Okay I'm going to describe a superhero... you ready?

Okay, so this superhero is a teenager who died and came back to life with the ability to speak with mythological or dead figures with just a single catchphrase. He has had multiple abilities depending on canon but commonly has the ability to change his form from insubstantial to solid and turn invisible. He also has a ghost guardian that he can summon.

Who's your guess?

huh? Danny Phantom? pffft no,

I'm talking about Kid Eternity of course!

Yeah... I had to stop and stare at the wall for a second after learning about him. And its not even like an inspiration thing, not on Kid's side of things anyway. He was first shown in December of 1942 and had quite the run of comics. He's been around for a long time... like he was in Teen Titans!

Really makes me think about Danny Phantom though. Like ignoring the implications that Butch might have caught the idea of DP from Kid, I just want to think about crossovers.

Cause there is quite the love for DP x DC crossovers for some people. And I really feel like this brings something really interesting and different to think about when it comes to that. Theres a lot more to Kid Eternity's origin and powers then just the broad strokes I listed but man... I have so many thoughts about it. Like Danny is a historical figure because of his stunts with time. Could you imagine Kid summoning him with his powers because of that??? Or Danny explaining his origins and someone pauses and is like 'Wait a minute... I know someone like that' and Danny takes it the completely wrong way.

I dunno man. This character came out of nowhere and kicked me in the teeth I swear. Definitely going to be thinking about him for a while. Might do an even deeper dive on the character later but not right now.

If NO ONE will talk about the connections between Encanto and The Outsiders, I will.

-the characters, okay, the character crossovers,

Ponyboy Curtis is Mirabel Madrigal (the quirkyyyy one who thinks differently/is differently main character energy)

Sodapop Curtis is Isabel Madrigal (the pretty one who often gets seen as only beautiful/perfect and shallow because of it, but really do have a kind soul and are willing to sacrifice so much for their family)

Darry Curtis is Luisa Madrigal!!!!!! (The strong one, heavily depended on for physical/emotional labor, always stressed and worried about taking care of the family)

Two bit Mathews is Camilo Madrigal (the comedic character that drops hints of a deeper person/meaning but no one ever talks about it, also secretly tired of having to keep up the jokes all the time and never being trusted with anything serious)

Johnny Cade is Antonio Madrigal (shyer more dependent character who is close to having a massive character change~ possibly coming of age)

Dallas Winston is Bruno Madrigal (I see the connection here not in personality but how people act about these types of characters- abandoned, taboo characters who get shoved away, deemed as wicked)

Steve Randle is Delores Madrigal (often ignored but actually carries a big part in the plot which is never discussed- this character has a lot connections and uses them, also worth noting that Delores kinda treats Mirabel like Steve treats Pony with the innocent seeming snarky remarks, if you don’t understand I am referring to “Oh, she didn’t get one” when talking about gifts which was absolutely unnecessary)

-not to mention the “big family” trope in both of them

-and they both have trio siblingsss

-both have similar tropes of “adults not understanding” and abuse in families

-not to mention the outsiders is a musical and so is encanto

-also like some of the Songs are sooooo coded for certain outsiders characters

-imma do a list of that tbh

“The Family Madrigal” ~Ponyboy Curtis coded, he would introduce the gang like this

Okay, here's my theories and what I want in season 2 for Hazbin Hotel.

THEORIES

Lilith returns and reunties with Charlie and Lucifer

Lilith may had abused Lucifer due to the flashback in More Than anything, I may be reading too much into it, though!

Lute going rogue and lost her mind since Adam died.

Vaggie "where were you when Charlie needed you" moment with Lilith.

More info with Alastor made a deal with Lilith. (possibly to either keep smiling or to keep his mother safe in Heaven)

Fallen Angel Emily and Sinner Adam. (I swear if Emily becomes a fallen angel and ends up in hell, I'm going to need a punching bag like Morgan Terry has!)

New Guests at the hotel (apart from Lilith)

Vox and Alastor pawns for Heaven or Hell or both.

Lilith or the Vees or Lute are the main big villians for season 2.

Adam becomes a sinner after he died? I am not so sure about this one but I think it'd be interesting.

Lucifer gets closer to Charlie.

