TREAT! 100 ft Away Mikey and Raph >:3
Thank you Wren for indulging me by asking about my babies c:
100ft is divided into two arcs, escape arc and recovery arc (you know, in the hypothetical future where I actually write the fic lol). Because Mikey and Raph are separated for escape arc, this is set in recovery arc. That means it's a spoiler but eh... I'm just releasing things about this AU when I feel like it haha. Skip it if you want to, though.
To give you a quick idea of where the boys are at coming into this arc, Mikey has been pretty aggressively asserting his independence from Leo (much to Leo's dismay) because he knows it's better for both of them, and Leo is also upset that Mikey is trying to get closer to Donnie and Raph, who he views as dangerous. Meanwhile, Raph and Donnie have gotten pretty close; Raph is still in a dissociative state where he doesn't talk and he still acts pretty animalistic, but he's improving the more Donnie, April, and Splinter interact with him.
Anyway no real warnings for this one.
---
Mikey stares at his ceiling, fingers tangled up tight in his blanket. The last tendrils of the nightmare curl cold around him, chasing away any hope of returning to sleep.
There's a steady drumbeat in his pulse telling him to go to Leo.
But he can't go to Leo. He can't, because having separate rooms was his idea. If he goes to Leo with every trouble he has, they'll fall right back into the same routine they've had the last ten years. They'll never move forward.
He knows all that. But he's scared. His heartbeat is loud and the room is so dark and he's terrified and more than anything he wants his big brother.
And it occurs to Mikey for maybe the first time that he has other big brothers here.
Leo wouldn't be happy about it. But what Leo doesn't know won't hurt him.
Slowly, carefully, Mikey crawls out of his hammock, dragging his blanket with him. The concrete floor of the sewer is cold, but it's not much different from the rock back in the facility. The familiarity doesn't really help with the terror in his veins.
He creeps out past his curtain and into the atrium. Artificial light streams in through the glass above, shining down on the big space and the swirling water. It's quiet in here, only the faint sound of Splinter's TV filtering in from the other room. It occurs to Mikey briefly that he could go there instead, but he still feels a little awkward with Splinter. And he doesn't want to worry him, anyway.
He creeps along the walkway, careful to be especially quiet as he passes Leo's room. He wouldn't be surprised if Leo is awake; he never looks like he slept more than a couple hours every morning. If he finds out Mikey is up, it'll be all over.
But he makes it past the blue curtain without attracting any attention; relief spikes through him, and he barely holds back a sigh.
The red curtain is next in line, and this one Mikey draws back.
Raph's is the biggest of the alcoves they're using as rooms; appropriate, since he dwarfs the rest of them. Even now, after a full month, Mikey's still shocked by how huge Raph is. He could easily crush any of them if he wanted to.
And yet he's gentle. He's never been anything other than careful with them. No matter what Leo thinks, their big brother is still in there. That, Mikey's sure of.
He creeps into the room, letting the curtain fall closed behind him, and surveys the room. Raph has a big bed, but he's laying on the nest of pillows and blankets they've made for him instead. He doesn't seem to understand the purpose of the bed, and they don't push it.
It's not unoccupied, though; Mikey can just see the tip of Donnie's snout where it peeks out from under a pile of blankets. He used to sleep buried in the mud at the bottom of his enclosure; maybe the blankets feel the same.
Donnie isn't afraid of Raph; Donnie sleeps in here more often than he does his own room. That gives Mikey courage, and he moves further into the room.
He freezes when Raph suddenly stirs, raising his head and opening bleary eyes, sniffing the air. He's not aggressive, just curious, trying to figure out who's there.
Mikey lets out a soft chirp, because Raph seems to understand that better than speech.
Raph sniffs a little longer, then lets out a soft chuff. Then he rolls onto his side, making space.
Mikey takes that as his cue to dive into the blanket nest.
Ever so gently, Raph settles back down on his stomach next to Mikey. He wraps one arm around Mikey, pulling until Mikey is cradled close to his side. He gives Mikey one more snuffle, making Mikey giggle, then chuffs again and lays his head back down.
Mikey feels warm and cozy and safe wrapped up under his big brother's arm. The last of the nightmare fades away, a comfortable drowsiness taking its place.
Mikey falls asleep hugging Raph's arm.

My sincerest apologies for this vent, but I just have to say it for the One and a Half Futures Au.
I can’t stop thinking about what the guys would feel if they lost the war for a second time and Leon dies in the process - likely saving everyone else at the cost of his own life- with the survivors of the resistance ending up in a post-movie timeline.
They find out that Leo’s original plan to save Raph and stop the Krang has worked, and that all these years and sacrifices during the course of the second resistance were all for naught.
