Just thinking about Yandere Todoroki clan and reader's random moments.

Reader coming home after a particularly bad day, but poor girl cant even cry or complain without everyone immediately overreacting and pulling you out of school/college or even keeping you from going out at all. So now, reader has to either cry in self pity before she enters her home, wipe her tears and fix herself just enough to show that she hadnt just bawled her eyes out moments ago. That, or do the more risky thing and go home, go to your room and cry under the covers, but then theres always the chance of Rei or the others walking in on you any moment.

Also thinking about baby/toddler reader being sick, just a common cold or flu, nothing major. But with reader whining and being so young, the family's infantalisation goes through the roof and theyd treat you as if you were immunocompromised. I wont lie, but I think Rei is almost kinda... glad when you get sick? She enjoys you being dependant on her for the most things, even when you grow up and are able to handle a cold, she still deludes herself into thinking that you need mommy to come and help you.

I think the one person who is most affected by reader getting sick, no matter what age, is Enji. The man just cant help but view you as a fragile, starving Victorian child the moment you fall ill. In his eyes, even a harsh blow of air is too much for a fragile thing like you, let alone something as bad as the flu. He just- he's holding toddler reader in his arms, who snuggles into his warm body, your tiny nose pink and he cant get the image of you crying and vomiting and being oh so feverish- thats just way too much for your small body. Oh how he almost cried when he took you to the doctor for a shot and you clung to him, trying to bury yourself into him as you begged him to make you feel better, cried to him that you didnt want to get the "big scary needle!" He just had to hold you there in his firm grip as you writhed, had to look away when you looked at him and he saw the feeling of betrayal in your eyes, had to keep himself from not strangling the fucking doctor for not being careful, had to walk out of the clinic and hand you to Rei because he couldnt hear you cry anymore, had to have Rei console both you and Enji (assuring him that "no, Enji. Y/n doesnt resent you for making her get a shot.") and he couldnt even sleep a wink that night because he was standing by your bed, holding your tiny hand with his pinky as a tear finally slipped out of his eye.

ALSO thinking about adult reader going out of the house to meet up with friends, except shes meeting up with them at a club instead of at their house like she told Enji and Rei, and now shes standing outside, abandoned by said friends, and shes now running because a group of pervy men are chasing her and she doesnt know who to call, so she just speed dials Shotou, except someone just changed all your speed dials to one number, and you think youre doomed when Shotou doesnt say a word to you and just hangs up when within minutes, someone comes in front of you-

"Dabi?" He tells you to cover your ears and look away, and you know well by know what that means, so you obey, feeling a bit regretful as those men begin to scream in agony. You dont know how long its been until Dabi pulls your hands away and examines your wounds. He lets you crash into his chest as you sob, and this time, Dabi simply decides to take you home quietly without a lecture.

Hmmm, also thinking about Natsuo who is usually cool as a cucumber, the most normal being in the family, except for his very rare episodes of unbridled rage where he suddenly becomes the Hulk. Good thing for you is that this anger is never directed towards you, rather towards people who actively threaten your life (except Rei cause she gets to play "Im your mom who became mentally unstable because of your abusive dad") The only time NAtsuo is stern with you is when it comes to your health. He's just looking at you with those strict eyes when you refuse to take your multivitamins, or dont want to get a flu shot, or try to make up an excuse so that he cant check your vitals. And when he just grabs your wrist and pulls you to sit down so that he can do his checkup, its in those moments that you realise just how strong your brother is... and how easy it may be for him to overpower you and sedate you if he ever followed through Rei's threats.

Didnt even hear you.

You said it during breakfast and all he did was pause for a second to acknowledge your cheek kiss and went right back to eating.

Everybody else heard you though.

Now Sanji is crying pounding the floor saying “God I HAVE SEEN WHAT YOU’VE DONE FOR OTHERS”

It was pretty bad timing considering 1. nobody on the crew knew you and Luffy had sex. 2. Now everybody knows you and Luffy has sex.

You have to explain you’re not actually pregnant like 4 times and Luffy just didn’t get what was happening

“Y/N and Luffy—-you both—oh my gosh i’m going to gag.”

“Alright calm down usopp it’s not a big deal😒”

The rest of the morning was just small jokes and side eyes by everybody and your wonderful boyfriend finally starts paying attention by asking you later that day:

Steddie ficlet (might do a follow up to show Eddie's reaction)

"He likes a boy"

after years of friendship, and being joined at the proverbial hip, Robin liked to think she could read Steve pretty well, however, his love of being just vague enough to confuse her made this difficult.

"who likes a what now?" still trying to get a read on Steve's feelings, but as of right now he just seemed, disconnected. Since showing up unexpectedly at her house, he had maintained that far-away sort of look that showed that even Steve didn't know what he was feeling.

"Eddie... he... we were hanging out and he" finally he fully met Robin's gaze, and the heartbroken edge to his vacant stare became evident "he was implying, heavily, that he likes me"

"... likes likes you?"