WHAT I WANT IN SEASON 2!!!

I want another beef song between Alastor and Vox because Stay Gone was awesome.

Need to see if Alastor and Lucifer agrees to work together, even if they still hate each guts.

I know it's probably too early for it but I wish to see Angel Dust to get out of his deal and for Valentino to die a very slow, painful and tortuous death (who's with me on that?)

I also want to see more full-on demon forms (Charlie, Angel Dust, Husker, Alastor and Lucifer)

I want either, Alastor, Niffy or Lucifer to kill Valentino, I don't see Angel Dust doing it because it would ruin his progress in season 1.

I don't want anything to happen to Fat Nuggets.

More Huskerdust moments (duh!) because I ship them just as hard as Not-So-Average Fangirl does.

More moments with Angel Dust and Fat nuggts since we didn't really get much scenes with them together in season 1.

Again, I know it's probably far too early for this. but...I want to know if my and other people's theory about Alastor making a deal with Lilith because it is not rocket sceince that he made a deal with "someone" and is leashed and was just as gone just as long as Lilith.

Again it might be too early for this, but I hope to see how some of them died (yes, I'm looking at you Angel) and ended up in a deal.

I'm also hoping to see some of the other sins/big demons dudes or women or some kind of tiny crossover with Helluva Boss.

I also want the episodes a bit longer.

I also want the episodes to be a bit longer and lot more catchy butt songs

I want more Charlie and Vaggie moments and some kiss scenes.

Ialso want to see where everything is going to go with Lucifer.

The eventual kazuha and sanemi dynamic

#kny crossover #genshin impact #kaedehara kazuha #shinazugawa sanemi #one day I’ll finish writing the first chapter. one day #anyways I love thinking about these two #i think platonic relationships are so fascinating #like you could definitely construe so many different friendships as romantic ships but to me these two as friends has so much potential #sanemi canonically dislikes Giyuu because he gives off a ‘better than everyone else there’ vibe that is purely unintentional #and canonically is friends with Iguro for reasons I still cannot figure out #sanemi’s so interesting because it’s not like he’s a purely chaotic character despite what his first appearance would suggest #the manga and genya’s memories clearly show that he has a lot of respect for oyakata-sama because oyakata-sama is not high and mighty and-#does in fact understand every sacrifice that goes into the battles that they fight that he must sit on the back lines for #sanemi is a very loyal person I think once someone has earned his loyalty even though he owes about showing this in very aggressive ways #I think he goes off against genya especially because genya fighting as a demon slayer goes against everything that sanemi has fought for #since they lost their happy lives sanemi has been fighting for at least one of them to still be able to live normally and he probably thinks #that Genya spat on that sentiment by becoming a demon slayer anyways #anyways I think sanemi and kazuha would have such an interesting dynamic #sanemi has the authoritative upper hand as a pillar but kazuha isn’t even a demon slayer which means sanemi’s position doesn’t do much #beyond acting as an indicator that he is one of the strongest of the corps anyways.#they’ve both lost a lot but sanemi still has someone to fight for whereas kazuha is holding onto the last embers of a corpse’s wishes #and I think them having a talk about their motivations would be very good #because I don’t think at this point that kazuha has very much reason to live beyond carrying on Tomo’s wishes #if the swords are parallels to visions I think Kazuha’s turning point will be when he receives his own nichirin sword #sorry for the long tags lmao

Was there a particular moment where the characters of FEH really sunk their claws in for you?

For me personally was the half a body, half a mind page from the silly little side comic (aka where Robin asks Kiran if Alfonse is their other half and they chose to interpret that very literally). The revelation that Alfonse and Kiran’s dynamic switches who has the braincell in the prince/tactician dynamic was eye opening. And then the follow up of Sharena being fucking gobsmacked that local introvert prince managed to S rank Kiran was beautiful 10/10 makes me both happy and sad. And from then on the brain rot has been STRONG. No thoughts head empty only these lil guys.

Oughgh I'VE. BEEN RUMINATING ON THIS.... (which is. Why it took so long for me to respond to LMFAOO)

BUT.... first of all YOUR INTERPRETATION. OF THE "Half a body, half a mind" bit is HUGE. Like you're so right, there is a lot of symbolism there even if it's silly!!! And esppp Sharena's reaction to Alfonse making a close friend, so easily in her eyes... that absolutely would be a sleeper agent thing for me actually. Like. I wouldn't consider it until Much later, and when I did it just never left my mind.

