denji wished he met you earlier.

he wasted his first kiss on himeno, who not only made his first kiss experience terrible but also vomited in his mouth to make it worse. whenever he thinks back to that moment, his mouth goes dry and he thinks he might cry.

he thinks he might die of humiliation when remembering her vomit's chunky, gross taste. "bleugh!" he groans to himself, and aki turns to look at him confused. "what's wrong?" aki was in the middle of discussing something with someone that denji didn't bother to learn their name.

"nothing, i'm gonna go get water!" he excuses himself and power jumps on his back, "ooh! ooh! let me come! ponytail boy is boring." she sticks her tongue out, which aki ignores. "no, you're both in trouble. power, you need to stay. denji, hurry up." he replies, which makes power frown. "see, boring." but she just walks away and sits in a chair.

denji leaves the room, quickly shutting the door and holding his stomach. he feels like he might throw up. as he walks up to a water fountain, he bumps into a girl holding a bunch of papers in her arms.

"oh, sorry. wasn't watching where i was going." you say, bending down to pick them up. denji can barely form a word, and he thinks you're one of the prettiest people he's ever seen.

"oh- uh," he's not good with words so he just shuts up, bends down and helps you pick it up. "sorry, i also wasn't watching where i was going." he blurts out, scratching his head.

you just chuckle and reassure him that it's fine.

that's how you two first met.

over time, you and denji (and power), have gotten much closer. he comes over to hang out during the weekends or when you're back from school.

today, you're just chilling in your room watching an old show while you finished a new lego piece that you saved enough money to buy. (why the fuck is lego so expensive bro i just wanna build)

power got in trouble again so she is not here as denji knocks on your door. "coming!" you call, pausing your show and putting down whatever part from the lego you had in your hands down.

when you open the door you smile widely when you see a certain blond-haired boy in front of you. "oh, hey denji. wanna come in?" you ask, opening the door slightly more for him to enter. "yeah.. thank you.." he says, looking a bit flustered.

and over time he learned to be more neat and clean when coming over. he never listened to aki when he told him to put his shoes away nicely, so when he first stepped foot into your house and saw all the shoes neatly lined up, he couldn't help but want to please you and do the same.

you lead him to your room, which every time he steps into, he feels nervous. he fidgets with his fingers, not paying attention to where he is going and almost falls down.

"holy shit!" you cuss, trying to muffle your laughter. "are you okay, denji?" you help him back up on his feet, and you watch his face get red. "yeah.. i'm okay." he yells at himself to get his shit together in his head.

holy shit i just embarrassed myself like crazy!! he imagines power laughing in his face.

"here," you let him sit in the chair where your lego was near, "i'll get you ice." quickly, you rush downstairs and come back with and ice pack. when you hand it to him he mumbles a quiet, "thanks." and puts the ice on his little injury.

he turns the chair around to face the table in front of it, "hm? what's this?" he points to the lego. you tilt your head, "that's my new lego set! i jus' bought it!" you exclaim joyfully.

"woahh.." he looks at it closer, "what does that mean?" he asks, confused. "hm? have you never had lego before?" you ask him, "well i mean, i was basically homeless my entire life, and was on the verge of death like every other day trying to make money.. so, yeah.. never had one before." he shrugs, as if what he said literally wasn't crazy.

you cough awkwardly, "oh.." he just nods, still paying attention to the lego set, trying to understand what it is, "well, want me to show you?" you ask, trying to lighten the mood.

"yeah!" he exclaims, "okay, stand up," you shoo him out of your chair, "see this?" you show him the instruction book, "you need to follow what they're saying. so this page is where i'm on right now, you basically need to look for the pieces the page is telling you, and put them where the picture in the page has them. like this, see?" you show him.

he nods slowly, "can i try the next page?" he asks quietly, looking up at you. grinning down at him, you get up, "sure. here, try it."

Y/N awoke to the sound of her phone ringing. Rolling over she grabs her phone from her bedside table having every intention to ignore it until she sees Seonghwa's name, number and a photo of them his birthday last year is illuminated on the screen.

She quickly answers the video call before it ends. "Hi baby, Happy Birthday."

"Thank you, my love," he replies, looking and sounding tired. "Did I wake you up? I'm sorry, I didn't even consider the time difference."

"It's okay," she assures him. "I was in between sleep. How is your day going?"

"It’s going nicely. We few other schedules this morning, but the guys and I went out to a nice restaurant for lunch. I got even more gifts from them," he explains. "Now I'm just sitting in my hotel room, waiting for rehearsals, with a large bouquet of flowers and all my favourite snacks half eaten." He switches the camera to the snacks and flowers to show her that he received them. "I'm surprised some of them could be found here."

"Did you like them?" She asks, a soft smile on her face, though a part of her felt disappointed that she couldn't be there with him for his birthday and couldn't give them to him in person. You're thankful to Hongjoong and Yunho for helping you with it.

"I love them, Jagiya," he smiles. "Almost as much as I love you."

"I have more for when you get back home," she tells him.

"I don't need anymore, I have enough already," he says, looking at her with heart eyes through the phone. "You're all I need."

"I'll just take that Lego set you've been dying to get your hands on back to the store then," you tease him.

“You and the Lego set is all I need,” he says with a chuckle. “I love you.”

“I love you, too,” she replies. Her heart fills with love and happiness, seeing his smile and hearing his laugh. It overtakes the disappointment of not being able to be with him.

A Solid Plan

Prompt Day 5: Domestic Fluff | Word Count: 1000 | Rating: Light E | CW: Sexual Content | Tags: Established Relationship, Teamwork Makes the Dream Work, If You Build It: He Will Come, Idiots in Love, Silly Sex Mishaps, First Apartment, Flat Pack Furniture

"Are you sure you don't need the instructions?" Eddie asks, and Steve shakes his head. He definitely doesn't need the directions. It's like a picture booklet, more than actual plans on how to build this thing. So, he's good without, he's pretty sure.

"No, it's not that hard," Steve says, for the tenth time.