They had the solution right in front of them, and they threw it to the ashes. They could have spared everyone so much suffering if only they listened to Leon instead of siding with the future one. They could have saved Raph, Leon, got their old lives back and Casey would have lived free from war… But nope! They took Future Leo’s side and let Leon take the pain all these years for nothing.
Half-Future timeline Donnie is extra protective of current timeline’s Leo. He knows he’s not his original twin, and that these new Leo and Raph are not replacements for the brothers they’ve lost, but he feels so guilty for taking Future Leo’s side over his own twin and unwittingly enabling the abuse that followed that Donnie goes feral if Future Leo dares to be within a 10 feet radius distance from current Leo. Donnie hisses. He growls and bares his teeth. He makes it clear that Future Leo is NOT to come close or interact with new Leo in any way, and no amount of validation is going to keep Donnie quiet this time. Future Leo already screwed up one version of Leo. Like hell will Donnie let it happen again!
And thing is… Future Leo IS genuinely remorseful for everything. To think he could have solved everything he strived for if only he let Leon do his thing. Man, the guilt for screwing up not just one time line, but TWO?!
And he really wants to make amends. He knows it won’t fix anything, he has no right to, and it will never undo the damage he’s caused, but he does want to apologise, especially to Leo, even if he’s not the same turtle. He genuinely wants to help Leo be a good leader in the right way, but Donnie makes it clear that if F!Leo dares to come anywhere near current Leo, he’ll bite his head off.
The present family has no idea how to navigate this whole situation - provided they don’t know all the details of what transpired in the other timeline - and now current Leo is stuck in the weirdest custody battle ever.
There. I’m done. I apologise again for the venting. Bye!🏃💨
You know what? Screw it, I was probably never going to finish the comic up to this point anyway.
Tumblr media
Good news! You're right! Better news, Leon survives!
They end up going back to the past(to an alternate timeline I suppose) after Leo manages to save everyone from the Kraang attack. There's no Kraang, no war, just the crushing realization of one man's decisions.
How you describe Donnie is exactly how Leon would be with his younger self. Old man Leo is not allowed anywhere near the kid.
And yes he does feel guilty. He was able to overcome his guilt in the second timeline by pushing it all onto Leon. Now he goes back in time and discovers not only would Leon have saved the world, but that Leo was the one that actively stopped him.
He needs to apologize, he knows he does. But he doesn't think he deserves to. Ultimately isn't it better to let Leon focus all his anger onto him so Leon can live his life free of guilt?(It's not, but when this man reaches rock bottom he grabs a shovel and keeps on digging)
No one in the family knows how to deal with this. They have future versions of themselves running around(There would be four versions of Casey jr alone!). With three Leos. The future family knew Leon's relationship with Leo wasn't great but they're starting to suspect there's more to it with how hostile he is about letting Leo anywhere near his young counterpart.

The Selection AU- 11th time’s the charm
Everybody knows Maria di Angelo. Everybody loves Maria di Angelo. And Nico, the only heir to all her messes, is sure he will forever live in her shadow.
When people look at Nico, they see Maria di Angelo’s son. And truly, there’s not much else to see. He sings beautiful songs, but hers were better-written. He does ballet, but her on-stage persona is impossible to replicate. He leads a lonely life, and people don’t know hers wasn’t much different.
Nico isn’t surprised when he’s called for Prince Will’s Selection. He half-expected it. So he goes to the Golden Palace where the Solaces live, and enters with his head held high. People don’t know who he is yet, all the feedback he’s received comes from the Academy of Arts, where he’s spent the last ten years of his life. He’s twenty now, and he will graduate in June. When he’s honest to himself, he admits to feeling scared of the future.
He isn’t the only student of the Academy who’s taking part in the Selection. There’s also Drew Tanaka, who used to be Nico’s best friend, in a time that feels very far away. They — Nico and Drew — aren’t the only students who had submitted to the process of the Selection, but they’re the only ones who have been chosen. It’s the Small Council who chooses the participant of the Selection, taking people from all across North America, which is partly ex-Canada and ex-US.
Nico sighs as he’s lead to his room. He feels weighted down, like someone’s placed an enormous rock over his shoulders. He should have known better than to let the Academy Headmistress, Alecto, submit him. His whole past will be brought up, he will be scrutinised in the worst of ways in front of the whole country.
Before he left the Academy — where he won’t return until Prince Will sends him home, or until the Selection finishes — Alecto gave him a letter from his father. Sitting on his bed, he turns it in his hands, without opening it. He hasn’t talked to Hades in almost a year, since his father went and moved to the Republic of Athens, on the other side of the world.
At the end, he doesn’t find the courage to open the letter. He places it in the nightstand and decides to undo his luggage. He’s doing great, until there’s a knock to the door. When it opens, a guy about as tall as Nico and with curly, brown hair stares back at him. He has brown skin, and a loopsided smile.
