//SPOILERS FOR HSR 2.2 STORY
It’s 1AM and I’ve finished the latest update for HSR
So let’s talk about it, and by talk I mean let’s write out a few paragraphs about my wildly running thoughts and feelings about my husbands
FIRST OF ALL, let’s talk about Gallagher. The man that you are, I never stopped being a Gallagher apologist and I’m so happy I didn’t. The fact he’s so laid back and nonchalant about having dormancy as a pet is actually such a serve on his part.
I think Gallagher in particular had a cool little story here, with the introduction of his actual connection to Mikhail being so fucking sad man, I need to give this guy a cwtch because Oml. The scene where he showed his frustrations towards Mikhail were some of my favourites, he gets a little bitter about Mikhails unwavering faith in the express. And in my brain I’ve interpreted that bitterness as a regret that maybe he could’ve done more for him, maybe been something else to have faith in dispite Gallagher not having a faith for himself.
A tasty tidbit that I enjoy from Gallagher is also the fact he calls Sunday ‘Mr Wings’ as a snarky nickname. As a Gallgher enjoyer and a Sunday slapper I enjoy that.
As for why I have ended my friendship with Sunday: Welt.
This is all I have to say, my man wholly trapped welts consciousness in his own to take him as a bargaining chip for the express, eventually hoping to trap the rest of the crew too. I don’t like that.
Im all seriousness though I do like the way all of that was handled. Welt was on his self sacrificial bullshit again and ended up getting himself into possibly detrimental trouble AGAIN. When will this man learn? It’s been 80 something years mr yang, reflect, I beg of you.
Another side tangent. The fact welt immediately understood something was up with Sunday? The fact welt immediately understood there was something wrong with gopherwood. This man never misses and I love it. I’m convinced that the reason he had to be split from the main group in 2.1 was because he would’ve seen through Gallaghers lies in an instant.
Especially since he brought up Gallaghers suspicious history lesson detour as soon as he heard about it.
Im so normal right now oh my god I need to go bounce around the walls for a bit
Also, side side tangent. The scene with the trailblazers and Mica? (Was that his name? The grave keeper in the dreamfulx reef) When welt is mumbling and he just says “huh? Were you talking to me?” I know for a fact that hoyo doesn’t skimp out on the tiny details and even himeko made a noise of confusion in that scene (if I remember correctly of course) but I might be looking too deeply into that.
Also. What is with penacony and having such plot relevant 4* characters. First it was Gallagher, now it’s Misha??? Hello??? I’m loving this 4* love.
NOW ONTO BOOTHILL. I love that guy he’s such a dumbass in all the best ways. I’ve read through the leaks of his story and… oh boy… knowing what k know… ‘I wouldn’t want to interrupt such a long awaited reunion’… currently kaying my ess.
Then there’s Acheron. Acheron has played a huge part in all the story quests of penacony so far and I’m actually starting to really warm up to her, it might’ve been mostly because abuse of her cutscene with Tiernan. That shit pulled at my heartstrings in all the most painful ways. Also the art in these cutscenes???? Hello??? Hoyo are really popping off with these. I was looking at all the little rendering details like a goddamn owl.
Lastly I wanna talk a little bit about the boss battle for this update… specifically the design of that thing… oh my god it’s gorgeous… this massive robot angel that’s also a conductor, it’s such a gorgeous design I just start kicking my feet and rolling around the floor, the boss design in this game is goddamn beautiful. First Phantilia now this.