It's a bookshelf, not rocket science.

"Because, I think-"

"Eddie! Just let me do this, okay?" Steve snaps, cutting him off.

Eddie makes the motion for zipping his lips, and throwing away the key.

Steve smiles at him, can't not. Even if he's tired of putting together all this furniture. But he'll do it, for Eddie.

Eddie dragged him into this huge store, with names he can't pronounce, picking out pieces they had to put together themselves. That's not Steve's experience with furniture. Growing up, a truck brought a new couch, or a new bed frame, and the delivery guys just carried it through the double doors. Ready to use.

This? Is not that. They don't have the money for that kind of treatment, at least not right now. So, they're stuck with this headache. This is Lego furniture, he's pretty sure. But it's made out of particle board instead of plastic.

It's okay. Right now all they can afford is furniture with vaguely shitty instructions.

So, Steve turns the Allen wrench that came with it, tightening all the pieces until he has a bookshelf. He stands it up.

"See? Done," Steve says.

"Anything look wrong?" Eddie asks, a smug look on his face.

Steve looks at it, really looks.

The back panel is on backwards. Fuck.

"Shit, I can fix it."

"You wouldn't have had to fix it if you used the instructions," Eddie taunts, but he's smiling.

"Yes, you're right. I'm wrong," Steve says, dryly.

"Damn straight," Eddie says, but he holds onto it while Steve unscrews the back panel, so he can flip it around and screw it back on, the right way.

The bed frame takes both of them to assemble, and Steve isn't sure it's going to be sturdy enough to sleep on. Let alone fuck on. He should have brought his bedroom furniture from home. It's a little ugly, and his mom's taste, not his own, but it was solid wood. But they didn't want to move it halfway across the country.

So, now, they're stuck doing this, and Steve hopes it'll hold up until they can afford something better, sturdier.

Once it's built, Eddie helps him put the sheets on, and then he sits on it delicately. Eddie is thrilled, Steve is skeptical.

He was right to be skeptical. One thrust too hard, and Steve hears it give way at the same time they're suddenly falling.

They hit the floor, the mattress falling straight through the slats, the legs giving way to total collapse. Steve is stunned. He knew it was possible, but he wasn't expecting this to happen. Not really. Okay, maybe a little. But not the very first night. He thought it'd give way under heavy use. Not just fall to pieces immediately.

Maybe he put it together wrong.

"Shit!" Eddie yells, "Are you okay?"

Steve's fine, but that was a rough ride. Eddie's somehow still in his ass, but he's gone half-hard from the unexpected scare.

It really shouldn't have been so unexpected. Steve definitely predicted this exact thing to happen.

"I'm pulling out," Eddie says, and Steve laughs.

"Sounds like a solid plan," Steve answers, bracing for it.

Eddie laughs with him as he eases out of his body.

"You sure you're okay?" Eddie asks, rubbing his hand against Steve’s back.

"I'm fine," Steve assures. "The bed? Uh, I think we killed it."

Eddie laughs, then accuses, "Why would you pick this bed?! You nearly killed us!"

Steve just laughs. Eddie picked the bed, but he'll take the blame. He doesn't mind.

"Are you really okay?" Eddie asks, laying his cheek on Steve's back.

"I'm fine. You didn't break your dick, did you?"

"No. Just scared it," Eddie teases, pressing his lips to Steve's shoulder. Again. And again.

Steve knows Eddie's kissing his moles. It's not an unusual occurrence.

Once they've caught their breath, and stopped laughing, they get dressed and clean up the broken pieces, throwing them in a pile, then shoving their mattress on the floor.

"This'll do," Eddie says.

And Steve nods. It will, for now. He knows Eddie's bed at home didn't have a bed frame, so it's definitely not a necessity to him.

While Steve doesn't want to crawl up off the ground forever, they can do it for a while until they find something. They're still young.

Steve looks in the phonebook the next day for thrift stores in the area. He's gonna find something heavy. It can be ugly as sin, as long as it's made of actual solid wood. He writes down five places that advertise furniture, not just clothes, and they get in the truck and go.

The first place has nothing, but the second has something that's perfect. It's a little scratched up, but it looks like it'd stay exactly where they put it. And it's a bargain, with two nightstands included in the price.

Steve watches as the employee takes the tag to the front, and organizes for the pieces to be taken to the truck.

He pays, and outside, in the daylight, it's uglier than he thought. The lamp that Eddie has in his hand is absolutely hideous. It has fringe. Together, it feels like it weighs a combined thousand pounds, but Eddie helps him load them into the back of the pickup.

The new frame is not easy to put back together with no instructions, but he finally gets it done. And Eddie flips the switch on the lamp that's now on his nightstand.

"Let there be light," Eddie says, and Steve flops on the bed.

It doesn't give an inch.

But maybe later, if he's lucky, Eddie will give him seven.

Notes: IKEA was in the US by the late 80s, just not near Hawkins. So, if this stuff came from IKEA, they moved far, far away for this one to happen, lol.

He flinched the first time you hugged him, and frantically reassured you that no, it's not your fault

But a lot of time and patience can make him get used to your affection, maybe he'll even start to yearn more of it

Subtle touches from his tail is like an invitation to completely drown and smother him with affection

Loves it when you just start touching his hair and scratch behind his ears as you talk about your day, gosh, he's falling so hard rn

But if you don't talk and just stare into his eyes while you pet him, you're killing him

He can't breathe, you're just so mesmerizing and so attractive, stop making his heart beat faster! >:(

Once you showed your dragon form, he's shocked to say the least, but quickly recovers after noticing that it's you

This is a post about why I'm currently considering myself to be nonbinary, but it's not a post about gender.

It’s about 90% of the elementary school girls wanting to sit on the grass and talk about boys, and me still not understanding why even now, in my mid 30s.

It’s about ‘girls books’ that were all about friendship drama and worrying about menstruating, and how these were framed as universal concerns. My only friends were a pair of male cousins and we mostly cared about how our Lego ninjas’ castle infiltration was going. (The options were limited in my small library in the mid-90s.)