“Hi,” the boy says. “I’m Leo Valdez. It seems we’re suite-mates. I checked the other rooms, we’re the first to arrive.”
Nico gives the other a small smile. “I’m Nico.”
Leo raises an eyebrow, entering the room and closing the door behind himself. “Just Nico? I thought you’d have a surname. Are you a lord or something? You look kind of regal.”
Nico laughs. “I’m not. Di Angelo, by the way. That’s my surname.”
It’s the first time Nico has to introduce himself. Everybody knew who he was at the Academy, the same way as he knew everybody else.
Now, Leo raises both eyebrows. He has an expressive face. “As in Nico di Angelo the son of Maria di Angelo?” He lets out a low whistle. “That’s impressive.”
Nico shrugs, putting away one of his shirts. He had to buy clothes before coming, at the Academy he only ever wore his uniform and his dance-clothes.
“We’ll be meeting more impressive people,” he says.
Leo concedes. “True. What do you think he’ll be like? The prince, I mean. He always seems kind on the tv.”
Maria also seemed kind on the tv, and maybe she was, but Nico would always remember her screaming when Hades had to return to Persephone, his actual wife. Nico looks away. He can’t bear Leo’s hopeful eyes.
“I hope he will be,” Nico says.
On Sunday, all the contestants have arrived. Boys and girls alike, as per the prince’s preference. They are placed in the Tower of Dawn, in the east wing of the palace. At the ground-floor, there are the breakfast room, the music room and the relax hall, where they can simply spend their time doing whatever they prefer. There’s also a piano, which Nico approaches. He doesn’t have the time to brush his fingers on the keys, before Drew sweeps behind him.
“Di Angelo, spare me!” She says. “Not one of your depressed ballads again.”
A few people — who seem to have befriended Drew — snicker. A few others stare shocked after the revelation of his surname.
It’s not that Nico is ashamed of being a di Angelo. He just doesn’t go around telling everybody he is. But tonight, when they are presented at North America’s News with Piper McLean, the whole nation will know.
“You’re right, your sex-anthems are much better,” he replies.
Drew rolls her eyes. Truth is, Nico doesn’t mind Drew’s songs. He likes a few of them. Granted, none have been officially released, but the Academy is a small school, and everybody knows everybody’s work. Alecto even wants them to collaborate on something before they graduate.
“Don’t be a bigot,” Drew says, bringing Nico back to reality.
“So, you two know each other,” a girl named Annabeth will later tell Nico, once they’re having supper.
Nico almost scoffs. Know is too little a word to describe their relationship. Nico feels Drew like he feels his limbs, she’s been apart of him for the last ten years of his life. And Nico managed to throw it all away with a harsh decision.
“We go to the same school,” he replies instead.
Leo whistles, something he seems keen on doing, though it goes against palace etiquette. He probably doesn’t know, as Nico reasons.
“I bet her teenage years were a handful,” Leo says.
Nico grimaces. “So were mine. But it was fun.”
Partly fun, as he reminds himself. His teenage years are the ones in which he’s lost the most. He lost his Bianca. But they were also the years in which he ran up and down the halls of the Academy with Drew on one side and Rachel on the other, gossiping and sharing their deepest secrets and fears. Rachel is still friends with Drew, they’re still close. Nico wonders what they say about him.
A clap of hands, clearly to attract everybody’s attention. It works. Nico turns to the head of the table, to see a man on a wheelchair staring back at him, if only for a split second. Nico has a feeling he knows the man, thought he can’t place him.
“Good evening everybody,” the man says. “I am Chiron, and I will be your supervisor during your stay. Should you need anything, you come to me. I’m sure you’ve heard the rules already, but I will repeat the most important ones. If you abstain, you will be sent home. Number one: no getting physical with other contestants. By that I mean both fighting and having sexual intercourses.”
Nico blushes at Chiron’s words, looking away. He catches Drew’s eyes, who mouth at him, ‘Prude’. He clenches his fists, and brings his eyes back to Chiron.
“Number two: no relationship is allowed with the staff. By that I mean you cannot have physical or emotional attachments to any of the palace staff, guards included. Number three: what the prince wants, the prince gets. If what he wants is to send you home, you will be sent home. If he wishes to keep you here, you will be kept here. If he wishes to have time alone with you, he will have it.”
Nico’s ears start ringing. He’s sure Chiron lists other rules and explains how they will have to behave at the interview, but he’s not listening anymore. He can only think of rule number three: what the prince wants, the prince gets. Nico has never been put in a place where he couldn’t deny himself, but now he feels he’s faced with the harsh reality of life. Sometimes, there is simply no way out.
