Hmshjfshdf there's a billion fic ideas in my head right now
And by a billion I mean like 6 or 7 but numbers are relative
This will involve my ESO characters Zanri (25, right), who is a Dominion agent, and Vani (22, left), your typical "benevolent mercenary" if there's even a word for it. They're step siblings, currently living in Summerset.
Tumblr media
Vani hasn't seen her actual brother in years, always assuming he's either dead or sold to slavery. When Zanri agrees to be her step brother, it has taken some load off her mind, especially seeing that Zanri is similar in appearance according to her. Although lately, her actual brother has been appearing in her dreams for some reason.
Zanri receives an urgent task from Queen Ayrenn, a covert mission somewhere in Valenwood/Northern Elsweyr (I haven't decided) involving a conflict between Aldmeri Dominion and a rogue mage group, Vani catches wind of it and wishes to tag along, on the off chance she could find her actual brother since he used to study magic. Zanri refuses since Vani is not a certified Dominion agent. Razum-Dar catches them while they were arguing, and offers her a temporary place in the Dominion. Admittedly this bit is oversimplified just so you will understand the gist of it.
This will sound a hell lot of weird but I plan to "steal" some lore from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and incorporate it into Elder Scrolls world, by adapting the locations, characters and technology to the world of ESO as I best see fit. I've always had a thing for military drama/thriller, and the lore and character dialogues of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) are such *chefs kiss*
(I didn't play the game, only watched playthroughs of it because my PC is potato. If you wanna watch I recommend the full gameplay by OriginalHuman, a former British marine)
I won't copy the entire thing, only some of my most favorite moments. Notably the single player missions like The Embassy, Highway of Death, Old Comrades and Going Dark, although when I do get to write, it won't follow that particular order.

An Attempt to Find Alfiq Conjurer Counter-Play in TESL
The latest article is an attempt to find Alfiq-Conjurer counterplay. Go all-in on aggro is certainly an option. But midrange and control decks still need to deal with the card. There are quite a few options...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alfiq Conjurer undoubtedly is the most powerful card in the Moons of Elsweyr expansion. Midrange decks are back on the ladder. Midrange battlemage is at tier 1 and variations of that deck in tri-color dominate the meta. What can yellow-based decks in crusader, monk, spellsword or Empire do to compete? Before we attempt to find counter-play options, let’s briefly look at why Alfiq Conjureris so…

I did it I went back in eso and Raz is even better than I remembered. And there are so many other charming characters too. See I play Guild Wars 2 mainly and it's very fun but the writers recently butchered a bunch of the characters I used to like. So while gameplay wise I still prefer gw2, eso is so much better with its story and like... you can't beat Raz. In gw2 the character I feel like could have competed with him (Canach) got 1. a change in VA and 2. a terrible switch in personality that just sucks. So Raz wins! (Sorry I don't mean to rant about that. This is a Raz praise post I love him) anyway I'm enjoying eso a lot more than I thought I would. Might get High Isle on discount but first I have the main game and like every other dlc to play through
??? A game dev changine an NPC voice actor mid game?? That's new. I'm guessing that has received some backlash in the community.
Took a quick research for GW2 and looks like you can play as a cat person, so looks like I might try GW2 someday. Though I do hope it is still passable as a single player game like ESO. I'm anti social /j
Anyway anon if you love Razum-Dar that much, I heard the Thieves Guild DLC (or was it Dark Brotherhood... one of the two) features him back as an NPC. Don't have it myself yet, but I heard he's there.
My friend bought me High Isle several weeks back, haven't got around to it since I'm still enjoying myself in Elsweyr. But I've heard Queen Ayrenn is featured in High Isle, so I'm excited to meet my video game elf mom in a new environment <3

