Harvey’s signed on to a new film project, a comedy called Road Dogs:

Dallas Roberts (Big Sky), Arden Myrin (Orange Is the New Black) and Harvey Guillén (Reacher) have signed on to star in the comedy Road Dogs, from Bustled Knuckle Productions and Residue Remains Productions, which goes into production in Minnesota this summer.

The film centers around three stand-up comedians who hit the road for a simple weekend showcase but soon find their plans derailed by a crooked club owner and her homicidal bouncer. Vanessa Leigh is directing from her and Aaron W. Bennett’s script, which was based on Bennett’s time as an improv comic and comedy club owner in Central Washington. The duo will produce alongside Kris Black from Residue Remains Productions, with Hunter G. Williams of Busted Knuckle Productions serving as executive producer.

IMDb lists Harvey’s character’s name as Jimmy and includes a poster:

@noetic-noesis-noein Look, I know you never sent me this, but I have ENTIRELY too many thoughts and feelings about these two. So here you go. Enjoy! Harvey is more dominant. This should need no explanation, really. Harvey is dominant and assertive both in and out of the bedroom. He’s very protective of Arden, but never in a creepy or uncomfortable way. He just doesn’t want to see her get hurt, even though he knows she has powers and is perfectly capable of protecting herself. I think they’re both cuddly, but Harvey more so. He’s extremely touch-starved and doesn’t get to show physical affection often. He will cuddle the shit out of his partner until they get annoyed and ask him to stop. He usually falls asleep holding her. Harvey is the big spoon. Duh.

Arden uses all the hot water. Harvey doesn’t mind cold showers. He won’t complain too much if she hogs the hot water. They shower together a lot and share the hot water. The most trivial thing they fight over: They rarely fight, and the things they DO fight over are not trivial. Arden will always tell Harvey when he’s pushing himself too hard, not getting enough sleep, etc. It’s very hard for him to just relax and take it easy, even when his mental health is at stake. The man is a chronic overachiever and perfectionist. While they both want to make Gotham a better place, they have differing ideas about how to do it. Arden does most of the cleaning. Harvey isn’t the domestic type, but he’s happy to help and make the workload easier. Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working? Harvey, for sure. He grew up in a crappy apartment with bad heating, so he’s intimately familiar with that situation. Who leaves their stuff around? Arden. Harvey is a very organized person, he's not one to leave his stuff lying around. He’s a bit of a neat freak, I think it stems from growing up in a bad neighborhood and being surrounded with filth, grime, and trash. I can definitely see Arden just leaving her stuff everywhere and cluttering up Harvey’s nice, meticulously-organized, townhouse. But he doesn’t mind because he loves her. Arden remembers all their anniversaries. She won’t let Harvey forget. Harvey doesn’t keep track of anniversaries as much as he probably should, but he loves celebrating them with her. Arden remembers to buy milk. Harvey is so stressed and over-worked he doesn’t always remember. I think Arden handles most of their grocery shopping. Harvey will happily accept whole milk, but he loves chocolate milk the best and makes no secret about it.  Arden does most of the cooking. Harvey can cook, but the food he makes is very basic and practical. There’s nothing fancy or exotic in his repertoire. As a child, it was learn to cook or starve. His parents weren’t always around to feed him and his sister. Arden picks what they watch. Harvey doesn’t watch much TV outside of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and classic movies on TCM, so he’s happy to let her choose. He’ll even tolerate vapid reality shows for her. Nicknames for each other: Arden calls Harvey Harv affectionately, (sometimes exasperatedly) and full names him whenever she scolds him. Harvey calls her sweetheart, sometimes baby. Harvey always pays for dinners. Because he’s a gentleman.  Arden steals the covers on cold nights, and Harvey lets her.  Harvey kissed Arden first. It was an impulsive move, and he was probably a little drunk. Harvey’s more confident and uninhibited when he’s drunk. At first he’d be super flustered and apologize, but once he realized how much Arden liked it, he would kiss her again. This time longer and harder. Arden remembers everything. Harvey is stressed, overworked, and doesn’t have the best sleep schedule, so he sometimes forgets things. Writing important names/dates in his journal or a notebook helps. After becoming a martyr, he has  memory loss about his time in Arkham that takes a while to heal. But Arden is patient with him. Most of the time. If Arden were hurt, Harvey would try his best to treat her at home with a first aid kit. If it’s really serious, they’d go to the ER. Harvey is both very stubborn and desensitized to pain. It’s extremely difficult to get him to go to the hospital unless he’s actively bleeding to death. He’d rather have Arden take care of him unless there’s absolutely no choice. Harvey is the dirty talker. This man has a filthy mouth both in and out of the bedroom. Random headcanon: Arden is one of the few people who ever gets to see Harvey’s vulnerable side. He always feels safe and comfortable with her, even comfortable enough to show her his moments of weakness.