Dinner resumes, and dessert is brought to the table. Nico exists the room, leaving his new acquittances very confused. He needs air. He can’t breathe, and this damn shirt he’s wearing is too tight on the neck.
Finally, he reaches the glass doors to the gardens, but before he can even phantom what’s happening, his path is blocked by guards.
“You can’t go out at this time of the night, sir,” one says. He’s an Asian man, and for a moment Nico thinks of his father’s bodyguard, Frank.
“I need air—” Nico tries to explain. His voice is raspy, his eyes glassy. He doesn’t know how much longer he can resist.
“What you need is none of our problem,” the other guard, a woman, says. “We need to protect you. And that is what we’re doing.”
Nico opens his mouth again, but only a pained sound comes out.
“Let him through,” a voice comes from behind. “I order it.”
In his daze, Nico turns and vaguely recognises the figure he sees as Prince Will. He doesn’t care much, however.
The doors are pulled open and Nico steps outside. His lungs fill with air, more than he thought they could contain.
“I hope you’re doing better,” Prince Will says, evidently having followed Nico outside.
Nico startles. “I am. Your Highness. Thank you.”
His words come out robotic, but he means them. Without the prince, he would have probably ended up in the infirmary.
“You are the first contestant I meet,” the prince says, stepping closer.
Nico takes a step back, but all too soon his back meets a column’s marble. He’s trapped, and what the prince wants, the prince gets.
“Am I?” Nico says, more to himself than to anybody.
“Yes, I was wondering whether the quarters were of your—”
That is when Prince Will commits a mistake. He gets too close, too friendly, and Nico isn’t used to it. Alecto always told him: people will want to be you, or they will want to bed you. And Nico doesn’t want that at the moment, and there’s no other way out really. So he does the only logical thing: he knees Prince Will right between his legs.

Hello, well, I really have to ask you something because doubt has been eating away at me since I started imagining the situation, How do you think your evil versions of the turtles will interact with Casey Junior? (Either in the past or in the future)
Thank You for reading me (and for answer me if You do)
Ooooohhh that’s a very nice question (and no thank you for asking!! I love when people ask me about my fave au i ever made dhhdhxhx <3333)
Ngl I never thought how they’d interact with him at all, cause Villainous brothers’ story will differ a lot from canon, the whole “Krang invasion” isn’t exactly gonna happen the same way it did in the show, so the whole “Junior goes back in time to save the future” isn’t gonna happen
I mean, speaking realistically, the turtles are far from the heros of the story, they’re gonna be the protagonists yes, but a protagonist isn’t necessarily a hero/good person
But back to the subject, while I don’t have plans to include Junior in the story of VB, it’s still fun to explore the what ifs
So to be clear, it’ll end up really REALLY bad for Junior if he were to meet Mikey or Donnie first, Mikey is extremely aggressive and a tiny bit sadistic, he might attack Junior just for the fun of it, but at the same time, he may not actually attack him at all
Mikey might actually start pretty well with Junior, but suddenly outta nowhere start attacking him
That’s exactly what makes Mikey the most dangerous, he’s unpredictable and with the frozen smile on his face, it’s hard to actually read his emotions, and unless he invites Junior to a tea party, which is Mikey’s way of declaring someone has made it into his circle of family/friends, he’s not to be trusted at all, cause trusting him before his invite is an immediate death wish
However, if Junior somehow managed to amuse Mikey enough to form a connection (which is rare but possible) Mikey can actually become Junior’s greatest leverage against Mikey’s brothers in case they wanted to harm him, as once Mikey considers someone a friend, they’re instantly under his protection (and believe me none of his bros are gonna try their luck to hurt Junior once Mikey invites him to a tea party xgxhxhhzh)
As for DonDon, he has that unrivaled hate for humans, and unlike Mikey, Donnie would make it pretty clear from the beginning that Junior is gonna either end up a lab experiment, or a mutant, DonDon would definitely start attacking without question, and the thing is with Donnie, he’s an unpredictable fighter, Mikey is more unpredictable when it comes to his emotions/behavior, but he follows a routine when using his powers, even if occasionally fights outta the box, Donnie is the opposite, he follows a routine when it comes to his emotions/behavior, but when it comes to his fights you can never be sure what he’d do, his fighting style is both calculated yet messy so it’s safe to assume Junior is absolutely going to lose if he doesn’t think very quickly of an escape
There’s no chance Junior would be able to make any kinda connection with DonDon, neither is DonDon relenting and helping introduce him to his bros, so it’s definitely better if Junior doesn’t encounter him until he becomes part of the family
Raph is a bit of a complicated case, Raph would be extremely suspicious of Junior and he’d definitely act coldly towards him, immediately warning Junior not to overstep and try his luck, and to stay far away from his family, but he wouldn’t go outta his way to hurt Junior for no reason
Raph doesn’t attack someone unless provoked in most cases, so while Junior would definitely be safe from harm in Raph’s case, he would not get far in terms of forming any kinda connection with him or even through him to connect with Raph’s younger brothers