And I think that's the thing!! I've actually been having a lot of trouble, trying to pinpoint exactly Where each took such a strong hold on me LMFAO. I think, because it's this gradual and constant process of taking in information, noticing something Odd, re-examining, re-contextualizing, and gaining new perspective.

It def happened quicker w Alfonse though, cause he's actually much easier to read. Immediately you can tell his words and actions aren't matching up, and through that you can tell his feelings aren't matching his words either. You also see the clear reason Why he's Like That, on. Several different levels.

I think.... the lines of dialogue that always stick with me. His entire level 40 convo. I'm always thinking about it. I'll often revisit it. And, a lot of his lines to or about the summoner: "Please, remain with us, [summoner]?", "Or... is it that reality has been reshaped by my fear of having lost [summoner]?"

BUT, I think. What really got me was actually his Forging Bonds with Dieck. Like at this point I was already in way too deep LMFAO BUT. Dieck's fucking dialogue fucked me up SO much actually

I AM LITERALLY ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT THIS FUCKING DIALOGUE ‼️‼️‼️‼️It REALLY opened my eyes AND put words to something that was Constantly nagging at me. How Alfonse, from the very start, will say one thing, and then. Directly contradict himself. Not because he's disingenuous -- but because he's so split in two.

AND. AUGHHGH!! THAT'S!!!! You think he's so reserved, and he is. But he wears his heart on his sleeve and will talk openly with anyone who will listen. You think he's the cool and collected type, he OFTEN leaves people with that impression. But SO many times he acts rashly, with little regard for himself. He claims, he can't be driven by emotion because those driven by emotion cannot rule. BUT HE. IS. SUCH A PAINFULLY EMOTIONAL CHARACTER. Almost EVERYTHING he does is driven by his emotions -- I absolutely think so much about how he has a bit of a temper on him, and I think about all the little ways he so clearly and deeply loves Sharena, I think about how much of a mess he is over Bruno, I think about just how quickly he warmed up to the summoner despite insisting upon keeping his distance. Hell, you think he's like. This very serious guy. And he is! Aaand then next thing you know he's dug a ditch and he's thrown himself into it and he's covered in mud. AND. THE WILDEST PART OF THAT. Is the Way he does it, the reason Why, it. Tracks. Like yeah. He would do that. That's actually not out of character for him.

(ALSO as a side his Forging Bonds w f!Alear also live in my head rent free -- another instance of, taking a step back and re-evaluating. It was actually so refreshing in a way? You get used to just how warm he is with the summoner, that you forget just how cold he can be too. That's ALSO something I'm so not normal about. The asshole tendencies. The coldness, and the ruthlessness. It's subtle, but There. He does have a harsher side to him.)

AND ALL OF THIS....... still only feels like the tip of the iceberg. But literally I will never shut up about it LMFAOOO I GOTTA. BECAUSE. SHARENA‼️‼️‼️

I think actually I have an easier time pinning down where I started having Thoughts about her. Because, I made the same mistake a lot of charas in-universe make, even Alfonse, himself. Assuming, that just because she's outgoing and friendly, that she has an easier time making friends. When like. Really, it's been present the whole time actually -- from that FEH comic, to the Paralogues featuring Katarina, like. She doesn't. She struggles just as much, if not more.

But I think, the exact point I actually internalized this was in her Forging Bonds w f!Byleth. Like. Those convos REALLY make it clear, so much so I felt stupid for not even seeing that sooner. And, it helped me re-contextualize her level 40 convo also! When I first got that dialogue, I really didn't know what to make of it. LIKE. ABSOLUTELY she's so sweet and I love her. But. I really had no idea what to make of it! Until like. It became clear to me, ohhhhhhhh I. Fell for the front she puts up as a defense mechanism. You can be cheerful and silly and deeply hurt and have just as many interpersonal issues as someone who like. Shows clearer signs of having those issues. Okay! Got it 🫡 SHKAHSJSHJAJ