Moon.. I've come back for the 3rd time...
I came across someone who said that Sunday's wings are clipped, and it got me thinking. A bird with clipped wings usually has impaired flight. So what does this mean for Sunday?
He could have done it to himself as a form of self-restraint to stop him from getting distracted by temptations and to stick to getting towards his goal. However, that.. It wouldn't make sense, not for me anyway. For a man who wishes that he could fly with his sister, it would be a rather acontradictory action.
No, wait. He certainly could have done it due to his self-destructiveness. He feels as if he himself does not deserve the privilege and the freedom to be able to fly because he does not matter. All he is supposed to do is reach his goal and make the people in penacony not have to be burdened by the harshness of reality, all of that for the exchange of himself. If this were true, then in the end, he became the very bird he wanted to cage in order to protect.
hhgKHQH but then there's Mr. Gopherwood.. according to research, there are some bird owners and trainers who choose to cut primary feathers to inhibit flight. So what if Sunday was forced to have his wings clipped because of the dreammaster, to control him, to ground him?
It could take months or even years for a previously clipped bird to heal, depending on the severity of the clip and how long its wings were clipped. Even then, if the birds wings were cut incorrectly, it may never be able to fly ever again. Perhaps this is why he said, "We were supposed to fly into the sky together," followed by him saying, "If only I could.", because he meant it both literally and figuratively.
In the end, no matter the reason, Sunday is still a bird trapped in a cage, unable to spread its wings and fly.
Hello nonnie! Always happy to have returnees, haha.
Also, this is very neat. Heartbreaking of course, but very neat.
I personally don't believe Sunday's clipped wings came to be as a form of self-harm. But I could be wrong? Majorly, I believe it would mainly be attributed to more of a symbolization, and some "incident" that would happen that follows it.
The analysis about gopher wood doing to to sunday seems more plausible, although that's also a bit conflicting in my opinion. If gopher had directly clipped sunday's wings, I feel as though sunday would have much more built up resentment towards him, despite as a reverent dreammaster. However, at the same time, sunday was highly manipulated by him, so perhaps he never did anything about it. In the end, I dont think gopher would have done it himself, at least not directly. Perhaps it must have been a form of punishment? A sort of "sacrifice" to be tethered to his responsibilities as the Head, instead of Robin who chose to become a singer? Maybe an accident? Who knows. But there's huge symbolization about him being the bird that can't fly, versus Robin soaring the skies, as they envisioned with the Charmony dove. It's also a huge thing with "staying safe and being taken care of in exchange for freedom" vs "risking everything in order to pursue what you want", it's a sort of condensation of their personal ideals.
Regardless, that's just how I feel. I could be wrong, because I don't think I'm that good at analyzing or such, lol. Anyways, this is very interesting to ponder about.

The Seofon HL trauma runs deep...
it really does this man fucking hit me with his car
but it goes double also for the few raids from Relink that are clearly inspired from the main game, like, just looking at Faa for instance.
It's really interesting to see how they translate the mechanisms of the turn by turn game, especially since there's stuff that can't be done in Relink.
Like Gopherwood Ark stood out to me as interesting. In Faa's raid, it's the point where he will knock out some party members if there's more than one character from a specific type in the party. For example if you have two Erune in your party, he'll knock out the first one.
But if you make your party for there to be one of each type in your party, Gopherwood Ark doesn't hurt you at all.
You can't possibly translate that in Relink, when you often match with random people and don't have a huge diversity type-wise (i mean there's only one primal and only one Erune in the game for now. Most of the cast are humans.).
So instead they translated Gopherwood Ark into being a very clear pattern attack that is very swift, but that Sandalphon comments on saying "it has an easy pattern, so it's easier to avoid".
I think it's a really clever way to do it since if you know about Gopherwood Ark you usually build your party to easily avoid it -- so here they make it a pattern that is also easier to avoid.
BUT AT THE SAME TIME when you look at how Paradise Lost work, to really give you an idea of why you always get a vibe check, it shows you a nearly impossible to dodge opening attack.
Or since it can't easily translate The End, instead they make it that when you fuck up your max HP is reduced to 1, so literally any blow will kill you, which will just make the critical bar move faster
.......................... WHICH IS ALL TO SAY.
That it really gives you an idea of how special attacks are being translated from the game.
and imagining Siete's raid mechanisms in Relink makes me want to cry because of that like fuck. Especially after seeing his playable kit in Relink.
horrible little man.