So i’d say Raph’s a hopeless case, that is unless Junior does something to help/save one of Raph’s bros, that might convince Raph to give him a chance, but he’d still be under Raph’s watchful eyes
In Leo’s case, I’d say he’s the easiest to form a connection with, Junior’s chances of Leo listening to him and actually giving him a chance is very high, the thing is with Leo tho is how calculated he is, Leo is a very good actor, so while yes he’d form a connection withJunior in no time, it’s most likely cause he gets something out of it, Leo is terrifyingly manipulative, so i’d say Junior’s in for a bad time if he trusts Leo way too blindly, that of course doesn’t mean Leo is never genuine, but it’s always hard to differentiate between a manipulative act, or a genuine action
Leo would most likely hold no actual attachment to Junior at first so he’ll most likely manipulate him to get what he wants, and Leo’s really good at lying, so you can imagine Junior’s shock when Leo immediately abandons him the moment Leo gets what he wants, to put it simply, Leo’s untrustworthy
If Junior actually gets to know the family through Leo, that’d be bad, as DonDon would be adamant to have Junior as a lab experiment or Mikey feeling a bit too trigger happy that day and Leo would not stop either of them, he’d let them have their way with Junior, not even outta malicious intent he just doesn’t care about this boy he just got to know
Funny enough, Junior would only be truly safe to get to know the family if it was through Mikey, or Raph, cause even if it’s dangerous with Mikey, or difficult with Raph, both of them are extremely protective of who they consider family and would not allow any harm to come to Junior once he makes it in the family circle, not any harm by them or by the outside world
So you can absolutely tell Junior’s journey to get to know the family is not going to be an easy one, but if he manages to become family before getting killed, then he got nothing to worry about :D

tmnt au!! im gonna copy paste the details from my notes so sorry if its messy. it goes over the details for the AU and my Mikey’s backstory. im gonna make Future Mikey’s (aka 22 year old mikey) design later. some of the mental health details for mikey are based off of what i learned in my high school health class with family relations
——————
Breeds:
mikey - (eastern) painted turtle
leo - red bellied short necked turtle
donnie - snake necked turtle
raph - philippine forest turtle
Heights - Tallest to shortest
Donnie (5’8)
Raph (5’5)
Mikey (5’4)
Leo (5’0)
roles are same as 2012
Lgbtq/Pronouns
Leo - Transfem (mtf) - she/her
Raph - Cis - he/him
Donnie - Bisexual - he/him
Mikey - Pansexual + Genderfluid - depends on what day - Mia on girl days Mikey on boy and non bi days - but sometimes likes to be called Max on non bi days
Ages
Mikey (he’s 2 years older cause of dimension X)
Leo
Raph
Donnie
Hobbies/Activities
Mikey - drumming, graffiti/drawing, skateboarding, parkour, cooking, hiking, skitching
Donnie - gardening, inventing, chemistry astrology, rock tumbling
Raph - weight lifting, parkour, people watching, playing with chompy, sparring
Leo - meditating, astronomy, tea making, and i also feel like she’d be into wine tasting when she’s older, and she’d do it with karai as she’d definitely be into it
Others
splinter - bushy tailed woodrat
casey - half latino half italian
april - scottish
Story Context
The 2012 storyline goes as in the show, with some differences. after season 5 though, mikey’s little siblings and april began to drift apart to lead their own lives. they still fought crime together. Mikey took up drinking to ease his nerves when he turned 20 and would hang with Leatherhead, Casey, and Mondo and they’d have fun
they find an abandoned building to make their hang out spot, the area covered in plants and graffiti, and they decorated it with a record player, various vinyls, a slightly broken drum set, and a couple hammocks hanging from the rafters
Then Mikey is recruited by Steam to join the Mixfits (temp name maybe) and he only lets Leatherhead, Mondo and Casey know that hes leaving and no one else
The turtles notice after about two weeks of Mikey being missing that they start to panic
Donnie starts searching through NYC cameras, police scanners, his old mutagen scanner (from season 2) to try and find out if Mikey is still in NY somewhere
Raph gets Mona’s help to keep an eye out in space in case he somehow made it out there. He also uses his pigeons to fly all over the country and report back to him in the case they find him
Leo starts to patrol NYC more often than not. She gets joined by April mostly as they beat up thugs to try and see if they have Mikey
Karai uses her international connections to see if Mikey made it out of the country and is living a life on the run
They all know Casey, Leatherhead and Mondo know something but they can’t get them to talk about it, and if it seemed like Mondo or Casey were about to break, Leatherhead would butt in, growl and leave with the teens (they’d be 19 at the time, a year younger than mikey and the rest of the turtles and april would be 18)
oh and i added this last minute while drawing, but i added a bit of Diabetic Raph into my au. I thought itd be a cool way to represent. i dont have it personally but i have a teammate who does and i had her in mind when drawing. also i think that lea would carry snacks like fruit gummies or nut bars for when raph’s sugar levels get low

Liminal Space
A ROTTMNT Experimental AU Masterpost
Based off the 2003 TMNT episode Same as it Never Was, Liminal Space is a ROTTMNT AU meant to twist the central plot of the original. It asks: what if instead of Donatello traveling to distant dystopian future scarred by his absence, it was his brothers that were sent in his place.