And then I think that's when I became just deeply unwell about her too LMFAOOOOOOO

i cant believe i forgot that im a fire emblem enjoyer 🙄 i was reading some of my notifs/tags from that one post about the video game series you've played the longest and oh my god.

i would like to apologize to fire emblem for forgetting that i've played it even though it's probably one of the longest standing series in my life next to pokemon and xenoblade... 💀 (<- they have 565 hours in fire emblem, 170 in awakening, 45 for fates, 75 for sov, and 275 for three houses and perhaps a few hours from feh but we don't talk about that)

anyway. did you know i like fire emblem. and that i like reading tags. i hope you all have swag times with whatever game series makes you happy! 💙

#brought to you by my love for pacify and the fact i've just finished a great sherlock/james bond crossover #i came for the johnlock and stayed for the 00q #which by the way. how fucking incredible is that as a ship name. how cool is it. it's so cool i fucking love it #like do i care about james bond. no! does the ship name appeal to me a whole lot for some reason. yeah!#i kept having little bursts of surprise because q called him james (of course) so okay fine it's james #except that's James Bond. genuine question: do you think fan fiction non-trivially benefits the creators of the corresponding original work?

#the only time i may have been influenced to view something b/c of a fic it was a crossover fic by a fave author with my OTP #and even then i stopped reading a couple chapters in and didn't consume the relevant media until months later #on recommendation of an irl friend so i'm not even sure the fic did that much #and i feel like most people i know off line choose their media by friend recommendations #and whatever netflix or disney plus suggests #and don't actually think or care about fan content at all #eg a lot of my irl friends loved talking about game of thrones; breaking bad and sherlock back in the day but consumed no fan content #except maybe a little bit of speculation of what people thought would happen next #they'd never heard of shipping when i mentioned people shipping sherlock and john and thought the idea was hilarious #but then again maybe this is just me showing my age?#i do get the impression that fanfiction has penetrated mainstream society more deeply among younger generations #yes this is about that but i am also wondering this more generally #leverage #(I originally posted leverage fic anonymously to avoid spamming my followers not to avoid people following me to the fandom #because i didn't really think that was a thing #though I guess now it has that as a bonus)

SRW is such a funny thing for me to think about cause it’s like “wow a trpg game that’s been ongoing for decades that really encapsulates how huge and significant mecha is to japan by having every and all mecha been featured in this giant crossover that also has really cool attack animations that replicate the shows they’re from well, with new original content for some shows sprinkled in as well” at first glance then I proceed to be salty by going “oh wait the main show I like in here is only ever used for one iteration which they end up butchering and all the other mechas I’ve liked have shown up maybe once because I’ve liked the ones that had to flop in Japan- also this game caused tags to be unnecessarily filled with crossovers and people acting like they know a series just because it was in SRW thanks I hate it” and this cycle is only a constant because I haven’t actually played a SRW besides 30s demo for a bit 💀

i Need to write something about dcmk because i just have so many thoughts and nothing i've read has done it for me but I do not know what. But I need to write Something

#drop #i am a chronic overanalyst #and dcmk has . so much in the way of thematic parallels and just so much? potential #like i see these characters and i think. boy you have so much potential for an extremely interesting story #like. list of themes that dcmk's characters are terrifyingly well tailored for lighting round go:#(some of these intentional some not)#justice & morality esp pertaining to law. selflessness vs selfishness and how they're inherently intertwined.#so much loss. good lord. of course death is a theme in The Murder show but like actually it's everywhere #avoidance & escapism. looking directly at every parent in the series as i say this #identity. don't need to elaborate on that i think #this is a weird one but i feel like there's also a lot of stuff about Passion and the conflict between reaching your goal & the people #you've left behind #and in general it's just. doing things both good and bad for the people you care about #and likewise sacrificing the people you care about for the sake of protecting the many #ok i could go on forever but anyways.#this isn't analysis or anything these are just things i personally think could be interesting to explore #i have a few comics planned though so. i will probably make at least Something #but god . god. the constant overwhelming urge to write something.#if i do ever get around to writing that atla crossover fic proper. all of this will be there. like in excessive amounts.#.... i have got to stop leaving all of my thoughts in the tags. but i won't 💚

mfm fans really make everything soooo dramatic whenever they break away from the normal format