Steve's expression briefly switched to mocking disbelief at her childish choice of words, but he didn't have the energy for any kind of clever retort

"Yes Robin! like likes me!" throwing up his hands before allowing them to smack down against their Jeans ("their" because they fit them both and had been making the rotation between both Steve and Robin's wardrobe for months, she wasn't entirely sure who they belonged to to begin with, not that it mattered)

"And you're... upset?" This was baffling because in the months since Eddie returned for the upside-down, the two had never been closer. Far too many shifts consisted of Steve waxing poetic about Eddie while Robin vaguely tried to relate and be supportive. Although why Steve seemed so utterly smitten as he talked about Eddie's hair or musical elitism would never really make sense to Robin. But still, she saw how they were together.

Steve had a bad track record for love, pouring every part of himself into another person in a way that was truly heartbreaking to watch. However, it became significantly less heartbreaking when it was accompanied by Eddie's eyes following Steve around every room, and always looking to him in conversations no matter who was there because it was Steve's opinion and thoughts that mattered to him most. They truly were obsessed with each other, and honestly, Robin had been waiting for the other shoe to drop.

So Steve's stricken expression made no sense, nor did his frustration that Robin - despite being his platonic soulmate - didn't magically understand the issue he was having.

"I dont know Robs, its just he likes... Steve Harrington" his voice was defeated as he said it, but it still explained nothing

"....you're Steve Harrington" The confusion in her voice was evident "Am I missing something here, this isn't a 'King Steve' thing is it, because Eddie has made it pretty clear that he thought you were a jerk back then"

the noise of frustration from Steve showed she clearly had missed the point and never had she wished so badly to read her best friend's mind as when the tears began to well up in his eyes. She wanted to hug him, but knew from experience that Steve needed to get the thoughts out first.

There was a minute of silence that Robin had to try desperately to not break, every instinct wanting to spit out an awkward and unhelpful comment to lighten the mood, but she knew she just had to wait.

"I'm not..." the words seemed to get lodged in his throat, even those two words came out scratchy and uncomfortable

He squeezed his eyes shut "I'm not a boy"

Steve opened their eyes, with a desperate expression "I'm not a boy"

It was a statement but also a plea. Begging for Robin to know exactly what to say. She didnt.

"you're not a boy." Robin made sure to sound confident, at least she could pretend to know what she was doing. It seemed okay because they gave an awkward nod, head moving slightly too much for it to seem natural

"you're.... a girl?"

the tears seemed to spill the second she said it, and a choked noise lodged itself in their (her?) throat, but after a moment of panicked pause their eyes screwed shut and they nodded but also shrugged. Clearly just as confused by their discomfort as Robin is.

"Okay, thats okay Ste-" shit, stupid "that's okay babe, you're still you, and hey I might be... severely romantically challenged but even I know Eddie is obsessed with you"

there's a brief watery smile before the corners of her lips are pulled down "He likes Steve, he wouldn't like me"

"Horse shit" Robin wasn't as confident as she was trying to sound, but she knew that her best friend was still her best friend and that anyone who didn't adore her was an idiot (as all best friends know)

she moved to sit next to her friend who had ended up on the floor with her knees pulled to her chest, and once again the silence was allowed to stretch out before them, only broken up by heartbroken sniffles and shakey breaths

"so..." Robin wished more than any other moment that she wasn't so awkward "Not Steve?"

"I-" the thought gets broken off " It doesn't feel right, doesn't feel like it's me"

"whats you?" two words encapsulating a question that was near impossible to answer, but it still felt right to ask, to show that Robin wanted to know the answer.

the expression on her face showed that her friend also thought the question unanswerable, and a frustrated shrug fell from her

Robin hated that defeated expression, so she tried "Michelle?"

Clearly, the scrunched-up expression implied it wasn't a fit

"Hannah?" no not that

"Sarah?" seemed less disgusted but still no

"Becky?" okay back to disgust, moving on

"OH! Punch me if this sucks, but... Stevie?" Robin felt the need to justify her choice, showing that she wasn't just trying to make her keep her old name "Like Stevie Nicks! I could see that, dye your hair blonde, get some bangs"

the comment about changing her hair was obviously met with a scowl, but after a soft smile found its way onto her face "Stevie feels better"

Robin had never felt so smart, she was a fucking genius "Stevie is it babe"

Stevie spent moments looking at her, seemingly deep in thought before softly speaking "Thank you Robin"

it seemed too formal for them, to say it so directly with her name like that, but she could tell that Stevie was really grateful so Robin held back the tears (one of them had to be the butch one in this relationship)

"no problem babe" it was spoken just as softly as the thanks, and for now it seemed enough

"Now, tell me what happened with Eddie"

Stolas wasn't too keen on remarrying, especially when he found out it would be his ex-wife's cousin. He expected to be just like the rest of your snobby family.

The first time he met you, your beak upturned in a smile that could've been fake. But there was no faking the look in your eyes. The way you were hanging off every word as he talked. That was the most genuine thing about your family. Your eyes always gave you away. Stolas learned that quickly with Stella. Even when she was trying to be nice, her eyes always revealed her true feelings.

After the wedding, Stolas realized the heels of your fancy shoes didn't echo in the hallways like Stella's did. Her footsteps always sent chills down his spine because they were always filled with fury. No matter where you were in the palace, you could always hear her coming.

The first time you threw a ball, it wasn't for a selfish reason, it was for your friend's birthday. Unlike Stella's amazing idea of a 'not divorced' party. She would glide across the ballroom with fake poise, her head turned up at everyone who was below her. But you move so effortlessly and with such elegance that you could put your cousin to shame.

