"Further criticising the government, Kumar adds: “In March, our homes were demolished by the Delhi Development Authority, causing hundreds of families to be displaced and live on the road. Now, again, the calamity has fallen on us. First, they took our land to make a park, on which we used to cultivate and earn money, and we stayed here only and lived in makeshift tents. Now these tents are also washed away, and we have nothing left with us. I cannot see my children starving, but what I can do is nothing. I am hoping I will overcome this as I overcome the demolition of my home.”

NEW DELHI: The Yamuna was flowing close to the warning mark in Delhi on Sunday morning, but the water level is receding gradually, officials said.

Stone Barrage
Patharla Barrage (Hindi: पथराला बांध) is a barrage on the Somba River in the Indian state of Haryana. It is located in the Yamuna Nagar district.
History--
The western Yamuna Canal, built by Firuz Shah Togalak in 1335, was completely submerged in the fall of 1750 when it was completely submerged. During the British rule, its restoration was undertaken in 1817, with the help of a group of Bengal Engineers, and the work of the Stone Barrage was carried out in 1875 at Dadupur.
The West Yamuna Canal flows from the Hathni Kund Barrage to a vast area 38 km south of the post office and south of the Dune. These include Ambala district, Hisar district, Sonepat district and Jind district.
