bit of a silly question but which of the main cast of atla do you think would get the most into ttrpgs?
aang would get into them because he’s too cool to have any shame and he loves to play :)
katara “doesn’t do that nerd shit”
sokka gets offended that katara would classify it as “nerd shit” when real nerds know that it is obviously “geek shit.” either way, he also claims it’s lame and embarrassing. but then aang begs him for help with some administrative/organizational work with his latest campaign (is that what they’re called? i also don’t do that nerd geek shit) and sokka gets really annoying about it and ruins the entire fun of the game so aang is just like “nvm forget i asked.”
aang would rope toph into it because he knows she likes being creative. she plays as the biggest buffest man in the world
suki similarly doesn’t do nerd shit
zuko similarly claims that real nerds find the bastardization and commodification of the high fantasy subgenre to be appalling and crude. aang’s like “well this invite was just a courtesy anyway…”
azula doesn’t have any friends who would do this with her but if she ever somehow managed to find any she would get really, really into it.
mai really likes video games so you’d assume she’d also be into this but her fatal flaw is that if she spends more than one hour in a room full of people at any given time she will combust into ash so. no thanks
everyone simply assumes off the bat that ty lee is too cool for this. and they’d be right

s13?
oooh interesting one!
i liked watching it: yes (there were a few unwatchable sections but those were nearly all just buckleming eps and i was honestly surprised how easy it went down generally)
i like thinking about it: i'm torn. yes / no, because i'm not interested. kind of split here. like i do love to think about the widower arc and maybe funeralia but that's really............ it. there's not much else to chew here. it's conceptually a really bad season.
i like what it could have been: no, because it didn't have any really good potential. like the widower arc is like. it's a gesture at a better show, it was doa on spn. and while i like thinking about jack stuff i really really prefer fourteen for that. like i think a little about jack&mary and about 13x23 (what if the thing we were disturbed by about jack is that he learned from tfw to solve all problems with violence? what then?) but just. not that much.
i like its broader impact on the narrative: no, because it had no major impact. this is unfair because jack existing was an impact as such but also you could knit together the end of 12 and the start of 14 and lose almost nothing.