A WICKED WORLD
The Lord saw how utterly wicked people on earth had become; every thought was only evil all the time. So God said, “I will destroy from the earth the people I have created. And with them, the animals, birds, and creeping things” (Genesis 6:5–7).
Noah Pleases God
But Noah found favor with God for he alone was righteous among the people of his day. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And God said to him, “I will establish My covenant with you; you will go into the ark with your wife, your sons, and their wives” (Genesis 6:8–10, 18).
NOAH BUILDS AN ARK
God said to Noah, “I am going to destroy all flesh because the world is full of violence. Build an ark of gopherwood, with rooms inside, three decks, and a door. Cover it inside and out with pitch.” And Noah did exactly as God commanded him (Genesis 6:13–22)
THE ANIMALS COME TO NOAH
God also told Noah, “Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and his mate, and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate, and seven pairs of the birds of the heavens also, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth” (Genesis 7:2–3, ESV).
Noah and Family Enter the Ark
So Noah and his family went into the Ark because of the coming Flood. And every land animal after its kind went with them, two by two, male and female, just as God had commanded. And the Lord shut the door (Genesis 7:7–16).
A FLOOD COVERS THE EARTH
Then the Flood began. The fountains of the deep broke open, and the windows of heaven were opened. Rain poured for forty days and forty nights. The waters rose until every high hill on the earth was covered. Everything that lived on land perished in the raging floodwaters (Genesis 7:17–24).
THE GREAT FLOOD SUBSIDES
The waters flooded the earth for one hundred and fifty days. And God remembered Noah and the animals on the Ark. The waters receded and the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat (Genesis 8:1–5).
Noah Sends Out a Dove
After sending out a raven, Noah sent out a dove to see if there was dry ground. But it came back having found nowhere to perch. After seven days, Noah sent it back out and it came back with a fresh olive leaf in its mouth. And Noah knew the ground was drying (Genesis 8:6–12).
NOAH LEAVES THE ARK
Then God told Noah, “Come out of the ark. And bring the animals with you so they can be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.” So Noah and his family came out with all the animals (Genesis 8:13–19).
God’s Promise Not to Flood the Earth Again
Then Noah built an altar and offered burnt offerings to the Lord on it. And God said, “Never again will I curse the ground because of man or send a flood to destroy all living things, even though mankind’s heart is evil from childhood.” And God blessed Noah and his family saying, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth” (Genesis 8:20–22).
What the ark would have looked like.
Tumblr media
Three Decks
In Genesis 6:16 God told Noah to make the Ark “with lower, second, and third decks.” For efficient use of space, Noah could have added a couple of half-floors that did not extend across the entire width of the ship. These would be perfect for storage, animal housing, and easy movement on ladders and staircases between decks.
God also told Noah to “make rooms [nests] in the ark” (Genesis 6:14). These rooms or nests would simply be stalls and cages for the animals. Noah could have put the animals on the three decks, and then moved between the decks on the mezzanine levels. They could also hold tanks and pipes to distribute food, water, and waste.
Tumblr media
Perfectly Balanced
The Ark had a very striking shape—its hull was six times longer than its width. A major 1993 scientific study found that these proportions perfectly balance the conflicting demands of stability, comfort, and strength.
This study, headed by secular engineers at a world-class ship research center in South Korea, called KRISO, compared different hull proportions. No shape significantly outperformed the 4,300-year-old biblical design. Many other proportions rendered the vessel dangerously unstable, uncomfortable, or prone to breakup.
In fact, the Ark has the same proportions as a modern cargo ship. Clearly, the Savior of the human race knew what He was doing.
Tumblr media
450 x 75 x 45 = 1.52 x 106 ft.3 this would have been its size.
Cubit
an ancient measure of length, approximately equal to the length of a forearm. It was typically about 18 inches or 44 cm, though there was a long cubit of about 21 inches or 52 cm.

Noah’s Ark
The biblical story of Noah’s Ark is in the Book of Genesis in the Bible. God tells Noah that he is going to destroy ‘all flesh’ (Genesis 6:13-22) by flood because he is unhappy with the level of violence in the World. God instructs Noah to build an Ark out of gopherwood. He instructs Noah to fill the Ark with all land animals, two by two, male and female. God then floods the earth for 150 days, when a dove comes back to the Ark with an olive leaf Noah knows that the flooding has ended. God promises not to flood the earth again using a rainbow as a symbol of this. The Bible gives the dimensions of the Ark of it being 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high, assuming a cubit of 18". Physics students at Leicester University have researched whether it would be possible to accommodate 70,000 animals in an Ark. The students used 48.2cm as a length of cubit to test the idea. They calculated the total mass the Ark could contain without sinking. The students were surprised to find that the Ark could have achieved its aim and could have carried all its passengers and their provisions for a whole year. Therefore, the Bible’s references to the Ark may not have been as unachievable as some people have suggested.
Students Surprised to Find Noah's Ark Feasible.

