Let’s talk how about Chrom and Robin’s bond evolved over time

With everyone clamoring over the new emblem I wanted to take a look back how we got here with their relationship and why I think at this point Chrobin is the intended or inferred Chrom pairing when it didn’t used to be.

In 2012 we got Fire Emblem Awakening, and as Chrom was related to Marth, his inferred pairing was Sumia a pegasus knight as a nod to Caeda, Marth’s canon wife. Granted because part of Awakening’s charm is you could pair anyone up, you didn’t have to pair Chrom up with Sumia if you didn’t wish to. But to IS she was the intended choice.

She had special scenes with Chrom and was the most likely to end up paired with him if you weren’t gunning for a specific wife for him

And you see her here in the opening with Lucina

Robin is you, the avatar, they don’t even have official art, just them with a hood

They had a canon design what we all know now but it wasn’t really used. And that should have been it as far as IS was concerned. Awakening was their last hurrah. And then FE blew up.

Robin’s canon design is now getting used, both the male and female version are now in Smash Bros. Then we have Warriors and Heroes and the Awakening cast shows up more. But not Sumia. Perhaps it’s because she’s not popular or the people flocked to Cordelia instead but she is the pegusus knight everyone loves. Sumia isn’t even in Warriors or the base FEH she gets added much later to FEH only with other less popular Awakening characters.

It’s here when FE became more maintstream I believe that IS changed their tune on Sumia being the intended wife and retconed it. I fully think Sumia was dropped and they no longer had an intended pairing for him all because she just wasn’t popular. Him and Robin were close of course they always were, obviously some would see it as friendship others would see it as something more the usual nothing really changed there.

And then 2022 ten full years after Awakening’s release...this happened

Couple things here. I fully believe the reason Chrom was paired with MRobin here instead of FRobin is for two big reasons reasons.

1) If they paired him with FRobin it canonizes a pairing so MRobin is the safer option, FEH doesn’t usually pair men and women unless they’re already a pairing. So MRobin got paired with Chrom and FRobin was on her own but she still has lines about how much Chrom meant to her.

2) MRobin is the more popular Robin as has been shown every year in CYL and he’d even win next year

So Chrom and Robin were always close it was a no brainer to make them a duo unit, they picked the male version on a very family oriented banner.

That said some of these lines...well let’s just say if a man and a woman were saying that to each other there would be no doubt here. Imagine if this Robin was the female version

Robin: There's Lissa, Emmeryn, Lucina, Frederick... I think we've got gifts for everyone. Don't we? Chrom: Well, all but one. What would you like your gift to be, Robin? Robin: What? Me? You can't just come out and ask like that, you know. There are rules! Chrom: You know I don't care about that. Just tell me what you want. Robin: Truthfully...I can't think of anything. Chrom: You don't want anything? Aw, come on. Think of the bind that puts me in. Robin: You gave my life meaning when I had nothing—not even my memory. The sense of purpose I've found at your side, working for peace in the world, is all I could ever ask for. Chrom: You're not alone in that, you know. I feel the same way. That's why I wanted to give you something nice. To show you how I feel. Robin: All right, all right. In that case, why don't you give me one of those flowers you're wearing? Chrom: It's only going to wilt. Robin: I'll press it into one of my books. That way I'll never forget this Day of Devotion.

Snippet from their duo convo. Usually when someone gives flowers it’s considered a pretty romantic gesture I’ve heard plenty of people call this alt playfully the gays and yeah this is very strong.

FRobin even comments on them in one of her lines.

“That man with Chrom is a Robin from another world, right? They get along so well, I'm almost jealous...“

There was no need for that line at all, we can tell from their lines how flipping close they are but they felt the need to have another character comment on it in base lines

I do believe MRobin was used not to canonize a pairing...at first. And then they gave up because it looked like people really liked it going even further in the next year.

In Awakening Chrom and Robin refer to themselves as two halves of the same whole which is already a loaded term. But it’s never been used after and was just part of the game

Enter the next time they pair up as the Emblem of Bonds which brought that back for the first time since 2012, in full force

Correct me if I’m wrong but no one besides them have referred to each other as their other half in Awakening

Lucina does it in Engage. For reference other half means husband, wife or partner (romantic). I think after the Valentine’s alt they decided sure why not and now they’re really going in with Robin being Chrom’s other half when they only touched the term once past Awakening in a FRobin cipher card. Other half in Engage is Robin and he pops up when engaged with Chrom to mix magic with the attack. I don’t doubt you can mean a friend with this term but when paired with everything else they say to each other, it’s pretty strong evidence it’s further than friendship.

