body shaped like soft serve 🍦🤤
I'm so grateful to be able to accept and enjoy the contours of my own body. Dismantling and healing from self-hatred and body dysmorphia has taken me a long, loooong time, but baby I'm here showing up for myself every day!!!
The bad body image days still exist - but I can move through those feelings instead of being dragged down by them. A few bad days will never erase my progress 🫶🏼
Fighting to accept my body, heal my eating disorders, and rewrite the toxic narratives I was taught about self-worth, beauty, and body size has been a hard but extremely worthwhile journey. Honestly it's saved my life.
You CAN change your internal narrative and rewrite your own story with love and acceptance for yourself, and I hope that you do 💗 we deserve love and tenderness from ourselves most of all!!

The whole “having sex with fat people is a fetish” thing always bugged me. Like why? Why does it have to be? How do I know if someone likes me for me or if it is a fetish? Is it a bad thing to be someone’s fetish? Lala breaks this down so easily in our conversation on the pod and it makes so much sense. What do you guys think about fat sex being a fetish? #fatsex #fatsexuality #fatfetish #fatactivism #fatliberation #bodyacceptance #sexmakesmeuncomfortable #conversationaboutsex #lovemysexy #fatandhot #fatandsexy #fatandsmart #fatgirlbookclub Reposted from @fatgirlbookclubpod https://www.instagram.com/p/CiyUwGjv0I9/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I'll be much better about sharing here in the future.
I've been named on the site. My picture is there and this space and the work I do in it are mentioned. Please read the document that @val_and.co has put together.
The hate this community receives is real, but so is the love and care we share for each other.
Please be sure to take good care of yourself and adhere to the warnings she has given. It's very important that you do. ⚠️
I'm holding space and I'm here if you need to discuss anything or process what you read.
Posted @withregram • @val_and.co CW: extreme fat hate, harassment, self-harm and suicide.
-TL;DR -
There’s a website/forum that targets fat people with the intent of having them commit suicide.
I have posted a free-to-all article on my Patreon with further details and resources for what you can do to mitigate their impact/protect yourself from them. The article is on Patreon to reduce the chances of it being taken down by the website in question/being reported on Instagram/Meta.

Ummm
Remember folks, if you aren’t fat, it’s not internalized fatphobia you are working on, its just fatphobia.

Trying to buy clothes while fat is an exercise in frustration. Modern, middle/low income fashion is trash. I was going through some plus size magazines that came in today, and was entirely unimpressed with the “styles” to choose from.
Rather than shopping for clothes, I feel like I’m going camping and buying a tent!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These photos are from three different magazines for three different companies. And yet they all sell exactly the same things.
Casual wear, professional wear, special occasions… they’re all shapeless TENTS!!!
(Expensive tents. Why are some of these things over $50? Unless they’re paying their workers proper wages ((doubtful)) then the same item in “straight” sizes is often half that!)
Does anyone have any options (not torrid, LB, woman within) that don’t look like you’re wearing a colorful sack? Nothing in my local donation places ever fit. I guess nobody my size throws out perfectly good clothing and instead wears it to death.
Tagging some fat positive blogs I follow to see if they have any ideas. @fatphobiabusters , @fatliberation , @fatsexybitch
Because at this rate I’m going to have to bite the bullet and sew up everything myself…. And that’s gonna be a hassle and a half.
Edit: autocorrect fail

Did you know it’s okay to stay fat in the new year?!?! 😱
Contrary to popular belief you do not need to shrink yourself in order to exist in the new year. Caring for yourself in 2024 can look like cherishing your belly, providing yourself nourishment, building a strong relationship with yourself and your fat body, and so much more than losing weight.
Staying Fat in 2024.
Centering Fat Joy in 2024.
Fat Liberation in 2024.
Freeing P@lêşțïñë in 2024.

What are some tips you have for drawing chubby characters? I have a lot of trouble doing it and I want to draw my characters’ body types accurately. You draw bodies so well, I’d love to have your talent!
please excuse me for taking a while to answer!! I appreciate that you love how i draw fat characters <333 I wasn't sure if like... i wanted to do a verbal explanation or have a whole tutorial, but i doodled a few examples anyway!
Tumblr media
fat is affected by gravity, so areas of substantial fat appear weighed down by it (most of the time- everyone is different). it's also good to practice double chins, which are very easy to draw once you drop the need to give everyone a defined jawline
Tumblr media
think round! fat is round and sometimes a little squarish around the pelvic region
the main things i can suggest are to not be afraid to draw people Wide. don't be surprised that you can draw characters wider than u think, and even wider than that! there are endless kinds of chubby and fat body typs to draw and see
Tumblr media
o also, chubby and fat people tend to not have visible collar bones. another thing i suggest is to fill ur social media feed with fat liberation blogs or just fat-friendly blogs that have a lot of irl photos of larger people. that'll help build ur mental library, and it'll show u the beauty of human diversity for ur palette!!
here's a couple resources for u as well: Fat Photo Reference
Morpho Fat and Skin Folds (art reference book)
Adorkastock has plenty of larger bodied pose references too. this is their deviantart link, but they have a main website as well
here are various blogs that showcase fat acceptance, information, and art:
@fatliberation @fatandlikeitlikethat @recovering-vamp @fatqueerlove @bigfatscience @worth-beyond-a-number-scale

To be fair I may be wrong considering how biases in med science leads to correlative data, but from what I have seen, being overweight leads to health issues? I remember being back in high school being taught that having more fat equated to heart strain, since more blood needed to be moved throughout the body within the same time frame than for a person of expected weight
And more recently when I went looking for research papers on being overweight and the associated heart issues (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6179812/#:~:text=The%20increased%20cardiac%20output%20in,an%20increase%20in%20stroke%20volume.)
From your post, yea definitely fat phobia in medical spaces is a horrifying thing, and probably led to many of these ‘get fat and you’ll have this health condition’ ideas circulating
Though I was curious if you think being fat within a certain ‘range’ has no negative health impacts? (Genuinely contused and curious)
Seriously, I'm not going to get into this discourse or provide you with an exhaustive explanation of how medical bias affects research and the interpretation of results when so many people out there have already done the work, and I linked to books you can read and pointed towards a podcast you can listen to already.
But, since you ignored those things and came into my inbox 'just asking questions,' you can start here:
Or maybe you can look at @fatphobiabusters or @fatliberation, or @fatsexybitch, who have already done a lot of work on this.
I am genuinely not interested in this conversation.

(I originally posted this as a reblog of one of @fatliberation's essential posts, but I'd just as soon not get drawn into any extended discussions with non-feedists on my kink account, so I'm reposting it as its own post. @fatliberation, I hope you know how important your work is and how much it's appreciated.)
I'm a feedist kink fiction writer. I've been fat my entire life and experienced fatphobia from peers and from the medical establishment, I've struggled with diet culture, and yet I've had positive feelings about my own fat body and other fat people's bodies for literally as long as I can remember. In real life, many of us know exactly what it means to live in fat bodies, the bad as well as the good. We play in our fantasies with extreme language and imagery, and with themes of stereotypes and stigma, as a way of reclaiming our agency over our own bodies and libidos. C'mon, folks, this is kink psychology 101.

Found your blog through the Fatliberation post. Your story really resonated; thank you for sharing. Excited to follow you!
Thank you! i really poured my heart out there in a way i haven’t really done before, which was scary, but it seems to have resonated with a couple people, and that warms my heart to see ❤️
