plot ideas: percy de rolo.

— vampire au, for vm members or d&d ocs: the briarwoods realized that they weren't getting what they wanted out of regular torture. sylas had an idea, though: to make a vampire spawn out of percy. mere hours before cass rescues him, percy is turned by sylas. thankfully, he still manages to escape, but he finds it impossible to stray too far from his creator. he is trapped in the parchwood forest. years pass, during which percy does his best to inconvenience the briarwoods, but he doesn't have the guts to take them on. the briarwoods, too, seem apprehensive of finishing him off. while in emon, the briarwoods decide to recruit vox machina (or ur d&d oc) to take care of their 'vampire problem'. *note: would not follow d&d vampire lore*

— arranged marriage au, for vexes: percy lives under the thumbs of the briarwoods. after a botched attempt at revenge, they took him in and waxed poetry of how they were his real family, not the de rolos. didn't he have ambition? wasn't he clever? hadn't he sold his soul for a higher purpose? those were briarwood traits, not de rolo traits. he pretended to slowly be convinced. now, a few years later, the briarwoods are struggling to make a deal with syngorn for their precious teleportation stones. they manage to strike a deal w one of its leaders, syldor: one of his bastards, vex, shall be betrothed to young percival in return for a stone.

— for jesters: artagan didn't mean to promise jester he'll show her where his doorway to the feyworld is, but he does and jester won't let him get away with not keeping his word. so, the two of them teleport to whitestone. jester is intrigued – perhaps there's a circus in town or some other local event that sparks her curiosity – and she explores, artagan regretfully in tow. everything is peaches and cream until they run into a middleaged man with white hair who is very upset to see artagan. jester absolutely must know where they know each other from. percy is appalled to learn that the archfey who choked vax to death for fun is being worshipped as a god.

— cursed au, for vm members: scanlan didn't destroy the list and percy held onto it. orthax stayed with (& within) percy. the names are replaced every time a new person is slain. the thick smoke is beginning to take a toll on percy's mind; he's losing his sense of self, he's becoming cruel.

— modern con au, for vexes & vaxes: vax & vex make their living by conning their way into the lives of rich socialites. they befriend them, pretending to be rich themselves, and trick them into 'investing' in scams, promising a return on their money within the year. sometimes they even flirt a little to get the ball rolling. well, this time, the twins are in the big city of whitestone, and vex has set her eyes on the heir to the de rolo fortune.

plot ideas: shaun gilmore.

— post canon, for vm members or other vm campaign npcs: no one has really told gilmore what happened to vax. why it happened. how vax lied to his face. gilmore needs to grieve. he needs to seek out answers, which our character might have. he needs to spill his soul if he's ever to move on.

— post canon, for vaxes: a raven started showing up, a week after the defeat of vecna. it sits outside gilmore's window every day for an hour, on the dot, right before sunset. gilmore knows it's him. so he talks. he processes his grief with the spirit of the man who died.

— canon adjacent, for vexes: during the events of the campaign, vex seeks out gilmore to make sure he's alright. gilmore tackles the hard task of having a heart to heart with someone who looks identical to the man who just broke his.

— fake holiday dating au with a twist, for vaxes, vexes, & percys: vex recently dropped out of school. to make matters worse, syldor found out about her stripping side-gig. she's the laughing stock of the extended (& conservative) family. and it's wintercrest. vax hates the idea of going home for the holidays knowing that vex will be bullied by their family and his father's business partners all month long. that's where percy comes into the picture. percy doesn't wanna go home to the briarwoods for the holidays. he agrees to go with vax to syngorn as vax's apparent boyfriend, to cause a stir that'll upset the conservatives worse than a little erotic dancing. vex could be either aware of this lie and the reason for it, or not. either way, when they go home for the holidays, vax finds out that gilmore, a family friend whom vax has had a crush on for forever, is visiting for the holidays. suddenly, vax hates himself for manufacturing himself a date.

Y'know me 2 hours ago was rlly excited to make a fun little animatic while I rewatched all of season 2. It's now 2 and a half hours later and I finally finished all the editing. I'm so tired my hand hurts sm it's late and I had 2 cut out my favorite part of it bc I realized it made 0 sense </3

Any ways. Here's a sorta animatic remake of Bayden getting turned into a Minotaur scene, but it's for my feyworld au! I. Don't feel like talking all Abt it rn bc I'm So tired but basic gist Horse is human and gets sent 2 the fey realm and all the characters r various fey creatures. Bayden here is a Harpy if u wanna know! And the feyworld au is a little more serious + dark since fey aren't like. The nicest unfortunately

But I'm honestly fairly proud of this just. So tired now sheieb. Hope other ppl like it

Centaurworld: Feyworld AU

A few people including myself have been brainstorming this AU in a fan discord, so let me be the first to post about it! Instead of entering Centaurworld, in this AU Horse finds herself amongst the Fey and is guided through their domain by a herd of centaurs.

Wammawink is the leader of this herd, which includes most centaurs as well as Ched, the harpy, and Zulius, the disguised trickster god. Zulius is partnered with Splendib, a low-ranking Fey who he claims he only doesn’t smite because he’s indebted to the tigertaur.

As they travel, Horse refers to herself as “Horse” and her rider as “Rider” to avoid giving up her name. This is one of the only rules of the Fey she actually observes.

Also in this AU, a long time ago, a human princess visited the Fey’s domain with her friend, Becky Apples. An ancient, evil Fey tricked the princess into giving up both of their names and marrying him, cursing her to forever be his puppet while Becky roams the human world as an ordinary horse. This was done using the General, a human-presenting extension of the Fey which is used to lure in unsuspecting mortals.

There’s a lot more to this AU, but this is all for now! More to come!

More Feyworld AU

One of the most powerful - and dangerous - beings in the world of the Fey is the Whaletaur, also known by such titles as “the Siren” and “the Face-Stealer.” She’s known to do much worse than steal faces though, as countless lesser beings have lost their memories, identities, or even bodies to her.

One of the few beings working against the Whaletaur is Sunfish Merguy, an unassuming Selkie who does all he can to warn passersby against following her siren song. To avoid being smited while doing so, he enlists the help of his fiancee Jeffica, who protects his pelt while he works.

Jeffica herself is an old and powerful enough Fey to exist as a sort of patron towards other centaurs, a position partially secured by her partnership with Sunfish Merguy and the Selkies. Wammawink, who was once very close to holding this position herself, resents Jeffica for this.