Okay now for the the ultimate Robin is now Chrom’s intended partner view, Legendary Robin also released this year

I saw some people argue exalt could mean Lucina too but no it doesn’t, it clearly means Chorm it says so and if you didn’t believe that, we got a map that was the two called Chrom and his other half. Which is Robin.

His art also references his other half status, he now wears blueish green jewelry which stands for Chrom and the brand of the exalt is on his chest plate

Finally in his damage art he once again has the symbol of the exalt formed in magic.

And a ring, some have argued it’s his clothes but usually the magic gauntlets he wears are on his middle finger and not under his gloves; pretty sure it’s a ring, it’s even on the ring finger of his left hand, where you generally put a wedding ring.

All this together is some very strong evidence, but put it with everything else they’ve done since last year and it’s clear to me, IS now is pushing Chrom and Robin as the intended pairing. Not canon like Marth and Caeda or Alm and Celica, but intended like they do with Eliwood and Ninian and some others I’m probably forgetting. And because MRobin is who they use and their “canon” sort of like FCorrin is the “canon” Corrin, IS is strongly hinting at MChrobin

Which fascinates me, we went from Chrom with a intended implied wife to scrapping it and pretended it never happened to this, Chrom with an intended husband. Him and his best friend, both two guys, very much in love. In ten years IS changed it’s mind on the intended canon pairing that isn’t even possible in the base game. They are a fate defying duo, the emblem of bonds, the exalt and his other half, two halves of the same whole and they are showing that in symbolism harder than ever. I think that’s really cool

To end this I’m aroace and see romance a little differently from the amatonormic norm Chrom and Robin could just be really good friends lord knows I also think friendship should be just as important as romance BUT if they were, it’s very clear they are each others most important person over any wife they might separately have. But even that doesn’t follow a typical heteronormative relationship no? Chrom and Robin’s bonds are so strong they transcend the concept of romance and friendship as we know it, there is no name for the type of love they share it’s beyond us.

But what about Lucina? (and Morgan) In a world with magic, dragons, people dying and coming back to life, time travel and more the idea of two guys somehow having a child is no longer far fetched at all really, or even surrogates exist.

Also they act like kind of like dads with her and it’s really cute

Now granted IS could remake Awakening and MRobin will still not be able to marry Chrom and this whole analysis would have been for naught but I think if they do remake it they’ll add it. Look at how many people have been introduced to them just through Heroes and Engage you don’t think people are going to want to pair up the exalt and his other half in their game?

To sum it up, yes there literally is no heterosexual explanation for where IS has taken this. It wasn’t originally the intended pairing but it sure is now, I don’t think there is any room for denial anymore until we see what they do with a remake.

It’s really silly but I’m more likely to ship a first gen couple from Awakening if it results in a mildly interesting difference in the father/child convo

like Virion being particularly appalled that Inigo is even more of a relentless flirt than he is, or Gaius offering Noire a candy wrapper to blow her nose into, or Lon’qu calling Yarne’s accusations of cheating absurd because Panne is the only woman he can tolerate, or Vaike being salty that Chrom and Lucina love each other while Gerome wants nothing to do with him, etc.

Some inferences/theories about the Emblems, and the Somniel, based on information in the game:

Emblems aren’t corporeal, but their weapons are and are summoned in - Every Emblem’s weapon involves a physical item, except Alear’s Dragon Fist (for gameplay reasons its a scroll, but in combat it’s shown as bare fists). Alear is the only corporeal Emblem. They likely work the same way sage units can “disappear” their tomes.

Lucina put the hole in the Somniel’s wall next to the training area - Probably caused long before Alear awoke. Lapis leaves to repair a hole in the Somniel’s wall in her C bond with Lucina, and given Lucina’s habit of accidentally destroying things, it seems on-theme for her to have done it.

Sigurd was awake during the 1000 years that the other Emblems were asleep, partially or throughout it - Not much canon basis for this, but as Lumera’s partner Emblem he was probably more in the loop than the others of what was going on.

The Emblems’ gift once every thousand years was going to be used to restore Lumera’s powers - Sombron gained the ability to open a portal to other worlds with the Emblems’ gift, so they could likely restore her Divine Dragon powers. Bringing her back from the dead might have also been possible (their convo on the ship to Elusia, but this was probably about using their miracle).