Films based on Arks.
Ark (2012), the premise of this film was that 9 Arks would save 100,000 people and animals per Ark from a 2012 apocalypse. Some of the nine Arks were not finished on time. Selection of who could enter the Arks was clearly set meaning that only certain members of the human race would survive, mostly based on status, power and money. Passengers (2016) was a film that used the idea of an Ark like vessel (the Avalon) in its plot as passengers paid for their space on a sleeper craft that would transport them to a new life of a different planet. The passengers were not escaping the end of the earth but were recruited to populate a new planet, Homestead II. The passengers had to fulfil certain criteria and pay for a space on the vessel which represented a cruise ship. Depending on the amount of money paid passengers had different entitlements on the craft for food etc. The vessel was like a cruise ship because it had leisure facilities such as a swimming pool, sports, bar and restaurants. The vessel held everything needed to set up on a new planet such as engineering, medicine, vehicles, plants etc. Passengers would be kept in hibernation for 90 years whilst they travelled to the new planet.
Alien: Covenant. This film tells the story of a US colonisation starship that transports 15 crewmembers, 2,000 colonists, and 1,140 second-generation embryos to the planet Origae-6.
The mission is interrupted by the aliens that kill the crew or get on to the spacecraft. The spacecraft in this film is more military in style that in passengers which uses the cruise ship idea.

My Unshakeable Life of Faith
“And God said to Noah. . .
‘Make yourself an ark of gopherwood. . .’” (Gen 6: 13-14)
I live in complete security; I am safely aboard The Ark! Outside influences can no longer harm me. I am the immortal son of our God. Although my body is an imperfect physical form, the soul within me, the one belonging to God, is eternal and perfect. I am surrounded by the comfort of God’s Truth and His Principle of a perfect existence. I am filled with His Spirit.
I know that this is quite a statement for others to accept. But let me share the world I see. First, let me say that my body does not represent the goodness and love that God gives. My body is completely human and therefore imperfect, riddled with the problems that 80-year-olds have. But being in this body does not mean that I am not also in God’s eternal light. I know this because of the gifts I receive on a daily basis.
I gaze from my window, watching the birds flit from feeder to feeder. I imagine them in a sunlit meadow of wildflowers, having their fill of God’s goodness. With them are the deer of the forests lapping up water from the small stream running through my meadow. The scene is beautiful. From the morning glow and the dew covered flowers to the evening shadow with gnats and ladybugs covering the flowers long-abandoned by the birds and the honeybees.
I am truly alive in this heavenly place knowing that I am not separated from God by the window in the shelter of my home nor from the broken body I inhabit. I enjoy seeing the Sun set in the late afternoon and the Moon glowing at night. I look to the night sky and see the multitude of stars, other suns surrounded by planets maybe just like Earth. I know not what is out there, but I do know that this is God’s universe, one that I cannot grasp the fullness of, which is why I am grasped by its fullness, God’s loving hand.
Brothers and sisters, we are not separated by earthy matters. We are united by God’s Love. This we must accept. This. . . is my unshakeable life of faith.

So, The ark, you know the big thing that the story of Noah’s Arc is based off of literally name after, yeah, ok enough with unfunny introductions let’s actually talk about it now.
while the bible gives pretty vague visual descriptors of what it actually looks like, with the dialogue implying it’s 3 decks tall and apparrantly made of gopherwood, which I just looked up and doesn’t seem to actually exist and was just a type of wood that was just made up on the spot, so either the usage of it in the arc drove the plant to extinction or god doesn't know a thing about planetology.
Tumblr media
there were also stalls and rooms and nests for the animals as mentioned in the bible as well as tanks and hold pipes for food water and waste, you maybe wondering why they needed water considering all the rain and new found flood beneath them but also remember that that flood also contains 99.9 percent of humanity’s freshly drowned corpses, and the aftertaste of death is not something anyone would like in a glass of water.
as well as that the arc was said to be six times longer than it’d width, fun fact despite the majority of the logistics of this story being completely nonsensical scientists reported that the said proportions of the arc were said to be have the perfect mix of stability and strength as well as being assumed to have been the size of a literal cargo ship, so that’s pretty impressive on Noah’s part considering all he had was the will to live and a type of wood that doesn’t exist.