It’s about the ‘wild’, ‘disobedient’, and 'hyper' kids in the books I grew up with being so much better behaved than me, even on my best day, that I’d puzzle over it for weeks. Maybe if my parents were stricter I would be able to follow instructions easier? Maybe I was one of the mean kids in those books? Why was nobody in books like me?

It’s about the revulsion I feel when I think about ‘romantic’ gestures. Remembering my mom getting flowers from someone at church, and my aunt getting upset when I laughed about how she wouldn’t like them. MY MOM IS ALLERGIC TO FLOWERS, but a person who had nothing to do with the situation got offended that I didn’t consider them a thoughtful and nice gift. It makes me feel nauseous thinking about how I’m ‘supposed’ to think things that I don’t want and can’t use are loving gifts, just because society decided they were.

It's about people wanting me to already know their social conventions, and feeling like they are doing SO MUCH WORK when they make allowances for my mistakes, but thinking that learning anything about how I like to communicate is asking far too much of them.

It's about trying to make friends as a teen, and all the guys getting upset or weird when it became clear that wasn't code for dating.

It's about makeup giving me rashes, and my hair being done up giving me headaches.

It’s about women in lingerie in ads, and how I wore a headscarf for a year in reaction to how that made me feel.

It's about learning biblical gender roles, and getting really excited about the idea of protection and love in return for submission. And then finding out I like the BDSM understanding of protection and submission a lot more than I like the church's. That the person I love doesn't have the skill to protect me in ways that make submission safe.

It’s about having noise and light sensitivities, but being expected to enjoy crowded weddings.

It’s about people acting disgusted when I get too loud. Or excited. Or happy. Or interested.

It's about 'body language experts' that ""explain"" what various gestures mean, and it's about that month when my husband believed them and told me I was wrong about what I felt.

It's about definitions of 'womanhood' and 'humanity' that contain things that exclude me. And learning how to be okay with being the exception this time. And eventually getting so used to being the exception that I can no longer connect to the concept at all.

It's about only reading fantasy, now, because an elf's experience isn't supposed to be relatable.

It’s about learning that ‘I actually wanted’ things I didn’t want, and I was ‘unreasonable’ when I said no, and I was being ‘too sensitive’ when things physically or emotionally hurt.

It’s about being ADHD and aroace and weird in far too many ways; in a culture that seems to consider that to be willful rebellion and disrespect.

I don’t know how to be a woman. I don’t know how to feel good about being a woman. I don't feel I can fulfill the roles and dynamics associated with femininity. I can't present myself in the expected ways, and I don't really want to. In isolation, 'woman' feels like an accurate description. But than I think of OTHER people considering me a woman, and having the right to define what that means, and I just can't.

I need a break from considering myself female, so I can figure out how to do it in a way that doesn’t break me.

I want to learn how to interact with other people in a way that are less exhausting and painful. Engage on my own terms, and disengage if those terms aren’t fulfilled. Protect my own boundaries with strangers and acquaintances - people I don’t expect to make allowances for me. Not by demanding things of them, but by only offering myself on certain terms.

I don't want to ask anything about anyone else. I'm tired of it being about them. I want to ask things of myself. Ask for respect, and care. Figure out what that would actually look like. I want to process and let go of my self-hatred and feelings of being 'designed wrong'.

I've heard the terms 'acegender' and 'neurogender'. They don't excite me, but I recognize that's part of what's going on. Having ADHD gets in the way of performing womanhood to the point that it becomes hard to separate them. And some much of femaleness is defined in relation to being a part of a heterosexual romantic couple. I've got the man, but that hasn't helped me decode the mysteries of romantic and sexual attraction. The baffling concept of men having some sort of allure that women lack, of being a different category.

But, like my marriage isn't about my lack of attraction (it's about the choice I made to love him, and the decade plus of commitment we've had to each other), being nonbinary isn't about my lack of understanding of and ability to perform womanhood. It's about choosing to love myself, and recognizing that I've internalized enough harmful beliefs that I can't healthily identify as female right now.

It's not about gender.

I think Santi just loves music! He flies a lot so he spends time listening to full albums.

He doesn't have a lot of free time

Despite everyones teasing, he's not here to fuck pretty women. He's here to work.

Still, despite onl a few personal items he does have his guitar. Plays it a lot.

It does help with women

When he was a kid he thought he'd become a singer, he loves Vicente Ferdanez and Juan Gabriel

Alas, for a poor immigrant family Santi couldn't abandon them to persu wishy-washy dreams, he needed to work. Hence the military.

Still, it makes him happy when he sit and play guitar, watching people smile.

William Miller

Will hates modern country.

Growing up in the yee haw south I think he hates what it's become

Was not upset when Tobey Keith died at all, think he ruined the genre in the post-9/11 nationalism

He enjoys thegrassroots rock movement (springsteen, melloncamp, petty) and the blues.

Him and Santiago both love Fleetwood Mac. It combines Santi's love of rock and Will's love of the blues.

Enjoys jazz but also classical music. He has more interest in the instruments than the lyrics of music anyway.

He loves things that calm his mind.

Will likes sports, it was how him and Ben spent a lot of time on the farm.

To this day he likes going out to play ball with Ben. It helps Benny with his ADHD.

What he does find is that is helps Will's obbsessive obsessive worrying about him.

I HAVE A BONE TO PICK WITH THE KUNG FU PANDA SERIES, I'M GRABBING IT BY THE THROAT AND DRAGGING IT TO THE DEPTHS

JUST COME'RE, COME'RE FOR A MINUTE AND EXPLAIN TO ME

WHAT. THE FUCK. IS THIS?

This has GOTTA be another Macaque disguise in order to mess with Wukong's image cause I refuse to believe that THIS is Wukong.

