling at the two* With the approval of these two loving souls, the union is now complete. The two of you are now one, and so shall your lives be. I now pronounce the both of you as a couple. *Looks to Eldrid* You may now kiss your bride.

Eldrid: *Smiles* With pleasure.

[Placing her left hand on the chin of her new wife, the MMA champion leaned down and gave a romantic and passionate kiss to the younger Mayeda sibling on the lips, causing everyone in the building to clap loudly and passionately. After a second or two, Eldrid released her wife, and looked out at the crowd, as everyone was clapping. She saw her brothers, all three with tears in their eyes, happy for their only sister.]

[Leaning down, she placed one of her hands on Kirumi's back and the other on the back of her legs, scooping her up in a bridal position.]

Eldrid: *Looks at Kirumi* This is what we're supposed to do, right?

[Not waiting for an answer, Eldrid carried her new wife away from the altar and down the walkway as everyone in attendance continued cheering for the two of them.]

[Everyone could probably see how Kirumi’s face was redder than a tomato right now. Carefully she wrapped her arms around Eldrid to support herself as her new wife carried her away from the altar as the crowd looked on and cheered]

Lillian's Thoughts on Taitō Division

Azusa Furukawa

"Azusa Furukawa, also known as 'Onna-Musha'. Subject is the daughter of Issei Furukawa, a former swordsman and dojo instructor who has fallen ill due to his wife's disappearance. Subject has since taken over control of the dojo, and has began teaching her father's students, whilst also taking care of him, greatly monitoring his health and well-being. Observation shows that her dojo is not doing well due to the fact that Chuohku has forbade her from accepting any new students. The reason for this is unknown, though it may be Otome-sama's way of keeping the 'No Weapons' law in effect. That, unfortunately, has not stopped Subject Azusa, who carries around a wooden kendo stick to compensate.

"Subject, much like her father, is stern and disciplined, whilst also maintaining a composed and grateful air about her. She is well-liked, not only by her students, but also by many of the residents of Taitō City. Subject has a well-hidden hatred for Chuohku, whom she believes is behind the disappearance of her mother. As such, she has rallied Taitō City behind her as she makes her way through the D.R.B., in hopes of getting revenge against us. She is considered dangerous, and as such, action may have to be taken against her."

Fleuret Oshiro

"Fleuret Oshiro, also known as 'Crusader'. Subject is the head curator for the Tokyo National Museum in Taitō, and as such, possesses a wide range of knowledge regarding many of the pieces that are displayed throughout the museum. She is a good friend of Subject Azusa, the two having met and known one another since high school. As such, she accepted Azusa's offer of joining her team in the D.R.B. when the invitation was sent to Subject Azusa.

"Subject counts the legendary figure, King Arthur, as one of her ancestors. As such, both she and her family place honor on a very high scale, and try to live their lives as just and honorable as they can. Personal opinion states that subject needs to learn that the concept of 'honor' varies between people, and that in this day and age, that concept is all but buried. Besides that, subject is also well-known for her relationship with Subject Rio Busujima of Yokohama. Time will tell if this relationship may help or hinder Chuohku."

Eldrid Iwasaki

"Eldrid Iwasaki, also known as 'Valkyrie'. Subject is famous, not only throughout her city of Taitō, but also throughout Japan as being the current and longest-reigning MMA champion. Despite being the third member, subject is wholly considered to be the face of the Taitō Division team. Subject is a good friend of Subject Azusa, whom she claims helped 'save her from herself'. And despite their frequent quarrels and arguments, she and Subject Fleuret still get along well with each other.

"Much like Subject Fleuret, subject places a concept, pride, on a very high pedestal. This may stem from the fact that her life up until now has been difficult, what with her mother's passing when she was young, her father's abusive behavior toward her and her siblings, as well as her younger brother's attack by a friend of hers. Subject cares deeply for her friends and family, and will risk her life to defend both. She is considered very dangerous when angered, and thus caution should be used when dealing with her."

Blade Maiden

"Taitō Division, Blade Maiden, are, without a doubt, a very powerful and popular team in the D.R.B. Though they have had only one battle thus far, they still are considered to be the favorites among the populace for winning. All three women seem to have very strong ancestral ties, stemming from famous warrior groups, such as: Samurai of Japan, knights of France, and Vikings of Norway and Sweden. All three strive to their best not to bring disgrace to any of their ancestors, which makes them dangerous in their own right.

"Confrontation with the group seems likely. If it is initiated, dealing with Subject Azusa first may be the best course of action due to her rap ability. If not her, then Subject Eldrid should be the next opponent, as she functions as the group's support and attack. Subject Fleuret should be dealt with last, due to the nature of her ability protecting her from an, otherwise, fatal attack.

"I think I know her. She's the woman who's in charge of one of the few remaining dojos here in Japan, right? I've honestly never been a big fan of weaponry. My hands and feet are all I need to defend myself. And truthfully, its kind of surprising to see someone still wielding a sword in this day and age, especially since Chuohku banned the use of weaponry. I know there's Katsumi-chan over in Nerima, but hers is more for sport, isn't it? But anyway, I hear she's trying her hardest to keep her dojo open despite Chuohku working hard to take it away. I wish her the best of luck."

