Spoilers for LoTR Fellowship

Every year at the end of October/beginning of November, my family and I order pizza, sit down and watch the two disc special edition of the Lord of The Rings. I know every word by heart and can remember the entrances of each character. It's gotten to the point where I'm not paying attention to the plot and just see how the height doubles size up, the costuming and embroidery is and the different weapons. You would think I hate it, but I don't. I absolutely adore it. I love how intricately braided Gimli's beard is. I love looking at how all four hobbits have DIFFERENT STYLES OF CLOAKS. The balance between Aragorn's loose, comfortable clothes and the absolute need for perfection Boromir's posture exudes. I love just watching Merry and Pippin being idiots and still having a huge impact on the story, so much so I invented a drinking game just for them. I love looking at hoe each weapon is shaped differently, no two are alike, the craftsmanship and interest and complete reverence each actor has for his weapons. The Lord of the Rings was my childhood and now it's my young adult back bone. I don't know what I would do without it, so I am here to say 2 things:

Thank you for creating the adventure of a lifetime, Mr. Tolkein.

I'm sorry for what my generation has done (yes I am referring to the gay fan fictions. No I'm not asking you to stop)