It felt odd to be living with you at first. To be sleeping in the same bed. But you mostly kept to yourself during the day. Stolas finally could get some peace and quiet now that Stella's constant torment was gone. During dinner, when you were all sat at the table, you would have an actual conversation with him. Octavia seemed to like you as well, the two of you would talk about things that she liked. And you would hangout in the library at night.

You weren't trying to be a new parent for Via. Or a new spouse for Stolas. You were just simply existing in the same space. Not trying to disrupt the environment before you. Maybe that's why he was just so drawn to you. You cared about his problems, listened to him, but didn't pry. Even when your cousin was brought up, you were never angry. You were just an observer.

But now Stolas was in a dilemma. He likes Blitz, but now he also likes.. you? It sent his head into spirals, rethinking the last year of his life. It was so bad he couldn't concentrate on the words in his book. Because just a few feet away his spouse sat at their vanity, putting some eye drops in their eyes. Stolas takes a deep breath, going over every outcome in his head. Before he knew what he was doing, the words were coming out of his mouth. "Uh, hey?"

This gains your attention, and you turn to him. But not just your head, you did a full body turn towards him. Satan you were so beautiful. Stolas would compare your beauty to that of the stars. Your head tilts every so slightly, your eyes fill with affection. "Yes?"

"I'm having a bit of a problem.." Stolas admits, setting his book on the nightstand. By the time he looked back at you, you were already sitting on the bed with him. "What kind of problem?"

"I think I'm starting to love you..." He mumbles scratching the back of his neck and then smoothing down his feathers. "Why is that a problem?"

You already knew about his relationship with Blitz as he would often express his issues to you. It was a very simple question, but it made Stolas even more confused. "Because I can't like two people at once."

He shakes his head, his hands in his lap. You raise an eyebrow, then chuckle to yourself. "Stolas, we don't have to be exclusive. Especially since I know how special that Imp is to you. We can take things slow, see if we like it. If not, we can go back to how things are, I won't be upset."

His eyes widen at your words. His body felt like it was on fire. But not the 'I'm horny' kind of fire. More like 'I love you so much I think I'm going to explode' kind. "Could I.. kiss you then?"

You smile, the type of smile that made his heart melt for you. You inch over to him, taking his wing in yours. "I would love nothing more than that."

It was one of the most love filled, passionate kisses that Stolas had ever experienced. His claws grabbing at you like you'd slip away if he didn't. Your claws touch his face delicately, as if he were a glass figure that would shatter if you pressed too hard. When the two of you pull away, Stolas buries his face into your neck. And the two of you cuddle into each other for the rest of the night.

Heeseung had been preparing the proposal for months. He wanted everything to be perfect and prepared everything, from the ring to the location. He felt a rush of nervousness as he prepared the remaining things. He is remarrying the woman he loved for many years, and this time they can be together without any hindrance. He wanted the memories made with her to be nothing but full of happiness.

The boys were in charge of making sure that their mom arrived at the venue without raising any suspicion. They asked their mom to drop them off at a place where they would meet their friends, which was a lie to get her to the location. The boys alerted their dad in regards to their upcoming arrival. The moment they arrived at the venue, they made their mom walk with them until she reached a pathway.

"Follow the flowers," written on the sign in front of her, left her confused looking at her sons, but they persuaded her to just follow the sign. She was hesitant at first, but eventually followed through. As she reached the end, classical music started playing in the background. Heeseung was holding a bouquet of flowers as she walked towards him. "What is this all for?" she asked while he gave her the flowers. "My way of showing you the love that you deserve after all these years," he said as he started to kneel in front of her. "I know our time together in the beginning was rough. It has been nothing but pain and sadness after those events, but I know that was the only way at that time for the boys. But this time around, I wanted to be with you for a lifetime, and I will do everything to keep you and the boys by my side. Yn, will you marry me?" while pulling a ring box in his pocket. She quickly hugged him and uttered multiple "yes" as she grabbed his face to kiss him. He was startled for a moment, but he returned the kiss. She couldn't ask for more, and she wishes to stay like this for a long time.

After almost a year of preparation, the wedding day is finally approaching. It was a day before the wedding, and everyone was preparing for the big day. Everyone is excited, but much more so for the bride and groom. She had invited her father and brother to the wedding, while her father was hesitant to join due to their past. She wanted him to be the one to walk her down the aisle, and he was happy to do so. Sunghoon volunteered to be the ring bearer, despite her thinking he was joking at first.

The big day had come, and everyone was busy preparing for it. As she finished up her touch-ups, she walked to the door where her dad and brother were waiting. Her father saw her in the dress and couldn't help but tear up while complimenting her. Sunghoon hugged her as he wished for her to finally have the life she deserved after all these years. Now, it's time to walk down the aisle and finally meet the groom. As she walked alongside her father, Heeseung couldn't control his tears as he watched her father pass her to him. The ceremony went by, and they kissed. It was a day to cherish for years to come, and they finally got their well-deserved happiness.

CAINE:

I think Caine would struggle with the no touching thing especially since I see him being very affectionate both verbally and physically. That said I do think he eventually gets the hang of it and stops himself from throwing his arms around you for a hug... he amps up the verbal affirmations to make up for it though! He doesnt wanna make you unhappy so hes gonna respect your boundaries and take things slow!