Fleuret Oshiro

"I remember her. Our class took a trip to the Tokyo National Museum, and she was the one who was giving us a tour. Truthfully, I was surprised. I'd heard that the curator was a French woman, but I didn't think it was true. Still, she was very knowledgeable about a lot of the stuff there. It was a good experience."

Eldrid Iwasaki

"It's kinda hard not to know who this woman is. Even if you aren't a fan of MMA, you have to have heard of Eldrid "The Valkyrie" Iwasaki, at least once in your life. I'm still a bit surprised that I actually managed to get to do a collab with her! Her rapping is just the same as her skills in the ring: deadly!

"Honestly, after seeing her tear people up, I've thought about trying my hand at MMA. But I always just brush it off as wishful thinking. I like fighting underground. There are a lot less rules than there are MMA. Besides, I don't fight for fame or accolades. But still, she has my respect for doing what she does. I'd like to challenge her, but I don't think I'd even be competition to her. ...But I have to wonder who would win between her and Vito..."

Blade Maiden

"'Blade Maiden'. A fitting name for all three of these women. From what I hear, they all hail from proud ancestry backgrounds. I kinda envy them. At least they know something about their families. I can't even put a picture to any of my parents' faces. ...But besides that, I'm really looking forward to seeing more of them in the D.R.B."

“Oshiro? Ah, I think I had some notes about her back when I had that job on Rio Mason B-Busujima… Urgh, I’m getting the jitters just thinking about his forest territory. "Takumi has told me much about the Furukawas. They seem to be a prestigious family descending from the time of the Samurai. I'm surprised my family has no history of interactions with them. But then again, we were always a reclusive people, who didn't really see the point in making friendships." He looks away, mumbling something under his breath. "They may have been the reason we were wiped out so easily..."

He looks back at the screen. "In any case, I hear she is joining the tournament to preserve her family's dojo, which is a noble goal, I'll admit. Despite the fact that swords are no longer as popular as they once were, keeping one's sword arm sharp is a wise thing to do."

Fleuret Oshiro

"I'm not acquainted with Oshiro-san, but I have visited the Tokyo Museum on occasion. It is truly a wonderous place with a lot of history inside of it. ...Perhaps I should commission the head of the Academy to think about taking the entire student body on a trip there as a class project."

Eldrid Iwasaki

"I've heard a lot about Iwasaki-san, mainly her fighting career. Granted, I don't keep up with MMA, nor am I a fan of it. But I have seen a few of her matches when I was watching it with Takumi-san. I have to admit, I find the mass array of martial arts that are present within the organization to be quite fascinating."

"It's not surprising that this group has come together. All of them hail from proud and prestigious bloodlines. I have to wonder what my ancestors would think if they could see my family now... "I seen her back when I was still living with the homeless in Ueno. She always stood out because of the katana on her waist. I thought it was odd that she still carried a sword around, but a part of me actually thought it was cool. I haven't seen her since I left, but from what I hear the government's been giving her no end of trouble. But then again, what else is new with those guys? I hope she comes out on top."

Fleuret Oshiro

"I remember Ming dragged me and Tasuku with her when we went on a "field trip" with her students to the museum. This woman was there giving the tour. I know the kids and Ming enjoyed it (which is why I think she chose it), but it was soooo boring listening to the woman drone on and on about paintings and such. Don't get me wrong. She obviously enjoys what she does, but I think I'll pass on anymore trips there. I'm liable to fall asleep standing up, which I've done before."

Eldrid Iwasaki

"Wow... "The Valkyrie", herself. I watch her fights on TV all the time. Granted, I'm not a big MMA fan like Tasuku is. In fact, I only started watching it cause it was the only thing on on TV one day. But Tasuku showed me one of her matches, and needless to say, I was hooked. I wish I could do what she does, but knowing me, I'd probably get my ass handed to me in the first round..."

"I don't know about the French lady, but overall, this team seems badass. I hear they are all descended from warrior lines, which is no surprise. I've seen them in action, and they are awesome! If we go up against them, we'd better pull out all the stops."

Age 0: Born to Kyomi and Ryuji Mayeda

Mother walks out on them

Age 5:Begins helping her brother around the house more

Has to fend for herself from time to time when Aiko gets put in the hospital

Age 6: Falls in love with video games- her favorite series of all time is a game series called “Idol Travesty” though a sequel for it wouldn’t come out till she was much older

She begins to learn impressions at this time- even studying different accents

Age 7: Begins to study really hard to avoid her father getting angry at her

Age 10: Befriends a boy in her class who’s related to the teacher

Age 12: Lured to the classroom by the boy during lunch time Kirumi is left alone with her teacher

Her brother and his friend walks in on the teacher in the process of assaulting her

Her brother is expelled and Kirumi is transferred to a different school

Age 13 -16: Not much happened to her though she did befriend the daughter of the lead developer of “Idol Travesty”

Age 17: She finds out Idol Travesty is getting a long awaited sequel and has 1 year to prepare for auditions

Age 18: Successfully auditions for the game and gets the role of “Sayaka Mikotoba”- the main character of the story

Age 20: One of her friends gets her into MMA fights

Age 21: Joins Shattered Moon- meets Eldrid Iwasaki during the battle against Taito and Takatsuki and the two begin dating and later get married

Her career begins to skyrocket at the time

Age 22 (Present): After finding the body of Ryoko Minamoto she begins therapy to cope