#and i do agree at the very least since they partnered with amazon it's definitely different though i don't think that's the sole reason #but i haven't listened to today's ep and apparently it's a dubbed version of an old episode #and people are like 'omg people shouldn't be listening to a murder podcast with their kids and it shouldn't ruin things for us'#like hey sure i wouldn't listen to that stuff with kids but it sounds like it's pretty clearly a joke #and....you can literally just listen to the original episode with the cursing #which is CLEARLY what people wanna do anyway bc they complain about everything #and like i said i did love it more before it became more business-y though i know how proud they are of what it's become #just bc like when they were doing thier own research sure it wasn't perfect but it was clear they were more interested in their stories #but yeah like i was not mad when last year like every couple weeks they were doing interviews/crossovers #like there was still new content in there!#oh and people on ig were like 'they used to release live shows as new episodes' like yeah and they probably ran out #and haven't toured since before covid sooooo #and i rmr them saying even as things were ~improving~ they were gonna be in the last wave to start touring again #like they said multiple times AND ya know there could be any number of reasons they're not comfortable starting to tour again #be it covid or something else but like. idk just chill?#maybe some of these people have gone back and listened to old episodes a million times and that no longer works #but i bet a lot of them have not and would find that much more satisfying but. they would rather whine on instagram #god when i saw TWO HUNDRED comments about something posted this morning....bonkers

Slashers x Reader (Separate)

Includes: Freddy, Michael, Jason, Thomas, Bubba, Brahms, Norman, Billy, & Stu

A/N: Hmm... I don't think I do. Looks like I need to whip up another fic. Here you go!

Freddy Krueger

Although Freddy doesn't need to eat, he'll try anything you make him!

He's happy that you have a hobby that you enjoy during the day

He's even happier that he gets to taste the results

Whenever you visit him, he makes sure the dream world has a kitchen for you in case you want to make something while you're there

You're more inclined to bake there anyways because Freddy can get you just about any ingredient your heart desires

When you do make items, Freddy switches into his "Kiss the Cook" apron and matching hat

He may not help you with the baking, but he still expects kisses while you work

He'll stand beside you, just observing everything you do

He doesn't ask too many questions either, he just likes seeing you relaxed

Once the treats are ready, he literally stabs a few onto his knifed glove and eats them off of it

There hasn't been a single thing you've made that he hasn't enjoyed

Michael Myers

Michael is pretty neutral with your enjoyment of baking

He tends to his hobbies, you tend to yours

He doesn't feel like there needs to be any crossover of sorts

However, he won't deny you when you ask him to try things

And if you need help accessing the top shelf, he'll help you out

He secretly has a big sweet tooth, and your warm smile influences him to try everything (he'd be dead before he admitted it though)

He has a pretty basic taste in sweets too

He enjoys the majority of the cookies, cakes, and breads you've made

He isn't a big fan of pie or dried fruits though

If you make a batch of anything, he'll try a bite if you ask, but that'll be it

You're always certain he's just trying to be polite

But whenever you wake up in the morning, half the tray is gone

Michael will just shrug it off of course

But it's pretty obvious he enjoys your treats

Jason Voorhees

He absolutely loves that you bake!

To be fair, he'd love literally anything you do that makes you happy, but baking reminds him a lot of his missed childhood

You've made a couple things already that reminded him of stuff his mother used to make, and it almost brought him to tears

He doesn't really get sweet cravings like he did when he was younger, but he will never say no to trying something of yours

He also enjoys decorating some of the treats too

His large hands tend to fumble a bit, and nothing comes out as good as yours, but he's having fun, and that's what matters most to you both

His favorite thing is coming home after a long day to the smell of baked goods and to see you casually mixing ingredients together

You just seem so content, and it gives him a taste of what domestic life is like with you

He'll always come over to greet you with a hug, not caring if you're covered in flour

And once he's gotten cleaned up, he just sits at the table out of the way, watching you

He especially loves when you talk to him while baking

It just makes him all warm inside

Thomas Hewitt

He never really grew up with home baked goods like yours before, so it feels like literal heaven when he smells the sugar in the air

He likes walking up and peering over your shoulder, trying to see what you're doing

He also just likes hanging out with you in case you need help with anything

If your arms ever get tired from mixing or kneading, you know who to ask

If you let him, he'll take little tastes of the batters, predicting how much he's going to like them once they're done

(It's always a 10/10)

If it's sweet, he likes it

There's never been anything you've made that he didn't eat almost all of in one night

He loves if you make enough for the whole family too!