The well gained its strange connection to the Xenologue world due to proximity to Divine magic - The well is located right under Alear’s room. Lumera spending time there healing him might have left traces on the environment (there are blue roses in Alear’s room, for example, which are an impossible color for them naturally).

The Somniel is made from a piece of Lythos’s landmass that once connected to Gradlon - The Somniel’s shape fits perfectly in the bay of Lythos, and the peninsula of the Somniel was probably attached to Gradlon at the time. Other than the walls, the structures on the Somniel were probably already there before it was put in the sky.

broadly speaking awakening and fates' characters all suffer from being cliches with no interiority. the best characters in awakening (sully, cordelia, laurent, lucina) all have moments in either the story or (more often) supports where they have dialogue and display behavior that implies that there's some level of authenticity to them. it feels so rare when you compare to the majority of the cast being people like virion, gregor, tharja, nowi, kellam, miriel, etc. who are all just "i have a quirky personality and all my conversations revolve around me being quirky". it really makes me not give a shit about most of the cast because they feel like tropes and like they're less talking to each other and more trying to be cliched quirky tropes to each other. so far fates has suffered from that too, it feels like you can summarize everyone with one sentence or even a couple of adjectives. obviously this is subject to change but like. i miss when fire emblem games had characters like renault, knoll, canas, cormag, etc. because they all had really fascinating backstories and/or support convos that explored compelling moral dilemmas or otherwise fleshed out the characters organically. i think basically no support in awakening can rival something on the level of cormag/seth, canas/pent, natasha/knoll, or renault/canas. and that really sucks!

ok this is such a fun question to answer:))) My fates thoughts are really conquest centric bc that’s the route i play and i’m only on my second run so i may be missing some extra stuff but!!!

It’s the awakening trio everything about them has been making me go crazy lately:) They’re just 3 guys who are soooo inseparable because they fought in THREE wars together and they will never know peace:( the other night i got super emo abt them because there’s so much flavor in their entire situation:) knowing you Have to Leave Everyone eventually is such a good conflict and even aside from that they have so many issues i’ve been super brainrotted over those three lately!! Odin is the most mentally stable and ok of the 3 and i think that’s very funny<3

also they canonically have deadnames. go look at the amiibo lucina convos they’re so 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️

I think they get lucky when it comes to fates writing too, which is a plus:) there’s a reason in my 2 runs i’ve done i’ve s supported laslow and odin respectively!

For ones who Aren’t carryovers from awakening, I like Soleil a lot:) she’s my daughter but unfortunately her supports are Like That a lot. she’s super cute though and i still love her!!

All the nohrian royals are my friends and I like them (their situation is super interesting even if it very rarely comes up. but i’ve seen fic writers make some beautiful stuff out of it!) This is helped by them being really good in gameplay:) I have to give a special shoutout to Leo because he’s the reason i’m not cis

Also I like Niles because he’s awesome. my personal little freak<3 I enjoy his issues quite a lot and if you haven’t seen his warriors support with frederick go watch it it’s very funny. It’s just niles riling him up the whole time :)

And mozu but i don’t have any deep reasoning for her i just like villager units and she has freckles:)

Fire Emblem: Awakening's Lucina and Owain have come up before (rightly so, their relationship is cute and canon) but depending on who Owain's uncle Chrom marries, that dictates who Owain's other cousin could be. And he can marry those female cousins too: Cynthia or Kjelle. Their convos remain unchanged from if that character is unrelated to him, meaning they could each be a canon cousin romance. Then Odin (aka Owain incognito) and his daughter Ophelia in FE: Fates are cute too, but non-canon.

FE continued--in fact, depending on who the player marries to who in the 1st generation of Awakening, there are other potential incest relationships. For example, if the player character marries one of Chrom's kids and has a child with them, and then that child could marry the other of Chrom's kids (aka their uncle/aunt), because of time travel shenanigans where everyone is of similar age rn. It's a convoluted mess and it's a treasure. As always, mama Fire Emblem provides.