What eso chapters/questlines have you played through? And like what are your thoughts on all of them. I've only played through greymoor and elsweyr and I'm wondering which other ones are worth doing before I cancel my eso plus subscription.
i never finished it but pretty much everyone says orsinium is pretty good, and i liked thieves guild (tho having to level up your thieves skills or whatever between every quest is tedious)
the rest of the dlcs/expansions are wayyyyyyyyyy too repetitive and tedious like, i played through almost all of them prior to greymoor but its just boring as hell. same 3 plotlines over and over again, same repetitive gameplay. not worth it imo

what're your top 3 favorite and least favorite quests/questlines in eso? i haven't played since launch and i'm trying to decide whether or not to pick it up again
favorite zones/questlines:
the coldharbour questline (base game main quest). one of current eso’s biggest flaws is that they don’t give you the option to start at the base-game tutorial because, when played in the original order, playing through the original questline is by far the best way to experience the game.
orsinium. if you’ve followed me for any length of time and haven’t realized that i worship this dlc, idk what to tell you. in my mind, orsinium is without flaw. everything about it is spectacular. name an aspect of a game that matters to you and orsinium does it flawlessly. the only thing that stops me from recommending this dlc as the one and only eso zone ppl play through is the fact that the combat and gameplay is actually well-designed enough that it can be challenging if you don’t know what you’re doing with your character. (fuck those trinimac trials LOL)
thieves guild. in a game that constantly makes you be the arbiter of difficult morally-grey situations, thieves guild manages to give you the most challenging question you’ll ever be forced to answer: which of your companions would you take on a date? the questline is compelling and the quests are fun, but the strongest feature is in the extremely very lovable characters. plus, alive lesbians <3
honourable mentions: summurset, mage’s guild, deshaan, shadowfen, reaper’s march
least favorite zones/questlines:
the clockwork city: i think of this as the dlc that singlehandedly destroyed the TES fandom. this dlc is like being mansplained at. this dlc is like having a tech guy ask you if you’ve read jordan peterson. this dlc would define ephebophilia for me on anon. this dlc vexes me. the only good thing about the clockwork city dlc is that it retroactively makes almalexia the hero of tes3:tribunal, causing us to wonder not why she murdered sotha sil, but how she managed to wait 4,000 years before doing it
greymoor: between the rampant racism, the total lack of originality, and the three entire dead lesbian questlines, i’m just not a fan of this one. my theory is that ESO’s marketing team is run by some sort of incubus tasked with draining the life and soul out of every writer who’s worked on the series since orsinium, and greymoor is the end-member of this terminal soullessness. also at some point ESO fandom needs to address that the “year of the--” gimmick theyve got going on is just a way for ESO to do that thing where they take a whole quest, cut off the end quarter, and then make you buy it as a dlc in desperate hopes that maybe this questline has something redeeming in it somewhere. but alas.
morrowind: it was a tough competition, but i’m giving the morrowind chapter third place on my shitlist for what it represents. morrowind was the first chapter where the marketing team realized that enough nostalgia-bait would save them from having to write well and it’s all been downhill since
dishonourable mentions: elsweyr, the rift, craglorn

One of my problems with Skyrim is that while the game armors Khajiit and Argonians, it leaves the tail completely vulnerable. Seriously, in the middle of a fight, what's stopping the opponent from stepping on or pulling the tail, just to get an advantage? I imagine that in Elsweyr and Black Marsh there's protection for tails, or maybe attacking an opponent's tail is considered a cheap tactic similar to sweeping the leg. I realize that it wasn't worth extra time and money to add tail armor to the game, because unarmored tails haven't changed the gameplay and AI in Skyrim is “meh” at best, but it just seems a bit lazy and it’s bothered me all day so yeah