As for when you start easing yourself into it, I think he would try to not make a big deal out of it, as not to risk embarrassing you. As someone who doesnt like touch as well as being hesitant to initiate it, I think I wouldnt want a big hoorah about it you know? But that's just me

He does subtly know hes proud of you for being able to take that step, even if you two are only holding hands via linking your pinkies together

POMNI:

I dont think pomni would be crazy about touch imo, she seems like the type to seize up when you touch her without warning. And I'm not saying that as something to be ashamed of because honestly me too. So I think this is one where you both need to have heavy communication in order to push past that and get used to touching one another ! Team work makes the dream work or however the saying goes

That said imagine you two grab each others hands bc something startles you/you both run from something (be it a prank from jax or an IHA or an abstracted) and you both just

Just like caine she is so so understanding. But unlike caine, she doesnt struggle all that much with trying go restrain from giving you physical affection. Ragatha naturally shows her love through quality time and gift giving, so she doesnt often feel the urge to wrap her arms around you, much less unprompted. Especially with your discomfort in mind

Summary: after Hybe decided your girl group needs a new concept you’re having a hard time changing your image. Could Hoshi just be the dance coach you need?

You did the steps again and again and again and they just weren’t clicking. You huffed in frustration as you furiously drank your water. How after two weeks was this choreo not making sense for you. Everyone else in your group had it down pat at this point but you had to stay late just to keep practicing.

You were a newer girl group under HYBE you’d only debuted two years ago. So far the group had only done cute concepts, and you in fact were the designated cute member. Even though you were one of the oldest members it didnt bother you, you’d been called cute your whole life and you just owned it. But now the company wanted to see something different since the group was beginning to mature. They asked your team to put together a Girl Crush concept.

You weren’t particularly nervous about the group’s shift into maturity, it was probably overdue honestly. All of you were in your 20’s now, and your members were relieved to finally show the fans your sexy side. Your issue was that you didn’t know how to find yours. Your choreographer spent hours yelling at you for dancing like a robot and that he’d never been so let down by you before. You didn’t cry though, you stopped crying when you were a trainee. In this line of work nothing could be taken personally.

So here you were, in the practice room after midnight. You hit the play button on your phone again and let the song blare through the speakers. Again, again, again. You tried to listen to the choreographer’s advice and “learn what makes you feel hot” and to channel that, but you had no idea what that could be for you. You lied on the floor and groaned, you were ready to just be flamed by your members, your staff and the fans for how horrible your performance was gonna be this comeback.

“Shit” you silently cursed to yourself as you pulled yourself up off the floor. You looked at the time, 1am. “Sorry” Hoshi said “I just booked the room for tonight.”

“No you’re fine, I wasn’t keeping track of the time.” You said as you started to collect your things in your duffel bag.

“What’s got you down.” He asked as he put his own things down.

“It’s nothing I’m just having some trouble with new choreo.”

Hoshi looked genuinely surprised “really?” He said “you’re a great dancer.”

You felt your ears get hot, nobody knew it but Hoshi had been your work crush for a while. He had been ever since he helped choreograph your debut song. “Yeah” you continued “it’s just we’re trying something different and it’s just harder for me than I thought it would be.”

“Could I see it? I might be able to help.”

You laughed “yeah sure but not even the choreographer can help me.”

Hoshi smiled “well they aren’t me.”

You took a deep breath as you played your music again and started from the top. You cringed at yourself as you tried to do the sexy moves in front of him. It was already embarrassing to do in front of everyone else, your crush was so much worse though.

You felt your whole body freeze, no one ever calls you that, and suddenly your crush and the hottest idol you know is saying it to you. “I…uhm…thanks.” You weren’t sure what else to say. “I’ll just leave you to it” you said as you picked up your bag.”

“Wait” he said after you “I wanna help.”

You shook your head “I’m not sure, I mean I’m just almost ready to have a bad comeback.”

He took your bag from you and put it back on the floor “absolute nonsense, I was there for you from the beginning I’m not gonna stop now.” You gave him a small smile. He was always so sweet, it was no wonder everyone loved him.

“Alright so really think, when was there a time where you felt really cool and hot, and don’t tell me it’s never happened.” He said. You thought really hard and then it hit you. “Oh actually a few weeks ago I was shopping and I tried on this one dress for fun and I felt…yknow.” You looked down again, why was it so hard for you to just say it.

“Come on y/n don’t be shy, you can’t be if you want to get this dance right.”

You exhaled “I felt sexy.” You mumbled. “Perfect!” Hoshi exclaimed “keep that thought in your head and do the dance again.”

“I took a selfie, do you think if I looked at the picture it could help?” You asked. To your surprise his ears turned red “y-yeah that could probably help.”

You opened your camera roll and found it, you really did feel sexy in that dress even if it was just for fun. Hoshi shuffled closer to you “would it be okay if I saw.” You just silently nodded as you showed him your phone. You felt like this entire encounter with him was so awkward and he’d never talk to you again after tonight. He stared at the picture without saying anything

“I uhm I think it could help me.” You finally said after too long of a silence. Hoshi blinked a few times, as if he’d been asleep and he just woke up.