Now don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with adaptions made of our beloved monkey gremlin, a lot of them are super cool and well made! But there is a difference between an adaption and then just full on disgracing the source material BECAUSE HOW CAN ONE FUCK UP THIS BADLY ON SUCH A WELL KNOWN AND BELOVED CHARACTER? OKAY SIT DOWN FOR CLASS TIME AND LET ME STATE MY CASE.

First of all the looks, why is only one eye red and gold? I'm sorry but if I remember correctly Wukong wasn't half way in the furnace. My second gripe is with the monkey species they chose for him. Listen, Wukong is supposed to be the representation and embodiment of a monkey, he isn't supposed to be a specific species of monkey in the first place as he is not only his own species of monkey but he is supposed to represent all the monkey species. So making him into a specific species of monkey doesn't work all that well in the first place, but out of all the species they could've picked why the species that looks like a reverse oompa loompa?

AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HIS POWERS

Okay okay, get this, not only did they heavily nerf him, but they also made it so all his power comes from THE GOLDEN CIRCLET. YEAH THAT'S RIGHT THEY MADE THE TRAUMA RING AROUND HIS HEAD INTO A CROWN THAT GIVES HIM POWERS AND THAT HE WANTS TO GET THE CROWN BACK.

The crown is most known for being the equivalent of a shock collar for him, how do you mess that one up THAT BAD?

And we haven't even touched on his backstory yet oh no no no no. Sit down as you are gonna LOVE this one folks

Apparently Wukong was great friends with the gods in heaven until he was framed for something he didn't do and was imprisoned, not in the mountains by the Buddha, but was imprisoned in the red jade mines for it. Not only that but he basically poisoned Po and his trainees as he could only get out if he replaced himself in the mines with another and keep them there until like sunset. First of all Wukong would never do that in the first place sure he was impulsive and reckless but he wasn't bad for the sake of being bad, he was just a bit of a trouble maker that needed proper guidance. NOT ONLY THAT BUT PO'S TRAINEES WHO ARE LITERALLY KIDS BEAT HIM. LIKE- HELLO? LITERAL KIDS BEAT SUN WUKONG? THE MOST OP CHARACTER IN KNOWN HISTORY?

Apparently the ldb was the one behind things and Wukong needed to stop her which we saw that be done much better in Lego Monkie Kid (amazing show I HIGHLY recommend watching that instead of this). And Wukong redeemed himself and became besties with the gods again.

OH OH AND TO ADD MORE SALT TO THE WOUND? MONKEY'S BROTHER IN KFP IS NAMED "WU KONG", THE SAME BROTHER WHO CAUSED THEIR OWN MOM TO DIE DUE TO HIS OWN SELFISHNESS.

LIKE BRO WTF DO THEY HAVE AGAINST WUKONG? WHY ALL THE BEEF AGAINST SUCH A BELOVED AND AMAZING CHARACTER AND MAKING HIM OUT TO BE A HORRIBLE AND PATHETIC GUY WHEN HE ISN'T?

Kung Fu Panda is beloved by China for it's good representation and understanding of it's culture, so how the franchise could let one of the most well known characters in Chinese mythology and stories get slanderized THIS BADLY by one of their spin off series is beyond me.

I know this has just been me ranting about how a recurring character in a series was characterized in a spin off series kid show people hardly know about but like- for some reason I was just absolutely flabbergasted by this characterization of Wukong as a whole in a franchise that's known for doing plenty of good research on chinese culture, mythology, belief and stories. My only hope is that this was Macaque disguised as a fake Wukong the whole time just pulling a funny prank.

I didn't hate The Fall Guy, I absolutely loved it!

There's nothing that makes me want to make movies more than watching movies about making movies.

Inside me there are two wolves. One loves watching serious, "important" ✨️cinema✨️, and the other one loves watching fun, over the top action movies. Because both of them are cinema, matter what anyone says. Movies are a way to escape. To have some fun when you aren't feeling too great. To have a laugh when you've been crying too much. To have a cry when you've been holding it in too long. To get angry in a way that inspires you to make a change. To get scared enough to feel something when you think you've gone numb.

If Nicole Kidman needs a new AMC commercial, tell her to call me.

Anyway, if you love movies, if you love action, if you love stunts, The Fall Guy is for you. If you love Dune (in a fun way, not a crazy zealot way) you'll love The Fall Guy.

I loved almost everything, if not everything about this movie. I thought the story was a lot of fun, the soundtrack was great, the cinematography was cool, the pacing was consistent, and of course the action, vfx and stunts were awesome!

The performances struck a balance of earnestness and tongue-in-cheek that reminds me of the self-awareness of Barbie or The LEGO Movie. Ryan Gosling is definitely still feeling the Kenergy, and it's nice to see Ken doing well on his own without Barbie. Actually, scratch that, he found a different Barbie in Emily Blunt, who made me wish I was on a film set right now so I could fall in love with a camera operator. I haven't directed a movie (yet), but I could feel her nerves as a first-time director, but her growing confidence also came across beautifully. Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Tom Cruise–sorry, Tom Ryder–made me remember that I love to watch good actors act like bad actors. I feel like Hannah Waddingham can't give a bad performance, 10/10, no notes. I wish Winston Duke had more screentime, but what he had, he absolutely owned. The only other thing I've seen him in was Us, which was fantastic, but I definitely want to see more.

But of course, my standout performance has to be my girl Stephanie Hsu!! It's criminal how little I saw her in the marketing of The Fall Guy, it's almost like she's just a Jobu Tupaki cameo, but she absolutely crushed her scenes. I mean, they gave her a great action scene, thank you EEAAO for showing the world what Stephanie can do.

Slight spoilers in this next paragraph. The Fall Guy isn't overly emotional, but there was one part that got me moist in the eyes. It wasn't the love story, okay it was part of that, or the message about always getting back up, or that nihilism is a viable worldview (I learned that from EEAAO, nothing matters 😁), it was the line that Ryan Gosling says to Emily Blunt's character Jody, about how she has to finish her movie because she might end up inspiring the next generation of Jodys. As soon as he said that, just a wave of emotion. Because that's how movies keep going, because filmmakers inspire filmmakers who inspire filmmakers. It's so simple, yet it is so profound and beautiful. And the fact that a movie has the power to inspire a young woman to make a crazy fun Mad Max/Dune love story with Jason Momoa is so stupidly powerful. But this movie also has the power to inspire the next generation of stunt performers, directors, writers, producers, and all that is just amazing.