Now twenty plus years into the future, Leo, Mikey and Raph must navigate through a whole new world occupied with familiar yet different faces. They’ll come to learn that during their absence, war broke out between yokai and humans with mutants simply caught in the middle. And though it’s been years since the war has ceased, the world is still working to heal from it’s fallout.
Peace was established but tensions are high, taking the combined strength of a mysterious power hierarchy to keep it all civil.
Surprisingly, it isn’t the foot clan that’s up to anything foolish, though, why is someone running around in armor that bears distinct similarities to the Kuroi Yoroi?
And what’s all this talk of multiple universes and bifurcated time branches?
Leo’s worried about getting back to the past. Raph’s focused on “fixing” this dreary future. And Mikey just hopes they’ll make it through all this alive.
... Except we’re not just following their story ...
Now faced with the reality that his brothers have disappeared with no real method of getting them back, present timeline Donatello must overcome hardships and obstacles that threaten his home, friends and family.
He’ll have to make new allies amongst faces that have yet to appear in the ROTTMNT universe, if he hopes to survive with his sanity intact.
At the end of the day, though his brothers are not there to help him, he is not alone.
Additional info:
- This takes place two years after the movie so the brothers are aged 17,18 and 19 respectively.
- As mentioned, this is an experimental AU which means I’m moreso using it to learn and experiment with my art style than to create a cohesive story. Maybe something resembling one will come through with enough time and posts. *shrugs* But my main concern is having fun with worldbuilding and learning about techniques used for comics and maybe animatics.
- Feel free to ask me questions, I’m gonna be pretty generous on answers. I’ll place a general *SPOILERS* warning on top of my posts should it feel necessary.
Plot:
The plot is going to be divided in two different story lines respectively called Cause and Effect.
Murphy’s Law (How’d we get here?)
The obligatory set-up to the whole story which can be found here.
Cause largely goes over how present Donatello had to deal with his brothers being otherwise preoccupied as the relation between humanity and mysticism reach boiling point.
Effect is primarily from Leo, Mikey and Raph’s point of view in the future. I don’t plan to actually post these details in a chronological order so I’m just warning you all this now and hence the Effect Arc is absolutely going to have spoilers from the Cause Arc.
Honestly, I’m hoping to focus on funny moments for this portion of the story. An overarching plot is in the works but shenanigans is the prime goal.
Bonus Content:
Effect Arc Wardrobe Concepts-  Mikey Leon Raphie
Toughest Shell

I randomly remembered about Terminator Genisys and immediately thought “what if I did the part of John Connor being evil but it’s future Leo”. Because I just can. Which is why I named this AU that.
(Words in drawing):
-Last earthling alive.
-prime Krang kept him alive as a ‘congratulations’ for being the strongest on the planet.
-he is half-krangifed and switches in and out of consciousness due to lack of early loyalty.
-Leo was there when the other two krangs died. He is being used as their replacement.
-will he go back to the past?
Bonus info:
-it’s been 3-4 years since Casey left. He barely survived that blast.
-he now holds the ideal of ‘only the strongest prevails’.
-he has half his consciousness due to prime Krang only wanting to have conversations at times. Eventually Leo will begin to enjoy his constant battles as well.
-they have left Earth to conquer new planets. They have kept the weird tradition of keeping the last alive to join their small, growing platoon. Probably since Leo has made Krang a bit more sentimental than he should be.
-(I don’t know how he goes into past with Krang just yet) He will help Krang stop Casey from closing portal/reopen it as Krang made a deal with him to return his dead brothers.

Yeah sure, 20-something years of blaming himself for the end of the world but ya go back in time and it’s like…that’s a child. 🥲

It's not even- look it's plain and simple hurt. The few comfort I put in won't even be that much. And I'm not really good in this- The original idea was that Leo dies in the prison dimension and the portal Mikey opens brings the corpse of his brother... and a very much alive and way older Leonardo.