“Yeah absolutely, let’s see the dance again now!” He said his voice going higher than you’d ever heard before. You ignored it though, you wanted so badly to get this right so you wouldn’t be the laughing stock of your group for the next few months.

You played the song again for what felt like the millionth time tonight. As you danced you tried to shake off the awkwardness, you tried to forget about the cute image you’ve always had. You just thought about how you felt the day you tried on that dress. You looked at Hoshi from the corner of your eye to see if he noticed a difference. He was so quiet and still, he just watched you with a blank look on his face. He’d helped you with choreo before, but he never gave such a little reaction before.

Once you were finally done, and you were panting and covered in sweat from being so tired you looked at him. “Was that any better?” You asked. He nodded, the only thing that moved on his face were his eyes, they had something in them you hadn’t seen before.

“Could I just make a note?” He asked.

“Yeah sure I need all the help I could get.”

He walked close to you “the uhm chorus” he continued “that’s the point move right?”

You nodded.

“I think you just need more fluidity there, yknow pretend your body is made of water.”

You went to the chorus of the song and hit play, the move was a body roll, and he was right you were still a bit stiff. You did it a few more times.

“Would it be okay if I guided you?” He asked.

You could feel that blush creeping back on your cheeks “yeah that’s, that is absolutely fine.” You heard your voice crack, you hoped he couldn’t tell you were nervous. You’d known him for some time but you had never been so close to him until now. He snaked his hands around your waist “play it again” he said close to your ear. You felt goosebumps on your neck.

You played the chorus again, and he used his hands to guide your body in the right way. The move looked much more fluid with his help.

Once it was over you both just stood there staring at the mirror in front of you. His hands were still on your waist, and both of your faces were red.

You turned around to face him, still in his arms. He stared down at you and did something you would have never expected. He kissed you.

You had no idea how long the kiss lasted but you just leaned into it. It felt much more natural than you assumed. He guided you, it almost felt like a dance in itself. Once you finally pulled away from each other you both smiled.

“Sorry” he said “that’s not how I wanted to do that.”

“What?” You asked, had he wanted to kiss you before?

“I mean I like you y/n i probably have since I met you.”

You were perplexed, never did you think Hoshi would like you back.

“I-I like you too, admittedly even before we met.”

He laughed “I knew it, you were a fan so you just had to train at Hybe.”

“Well now you can say you’re my fan.”

He smiled at you again “you got me there, yknow you’re probably my bias.”

“Oh god please never say that again.”

You both laughed. Then his phone pinged. “Shit the guys are on their way.”

“Oh like all of them?”

He nodded “yeeaahhh I came here an hour early to play around with new choreo to teach them but….we know how that turned out.”

“It’s been an hour already?!” You checked your phone and sure enough it was 2am. “Shit I’ve got to get to sleep I have to be at a radio show like crazy early.

You started to rush out but then turned around before opening the door “are you busy this time tomorrow night?”

Hoshi shook his head “nope I’ve got a free night, why do you wanna kiss some more?” He jokingly winked at you. He was such a dork which was also why you liked him. “If you come to my dorm I can cook you a fabulous meal of instant ramen and we can watch some high class entertainment such as anime off a pirated site.”

“Sounds like a date.” You gave each other a smile again before you headed out of the practice room. You were happy you left when you did because you passed by a few members of Seventeen on your way out of the building. You know Hoshi would never hear the end of it if they walked in and you were still in the room.

As you laid in your bed for the night you got a text, you opened it to see it was from him.

some details on what im tentatively calling wizard married au- in which betty is here from the start and happily magic married to her equally deranged husband.

past

like canon, betty flees when simon first wears the crown. however, there is no portal to the future this time. she finds somewhere else to stay, and during that time, she begins researching. she can tell that wasnt normal. surely if it had just been simon, he would have shown some symptoms of whatever that breakdown was. it had to have been the crown.

she pours herself into her research. it saves her life, because a few weeks later the bombs drop.

she uses her research to attain magic powers, a la magic betty. like simon, she obtains immortality. however, she loses her sanity the more she uses her magic.

a while after the bombs, she finally meets simon again. by this time hes picked up a travel buddy- marceline. the two of them are relieved and happy to see each other.

the apocalypse ironically saves their relationship.

turns out knowing you and your man are going insane and losing your memories is a pretty sobering, emotional thing to really grasp. it ends up breaking the wall between them, and theyre finally, finally able to begin sorting out the issues in their relationship.

this is an important moment between them. even when they fully lose themselves, it becomes the basis of their future relationship. betty starts doing things for herself, and simon starts paying more attention so he can stop her if she starts focusing too much on him again.

its never easy, but for a while, they get a sort of peace. a surprise family at the end of the world.

simon loses it first. during the night, when marceline is asleep, he tells betty that he has to go. hes held on longer than canon simon thanks to betty being around, but hes finally slipping, and hes worried hes going to hurt marcy. sure, betty could protect her… but shed be expending her own mind if she did so. betty knew this was coming, and they agree.

simon leaves before marcy wakes up, taking nothing but a scrapbook hed been keeping from before the bombs, and the clothes on his back. they should have waited- its something theyll regret in the far, far future. he should have said goodbye. but they didnt think they had the willpower to go through with it if they heard her begging. at the very least, betty is there to offer support.

betty continues to hang out for several more years. she gets to see marceline grow up. marcy can see with every spell that betty is becoming more reckless, more eccentric, more distant.

betty finally loses herself protecting marceline during a vampire hunt. she holds on just long enough to get herself away from marcy.

and she begins to travel. until one day, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to a land of ice.

they dont remember who simon and betty are. all they know is that hes ice king and shes magic queen and they love each other.