If you've read this far, it looks like you're just as crazy as me, the guy who will sit in the front row of as many IMAX viewings of as many movies as he can, because he just loves movies. And like I said, nothing makes me want to make movies more than watching movies about making movies.

Dreamzzz season2 spoilers pt. 4

(And my personal comments)

Episode 8

Now. I wanted to end it all here. But I thought I'd separate the final episode from the others and so that we would have 5 parts :) (I just like the numbers like that. Okay?)

The name of the episode has so much meaning- oh god...

The deer- 😭 how did it even end up there?? And Zoey saving it- the tightrope (how did it even end up in the cyber realm??)

"Stop! Stop! Shoo!"

You're supposed to be saving it- but I guess you have to be alive to do so (also, the sounds it makes when it nibbles on the rope- lol)

"It's easy to get scared when you're all alone" (awh-)

"There you are! You know, I could've used your help with this"

"He knows you actually have to read those, right?"

[Nodding]

"Logan, nobody wants to beat Royce's protégé more than I do,but I'll be honest, in this next round, you're going to be facing the most diabolical, most menacing, most insidious things you've ever seen"

"An alarm clock" with- a very serious voice

oh... wow. Okay

"Oh~! Squeal! It's so cute!" (Did she really say "sqeal"? Mood) "Look at those big, dreamy eyes!"

The clock is cute? No, you're cute! (...am I flirting with a lego? Y'know what forget it)

And Mateo and Cooper in the background- just staring at her blankly lol (the background is really interesting to look at in this season) and when they get told to stop Logan while he tried to catch the clock, Izzie's pose- it's so cute😍 and again, Mateo and Cooper just like- blank

The alarm clock went to 19 to 12 seconds a bit too fast...? I think

"Wah, wait. Why are you guys backing up? Is it my breath? Oh, nuts!"

The alarm wasn't a loud one. I guess it's just dream magic?

"If you and Mr. Oz are sort of the same, why do you stay here in the Dream World when he wakes up?" I was thinking the same thing! So many questions about Albert! Unsolved!!

We. Need. Answers!

"Isn't there a part of you that's always dreaming?" (But this doesn't satisfy all the questions I have)

So.... they're just training with all these random people being there with them?

Well unicorns! And Mateo's actually doing something! And Cooper- ...I thought you moved on from the vehicles (his face literally reads "yeah. I thought I did too. Why did I do that?")

Astrid has great neck movement(?). You think she can do the arm thing? Like the noodle arms or.. whatever you call it

"One may be able to conquer without being able to do it"

He read the books!! Hallelujah!

Zoey was here the whole time? I was honestly kinda surprised when I was the episode for the first time. What do you mean she was just standing there this whole time?

"This better not be BFF talk" what's bff talk? That thing exists?

Also, what does Izzie mean by "I won't ask about you dad again" again?? You mean- she just constantly kept asking about him? Trying to help Zoey? Ooh so nice

"We get to throw things at Logan"

"Oh man, there goes Cooper! This things gnarly"

The throwing-... and Cooper again. Why is he always the punching bag in the back? Poor guy... (also, if you wake up in a dream as an aware dreamer unexpectedly, or was forced, what's wrong with that? Can't you just... fall asleep again? Or... does some weird magic in the dream world stop you from doing that?)

Izzie, I thought you said you won't ask about her dad-

And do these kids really not know that they divorced or something? Or.. maybe something else happened? Idk

And-- Cooper's back? What- how does this work? Did he never wake up? Was it just a close call? If you can just fall back asleep, what about Mr. Oz??!

And Logan was literally under a couch. A darn couch

Logan being determined- and Astrid turning the alarm back on- she likes them. Shes not exactly a bully. More like a.... "it's TRUE I'm better than you. You have to be better than this" .....okay. that still sounds bad-

Zoey's aunt is- so kind

"Bro-ther.... you know those are poisonous for cats. Right?" And it's already going horribly

Beau being like- oh... um.... castle what? Uh-... mr Oz? Uh... um....

Eating hotdogs- I swear to god Cooper, food doesn't have to become your whole new personality!

I like how Mateo fell and hit the clock, rolling down the stairs... just like how you wake up. Not me. I don't have an alarm

Izzie and Zian is friends for a reason

Yay! Go Takashi~ also, the way they said his name?

Also, the dreamling costume is like- adorable! But how did he pull that off? You mean no one thought it would be weird that a dreamling is that big?

But Beau trying to be there and support Zoey is nice. Like he does care

But Mr. Oz, really? You don't have to eat off of the floor! (And I just realized. In the 18 years ago episode, Albert said something like "keeping the kids dreaming" or.. whatnot. So... Beau and Hannaha are pretty young back then. At least younger than mr. Oz. So.... does that mean beau talking to mr. Oz this whole time was... on purpose? "I'm going to be rude to him now! Hehe" and... how did mr Oz know that the night hunter was one of his past teammates? And how did he not connect the dots of Beau being the night hunter? And-)

I love how Zoey gets her confidence after seeing her dad. Because she still thinks that he couldn't come. Which in her case would make her feel even better that he did come. That he's really trying to make a difference. Because Zoey still thinks that her dad has to do other stuff that night. But despite that he came to see her! That's what Zoey has on her mind. That's how Zoey is seeing this. Which makes it even more of a... important thing to her

Which is... pretty cute

Sudan and Snivel getting the front row seats to watch the show- with popcorn (really, how is this the candy realm? Just call it 'random food people like realm' ...no. that's a horrible name. Don't use that)

They could get sawed?? By the lollipop trees? Limbs go *poof*??