He's a bit hesitant to help decorate, and even more so to help add ingredients

But if you ask, there's no way he'd be willing to say no

Bubba Sawyer

He adores your baking!

He absolutely has no idea what you're doing half the time, but he's happy about it all the same

You've got to be careful with this one though

Because if you even turn around for a second, the batter is gone

Same goes for when the treats are cooling

If you leave the kitchen, they'll be gone within just a couple minutes

You have no idea how he manages to do it

At least he's showing you just how much he loves your bakery?

But besides that, he's a great hand to have in the kitchen

He can mix and mix for days

And he's always there to help hand you whatever you need

Just don't trust him with the powders unless you want a white, dusty kitchen

He's also not the best around the hot oven, having burnt himself a handful of times

It's kind of like having a helpful but clumsy child in the kitchen with you

But he's so sweet you can't bare to tell him to leave

Brahms Heelshire

Brahms never grew up with many sweets in the house

So having his own baker at home is like feeding a starving man

And with Brahms, you can imagine how that goes

Will come to you almost every day with a new treat he is craving

In fact, he even added to the rules list that you needed to make him a bedtime treat or else he refuses to go to sleep

You love baking of course, so it's not a problem, but some of his requests are absurd

A pie covered in chocolate ice cream smooshed with cookies and drizzled with brownie batter might be a bit much for a midnight snack

But you honestly did it to yourself

The moment he tasted your treats, there was no going back

And be careful when the sugar rush hits

He's ready to bounce off the walls with you in tow

Norman Bates

Norman has always been one for domestic hobbies

So the fact that you're a baker makes him feel so cozy and warm

Waking up to fresh muffins with his tea, coming home to a plate of brownies, and even being woken up in the middle of the night to some wild cookie recipe all makes Norman so happy

Jokingly complains that you're fattening him up

He's honestly a pretty good baker himself, although he argues that his skill is nowhere near as good as yours

But there have been a handful of times he prepare his own treat beside you in the kitchen, and it always came out amazing

And because of his experience, he's happy to give a lending hand when you need

If you're making something you know by heart instead, then he's still there beside you, keeping up with the dishes so you don't have to tend to a mess later

Norman enjoys whatever makes you happy, and is eager to learn even more about what you love too!

Billy Loomis

He's pretty chill about it at first

He thinks it's a cute hobby, but doesn't know much about it himself

However, the first time he was actually there with you watching you work and tasting what you made...

He really gained a better perspective on it

He can see the hard work and true enjoyment you put into the hobby, and this makes him appreciate it more

He's not huge on sweets, but seeing you put all of this together for him makes it impossible to deny them

Will be brutally honest if he likes something or not, but there's truly only been a couple times he actually didn't like what you made

Will occasionally sit on the counter beside you and just ask basic questions

"What does this thing do?" "How long does it need to sit there?" "Is there a difference between folding and mixing?"

You always smile at him since his genuine curiosity is cute

Plus, it shows he's trying to learn more about what you do

Will definitely stand behind you and rest his head on your shoulder while you work

Stu Macher

You love to bake? Well, Stu loves to eat

Match made in heaven in his eyes

He honestly is surprised by the amount of effort that it takes to whip up a simple cookie or cupcake

He's not usually on this end of the food process

But he honestly enjoys watching what you do

Will literally just stare and zone out, making you laugh

Loves loves loves when it's time to lick the spoon

He will dab batter onto your nose though

He's a huge fan of helping you decorate too!

Just be careful, because Stu is also a huge fan of squeezing the piping bag directly into his mouth

But surprisingly, Stu has become pretty decent at piping frosting and making your treats look pretty

He always insists on eating the ones you decorate though because they "taste better"

He honestly just loves being able to show praise for the stuff you make him and will always request a fun treat to accompany your weekly movie nights
