Extremely proud to announce my new collaboration with Metallica !!! These are only available via Metallica's shop! I won't have any and there will NOT be prints made! MORE INFO can be found on @METALLICA's profile!!! Just in time for HALLO….errr I mean “CHRISTMAS!!!” Yeah, it seems early to announce now, but keep in mind that the world has had 2 years of supply chain disruptions and consistently slow delivery from USPS. Everyone is expecting more of that in the near future. Now that that’s out of the way… PINCH ME! I got to collaborate with METALLICA…AGAIN!!! Very stoked to be able to show it off now. When they hit me up they mentioned wanting to also make an ornament to go along with the shirt design. I can now add “ornamentalist” for Metallica to my resume! The irony was that I worked on a Christmas project during the HOTTEST days in July. The project was very fun to do and everyone was easy to deal with. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! This year I’ve had a double helping of hardships. I’m glad that this wasn’t one of them. Also, I can’t thank the #Metallica team enough for tagging and crediting me for the work I did. I always had a soft spot for Thrash metal as it was the music genre that drew me in once I felt I “mastered” playing Nirvana and Greenday covers in my childhood. Metallica is one of those pioneers in the early days that shaped Thrash metal, but something happened to Metallica after the Reload album, and as a listener, I struggled to stay a dedicated fan, and, yes I did try. I, personally, found Garage Inc. confusing without the foreknowledge of the album being a Metallification of other bands’ songs and pretty sure, at the time, it was a cry for help by Metallica during some sort of nervous break-down. Lulu is a creative piece of art deserving its own blurb, but I assume the experience is similar to driving home on acid with a bee in the car. The above isn’t a dig to those who loved the albums that followed Reload as they are decent, just in my opinion, not their best work and now that we know a little about me and my opinions we can move on.

Hardwired…To Self-Destruct brings back the older style from the earlier albums starting with a solidly thrashy track Hardwired. The album sticks more to the founding principals of Thrash without falling into the common pitfalls of all the songs sounding the same with plenty of variety. The mix is exactly what you would expect with a lot of music compositional experience thrown on top and the production quality outshines any of the previous albums. I was happy with remembering Metallica as a band of the past, but this album makes Metallica relevant again in the Thrash scene.

❤️ Metallica has shaped the sound of Thrash, and I appreciate all the efforts Metallica has made.

Metallica regresa a la Argentina: ¿Listos para el WorldWired Tour 2020?

Hace muy pocos minutos se anunció el muy esperado regreso a la Argentina de Metallica. El mayor exponente vivo del heavy metal regresará a nuestro país luego de su notable show en el Lollapalooza Argentina 2017. La cita será el sábado 18 de abril del 2020 en un Campo Argentino de Polo que lucirá como en sus mejores noches. It’s your one way ticket to midnight, call it heavy metal.

El público argentino es uno de los más valorados y amados por Metallica. Más allá de los clichés discursivos habituales, lo cierto es que hay pocas audiencias que sean tan apasionadas y furiosas para James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo y Lars Ulrich. Luego de su último paso por nuestro país en el marco del Lollapalooza Argentina 2017 como headliners junto a The Strokes, los norteamericanos anunciaron su retorno a la Argentina para el próximo sábado 18 de abril del año 2020 ¿Falta mucho? Sí, claro. Pero lo que sobra es la manija.

El Campo Argentino de Polo lucirá como en sus mejores noches para recibir a uno de los máximos exponentes históricos del (primero) thrash y heavy metal. Continuando con una de las más grandes giras de estadio que se hayan conocido, Metallica volverá a presentar su más reciente disco, ‘Hardwired...To Self Destruct’ (2016), trabajo con el que -tal como muchos fanáticos lo pedían hace varios años- regresó a las bases de su siempre pesado y cadencioso sonido. Pero es el diablo el que está siempre en los detalles, ya que muchos suponen que antes del desembarco en nuestro país, los californianos podrían dar a conocer su nuevo -y también muy esperado- disco de estudio.

Claro que no será lo único con lo que Metallica premiará a sus fanáticos en la Argentina, ya que está estipulado que en el mes de octubre se estrene en todos los cines nacionales el filme que retratará el show titulado “S&M 2″, festejo ideal para el 20 aniversario del magistral disco grabado junto a la Sinfónica de San Francisco. Previa ideal para un show que será similar al de hace dos años, plagado de éxitos de ayer y de hoy, pero con algunos retoques y sorpresas arriba y abajo del escenario.

Los invitados de lujo para esta fecha de la pata sudamericana del WorldWired Tour serán ni más ni menos que los muchachos de Greta Van Fleet, derivando todo en una cruza -generacional y estilística- interesante entre el rock pesado de los ‘60 con el quiebre que llegó desde el heavy metal veinte años más tarde. Habrá muchísima manija de acá en más, queda solamente esperar y hacer apuestas para ver cuando se terminan de agotar las entradas para uno de los shows que ya es de los más esperados y gigantes del próximo año. Higher than hig, feelin’ just right, call it heavy metal.

Metallica se presentará en el Campo Argentino de Polo el SÁBADO 18 DE ABRIL DEL 2020. Las entradas se venderán en la web de All Access. Estarán escalonadas en Preventas e iniciarán con un precio de $2500 + Service Charge.
