Oh how I love the nights where I feel the joyful urge to redesign my standing altar:
I am so excited for the upcoming vernal equinox; in my practice, Apollo leaves us on the winter solstice and returns on the first day of spring. I’ve missed him so much - but with every passing day I can feel him returning to us with the sun.
To honor this I themed my altar around him - disassembling his solo altar and reincorporating its elements back into my standing altar.
My Lord is returning to the Earth, and my joy cannot be contained!
Along side her I placed the Oikos Theoi [Household Gods]. On the right: Zeus Ktesios (jar), Zeus Herkeios, Hera Oikos. On the left: Hekate, Apollo Argyieus, Hermes.
I'm only able to preform the low spoon version of this festival but still wanted to set this up. I hope I can complete the other half tomorrow. I'll use this for the jar candle bit I mention in the low spoon version.
I only had to get out 2 small boxes & Hestia's idol to set all this up.... except her candle I had no idea where her candle was so looking for that took up most energy. I had a feeling she really wouldn't like any candle except for hers.
I'm glad I set this up. My last drop of energy of 2023 went to the Theoi 🤍🔥
Queen of the hunt, holy Mistress of childbirth. Bestower of life and death alike, for your arrows always find their mark. Sacred lady of the moon and the wilds. Untamed, feral, and fire-eyed.
I find you in every dewy pink dawn. I feel you in the crisp, cold night wind. I know you in the white breath of deer herds as they move through your forests.
To be embraced by you is to be cradled in my true mother's arms. For I know you as the architect of my soul and the eternal keeper of my heart.
On this day, I thank you for your presence. I thank you for teaching me the endless cycle of rebirth, of a mother's love, of the thrill of the hunt.
For you have stretched your divine hand through this universe to reach me, and I pray only to take shelter in your sublime spirit.
I love you, my lady. Always and forever with all of me.
I recently re arranged my room and fixed my altars
Here are my altars for Fair Lady Aphrodite, Lord Ares, and Lord Hermes
I will forever be grateful and thankful to have them, they always help me in my times of need . I don’t know what I’d do without them , I love them so much words truly cannot express my gratitude
Day 1 of my week for Apollon (and I guess I want to talk about it ?)
There is my altar ! It's an all-in-one because this is the only space I have. The only thing that stay are the plants because i don't work with that much of them. The rest depends of the deity, depictured by the moodboard. Sadly, I cannot lit candles here so they are just...there.
As I said, most of my practice is through virtual and devotional acts. So, Day 1 is about writing a poem (but I'll not share it).
(I wish i did more research before so the pictures of the moodboard wouldn't have been from Pinterest, but it is temporary)