Betty Grof/Magic Queen

basically the “main character” of this au lol

she begins using the name “magic princess” when she can no longer remember her old one. it feels right to her. she changes to queen when she and ice king get hitched. she doesnt use the name “ice queen” because she no longer pins her identity to just simon. shes got her own stuff going on. hes part of her life, but not her entire life.

magic queens not around the ice kingdom as often as ice king. she likes to explore and travel! a huge amount of the books on ruins, dungeons, and artifacts were penned by her, from hands on research. shes well known around ooo as somebody who can be dangerous, but is also a very reliable source of information.

shes more “grounded” than ice king. she doesnt remember anything from before the war, or for a while after it. as far as she knows she just spawned on ooo ready to dungeon dive. still, shes better at retaining information, and can read a room better. shes still pretty eccentric, though, and likes showing off.

magic queen was the one who beat the shit out of ash and got his magic carpet. she doesnt remember marcy, but like ice king, finds herself inexplicably drawn to her. so when ash hurts her, it puts him on her shit list.

speaking of, she can hold a grudge. she ends up cursing finn for a while because he beat up ice king based on a misunderstanding.

shes the one who had the idea for a giant library in the ice kingdom. ice king helped with the room layout, and she collected the books.

magic queens doing a lot better mentally than canon betty was. her relationship with ice king has become way more healthy and balanced. shes happily married. she has 53 penguin children. shes been able to chase her dreams, and her work is acclaimed and respected.

shes still a creecher tho. girl is skittering through those dungeons. does a backflip and shoots fireworks into your eyes. she is very bold and loves doing crazy things just to see what happens.

gets her own “i remember you” episode where she takes marcy dungeon diving.

ice king/simon petrikov

stay at home husband now lmfao

but fr. he fully supports magic queen, but hes a pretty forgetful and clumsy guy, so they both agree that he probably shouldnt be dungeon diving with her.

he keeps things stable at home. takes care of the penguins and writes fanfic and plays music in his free time. hes come to really enjoy creative pursuits, even when hes not particularly good at them.

magic queen puts a gun to your head and forces you to read fionna and cake. ice queen (simone) and magic king (benny) if you even care btw.

mq ended up putting a checklist up in the home to make sure ik doesnt forget to take care of himself. eat breakfast you goof

instead of kidnapping princesses, he goes out often to find things mq has mentioned wanting or needing for her research. sometimes he steals them and it gets him in trouble. if hes being a real jerk mq will only step in to take him home. sometimes that man deserved to get his ass whooped.

hes already nicer and more stable to start out with since he has somebody to talk to whos nice to him. people wonder why magic queen sticks around and if you ask her she will get mad. hes funny!!! and sweet!!! also hes canonically caked up.

My main focus on the 'SIMULATION' that might also have involve tv adware to be doing it all on purpose.

SO UMM- I WAS THINKING...

I was thinking- since meggy lived in a simulation where One Shot Wren made I also thought from the other people's theories from youtube and also here- that- what if the whole SMG4 HAS ALSO BECOME AN ENTIRE SIMULATION RUNNED BY THE TV ADWARE TOO???

I'm just saying- just saying- if it were ever...

Western spaghetti movie is shown how Tari was self aware and is sure enough that she could tell it was a simulation since she is a human robot type.

And in the other of the episodes where tari is after western spaghetti, she seems to appear all scared and weak again. So this might have made me cost another theory- cuz tari got her development from western spaghetti-

Why not in the other episode after that? Literally smg4's new castle is shown where tari and luigi appeared to be scared again- where is her bravery?

And with that said to me- I mightve thought deeper after the ending on WOTFI 2023 TV adware shows up. What makes me rethink about- is that why are bob, boopkins, shroomy, luigi, any hell of the characters are inside of the building and works for Mario?

What if I told you that western hat didnt even made it to the movie? This western hat that belonged to smg4 belongs to him ONLY. And this hat is part of the 'simulation'

Breaking through after meggy's awaken from the pod- where everyone was... they didnt WEAR their western outfits after that.

The first ever time they both wore their western outfits is the first episode before western spaghetti called "Ready to ride?"

Knowing that its already been a simulation from the start seeming that tari knows and tried to break through the thick barrier.

The episode SMG3's bomb cafe showed smg3's lair that he had the western hat. Again. The western hat belongs to smg4. How? Its barely been shown from the episode nor even western spaghetti that smg4 gave him the hat or smg3 stealing it.

It's just right there. A hint. A hint that reminded a simulation they were stuck in.

When SMG3 made this comment. I never thought much about it after my first time watching western spaghetti but now that I repeated it over and over again? I finally came into making a theory.

What if after wotfi 2023 SMG3 is his turn to be the one whose self aware?

Surely you guys know Mario is in prison with Marty (was it?) After getting locked up in jail, Mario doesnt know and he just follows basically anything what marty says. Until. It was shown from Marty's flashback that the notebook was deliberately sent to him on purpose by a printer that also happens to have the SAME exact logo.

