Have there been any concepts or characters from the original GTW comic that you initially scrapped but then decided to rework into the new one?

Thank you! The entire premise and almost everything about the old one is completely gone BUT there are a few shreds that remain.

The two agents, Roxbury and Hanshaw, as well as Ezra and Josué are the four characters who survive from the old iteration. Though the story wasn’t Ezra or Josué’s at all and they were pretty much just secondary characters. Now Ezra’s a main character.

There are also some bits of the script, very early on, that I kept and redrew. The shanty opening and those page layouts are roughly the same, as is the signing on scene just before the Valor leaves in which one fellow misunderstands how the pay structure works. I dug through a closet so I could show u:

Lot info follows:

1.  Willow Creek Precinct (Police Station) I think I managed to lay out the floorplan so that your detective can quickly get to everywhere. I learned a while ago that if you want your edited career lot to work as intended, you must not recolor anything lol. And for the cells to function you can’t put ANYTHING else there, not even the ceiling and wall lights that come with GTW (??). So rest assured I’ve made sure this lot is playable all through your detective’s career.

I highly recommend releasing all prisoners before placing the lot. They won’t escape and will comply to being locked back in afterwards.

2.  M. P. General Hospital (Willow Creek Hospital) Because even with both the police station and hospital replaced, the view of one from the other shows the default lot.

As I built this lot for gameplay, I do believe I’ve optimized the layout for it. The building is small so less walking is involved. All the patients are gathered in the center of the build, connected to everything else, without any deco objects obstructing your view of them. So you could keep an eye out for their idle animations.

I recommend that you place this lot close to the end of a work day - otherwise the patients will be stuck standing outside all day and you won’t be able to interact with them. You get a reset for the next work day.

3.  FutureSim Research Centre (FutureSim Labs) Honestly the best active career in TS4 and not just because I work in an actual lab. I googled Mid Century Modern (because Oasis Springs) office building and this is the result. I had my sim plant perfect seeds in the greenhouse of plants that are listed as ingredients for the serums your scientist is going to need to make.

TS2 in TS4 Megahood: Britechester Map

Britechester, a town divided.

Starting in Foxbury Tech, the only thing I changed was to put my Alto Student Center down to replace the existing one. It's got a nice hangout zone with couches, a cafeteria, a computer lab, a research and debate machine lab, and a robotics lab that also has the microscope and some of the GTW science equipment. There's also a bunch of conference rooms where I envision group projects being discussed, but realistically, sims are going to end up taking their food there and leaving dishes.

In the middle neighborhood, I didn't touch the community lots. I did build some fake townhomes on the empty lot and placed the Bright Household there. The one on the left has 1 bedroom and the one on the right has two small ones. They are decorated haphazardly in an "Ikea meets thrift store" kind of way. I hated the two houses where the Elderberries and the Pleasant twins were, so I bulldozed them and built a large modern shell that I copied for the other. One is set up for 8 sims to live there in 4 bedrooms/3 baths assuming they are a sorority. The other is set up as a 2 bedroom/2.5 bath family home with an office and a playroom on the third floor.

Finally in U Brite, I built a new university commons called the U Brite Commons. It has a cafeteria, a large room for listening to debates, computer lab, research and debate machines, an art room, and a music room. I also renovated Wyvern Hall to be more like the dorms I remember from college adding in a kitchenette with prep space, dining table, and large sectional in front of the tv. The bathrooms now have two semi private shower stalls each so there's woohoo spots. (I have been to many dorms and none of them had showers in the open like that) I couldn't make the layout for one large bathroom work, so opted for two smaller bathrooms with unisex doors. Finally I built a new house for that university housing lot that sleeps 8.

-->Well, it’s a little less nice and neat. :p I thought it would be fun to have some graffiti and an old flaking sign to go with the dumpster and the recycle bin back there. Adds some more character to the lot! Probably should figure out something to stick in the back (maybe even just a few benches facing away from the graffiti), but for now this will do for the exterior.

-->As for the INTERIOR -- well, I added a couple more decorations, fiddled with the layout. . .and put in @brazenlotus’s Produce Stands and Flower Fridge! The produce stands function as retail fridges (with a shared inventory with said fridges, which I wasn’t expecting but DOES at least make it easier to stock everything), while the flower fridge shelf is intended for displaying flower arrangements and keeping them fresh for longer. . .but I couldn’t get it to work with the layout of my store (there was no good place to put it that didn’t expose the back), so I just ended up using it as a drinks cooler after realizing the fizzy juice cartons fit really well in there as well. XD I mean, it looks better than the GTW refrigerated displays for those! 

-->With the layout sorted, the produce picked up off the floor, and that weird spare refrigerated display behind the flower-arranging bench EVENTUALLY sold, it was time to send the gang to start filling the shelves! After I got a cute shot of the All Bugged Out mod spawning bees right over the flower barrels out front. XD Victor was put on flower-arranging duty first, making a couple of different arrangements, while Alice made a strawberry cake and Smiler used the bulk food processor to create cans of green beans! Mostly because I wanted to see what the cans looked like, and if they would look better on the shelf than just a big old box sitting there. Turns out they did, so I had Smiler unbox the ones already made to put on the shelf (and let me tell you, these shelves have ALL the slots, damn SrslySims), and make a few singular cans to fill in some of the gaps. Alice, meanwhile, I noticed was looking hungry after making her cake, so I had her wolf out and go hunt for food, figuring I could slap any spare steaks she brought back into the meat display. One of the nicer things about having a werewolf helping run a grocery store! :p

(heads up, for whatever reason when I uploaded this build to the gallery it deletes the curtains in the living room, hobby room, and one of the bedrooms. I tried a couple times to fix it but it would keep happening. Feel free to put whatever you want, my choice was the seasons curtains in either the black or gray swatch.)

Shadow Moon Challenge

Hello! I’m Simbones! *waves*

I created this challenge as I never play with Vampires anymore and I thought it would be great idea to combine general gameplay with Vampire generations. 

This challenge is based on the same style of the Not So Berry challenge, which I love and I enjoy the general layout so I wanted to create a similar style challenge but with Occults. You don’t have to stick to any colours for this Challenge, I just wanted to keep the format the same. If you haven’t already, you can check out the NSB Challenge here.

RULES:

There are some notes on some Gen rules, I have tried to explain as much as I can, but ultimately how you play this challenge, story wise is up to you.

Gender is not specific to any Generation, apart from Gen 2, where you must birth a son, a ‘male heir’ this will be the first born male. This ‘heir’ however is a false heir and will not be the heir to the next generation, Gen 3.

If a sim specifies that they have a coven, you must make a coven using the GTW group feature. You may put whoever in this coven, the only rule is that they vampires.

If another occult is mentioned in a Gen, e.g A Witch, give them the Vampire occult.

Money cheats can be used, but only to purchase a Gen’s first home, this must be realistic however, especially if they have money tasks in their rules.

If their is no career specified for a gen, you can choose if they have a career or not, such as the vampire aspiration gens.

Explanations:

Bloodline - a direct descendant of your selected sim.

Pureblood - a ‘true’ vampire, a sim that has not been turned, but is a descendant from vampire parents. 

Coven - A group of vampires using GTW Clubs. If a sim specifies that they have a coven, you must make a coven using the GTW Club feature. You may put whoever in this coven, the only rule is that they are vampires.