i have a lot of favorites, but one of them is definitely off-west end's version of another national anthem! i'm going entirely off of the transcript and audio, but i love the direction and staging... also it's probably the most aggressive another national anthem i've ever heard lolz

8. a concept or direction you'd like to see

not sure how to word this but i'd love to see more modern proprietors! i loved how in arden theatre the proprietor was implied to be a right wing podcaster/influencer, it works really well for the character and adds a really interesting dynamic to the show.

9. a Choice from any production that you're obsessed with

this one's very easy, definitely in the 2021 revival when lee harvey oswald looks out at the audience when the assassins are telling him the impact his assassination will have on the world. i went BONKERS when i first watched that moment, BECAUSE THE IMPLICATIONS!!! the assassins were right that the assassination will affect the entire world, and it's manifested in an audience coming to see a musical about assassinations. the audience becomes complicit in the scene, and i think it really adds to the weight of the eventual showing of the shooting.

13. least fave version of [character/song]

this one university production's version of everybody's got the right, their voices don't really blend well and you can tell the proprietor is reaching for a lot of the notes. it made me feel really bad because she probably would've sounded fine if they changed the key of the instrumentation :(

Harvey collapsed into the chair behind his desk. Exhaustion seeped into his bones. Some days he was only running on two or three hours of sleep. After a while, that took its toll on you. Being the new kid didn’t help, either. He was a shiny new goldfish in a tank full of piranhas.

Similarly to fellow cellar dweller, West Coast, predictions of an improved North Melbourne are not matched by an expectation of a rise up the ladder. For a club that has failed to win more than four games in any of the past four seasons, there is a feeling that North Melbourne's attempted return to relevance is only now beginning after a series of false starts. It was reported in 2019 that when then coach Brad Scott suggested to the board the playing list was mediocre and in need of a rebuild, he was told they had already started rebuilding three years earlier and could not afford to do so again (referring to the year they moved on Nick Dal Santo, Brent Harvey and Drew Petrie among others). So Scott left and was replaced by Rhyce Shaw who coached only two seasons, who was succeeded by David Noble who coached even less than that, following which "the great white hope" Alastair Clarkson arrived and coached just nine games before needing extended personal leave. Exhausted? Spare a thought for someone like Curtis Taylor who has played for six senior coaches in five years on the list.

Clarkson eventually returned for four dead-rubber clashes at the end of 2023 but is finally enjoying clear air and a full pre-season with his young list and without the spectre of the Hawthorn racism scandal looming - at least for now. The coach would be looking at the talent North Melbourne have amassed in the last two national drafts and daring to dream... Could Harry Sheezel, George Wardlaw, McKercher and Duursma one day be looked back on as being as signficant a haul as Lance Franklin, Jarryd Roughead and Jordan Lewis were at the Hawks in 2005? Perhaps so but it has not all been blue skies overhead at Arden Street, given at the time of this writing Tarryn Thomas has been suspended for 18 matches by the AFL for abuse toward women and his contract finally torn up by the club. Thomas was a distraction the club could ill afford and a toxic presence it is better off without, despite desperately needing players of his considerable talent.

A side with so much youth needs leaders along every line to drive the standards off the field and provide direction on the field. The exits of Goldstein, Ziebell and Ben Cunnington will leave a leadership vacuum at North Melbourne even if their best football was clearly behind them and it remains a concern as to who will step up to fill it. Jy Simpkin, a co-captain, is one who has demonstrated loyalty to the club and resilience by managing 18 games in 2023 despite injuries. Nick Larkey, Luke Davies-Uniacke and Cam Zurhaar possess all the talent and have now moved into an age and experience profile where they should start to throw others on to their back and win the occasional game. It was a surprise to see Luke McDonald tapped to go around again as a co-captain given his lack of awareness, limited skill and a question mark on whether he would be in any other club's best 22.

The plan at North Melbourne for 2024 would be fairly simple: get games into their young guns, become harder to play and score against and put a stop to the blowout losses (despite being more competitive last year than in 2022, they still suffered seven 40-plus point defeats). It should not be beyond them to double the number of wins from three to six and demonstrate to their fans and the wider football world that after backfiring and stalling out a few times, the car is finally moving forward.