I remember that because of the cursed auto marriage system, my Female Avatar could not escape not marrying Chrom, which used to infuriates me because I wanted to unlock all the S supports and many others options are only available after chapter 11. On the top of that I hated with a bright passion the random cat fight between Luci and F!Robin in their average support convos. So I though that I could get revenge on Chrom if I made him a grandpa by marrying his kids. But nope. nope. it did nothing. Chrom did not become Morgan's grandpa because of multiverse. It was OG Chrom, the dead Chrom from another universe that become Morgan's grandpa, not Alt!Chrom, our unit, the one we play with, the one who did not die, the one that if he dies on a map creates a game over, the one that needs to be married before chapter 11. I did not get revenge, all I did was punish an innocent side dead character stuck in a map under the form of a Risen because OG Chrom is the dad of the OG kids, Alt Chrom is the dad of the Alt kids but Alt:Robin, our Avatar can only marry the OG kids whose father is OG Chrom and not the Alt kids whose father is Alt Chrom meaning that Chrom will become a grandad only when Alt Lucina grows up and marry someone but that someone cant' be Alt!Robin because Alt!Robin cannot marry the Alt!kids, only the OG!one. Case in points, Lissa will never become a great-grandmother even if Corrin marries Ophelia because Ophelia is not her granddaughter. Ophelia is OG Lissa's granddaughter, not Alt!Lissa grand daughter.

At least when you marry Cyntia, Kjelle, Inigo or Brady, Lucina really is Morgan's aunt.

When I think of Awakening, i remember the parent/child convos. They were awful. they destroyed literally any ship. Morgan and Lucina's sibling conversation in jap dub as Morgan being OOC cause out of the sudden he hates bugs, then he remember Lucina, he who is amnesiac, holding Falchion, then he avances the hypothesis of being from another future while Lucina seems to imply they stayed together... Owain's A support with M!Robin still makes my head hurts since Risen only appeared after Grima came back so how could Owain see Robin disappear without knowing they were Grima is beyound me. I still dont' get why Nah would end up with abusvie foster parents when she could have ended up being taken by the Exalt family survivors if Robin is her dad. For some reason, our kind M!Robin becomes a hardass when he is Inigo' s dad which doesn't fit his character at all. Severa says in her B support she is a only child. The list GOES ON.

that's laziness, babey! this is what happens when you recycle supports and it sucks ass. all the dad supports are BAD.

i do like the FP parent-child convos because they're actually tailor made to the specific dad.

my playthrough had henry!inigo cuz i love henlivia but you seriously expect me to believe goofy cant take literal murder seriously henry would read his own son to filth and rattle off a laundry list of issues? are you, as the kids say, For Real?

tis just one issue with awakening ig. and one reason i didnt use the child units much. they came underleveld compared to where i was at in the game so morgan and lucina were the only ones i used consistently, lmao. people say they're strong but i just,,,,, didn't invest in them. at all. morgan shreds though.

since i have not played en/gage i dont know that much about alear to make proper connections to the whole divine dragon thing but going thru the conversations chrom did state that divine dragon is a name shared among different realms for different figures.

but yeah the conversation didnt give more insight just that they have a similar vibe to each other?? nothing i can take from here to add to my portrayal.

i would like once again tell everyone that chrom is super friendly but not with that serious ready to stab you face. it is a running gag from other franchises and im glad they started to pick on this and use it. tbh i like this part of chrom. he looks unapproachable but then he opens his mouth (and smiles at you) and you wonder how a blue muffin can have that serious face.

oooh this. thiiiiis. honestly i will say this over and over that chrom was not given the proper time to grieve for his sister in the game; from battle to battle and then rushed back to the castle to assume his duties as ylisse representative--not exalt, but representative in respect to his sister. chrom knows how it is important to properly grieve. for chrom, he was lucky to have the people around him. lissa is an important part not mentioned a lot and u can tell in the spa convo when lissa told emmeryn that when she cam back, chrom 'finally cried' ... sigh. anyway.

this is cute tbh. chrom is not the guy to judge you for your fears even if they dont make sense, he knows to each their 'weakness'. chrom got his own weaknesses so he cannot act like he is better than anyone. MINUS IF YOU ARE LUCINA AND MORGAN FIGHTING A COCKROACH AND YELLING LIKE THEY WERE HOUNDED BY RISENS!!! IM LOOKING AT YOU, PUNKS! ahem. yes. he understands your fears. also i wanted a joke about him being a spirit himself ..haha. you guys miss a lot of jokes in these convos...