Alright. It's about time I ramble about what I want for TES6.
In short, I'd like the follower system to be a bit more like Fallout 4's.
I know there's a LOT of followers in skyrim, so it's likely that TES6 will have too many to give their own... Morality system??? You know.
So I'd imagine lots of copy-pasting would be done for the normal followers.
But the unique followers (for a skyrim example, think Cicero, Marcurio, and the other fan favorites with extra dialog.) Would be a bit more fleshed out?
(Also the romance system in fallout 4 is pretty good)
I'm no game dev, so I'm CERTAINLY not an expert, but that's just what I want.
As for character creator stuff, and HOO there's a lot I want for that...
First off, different tail shapes for khajiits. And maybe some for argonians too.
Second, bring back argonian fins. They're cool, and I have no clue why they're not in skyrim.
Third, just......... More customization, really. I just want MORE OPTIONS because I'm a greedy fuck who spends HOURS on the character customization screen.
And that funky body shape triangle slider that TESO, and fallout 4 have. That's cool.
Uh... Idk what else.
As long as it has a Sheogorath quest, the game will be good to me.
Mostly I want a lot of skyrim gameplay mechanics to stay.
The alchemy, enchanting, and crafting are important to me.
I hate oblivion's alchemy, (actually I hate a lot of oblivion's mechanics) and TESO's alchemy system is just as insufferable as the rest of it.
Have I mentioned that the elder scrolls online HURTS me to play? As a skyrim player, it's so fucking restrictive and GOD THERES TOO MUCH SHIT. Too MUCH, too many mechanics, I llike the combat and the Sheogorath quest I did today. But that's basically it....
No choices?! Why are there no CHOICES??? What if I agree with the vampire guys? What if I DONT want to help the bitchy lady who is part of a quest I'm doing? TESO is a painful journey through EA-style microtransaction advertising, dlc advertising, and general advertising for shit I don't want to buy.
AND, the worst part??? You can't even choose where you start. I'm always started in elsweyr, because that's the disk I loaded first. It's fucking awful!!! The game is HELL ON EARTH, and there's too many small little items and trying to pic them up sucks and ALSO there's too much stuff too much,.. too many things. Too much stuff and the menus are complicated advernddelwaysndndrend.......
Sorry had a stroke. anYYYWAYS,,,,,,,
I'm not autistic but I now understand wt sensory overload is. It's basically the TESO experience.
Wow this turned into a rant...
And basically, DONT let it be TESO. That's it. We're counting on you, Todd Howard. Make this a good game for us.

The tags on your voice actor post are entirely and unnecessarily hostile. It's fine to want to get out your frustrations, and you can have your own thoughts on the "necessity" of the VA chance, good or bad (ignoring the real life reasons why it may have had to have happened), but there really is no need to 1) insinuate that you're better than people who like rada or imply they're fetishizing innocence in fenn bc you like the old VA, and 2) tag your hostility where people in the tag can see it
Just saw this.  1.) We all thirst heavily over certain fictional characters. If you are swooning over Fennorian or Rada, more power to you. When Elsweyr dropped, I was thirsting hard over Abnur. My entire blog was being clogged with his content. I can’t care less over who you thirst for. I voice strong opinions against Vanus x Mannimarco, but I don’t hunt down blogs who support the ship and send them hate anon. What I’ve stated has absolutely nothing to do with people’s personal love and appreciation for the characters. Anything I’ve ever stated has been in the same exact format of shamming Tharnf*ckers that was automatically recognized as a joke back when people were swooning for Abnur.
What I do have a problem with is the game somewhat sexualizing them. I was promised a fun, spooky werewolf and vampire Elder Scrolls gaming experience. Instead I got a glitchy DLC where no fellow werewolves recognize I’m a werewolf, nor do any vampires acknowledge my vampire characters. All I see advertised to me is Fennorian’s face, as well as Rada being sold as a “sexy tragic villain”, which seems to be what is mainly selling that DLC. Besides the Antiquities system, of course. For the first time ever in my Elder Scrolls Online experience, I got bored during a Chapter’s Questline. And I wasn’t the only one. The only positive thing I saw spoken about was the thirst for Fennorian and Rada. Totally valid- they weren’t bad characters at all. But yes, I’m going to be vocal that I don’t want that alone to sell the DLC. I want a patch to give me the vampire and werewolf Elder Scrolls experience I was promised and paid $50 bucks for!
2.) I haven’t the slightest idea what the “real life issue” may have been. If something tragic happened to the original voice actor, then I do apologize. I understand how awful that can be, and it can totally kill the spirit behind the microphone among the voice actors. However, my rage wasn’t entirely against that. Yeah, I don’t like the new voice actor. I’m not going to change my mind- I fell in love with the original voice. It’s with that voice I hold all my memories of the original Rivenspire questline playthrough and the original Verandis Ravenwatch. But my main issue is that it kinda feels like Verandis is being rewritten completely, if only to fit the stereotypical sexual vampire fantasy tropes. Used to have a soft, yet confident voice and tone - Now has a deeper and more alluring tone
Originally hadn’t the slightest interest in romance, sex, and shied away from affection and lust - Now is totally being teased that he was possibly very close, possibly romantically involved, with Rada. Also apparently he had wild nudist parties? Really?
Original questline story was tragic, somewhat symbolizing an abused victim’s struggle of constantly feeling as if they’re to blame for all the chaos around them, and then giving in to it and returning to their abuser (Molag Bal in Verandis’ case) - SCREW THAT, VERANDIS IS BACK with no acknowledgement of the heavy decision he made, and no big reunion feel like there was with Darien, Abnur, or Sai
Never once have I ever posted one of my harsher critiques of this Chapter and not recommend ESO. I’ve always promoted it, always loved it, and always looked forward to what comes next. Greymoor was a let down for me. If you enjoyed it, fantastic. Why do you let my opinion steal that joy from you? Just enjoy your game?
But I paid $50 for a product, and also I pay an additional fee every month because I’m a console player. In order to even play ESO, I have to have Xbox Gold. Literally it is the only game I own that requires that, and is one of the few  reasons I set back money just to pay for that subscription so I can play. So yes, I am going to voice my opinion, because it is a product they advertised and sold to me, and I feel like I was cheated. For $50, no way. Maybe for the standard DLC price of $25, but Greymoor didn’t warrant a $50 price tag. Mind you, they sold the physical copy for over $100!
So no, I’m not adding a “hostility” tag, because there isn’t any hostility. Just disappointment that, yeah, there are pretty interesting characters given to us in Greymoor but little to no original content nor endearing storylines/ gameplay mechanics to back them up. To all the devs, I don’t hate you nor do I condemn you to an eternal coding hell. These are the same devs that brought us all the other Chapters, which were awesome. I will never get over the Morrowind- Clockwork City - Summerset’s storyline. It’s one of the best storylines I’ve seen in my gaming experience so far. Greymoor was a huge let down, but that doesn’t mean I’ve lost faith in the next Chapter? Nor in the writing or voice acting of the game as a whole?
If you don’t like my posts or get hostile vibes, then block me. It’s as easy as that.
Personally though, I had to deal with people giving me shit for liking Abnur Tharn, and I didn’t listen to them. If people are bullying or harassing you over liking Rada, just ignore them. Abnur got his redemption arc in the end, and I have a feeling Rada may have the same future ahead of him.