Déjà vu in the bottom four continues, next up is Hawthorn…

Comfort movie: Almost Famous

Comfort food: Tom Kha Gai

Comfort clothing: well at home it’s soft pants all the time, outside idk, no real comfort clothes I guess, things can be tight or oversized or short or flowy I don’t really mind, and I love bright colors, but I almost never show cleavage. Nothing to do with modesty, I just don’t find it that aesthetically pleasing on myself? Also, in my thirties, I have unfortunately (?) become a Birkenstock person. 

Comfort song: Uhm...too many to list here? If I’m feeling happy, let’s go with La Vita Nuova by Christine and the Queens, if I’m feeling sad, anything by Amen Dunes  Lana Del Rey, Florence + The Machine, Cat Power, Shearwater. If I feel like dying inside, Leaving Hope by Nine Inch Nails. But also Fleetwod Mac! Elton John! PJ Harvey! FKA Twigs! The Editors! The War On Drugs! Hole! The Jezabels! Yeah can’t answer this question with just one band let alone one (1) song. 

Comfort book: Ok, that’s probably even worse than the song question. But going for strictly comfort reading, probably The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden. 

Comfort game: all my favorite games are like post-apocalyptic and/or Zombie games, so not exactly comforting. 😬

Canned Heat, Nazareth, Edgar Broughton Band, Groundhogs, Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Medicine Head, all appeared at Buxton Festival in Derbyshire, England. Hell's Angels arrived in force and proceeded to drink the site dry. Initially they paid for the booze, but when the money ran out a deputation was sent into the audience to collect donations of 10p per person. About 20 minutes into his set Chuck Berry was showing one of the Angels how to do his duck-walk properly. He did one from one end of the stage to the other and disappeared into the wings. The band played on, the Angels bopped, and Chuck legged it to his car and drove off at high speed, never to return.

1979 - Tubeway Army

Tubeway Army scored their first UK No.1 album with 'Replicas'. The band led by lead singer Gary Numan were the first band of the post-punk era to have a synthesizer-based hit, with their single 'Are 'Friends' Electric?'

1987 - Guns N' Roses

Guns N’ Roses released their debut album on Geffen Records: Appetite For Destruction featured the singles 'Welcome to the Jungle', 'Sweet Child o' Mine', and 'Paradise City'. The album now has worldwide sales in excess of 28 million, 18 million of which are in the US, making it the best-selling debut album of all time there.

1990 - Roger Waters

Roger Waters' The Wall took place at the Berlin Wall in Potzdamer Platz, Berlin to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall eight months earlier. Over 350,000 people attended and the event was broadcast live throughout the world, Van Morrison, Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell, The Scorpions, Cyndi Lauper, Sinead O’Connor and others took part.

2002 - Gus Dudgeon

Producer Gus Dudgeon, who worked with artists including Elton John, David Bowie, The Beach Boys, Kiki Dee, The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, The Strawbs, XTC, and Joan Armatrading, was killed aged 59 in a car accident near Reading, together with his wife Sheila. They had been driving along the M4 motorway on their way home from a party when Gus fell asleep at the wheel of the Jaguar XK8 convertible, crashing down an embankment at speed and ending up in a ditch.

2004 - Jerry Goldsmith

Composer Jerry Goldsmith died after a long battle with cancer aged 75. Created the music for scores of classic movies and television shows ‘Star Trek’, ‘Planet of the Apes’, ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ and ‘Dr. Kildare.’

2005 - Long John Baldry

UK singer Long John Baldry died of a chest infection. He was one of the founding fathers of British Rock 'n' Roll in the 1960s performing with Blues Incorporated and Cyril Davies' R&B All Stars. He later fronted the Hoochie Coochie Men, with Rod Stewart and then Steam Packet with Brian Auger and Julie Driscoll. Also a member of Bluesology with Elton John. He also narrated on Winnie The Pooh recordings for Disney and was the voice for Robotnik on the Sonic The Hedgehog computer game.

2007 - Don Arden

Sharon Osbourne's music mogul father Don Arden died in a Los Angeles nursing home at the age of 81. Dubbed the Al Capone of Pop for his uncompromising business practices, he steered Small Faces, Black Sabbath and ELO to stardom.

2008 - The Police

The Police played the first of two nights at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado during the final leg of their 152-date world Reunion tour. The tour became the third highest grossing tour of all time, with revenues reaching over $340 million.