So yeah everybody's grieving. I don't plan on writing this one tho, working on making it appealing without killing ma boi.

ROTTMNT AUs
Master Post
Purple's Second Chance:
Tumblr media
ON HIATUS
Several ideas come from @somerandomdudelmao's Cass Apocalyptic Series (I highly suggest checking it out, it's really good!)
While going to the store, Donnie falls through a time vortex and is sent to the future. He spends the next three years in the bad timeline, trying to find a safe way home. When Casey Jones Jr is sent to the past, Donnie joins him.
Growin' Up Wrong:
Tumblr media
ON HIATUS
Splinter is only able to get away with Donnie, leaving Raph with Draxum. He does take Leo and Mikey away from Draxum, but he falls asleep outside of Big Mama's Hotel, the Grand Nexus. Mikey wanders inside while Leo wanders away. Mikey is taken to live with Big Mama while Leo goes to live part time with Hueso and the other time with Piel.
Experiments Gone Array:
Tumblr media
ON HIATUS
Idea inspired by Swanatello by @tangledinink
Donnie discovers that he has some bad effects from being linked to the Technodrome. The ship was extremely radioactive and Donnie's body was not built for it. Because of him being linked to it then violent ripped out, Donnie grows ill. He takes it upon himself to fix this, so he begins to experiment on himself. Things go horribly wrong and now his memory is awful.
Twins of Chaos:
Tumblr media
ON HIATUS
After an argument with Raph, Leo and Donnie run away. The two decide to become actors to help make some money as it has been Leo's dream to be an actor since he was a little kid.
The two leave the crime fighting life behind, leaving Raph and Mikey in the process.
Lab Rat:
Tumblr media
ON HIATUS
Donnie loved owning his very own research, development, and tech company. It was everything he's ever wanted in life. His employees respected him, well, most of them respected him.
He had one employee who constantly went behind his back. Recently, this employee found a Yokai and decided to take them back to the company's building. With Donnie gone, off on a business trip, he made a few changes and a special place to keep any other Yokai he finds.
Raised Separately:
Tumblr media
ON HIATUS
Baron Draxum had mutated four turtles, but due to unexpected circumstances, he was only able to have two of them. He made those two into his soldiers, things he was willing to throw away if need be.

A rottmnt au I wanna write
Before I start! If anyone has made something like this already, I’d be really interested in seeing it!
Now. As far as I know, we don’t know for sure that bad timeline April died in the attack that killed future Leo and Mikey. She probably did, but maybe, just maybe she didn’t. So consider: bad future April leading the very last of the survivors through an even more broken world than the one they’ve lived in for years, knowing that the Kraang have completely taken control and knowing that they can’t win, but hoping to find some place to live out the rest of their lives peacefully, even though they’ve lost everything and everyone but each other.
I texted this all to a friend, and they said it sounds really dark, and there is that path, but I feel like it could be sorta hopeful if well written, like they find a safe and beautiful place deep in the woods, a long abandoned cabin or something, and the few of them who survived learn to make the best out of what they have now, knowing that soon enough they’ll be with their loved ones again but now they can take even just a few months to make peace with their lives on earth (longest sentence ever written).
It’s April leading maybe five others and giving them hope, knowing that after all this she’ll see her family again.
My current thought is that she almost dies, but when Mikey makes the portal and dies he sends out a burst of magic to all the people he loves, and it reaches April and saves her from the brink of death. Her family reaches out in the brief moment when Mikey and Leo‘s deaths let them interact with the world mystically, and they put their energy into healing April. And she carries that with her. She carries the knowledge that her family is waiting, and the knowledge that they want her so strongly to live, and she uses the time she has left to take care of those who also survived. There are kids amongst them, and she gives them as much of a childhood as she can. Together, this group grieves for those they lost and grows close.
Here’s a scene I’ve written already! It takes place after the big Kraang attack, when April is nearly dead:
At the back of April’s mind, there are two flames.
One is orange and feels like childhood joy and sage wisdom at the same time. It flares up, bright and warm and brilliant, and then it goes out forever. It feels like, You’re not dying that easily. It feels like, I’ll see ya soon enough.
The other is blue and strong and steady and feels like a safe hand reaching out in the middle of a storm. It bursts with warmth as it flickers out. It feels like, Buh-bye, sis. It feels like, Don’t worry, the kid is safe.
At the edges of her perception, there’s a trace of purple energy that feels like electricity and dry sarcasm. A trace of solid, smiling red warmth in a protective wall.
If she looks further, she can feel more.
The smallest suggestion of soft whiskers and ridiculous movie star glasses from days past.
The tiniest possibility of an ancient smile that was briefly a part of her.