Considerately the antagonist TV adware is sure to want and put SMG4's whole crew or lives in danger not by anyone noticing it but us who sees it.

So like during the movie of ITS GOTTA BE PERFECT thats where tv adware appears as probably his minion sent out to SMG4's pc to advertise him a seemingly sing but suspicious keyboard to where SMG4 needed it.

I might've thought about it. When the keyboard affected SMG4 he continues his editing non stop and even put a LIVE cam behind him seeing how many days was it? I dont remember. But the count down.

I may have think- hmm... what if just a single watch from the video while SMG4 is live the people have been hypnotized that their actual bodies were separated to them and that the Tv adware already HAD their bodies but stuck on the new so called simulation that would be on progress.

It may seem prettyyyt suspicious to me cuz

I knew something was definitely up.

Tv adware knows it. They knew everything. They set up pods that were in the exact NUMBER of smg4's crew.

It looked like he NEEDED. Them for something more.

Than just a puppet with or without a string.

He's been there from the very beginning.

Observing. Every move.

I dont know what if SMG3 DID also realized at that moment- where he said it felt like hes been asleep for a 100 years is actually true?

What if he did remembered and broke from the simulation tv adware is holding onto- and started seeing it like how tari did?

Although its impossible it would be if he noticed a pinch of it. He cant just NOT forget about the notebook that mario STOLE from him and put him into jail. And immediately got busted out after wotfi 2023.

Again the simulation cant be brought to the real world. Meaning it has already been brought to the real world before this, and I think tv adware needed this as an opportunity to take hints and also let people notice this small topic.

As said, the simulation and the real world are too complicated. Meaning if the simulation is brought to the realworld it would probably mess up the time or cut its world like a fabric. This is what Tari is surely aware of. The simulation.

Just a wrong doing from messing it up, might lead everything into consequences from the future.

And what if we actually got a bad ending in wotfi 2023? Would there be more screenshow of tv adware? Or do we just keep watching the movie like it never even bothered much?

I just felt it- Tari never wouldve knew tv adware had control over hers as well because she IS living in the real world, like a puppet. And puppets also have temporary strings attached that also leads from her not knowing this is normal. And that nothing is wrong.

The temporary string may have not worked due to Wren's control but tv adware controls EVERYTHING.

final leg of a journey to love thoughts!! (eps 35-40). this got so gd long so under a cut it goes. spoilers, of course:

PLOT STUFF/PACING

pacing for the plot definitely got shredded in the last chunk, which is a damn shame because otherwise i've been finding the pacing pretty much perfect. eps 35-37 in particular felt like they could have been like a 10 episode arc. ep 38, which mostly dealt with wu palace politics, should have been cut or streamlined imo and more time given to the characters we've actually been riding along with the whole story. by the time we get back to the pregnant empress, prince danyang, the first prince whose name i dont even remember, and the prime minister, i do not care about any of them and i think this subplot was simply just trying to fit too much shit into one bag

that said, this show still let the emotional moments hit and breathe and linger. i love the grief for the fallen liudao comrades as we go, as well as the less heavy but still emotionally important moments like yang ying and tongguan bonding over their upbringing. and we got a wedding /;3;/!!! for this show, the relationships and characters matter more than the storyline so im not mad about anything at all

side note: it's so gd millennial to have a story about a bunch of 30 something year olds who want to fake their deaths and retire into obscurity but instead they go and die for a boss they hate

CHARACTER STUFF

this show consistently brought a lot of depth to its side characters (and side side characters!!). i said it in an earlier post, but it bears repeating that even someone like deng hui i didnt expect anything from, but he got such good development and writing that he became a stealth fave. his dying words essentially being "dude, quit fucking around" ? iconic.

i didnt like tongguan as much as everyone else, so im pretty meh about everything regarding him. the attempt to force-wed ruyi was tonally really weird and didnt make sense (i assume there was some cuts made surrounding it). but LOL at him reusing all the outfits and decor immediately for his wedding to yang ying. baby duke, you tacky motherfucker. i ultimately think yang ying deserves better than him, but the good thing is that she knows this, so she'll be able to hold her own and then some entering into this partnership

shisan really was the heart in a lot of ways--the mom to yuanzhou's dad for the liudao. i was not expecting him to break my heart the way he did, but the fact that he held both qian zhao and sun lang as they died and then tried his best to remove yuan lu from harm and saved chu yue and was just very much a nurturer all the way through got me. his character couldve been cheap comic relief but the writing + performance really elevated him into one of the (imo) most memorable wuxia characters. his line wondering who would get to behead his beautiful skull!!! and how his mantra was always that he was going to drink the best wine, see the most beautiful women, and make the best of friends and he dies having lost the ability to see and having just had wine in memory of qian zhao, yuan lu, and sun lang. like. shut up!!

ruyi and yuanzhou were both so great and they're gonna be the drama OTP to beat forever. i loved the gender reversals, that they both were so respectful of each other, and that they also felt very mature in how they handled things and communicated. they were really interesting characters both together and apart and that's always a win-win. they had a schroedinger's ending where it's not super clear if they're alive or dead (i interpreted it as the latter), but what's kind of beautiful is that either option is satisfying to me. if they both died, they're reunited and with their comrades and the story is truly about the journey and the meaningful short connections we have. if they both survived, it's a bookend with the beginning where they each faked their deaths to escape. A+