diamant convo

this is probably my favorite convo so far?? it has a core, a problem the character is concerned about, chrom is not being goofy and actually gives out advice; shares his experience. even before watching the whole thing this convo made me pause, rewatch it again and nod along. it's this moment i feel like chrom has a little brother he wants to impart his knowledge of what is like being a ruler.aaaaaaaaa it is precious. i love certain words linked to chrom like freedom. he was free to pursue what he want; learn what he want, travel, and form the shepherds ... Emmeryn gave him this freedom to be himself--to discover himself. he wants everyone to have this freedom, too. sigh... i could go over this in a long article but lets keep things simple. if u wanna more stuff check the headcanon page for the shepherds' meta hc.

i did buy fates! ive only finished birthright so far but im gonna try to make my way through the other two routes in fates at some point. havent played any other games outside of awakening and fates tho!

oof so far i have a soft spot for Fem unit and gaius + fem unit and stahl. im still deciding who im gonna romance (usually i go chrom bc im basic but i love the in-game friendship between him and mc), but reading through both convos before the S support have been cute in their own ways 🥰

outside of the mc im not sure since ive been preoccupied keeping chrom away from any woman he can romance so tht i could set olivia up w him (ppl say she sets lucina up with some v good skills so 💕) so maybe ill report back after i read through some other supports!! 💕💕

Wait Morgan always comes from a different timeline even when they have siblings ?

Arf... well see that's the problem with Morgan.

No matter who Robin will marry, they will always be hinted as comming from an alternate timeline notably in their ending.

Ironically, when Robin marries anyone who is not a 1st gen, Morgan's existence is much less of an headscratch. To be fair though, when F!Robin marries a 1st gen other then Chrom she only has one child so Morgan can still come from another timeline then Lucina's without any problem. But whenever they got a sibling it's where things start to get wonky.

So basically, no matter who Robin does marry, Morgan will always be the youngest of the generation, yes even slightly younger then Nah who in the Harvest event say that she is about the same age as Morgan. And they are basically just mini Robin so around 15 year old (which match with how Kozaki draws character aroung the age of 14). However and that's where things start to get wonky, it doesn't macth up with the events. All of Morgan's support with any of their sibling will revolve around them trying memory back safe for M!Morgan since he just have the generic support convos for any of Lucina's potential sibling. However, in the Future past DLC which is the hinted timeline where Morgan comes from, we learn that Morgan grew up with Robin at the time they were still kind and all before fusing with Grima and then becoming Grima's loyal allies until they are eventually defeated and that Grima send them in the Awakening timeline having sealed their memories or possibly (which is the interpretation favored by the japanese fanbase of Awakening) that the other Morgan is the one who sealed away and send the other in the Awakening timeline. So should Morgan have a sibling this means that Morgan was kidnapped by Robin once they awakened as Grima... why doesn't their sibling, like any of them never questionned that ? Like why doesn't they have a moment where whoever is Morgan's sibling question they younger sibling on why they vanished ?

And not to mention it contradicts some of the other kids backstory. Like Nah. According to Nah, her father and mother died when she was very, very young and then send to a family that would mistreat her... how does Morgan fits into this exactly ? Another example is Owain... oh boi. Basically the writers wrote off that Owain's father would take an arrow for him when they are off chasing Risen...however Risen appears only AFTER Grima came back so... how the heck can that work with Robin ? Any supports that Robin and Morgan have with the 2nd geneation as parents and child feels wonky because of how the writers clearly, obviously just decided to copy paste a default conversation they choose for the kids unto Robin and Morgan regardless of whether or not it make sense. And in the case of Lucina, it makes even LESS sense.

Basically quick math, when Chrom died Lucina was about 5 year old since it's supposed to have happened 10 years early and when she arrived in the past she is 16 and then 2 years pass and Lucina reach the 18-19 years. None of the future children safe maybe Lucina EVER meet either Chrom or Robin, they only heard of them/known of them. By this logic... Morgan never knew his mother when she was kind and all, but only when it was Grima sama. Not mentioning that again, if Morgan vanished... maybe Lucina should mention it ?

Basically their whole existence is a clusterduck that originates from someone at Intelligent System thinking "hey what if we gave our player their very own children from the future to cherish and love" and then arranging a bunch of stuff but really the only way to make sense out of this mess is that Robin has only one kid.

