what does Roisia think about Raphael?

I am trying so, SO hard not to let my own opinions of Raphael (love him 10 outta 10 quite possibly my favourite NPC) colour how my character would feel about him. I suppose the very least I could say was that Roisia genuinely enjoyed the poetry? The rest—the overt scheming and manipulation to amass power and souls, the enslavement and torture of the soulless, so on and so forth—she could do without. And, if I'm stretching it, perhaps she did grow rather fond of his smarmy face.

Isobel Thorm, icon, godsend, hero, absolute titan, determined to carry the hurt/comfort genre on her STR 12 shoulders. I adore her.

Of course, the catch is that she herself has also Been Through The Horrors but chooses not to acknowledge this in favour of adamantly insisting on being the caretaker (which she is obviously very good at, like... professionally, as a cleric and healer).

And even more than that, caretaker to a person who is a big nigh-unkillable (but very significantly not, as Isobel herself points out, unharmable!) radiant wall of muscle and holy fury so used to being a champion and protector herself, extremely keen to dismiss her own issues as a bit of "paladin's fatigue" and "flights of fancy" and who is on so many levels, some very fundamental to her being, tied into being A Sword.

I guess my point is... fic writer comrades-in-arms, this is what we call a goldmine.

okay idk how to phrase this but like. for a game where you can do anything and the narrative accounts for it, bg3 has a very obvious ‘good’ route that is shown both in the amount of time spent on like, cutscenes and stuff and how much the game punishes you for making certain choices and i’m not saying that there should be no consequences for your actions but the combo of 1. there is for sure a ‘good’ or ‘better’ way to play the game that 2. isn’t always foreshadowed in dialogue options so it’s easy to lock yourself out of the ‘good’ route even if you had the intentions to go that route longer term is like. idk it’s something i’ve been running into fairly commonly. (also the game does not allow me to do as much strategic lying as i would like. like yes my goody two shoes companions i said i’d do a thing but obviously that was just because i didn’t want to cause a shit show in public im playing the long game sometimes it helps to lie to the bad guys)