COSTUMING

i gotta just separately mention the costuming for this show because it was 15/10. the textures, shisan's accessories, the way red became integrated with yuanzhou's wardrobe and blue with ruyi's. the details on the liudao name amulets!! SO GOOD. i love when characters' clothes tell a story on their own

overall i just really loved this drama it is probably my favorite wuxia ive seen so far! it's gonna be in my brain for awhile lol feel free to send fic prompts if you've made it this far :'D

Tyrell unlocked the door to his apartment and walked toward his living room, dropping his work bag in the entrance hallway. "Carlos, I'm home!" He shouted from the living room. Tyrell had a confused look on his face as them playing the PS4 after he got home from work was not a surprise, in fact it was what they did everytime he was done work to wind down a bit.

C: "And you know how you like to play Dan, but he sucks."

T: "Yes..."

C: "Well I found a mod online that could make the characters in the game much stronger."

Tyrell said with slight concern, "I can just uninstall the mod if we dont like it, I dont know why it made it seem so ominous". Carlos pressed 'Yes, I am sure' with little hesitation. A final text box showed up, "Thank you for using our mod, enjoy you're increased strength". It seemed like an odd choice of words but they didnt have time to think about it before a shock came through their controllers. They tried to drop the controllers, but felt frozen in place. Tyrell looked at his hands to see that they were growing. One by one, each finger grew longer and thicker while his hands grew to the size of NBA players, making his controller seem tiny in comparison. The shock he felt in his hands traveled up his arms. As the shock traveled through his forearms, they grew larger than his biceps as thick veins surfaced from under his skin. The feeling ran through his previously skinny biceps, blowing them up out of proportion. His biceps grew to the size of melons, ripping through the sleeves of his work shirt. The transformation continued into his shoulders, making them broaden and further strain his shirt. His traps grew, lifting his shirt up slightly as his neck thickened, popping off the button on the collar of his shirt. Waves of definition pressed against the back of his shirt as the muscles in his back grew to match his broad shoulders. Tyrell felt pressure begin to build under his shirt as his flat chest began to grow. Within seconds, two solid chunks of meat were visible from under his shirt, making it stretch. Tyrell let out a loud groan once the pressure finally released as his meaty pecs broke through the next few buttons on his shirt, leaving his hairy chest exposed. Yo. New to the HoTD discourse. I hope you don't mind me rant dumping on your blog. I'm a bit scatterbrained so I hope I lay out my feelings about these things clearly. I have finally watched HoTD and ....

Listen, I could have liked Rhaenyra well enough, in fact I didn't really mind her in the beginning. But it really all changed once I saw what the audience were saying. How the majority seems to have no sympathy for Allicent at all.

I thought we all understood that no character in Westeros is really all that great?? So I really cant understand the vile hatred spewed towards her? It feels like they even hate her more than anyone ever hated Joffrey or Cersei. People were rightfully angry with the show runners decision to have Jaime r*** her in that one scene. People were capable of feeling empathy for Cersei despite how despicable she is. But there's SOOO much victim blaming for Alicent. It drives me fucking nuts. I really cannot believe my eyes when I see people thinking she willingly seduced that rotten walking corpse.

I was so naive to think people would understand where her character is coming from. She is utterly powerless. She doesn't have a king for a father to pardon every mistake she makes. She's suffocating and it makes sense for her to hate Rhaenyra who has more privilege than any woman who ever lived in that world, and yet still step over every single rule while expecting everyone else to just live with the consequences of her actions. We're supposed to like her??

I GET that the point of it all is that monarchy is just a shitty way to run a kingdom. I GET that Rhaenyra being a terrible ruler is the point. Man or woman it never mattered.

What I don't get is people thinking she's some feminist figurehead?? She behaves as a man does in that universe, entitled and unfit for what they feel entitled to. I get that that's the point, but that doesn't mean she's for the women at all. Like any man, she's out for herself. Why would I like her if she behaves as any corrupt man in that world would, when the only difference is she doesn't have a dick? And I wouldn't necessarily mind that? I don't watch HoTD or GoT for perfect characters. But if only the audience didn't treat her like some sort of hero and Alicent the pure villain.

I never felt frustrated with GoT discourse. Why the fuck does it seem like HoTD has bred this extremely toxic environment? You can't seem to have a different opinion unless your mouths dick sucking on Team Black.

Dany, just as entitled as she was, she was still able to do as duty demanded. Rhaenyra is a just a spoiled child all the way through. The hatred for Alicent and the inability for people to see Rhaenyra for what she is, has me thinking people have really missed the fucking point about what feminism actually is. And once again, I didnt watch HoTD for feminism. But the audience seems to think Rhaenyra is a beacon for it. Wether intentional or not, ideas take on a life of its own and you cannot divorce these fan-imposed ideas from the show anymore. That's really the part of all this that pisses me off.

I'm TG now not because I condone everything they've ever done. Literally everyone fucking sucks. I'm TG because I understand everyone fucking sucks. And I dislike being tube fed by the biased writers on what to think and feel.