Noah and the Ark
What is Noah and the Ark?
The story of Noah’s Ark is mostly known as a story from the bible found in Genesis 7 1.
the story is about God who hated the world and what came of the humans, so God stated “I will destroy from the earth the people I have created. And with them, the animals, birds, and creeping things”. however Noah found favour from god and Noah had three sons named Shem, Ham, and Japheth. God said to him, “I will establish My covenant with you; you will go into the ark with your wife, your sons, and their wives”. So Noah said “I am going to destroy all flesh because the world is full of violence. Build an ark of gopherwood, with rooms inside, three decks, and a door. Cover it inside and out with pitch.” So that is exactly what he did by building this ark. God also told Noah to “Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and his mate, and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate, and seven pairs of the birds of the heavens also, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth”.
It was time so Noah’s family and all of the paired animals boarded the ark while the world started to flood. the flood covered all mountains until there was no sight of land, everything that was left behind, perished. The waters flooded earth 150 days. God remembered Noah and the animals on the Ark. The waters decreased and the Ark landed on the mountains of Ararat. As soon as they hit the mountain, Noah sent out a dove to see if there was dry land anywhere on earth. But unfortunately it came back with out finding any. After seven days, Noah sent it back out and it came back with a fresh olive leaf in its mouth. And Noah knew the ground was drying.
God told Noah to “Come out of the ark. And bring the animals with you so they can be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.” so Noah and his family did exactly that. Noah built and alter and gave burnt offerings to God, God said “Never again will I curse the ground because of man or send a flood to destroy all living things, even though mankind’s heart is evil from childhood.” God also blessed Noah and his family, saying “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth”

What is the moral of Noah and the ark?
The more i read about this story, it was clear that the moral is to righteous and obedient and if you do all that, you will be rewarded by God.
https://www.nationalshrine.org/blog/what-can-we-learn-from-noah/#:~:text=God%20rewarded%20him%20for%20his,demands%20judgement%20for%20that%20sin.
What is the Ark?
The Ark was a huge boat that saved noah, his family and the animals life.
People over the years have been trying to scientifically figure out how big the boat was and how many animals could fit on it.  they believed that the boat was 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high.
Sources also say that the boat was 300 cubits long, 30 cubits high and 50 cubits wide. Cubits are an ancient measure of length. 1 cubits seems to be about 18 inches or 44 cm, though there was a long cubit of about 21 inches or 52 cm.
https://www1.cbn.com/biblestudy/what-did-noah%27s-ark-look-like%3F
If i was to guess how many animal can fit on it, i would say i'm not quite sure. I have looked up how many species of animals are on earth and what came up was shocking.
I doubt that 8.7 million animal species was on board that ship.
I looked up how many animals was on board the boat and it said that it could fit about 2,000 to 50,000 animals on it. This i don't believe is true and ill tell you why.
I looked up how big the titanic was, because the Ark dose look smaller and the titanic was length overall: 882.75 feet. Breadth: 92.5 feet. Depth: 59.6 feet. So the titanic was way bigger than the ark and the Titanic can only hold 3320 people.
So if i was to take a guess at how many animals was on board that ark, probably about a 1000 at most. Maybe even smaller.
This is what people believed that this is what the Ark looked like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
https://answersingenesis.org/noahs-ark/fantastic-voyage-what-did-ark-look-like/
How did this story come about?
Some people believe that this story is a true story. However its only found with in the bible and we have no evidence so far suggesting that is was a real event.
I personally don't believe that it happened due it not being well documented, the only evidence we have is a story that someone could have written for what ever reason they had. we have so much documented events that happed since the start of earth birth yet we have not documentation on this particular even or any other event that the bible states.
Why did God decide to wipe out the world?
God decided to wipe out the world because he believed the world was just way to cruel.
This is a decent reason if you ask me, however people chose to be that way, its not something you can easily stop and just wiping them all out like that wasn't a great idea. Its inhumane and not everyone was bad but they all payed the price by drowning which is one of the worst ways to go. Plus, all of the animals also died too, not all of them was on that ark so millions of lives all died.
I guess God agrees that it was a bad thing, because he did vow to never do it again.