Oh- nope. Never mind. Sorry guys. The witch is pedo. (Mateo is going on a date👍"you got a date with the never witch")

Why does everyone keep saying stuff like "you said teamwork. But this doesn't look like teamwork to me" as if we're going to have a similar situation from the last season, in this seasons finale too(and the way everyone automatically thinks Mateo left to see Z-blob. Just imagine how many times he did that for them to think this way)

"Mateo left again? Ugh, for the love of-!"

"Maybe- seeing Z-blob will help him feel ready for the next trial"

And Logan's more like... 'she called him dreamy?' It seems like he's in love. But I'm no expert. It seems like a potential love line the creators are trying to make.... (and if it is... how does it work? Astrid is from Berlin. Right?)

Yup. And we got Cooper. Either being the logical one as always, or just... continuing to be a supportive friend

Yeah- okay. Gotta agree tho. These clones are fun. Look at that personality! Whoo!

And then Zoey throws the clock. At this moment I knew. This was going to come back as a bad thing. She's going to need that clock. That's what the season kept hinting at us too-

It's not just me- he did get more hyped up (and did he just pick him up on his shoulders? He can do that?? Does logic work differently here or can he actually do that? I mean- he did it with such confidence and comfort like he's done that hundreds of times)

"Logan, my brother is acting super weird!"

"Yeah, he's just found his groove"

"No Logan! You don't get it. He sabotaged me to make the task force!"

😨omg no way-(but seriously. No way)

"Finally! I'm aching for some malice!"

Also, just noticed. While watching this now

His hair streak (Madeo) is yellow and red. And here, the red is definitely red. Like.. a more brighter and more standing out red

Off Her Bricks

It started out so innocent.

Myka had taken Helena to the big box store in Sioux City, to get the necessities of finding yourself a reinstated agent living in a bed and breakfast in Nowhere, South Dakota. And they'd wandered past the toy section, and Helena had seen the pictures of assembled models, and her wonder and excitement had been so palpable that, while she'd been browsing sleepwear, Myka had sneaked a couple of boxes into the cart and hidden them under the stack of towels and sheets Helena had already picked.

She'd managed to keep them hidden from Helena until that evening, back at Leena's, and she would never forget how sheer delight had bloomed in Helena's face when Myka had handed the boxes to her.

Helena had built her very first LEGO model that very night.

"You guys better hurry back," Claudia said through the Farnsworth, voice tinny and face distorted in the small round lens. "I think H.G. has lost her marbles. Or bricks, as the case might be."

"What's Lady Cuckoo done now?" Pete asked, but Myka's heart had already sunk.

The retrieval had been almost too much for two agents, even a team as good as she and Pete were. It had taken weeks, and there had been a few close calls - too close for comfort. They'd snagged the artifact in the end, yes, but Myka remembered the phone call she'd had with Helena halfway through, the tension, the fervent good luck wishes, the almost-pleading "come back soon" - and she also remembered the calls that Helena had not picked up, when Claudia had eventually texted Myka back that Helena had shut herself in her room and wasn't coming out.

She remembered telling Claudia to try to find a way to distract Helena from being distraught; this was the life of a Warehouse agent, and no matter how much of "an understanding" had developed between Helena and Myka, no matter how much Myka commiserated, Helena had to find a way to handle it when Myka was in danger.

Maybe she should have been more... sensitive, about that.

Pete did put the pedal to the metal all the way from the airport to Leena's. Myka knew he was worried too, even if his worry had a different reasoning than hers. When he pulled in in front of the house, Myka put her hand on his arm. "Let me handle it."

He eyed her for a long, terse moment, then nodded. "This has got to stop, though," he said. "She can't- You shouldn't... This isn't good, Mykes."

"I know," she sighed. "She just... She needs time, Pete. She's been through a lot."

Again, a stare. Again, a nod. "All right. Let's go get your girl, then."

The scene in the hallway was... wild.

"Holy brickwork." Pete whistled softly. "She bought out the whole store?"

"No," came Claudia's voice, quiet and quavering, from the kitchen hallway. The young agent sidled over to them, and then all three of them were standing in the entryway, watching Helena kneel at the foot of the stairs, fixated on- "She bought someone's entire collection," Claudia whispered. "A week ago. Myka, I'm sorry, I didn't think this would happen!"

"It's okay," Myka whispered back. "I did say to distract her."

"Well, that worked," Pete said, grinning and shaking his head as he took in the construction that spanned almost the entire width and height of the stairs.

"I'll go talk to her," Myka said, and strode forward.

Hello there and welcome to my first time rambling about my thoughts on Monkie Kid's Season 4 Special. Now if you haven't seen the special then please scoll away. Or don't, I can't stop you.

After hearing the news of MK S4S dubbed, I hopped in and watched it. It was tempting to resist because the Special had already released in Chinese but it was worth the watch. So it's time to show my random thoughts of the special down below.

Again, SPOILERS FOR THE SPECIAL!

{Are you still here? Oh good, I can start rambling~}

{Oh snap, the sky is falling apart. Not good, Azure…}

{Poor Nezha, being the one who's injured the most. I hope we get a relaxing episode of him in the future again. But dang, how Tang and Sandy fixes the scoll is the most dumbest but relatable thing they did together.}

{"Can't believe I'm sticking out for Wukong, again." I can, Macaque.}

{LEGO!}

{IT'S THE MONKEY KING BOYS! HE CHATTERS!}

{Awe! The monkey babies loves Macaque~}

{OH MY GOD THAT OUTFIT! I can't decide if I should cringe in agony or laugh in joy when seeing Wukong trying to communicate with humans!}

{THEY FOUND THE THIRD BABY MONKEY IMMEDIATELY.}

{OH! More backstory!}

{Oh…more backstory…Well, honestly I didn't expect to see Macaque to be able to interact with Wukong.}

{Geez, that whole argument is an intense mess. It's like a lot of their feelings that were build up from before had brought out the worst of what's intended. Wukong seems like he expected a chance of escape and Macaque wanted to console the guy. But of course, of the situation at hand, neither of them get what they wanted from each other.}

