Do you guys ever think about how Badrien just doesn’t talk. He’s absolutely silent the entire time when he doesn’t have his miraculous. Like when he was handcuffed on the ground he didn’t ever say anything. When Marinette asked if he knew her he just shrugged. Literally the only things I remember him saying was Plagg, Daggers Out. He only ever spoke to become Claw Noir.

Montresor is the Bad Ending of White Raven II: Electric Bogaloo

(I had posted this as a reblog of the other one, but then I realized it gets completely lost, so I made it a separate post).

So I came back to this thought after the last few chapters where we saw several new interactions between Annabel and Montresor. So why not retrace my steps and add some new information?

I mean, yeah, yeah, Girlboss and all that. We already know that Annabel is a show woman, so turning this back into some sort of show as a demonstration of power is very much in line, but...why?

I think I have a theory, but let's take it one part at a time.

I think what these chapters have told me is that Annabel is much more aware of her similarities to Montresor than I expected.

Without going any further, he comments on it:

Montresor made the wrong move, and here's the result: about to become an orb, under someone else's thumb, helpless and flailing desperately to hold on to what dignity he has left. This is what awaits her if she takes one wrong step.

And as if all of this wasn't uncomfortable enough for Annabel to contemplate, there is one last thing in this situation that, I can't help but think, terrifies her the most.

There are winners and losers in this game. Those who succeed and those who fail.

Montresor has definitely lost this game, at least for now.

And this was Lenore's face when she saw Montresor for what he really is: a pathetic, frightened charlatan with no tools other than the manipulation of his allies. And again, a loser.

I can see why Annabel would do this whole show as a way to exert power. Because she is all of those things...except the last one.

Presenting herself as a winner is, from Annabel's point of view, the only thing that keeps her from being Montresor's equal in Lenore's eyes.

but thats part of it, too? because those flings didnt have that emotional connection, and i always got the sense that he started looking for that with maximus, to Love and Be Loved rather than pure lust. To care about someone, genuinely, and be cared about in return. but he didnt get that with the flings, and We know that max was using him, but i dont know if he did, but maybe he had a feeling about it and maybe he also had a feelinf about maximus’ feelings towards bad and maybe- there’s something about that? A little push of not-spite-not-projection onto bad.

Inspired by @historia-vitae-magistras' beautiful and heart-wrenching stories about Matt and his two fathers.

The first panel shows Francis holding baby Mathieu, who remained under his tutelage until 1763, the end of the Seven Years War. Canada grew under the “English rose” until the 20th century, when it relinquished most of its dependence on the British Empire. 

The second panel shows Arthur kneeling before a young Matt and offering him a rose. In the next panels, Matt pricks his finger on the rose’s thorns. The thorns can be a metaphor for all the wars Canada had fought in for the empire. 

Eventually, the droplets of blood morph into the red maple leaves, Canada’s national symbol, suggesting that Canada has grown into his own.

Omg I just realised--

1) Kim has a French accent, but as he's said, he doesn't speak even a lick of the Seolite language. He's just your average Revachol guy.

2) Multiple of Harry's colleagues at 41 also have a French accent. We can safely assume they're also from Revachol or surrounding areas, else they would probably work in other places.

-> this suggests the French accent is a common thing in the Revachol area and might even simply be the main local accent.

3) Harry intrinsically knows quite a bit of French.

4) Even with his scattered memory he claims he's probably not living far away.

5) We never hear Harry talk.

Result: what if Harry ALSO has a French accent???