Hey! Hope u r doing well! I got a quick question for ya if u want to help me out? I just got the elsweyre dlc for eso and I rlly want to be a necromancer but I rlly do not want to restart the whole game from the beginning and level up all over again! is there any way to by pass this or do I just have to suffer through it?
Class change isnt possible but leveling a character to level 50 can be done in like under 36 hours of gameplay. Just make some training gear (or ask a friend) and go do like, delves and random daily dungeons and battleground and stuff. But if you want to play as a Vestige then youd need to be doing main quest stuff as well. I cant tell you how to play the game because I dont know you play style, but ESO has a lot of replayability

this is a huge part of why i kinda hate eso, it’s so goddamn inaccessible with this bullshit business model. i was looking in the crown store trying to do some math and stuff. there are by my count 14 dlc packs for this game, not including the two chapters that don’t come with buying the base game. by my figuring, that comes out to costing 20500 crowns. 1 crown is worth a bit less than 1 us cent, meaning the smallest crown package they offer, 750 crowns (which, btw, is only enough for half of even the cheapest dlc packs) costs 7.99 usd.
what that means is, buying every dlc pack costs 149.99 usd, and that’s if you buy crowns at their highest value, which is a pack of 21000. at their lowest value, 750 crowns for 7.99 usd, you have to spend at least 223.72 usd to acquire them all. and that’s not including the chapters summerset and elsweyr, which’ll set you back at least another 80 usd.
so if you want to buy all the actual gameplay and story content for the elder scrolls online, including the base game, the chapters, and the dlc packs you have to pay zenimax approx 315.66 usd. and that’s not including the upcoming dlc pack and chapter.
am i the only one who thinks that’s kind of fucking. ridiculous?????????
