Also just a small stupid headcanon I came up with last night; Iris most definitely got canceled on Twitter (Chatot? Chatotter??) at least once. It was because a video of her making fun of gay people surfaced, she was making fun of Hilbert and Cheren

Mostly Hilbert

She would tho😭😭🤣 she won't make an apology video too, she'd even tag Cheren and Hilbert and go "I'm not wrong, that is my truth" and goes offline for like two years before posting "I'm still not wrong, these two are annoying"

Idk I imagine her posting stuff like "man I wish lesbians are real😔" while adding a picture of Bianca doing field work hahaha then Hilda reposts it with "world cruel, no lesbians near us, only these stupid gay men" with a picture of Hilbert and Cheren. Hilda also got cancelled

These mfers would be so insufferable online tho, Hilbert and Iris especially

Bianca would have like, an official account tho, verified or smth idk how twitter works, and she's like, posting stuff about pokemon, writing about their origins to live up Juniper's legacy but also adding her own research. Mostly it's just pictures of her pokemon tho hahah I do wanna say she has a private account where she posts pics of her friends and her mons, even the three dragons being all soft and sweet

Cheren also posts random pkmn facts too let's be real, Hilbert would always be the first one to like those posts but he doesn't reposts them telling Cheren "sorry babe, doesn't fit my blog theme"

Look, I believe the twins and Iris are so so so updated with every drama on the pkmn equivalent of twitter, I just know they are, didn't help that Iris was close with Diantha and Diantha has a ton of gossip in regards with famous people too, they would update their lil friend group about all the tea they got and N is so fucking confused please this boy is not made for the internet

Also for real tho, I know at one point Iris posts a group pic of them for the clout and bc she loves her friends and wanted to show em off. One girl reposts it with "who's that guy with the green hair, is he single🤭"

Hilda jokingly responds with "back off, he's my boyfriend"

"aren't you gay?"

N gets a lot of fans tho real, a lot of peeps were messaging Iris who N was and she just responds with "Hilda's cryptid boyfriend" N doesn't even know what's going on anymore please someone tell him why he's a cryptid and he's suddenly Hilda's boyfriend he thought Hilda likes women not men he's so confused man Zorua knows more about socmed than him everyone's so fucking sure it's actually Zorua that's handling N's twt account hahahah

Not to come crying to radblr mum but the lesbian/OSA discourse is so exhausting and disheartening right now and I’m seriously considering getting off tumblr. Radblr was the only space where I felt safe with my sexuality (as a lesbian) and experienced any sense of unity because of it. It was basically the only place I felt I had a community instead of being constantly made aware of my otherness. Starting out in this community I overlooked the prevalent racism because I was convinced that there were enough women that were progressive enough to embrace all women, in all forms. That perception is completely shattered for me now. It’s too mentally exhausting to combat misogyny, racism and, particularly, homophobia in my daily life as well as here. Tumblr really was my one escape and source of hope from the harsh prejudices of my real life but if lesbophobia is so pervasive even in this radical safe haven then there is really no hope for me. Anyway just wanted to whinge to you. I’m feeling a little heartbroken and I think I’ll delete my blog in the next few days. Lots of love ❤️

nooo 🥺 i wish you’d stay here but i get being exhausted by it… it really is disheartening especially seeing OSA women unite together to justify lesbophobia and doubling down on it instead of simply apologising. i don’t blame you 😔

First off happy lesbians week, hope you kiss lots of women!!

My sibling and I went to get ice cream after school (which in it of itself was fun) and I offhandedly mentioned how it was beach weather and they were like "...let's go to the beach" so WE DID

They beat me at mini golf and then bought a pool noodle just because and I drove there and back without crashing so this evening's been fun :DDD

Also also me and a friend are heading your way in June so attempt 2? 👀 (only if you're not busy!! And I can drive myself so no train faff!!)

About bisexuality and pansexuality.

I’m going to ignore the fact that some people think the difference between pansexuality and bisexuality is that the first one includes trans people because that’s a horrible and transphobic assertion to make and I can’t respect anyone who thinks that trans men have somehow a different gender than cis men.

The pansexuality definition I’m going to use is: “attraction to either men, women or non-binary people”.

The Bisexual Manifesto from 1990 reads:

Bisexuality is a whole, fluid identity. Do not assume that bisexuality is binary or duogamous in nature: that we have “two” sides or that we must be involved simultaneously with both genders to be fulfilled human beings. In fact, don’t assume that there are only two genders.

A lot of bisexual organizations or individuals [1] claim that it is a mistake to consider bisexuality as binary. We can say that the most accurate definition of bisexuality is “attraction to your gender and the other(s)”.

If bisexuality isn’t binary and it doesn’t exclude any gender, what is pansexuality?

In Sex and society: Vol. 2 [2] we can see it described as a sexual attraction that doesn’t recognize gender, that is “gender-blind”; a pansexual person just ignores gender as they consider “the feelings generated by their relationships” more relevant.

How can you ignore gender? In our society there are two kind of gender roles: feminine and masculine, everything you do is going to be classified as either of them. It doesn’t matter if you’re a girl, a boy or non binary, you’re looks or actions are going to be classified as feminine, masculine or androgynous in the best of cases. I’m not saying this is ok, but you can’t ignore the social and political context. Right now, gender is a real social construct and we can’t ignore it. But there is one thing we can do: not caring about it. I may know you’re a girl, but I don’t care about it.

When you fall in love with somebody, if you’re, for example, a lesbian, you don’t fall for her because she follows the femenine roles right. You fall for her because you like her as a person, not because of the gender roles society imposes.

People fall for people, yeah, some people may like only one gender but it doesn’t mean a lesbian likes all the girls in the world, it only means that the people she likes are girls.

There are straight people who get married and later their partner comes out of the closet as trans, and the straight person still loves them and feels attraction! Maybe they were bisexual all the time, or maybe their sexuality just flows to match the attraction towards their partner. Whatever the reason, they obviously didn’t fall for their partner just because of gender.

What I want to say: feeling like gender isn’t the most important thing about your crush/partner doesn’t make you special and doesn’t constitute another sexuality. You like people, yeah, like everybody else. They may like some concrete people but I don’t think pansexuals like absolutely everybody on the planet, they also like concrete people.

I think pansexuality is a way to erase bisexuality or to demonize it (by saying/implying bisexuality is binary, bisexuals only see gender, bisexuals don’t like transgender people...).

I also think that pansexuality is a sexuality people adopt just because they want to feel special and they want their feelings to be the purest and deepest.

Everyone falls for people. You’re not special for not minding gender because a lot of people don’t. And people who do, like gays and straights, still fall for the person, they don’t reduce people to just gender roles or gender expression.

I don’t know how to conclude this but 😔 🤟