The faintest chance of cafeteria food and disgust that covered love.
And maybe it’s her mind playing tricks on her, but she might just sense off-brand girl scout brownies and determination. Might just sense green explosions of joy and stupid jokes about laser tag.
All of the people she’s lost smile at her, and then they’re gone.
And April’s alone again.
April’s eyes open slowly to the red sky and cracked remains of a roof.
That’s wrong. She’s supposed to be dead now. Unless she is, and the world decided to leave her as part of the worst joke ever. Maybe the afterlife is just the real world, but she can’t feel anything around her.
Wait. That’s also wrong. A bit of debris presses into her back, and her arm and leg hurt. Not as much as they should, though.
She should have bled out from those wounds. It doesn’t make any sense.
Slowly, she pushes herself up and looks around. The tunnel is completely destroyed around her. Old concrete lies in chunks and pieces, and underneath are the bodies of those who died in the battle.
She was supposed to be with them. This really, really doesn’t make sense.
She looks at the giant cut on her arm, and finds it… covered? A slightly blue tinted bandage is wrapped around it tightly. Her leg is similarly wrapped in orange stained bandage, with a tiny smile drawn on.
Ta-da! It’s bad, but still, ta-da!

May I write a fanfic inspired by your Future Krang Donatello au idea?
Of course! ^ ^ Just please credit me for the original idea. I also give more because I'm happy someone even asked.
Two possible paths for getting a D in the past.
1.
D is one of the original invading Krang. So when Casey Jr goes back in time he not only has to deal with family that looks similar but different and don't remember him, but also what was like his weird uncle who looks almost the same and is the enemy. He knew that since D was a Krang there was a time he was on their side, but actually seeing it?
This could be a good thing though! They got D to join before they could do it again. With how early on it is in the apocalypse D could fix most of, if not all, the damage caused by the Krang! That's what D did, he fixed things! …Everything but himself.
Except it was sensei that got him to join and Casey isn't sure how. Also trying to convince the others that one of the aliens that stole Raph could be an ally isn't going well, especially not with Leo.
Casey unknowingly already starts to make D wander off from the other Krang. How did a human have tech he didn't remember building? It even had his marking! It was going to get to the bottom of this.
2.
D going back in time with Casey. Future Leo doesn't want the kid to go alone and, minus the apocalypse, D has honestly made their lives so much better with his tech. Clean water, fresher air, whatever those weird plants D grew for food. Stuff the turtles didn't have growing up despite April trying her best to make things easier. If Casey Jr was going to be staying there he deserved to not live in conditions worse than the apocalypse.
People in the past, of course, freaked out about the alien that randomly appeared out of nowhere and "abducted" a child. April investigating it meant they didn't have to look for her and saved some time. Also, Casey didn't get hit because D grabbed April's arm to stop her, saving time with the whole unconscious thing. No disbelief on the Krang since D is right there. Did have to stop so Splinter could freak out a bit though.
They were able to get the key before it was even used. D has the footage of the foot clan's faces when they saw him helping stop them saved in a special folder. D almost immediately after starts fixing up the lair. D gets what Leo meant now, there's no way the hatchling should have to live like this. He just soaks up the past turtles' awe.
D keeps poking fun at how tiny past Leo is. When Leo asks how tall he is D shows a life-sized hologram. Raph starts crying. Little brothers aren't supposed to be that big! D shows older Raph and Raph cries tears of relief that he's still big enough to carry his little brother. D thinks it best not to tell him how long ago the photo was taken. Mikey asks about him and cries because he's still so small.
D being blunt with others. Raph and Leo fight and D is tired of it. Raph's just afraid of you getting hurt and Leo's afraid of not being good enough for you so he's purposely failing! Just co-lead or something!
They… really like that idea and decide to try it out. It works pretty well since Raph knows he can rely on Leo's ideas and Leo can rely on Raph's experience and general big brother instincts. If they fail then they can't blame themselves because then they'd be blaming the other too. Wait, does this me Leo has to thank D? Dang it.
Bonus things for both:
D building a technodrome just so I can have Technodrome Shelldon. He grabs the core AI before they leave, either while fighting the other Krang in the past in 1 or escaping with Leo in the future. It took centuries of research and construction to create this one, and it's a shame to just leave it, but it's not what makes his creation truly amazing.
Leo and D getting into a slap fight. D doesn't have hands and it sounds like wet spaghetti hitting a wall. No one can look away.
D making Casey hover skates. They float a couple of inches off the ground and glide smoothly. It takes some practice though and D both holds his hands to keep him steady and will use his body as a crash pad if Casey Jr starts to go out of control. Better slamming into D than a wall. Casey learns pretty fast and can now easily keep up running with the turtles.