{Also, THE FOURTH MONKEY! THEY'RE ALL OKAY!}

{OH! THE OTHER PILGRIMS! It's great to see them again! Although, only for a small moment…}

{We all want to know about them too, MK. But not everything has to be explained. Sometimes the past is sensitive to talk about. Like everything else around him, they're not MK.}

{Man, you look exhausted there, Wukong. Like mentally exhausted.}

{THAT WHOLE MOMENT IS BEAUTIFUL. MK saying words to motivate Wukong and Macaque being there to affirm them. Two people that are important to him just as much to them.}

{THE BROTHERHOOD!}

{Awe, Azure. To see him suffering because of what he has seen has taken him in the deep end. I will agree that the Celestials are powerful but careless beings that only act when they think are needed, but now that we see the Jade Emperor and how much of an impact he has maintaining the world is very prominent. I don't know how complicated he was able to deal with that but seeing how Azure isn't doing it well, it shows.}

{Pfft, monkey class. Of course, they have to be in Wukong's house, but I want to see how they led up to that scene.}

{HA I LOVE WUKONG AND NEZHA'S BANTERS! ALSO, FRICKEN CRAYONS!}

{MACAQUE JUMPSCARE! Anyways, the planning they have for each of the Camel Ridge crew sounds plausible. A bit more explanation on how to deal with them would be nice to know.}

{NEZHA I LOVE YOU BUT PLEASE STOP GETTING HURT!}

{Cool, a training sequence~}

{MK'S TURN TO DRAW! Huh, I should've just kept watching on their planning.}

{LOVE MK'S LITTLE DOODLES! Also, they're getting into details, but I'm guessing there's still more to work out on.}

{Okay, it's sweet that Yellowtusk is worried about Azure's stability and interesting to hear how confident Peng believes in Azure's powers, but for them to fight in a place that reminds me the time they once dine happily together makes me concerned for them all. Of course, Azure comes in.}

{MONKEYS IN ARMOR! SO CUTE!}

{PIGSY AND HIS LITTLE MONKEY BUDDY! AWWWEE!}

{Ooh. A glimpse of Wukong trying to console MK about his origin's powers. It going good until the plot progress itself...}

{WOW THAT'S A COOL SHOT OF THE TRIO!}

{MACAQUE VS PENG! MEI'S THERE TOO!}

{PIGSY, TANG, AND SANDY AGAINST YELLOWTUSK! But it's more therapeutic than a fight.}

{AND NOW WUKONG WITH MK FIGHTING AZURE!}

{Cute, MK hugging Wukong to never let him go again. ONLY TO BE PUT THEM INTO MORE TROUBLE.}

{Inky! And with the images of PIF, DBK, LBD, and Nezha(?) too~}

{"Well, one monkey and one unconfirm, but yeah I'd be embarrass for sure." Oh boy, the writers knows what they're teasing with on that line.}

{Oh dang, that's cool! Wukong holding his staff like a bazooka to expand it and Azure holding it off like a champ. THEN MK WOOSHED UP TO TAKE A STEP FURTHER ON THE STAFF!}

{MONKEY BUDDIES DOING THEIR BEHALF! THEY'RE SO CUTE!}

{AND THERE'S MONKEY MECH!}

{PORTY MK! With Wukong's cardboard!?}

{"I hate monkeys." Azure is such a joker.}

{OH! A flashback to Mei's plans!}

{HAHA! I love how witty Mei explains the stuff. It shows how she's improving from the last time they struggle against with LBD's battle.}

{NO THE MONKEY BABIES! NO MK!}

{Awe, Azure. He's so conflicted when he feels up against Wukong and MK. Especially on Wukong because of how high he used to respect Wukong's words back then until it crumbles after being sealed for over hundreds of years with no one to help him.}

{……Monkey MK.}

{The size and power comparison between Azure and MK during their fights are fun.}

{Azure? Lion baby? You're breaking.}

{Oof, MK giving him the "reasons you suck" speech. Also, MK'S MONKEY MONSTER!? THIS SHOW IS WILD.}

{Ugh, poor Azure. The universe is breaking…}

{A Peng insult. Of course, Peng doesn't want to let that slide, but OH MAN THE SMOKE MONSTER AND MEI'S DRAGON LOOKS SO COOL! I wonder if we would get to see Peng again.}

{Oooh~ Positivity is rubbing off on Yellowtusk. It's sweet to see him returning the weapons to Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy. AND THEY GET TO WEAR THEIR OUTFITS!}

{And the hero team is back. Only to see Azure struggling to keep everything together.}

{"How are you here?" And that's one way how the series foreshadows Seasons 5.}

{Seeing Azure realizing his mistakes really pulls my heartstrings. The guys wants to see everything going well in his own way. He knew his risks but it seems like he didn't think it through. A person blinded by his past has brought him more pain than he ever thought. Just…let me hug the cat please.}

{Azure disintegrating…rest in peace.}

{Oh sweet, Nezha is here. Where was he? Neverminded that, at least he's able to maintain the Emperor's powers. For now…}

{Man, those chains around the world are sooo ominous. It's sweet to see that everyone are doing their best to bring it all together.}

{DADSY! TANGY! SANDY BABY! MEI BUDDY! I love how they check on MK first after fighting the most difficult part of their plan!}

{Nezha being a trooper to deal the other half of the situation. Releasing the beings in the scroll, jailing Yellowtusk, containing the Emperor power, and more…I feel bad for the guy…}

{"So long as we leave the world in better shape than we found it, then it's all good, right?" I wish it is, MK.}

{THE BEACH!}

{It's so cute that they include DBK and his family. Like, they missed the majority of this season but THEY'RE HERE!}

{MK putting on sunscreen is fun, even his chat with Wukong is rather light-hearted.}

{Ah, the part that everyone determines is for fanservice: Shadowpeach in DBZ's outfits.}

{An interesting way to end when this will just remind all the Monkie Kid Fans that the perpetrator is out there.}

{And there he is.}

OVERALL!