It was funny to me that some fans really though their Robin ships could be canon. Asides from the fact that the parent/child convos ruined and destroyed any Awakening ships due to bad writting and trying to explain Morgan. The spotpass and paralogues ships are debatable in terms of logic but they sometimes barely makes sense in terms of plot wise, like how do the Shepherds have time to beat up Gangrel again when they got teleported on Grima's back. The 2nd gen ship explain Morgan without it being a headscratches but it makes the story unnecessarily complicated with this whole "Yeah techinally even if you marry Lucina Morgan won't be Chrom's grandchild because Chrom's daughter will never have to travel back in time and hence will never fall in love with Robin hence will never marry him, hence Morgan won't exist meaning that Morgan is stuck in a timeline where Chrom will never become her grandfather because his daughter will never becomes her mother meaning that Chrom won't be a grandfather until baby Lucina grow up and marries someone but this someone can't be Robin because Robin is already married to Lucina and has Morgan but Morgan still exist in this timeline because Robin was able to marry Lucina due to time travel since Lucina comes from a time where she is an adult women that lost her parents and got her world destroyed by an evil version of her husband who is now the subject of lust of many players due to his torso..." this sounds like a bad fanfiction. But the worst part is that it is Olivia, Lissa and Cordelia's fate if any member of the trio married someone in Fates

To be honest the plot of most FE games sound like silly fanfiction, expect for Tellius and Genology, but just remember spotpass, and dlc and the ability to even marry these people are because of fanservice. You could also argue none of the kids besides Lucina are needed for story reasons so they too are fanservice.

That's why all this stuff, rescuing Gangrel, Emm actually being alive it's all just there for the player. Generally when I take a look at elements of games, I try to look at just what the plot and characters say and if you took this away how would it affect the game?

Fates is a great example. You don't need the 2nd gen at all, they have nothing to do with the plot of the game. So while there are some kids I like if I look at Fates's plot and world, I ignore the kids, they don't add anything

Chapters Six through Eight & Paralogue Two

In which Alear recruits some redheaded thieves and we enter Brodia. (Actually, we gain a lot of redheads.)

That delivery on “Come again?” from Alear was real funny to me.

Since I don’t really play FEH with the sound on, it didn’t hit me that Manuela and Micaiah are both voiced by Veronica Taylor until just now when Micaiah spoke and I was like “that’s Manuela!”

And now we have “Heal us, Emblem of Dawn!”

I had a feeling Yunaka was the one who stole the ring given her reaction to Alear entrusting it to her upon retrieving it from that bandit.

And here we have another encounter with Veyle. She’s a cutie.

Onto the next paralogue!

While I am not into Robcina at all (I am rather neutral towards it) I kind of understand why some people though Instys was pushing it. Their support convos is solid, their S support doesnt feel rushed and is kinda cute, their interactions shows that they work as a couple. But that asides I never thought once it was canon since the only relevance it has is to obtain a monstruous Morgan and unlock all the S support of the games. Oh, and if you like Lucina enough to marry her. I forgot about that.

I agree it works fine if you only go by the support convos but there's a plot on top of it. Which is, as much as I've seen "FE is lately making Robin too dependent on Chrom" complaining, that's the plot. The plot of Awakening is how Robin's bond with Chrom changes fate and saves not just his life but the world. It's a cheesy ass anime plot. Lucina could have killed him and was ready to but Chrom steps in and stops her because he trusts Robin that much. So I don't really understand the complaints they're focusing too much on Robin and Chrom lately, did we observe the same game???

Anyway Robin and Lucina was never pushed, because once Awakening was done and FE blew up it was never mentioned again and no "Lucina I hope I didn't hurt you" from Smash doesn't count. That's Robin's character, he's a good boy and Lucina and him are from the same game. Female Robin "How can you protect Chrom if you can't protect yourself" is much harsher but if anything it was a small reference to the male and female avatars having slightly different personalities, (to this day they're the most varied) If they were gonna touch on it they could have in the drama CD but they didn't because in the context of canon Awakening with Robin as his own character it makes no sense. It's just fanservice. Most of the ships are as tend to be in a marry anyone format but that one really butts heads with the canon. Which is why I think they never referenced it again. If Awakening gets remade of course they'll keep it, they have no reason not to but in everything else? Not a thing.

It's also hilarious that we went from "I'll kill you to prevent my fathers murder." To "I feel self conscious fighting my father's other half!" Girl you were ready to kill him in your own game don't give me that.

But that's another example of how evolution happened over time