{The Special did a great job hyping the ending of the season. I was happy to see Wukong's and Macaque's backstory more, understanding the Brotherhood's concerns for each other, and the heroes trying to clean up the mess as much as they can. This balance well with the intense moments and their fighting scenes. But as much as I love most parts of the episode's, there's some that are off to me. I found some of odd choice of voice recording in the show, like Past Macaque's rejecting Past Wukong's help on his scarf and the intensity of MK's voice when he went Monkey Mode. Of course, there's also some parts that ends in plot holes, like where the heck is Peng going!? Is Monkey MK a good thing or a bad thing!? And who freed Azure Lion!? There's those and my bias on seeing much of the Special on a first impression but I still hope to watch more of that being explained. I might watch it again just to see anything else I might've not caught on. In the end, the Season 4's Special feels deserved and I hope we get a time to watch Season 5.

Foodfight! (ugh)

I voted for Dex Dogtective in a poll the other day and it reminded me that I never actually watched that shitty Foodfight! movie from 2012. So I did. This was not a good idea.

There isn't a whole lot to say about Foodfight! that hasn't already been said. The project was in development hell for so long that it defaulted on its debt, and investors took over to at least get something out the door. The most obvious issue is the bad animation, though that speaks for itself.

But here's the thing: This movie could've had Pixar-quality animation and it'd still be hot garbage. "What if mascots for popular products lived in your local store?" is a middling idea at best, and the story mishandles it every step of the way.

It would be easy to say this movie needed a lot of popular corporate mascots to really work, and the best they could do was Charlie the Tuna and the Vlasic stork. But I remember thinking the first Toy Story wouldn't work without heavy hitters like Barbie and Lego, and yet they got along fine with just Mr. Potato Head and Etch-a-Sketch. Similarly, Wreck-It Ralph succeeded with a cast of skillful pastiches of familiar video game characters, and mere cameos by the big names. In theory Foodfight! could make up a cereal mascot that reminds you of Tony the Tiger while leaving room for changes to fit the plot. But in execution we get...Dex Dogtective.

Dex is the mascot for Cinnamon Sleuth cereal, and also a detective, and also a dog, and also he dresses like Indiana Jones, and also he likes raisins, and also he runs a nightclub like Rick Blaine in Casablanca. So he has like six different gimmicks, and the cereal mascot part is easily the least important. The only reason you'd even suspect Dex is a character from a box of cereal is because he's in a movie about brand mascots. Indeed, none of the characters created for this movie look like they were designed to sell anything, least of all groceries.

The strongest concept in the movie (which isn't saying much) is that the brands are facing an invasion by the evil Brand X. This makes sense, seeing as Brand X is by definition generic, with no iconic mascot except the pejorative and mysterious implications of that term. Listen, I know this sounds dumb, but you could do something with this. In a world of where brands come to life in the form of their mascots, who or what emerges from a brand without a mascot? How would such a being differ from the likes of, say, Count Chocula? Such a character might reject some fundamental principle that the good guys hold dear.

At this juncture, a sharper "secret lives of things that aren't alive" movie could make some insightful point that ties the story together. Something about how the world needs brand mascots, I suppose. But nobody actually needs brand mascots, for pete's sake, except for the people who came up with this movie. So there's no core idea for Brand X to oppose--the good guys' world exists just to exist, so the bad guys exist just to destroy it. With that baseline laziness established, Brand X paradoxically has lots of mascots, all of whom look like Nazis for some reason.

Well, okay, technically Brand X's leader, Lady X, looks less like a Nazi and more like the Baroness from Cobra. But it figures that she doesn't quite fit in with the rest, since she created Brand X! Yeah, so at the end it's revealed she was a mascot for a poorly-marketed brand of prunes, and when she was discontinued she went to Brazil (???) for plastic surgery (???) to make her all hot. Then she somehow amassed the resources in the real world to create Brand X, complete with a human-sized android (!!!) so she could pass herself off as a real person and sell her wares to stores.

Dex is astonished by this backstory, since the mascots are like three inches tall and can't even leave the store. Lady X explains the plot hole by saying "Humans! When you look like this you can get them to do anything. Size only counts for men."

hi my opinion on the game awards event were...

-every space game looks the same and i can't tell which one is which anymore.

-40% of all sci-fi game are contractually obligated to put "EXO" in their title in some way, shape, or form.

-i'd be more surprised by fortnite having a lego game if i didn't know lego has made games (and actual lego) of every licenses under the sun.

Watched the tenth episode of LEGO DreamZzz: LOVED IT!

So I actually watched this episode a whole while ago but forgot to post this... BUT NOW THE SECOND PART OF SEASON 1 IS ALL OUT SO I NEED TO PUT MY THOUGHTS DOWN 😍😍

Also the LEGO Youtube channel continues to bless me with shorts of the series, I'm already a huge fan of Draw with Mateo, and now we got Logan's Training Tutorials (he got such a massive ego istg 😂) AND EVEN AN ANIMATED SHORT CALLED "DREAMOLITION DUO VS THE MUTATED MATH MONSTERS" 🤩🤩🤩 (that one was EXCELLENT, I really hope we get more of those with that style)

Since all the new episodes dropped at the same time I might just make a single or two posts about all of them, we'll see! It's literally just for me to scream about how I love this show 🥰

Anyway, without further ado, let's get into this!

This coach is pretty narrow minded, but I never had a PE teacher that wasn't 100% convinced gym was everything, so 😂

Dreamcrafting as a concept feels like elemental powers from Ninjago: it's likely the most powerful thing there is, but in most situations it gets nullified or nerfed so it's hard to use it all the time with no limits 😅😅 It does make sense for this place to be no imagination zone, though

I'm sure Logan feels very guilty for the mess he got into, but I do hope he doesn't get forgiven immediately, so I'm glad Mateo is genuinely upset at him
