revisiting my roots as an artist - never sketching, never planning, and going straight to the inks. and also drawing traditionally again. with some digital colours
speaking of my roots as an artist, so many people say my art is cute/storybook/wholesome vibes which is funny cause i started off drawing a lot of bloody evil gorey demon things. 14 y/o me would not be happy with me for going down the route i ended up taking - i wanted to be edgy.

I just got done watching the new hazbin hotel pre-release. It's bad. I was prepared to be dissapointed- but this set the bar low.
The humor was awful. It's like ""edgy"" millenial humor. Like- haha he said "fucking" four times in a sentence so funny. haha SEX haha. like DAMN !!! This sucks bad!!!!
Not to mention the musical numbers in it just don't work. They don't sound good. It felt like they were trying to make the next villian-y sounding musical song that all the 14 y/o suburban edgelords have on their "villian arc" playlist. And that'll probably happen.
I got into it whenever the first pilot came out on youtube because I really loved the characters- but since selling out and replacing all of the original cast, I feel like most of that personality and promise it once held is gone for good.
Does anyone else feel like this?

whenever i think about how much i want madoka to be revealed as pathologically suicidal in the upcoming movie i feel like an edgy 14 y/o who just discovered those “rugrats was the fever dream of a dying child” conspiracy videos but i can’t help myself

I know this isn't like. An *official* ask game, but uh.
I kin not one, not two, but *three* OCs????? And while two underwent small changes to personalities shortly before I found out what alterhumanity/fictionkin was, the way they. Well me. Was created. By me. Is like. Cringes.
Like you know that edgy 14 y/o OC trope where the OC is this all-powerful being abused by their parent(s)? That's literally one of their backstories. I am a cross between *DUSTTALE SANS* and an *OC* of *MY MAKING*.
The other two? My Hero Academia OCs. Literally made them *maybe* at 14 for the soul purpose of "Oh, [Character] needs a partner".
After the personality changes, ones just a depressed but sorta-nice emo and the other's a wolfdog cannibal. They werent even meant to be a wolfdog or a cannibal.
Sorry for the message block /gen
party note that is an official ask game? It's in the pinned post!

i don't think i'll ever get people who don't like felix. like yes i am being immature about it but what's not fun about an autistic 14 y/o child genius manufactured to be the poster stereotypical rich kid who completely rejects that ideal and everything else that envoironment stands for and the moment his abuser died he got to experience freedom, existential dread and his edgy i-hate-the-world phase all at once like a car crash of catastrophic measures.
he got his hands on the amulet that created him and allows anyone to play god and he used it for the first time ever to wipe out humanity on a whim so he would get to play with his best friends who hate him forever and ever. he's both the hero and villain of his own story. he has a messiah complex and that's presented as his only redeemable trait

i don’t always get political w it because i do feel like questions of desire and legitimacy pollute the logistics, i’m not about to beg trutrans (that now is taken to mean ‘no longer pretrans/repressed’, btw) people for things when i need to be a better “cis”ally to them, and i’m only sorting out desire and legitimacy. i understand how politically and personally offputting i can be, as a concept, to actual trans ppl. yet of course those desires are deeply political in nature, but i don’t see how politics can be just this stand-in for desire that alludes to desire when transmasculine desire is a thing that doesn’t yet exist politically because it’s denied/dismissed as something else or actively derided as the purview of [some kind of privilege]. i was a tiktok theyfab in 2020-22 and often saw people’s transmasculine desire dissected apart down to each of its components and exposed for how fucked up their desires are, all the things (fatphobic, racist, a white-woman fragility moment, homophobic, transmisogynistic) but the thing is, i don’t even think that *all* of those critiques are unwarranted, but one is left to wonder… since i assume everyone “in my orbit”(that’s what it’s called, i think, lmao) on here is at least tertiarily involved with the project of creating a coherent if-and-only-if, divergent-not-convergent, transmasculine sense of meaning/narrative where one is severely lacking or entirely absent (think: why is there no ftm whipping girl? and take it as a challenge) without being this logical so-as-follows ‘mirror counterpart’ to transfemininity NOR incredibly butch cis women, because those sets of comparisons are bound in many important ways to be false, to not apply. this is where the TQ complaint of ‘erasure’ is a real thing, even if 14 y/o’s feeling invalidated in the moment don’t exactly articulate its further implications very well. my point is/was when i was deep in tiktok theyfabbery, is a perfect feminist politic a mandatory prerequisite to creating such a narrative? (think about the particular moral mandate along the lines of ‘being a man is about respecting women’: yes, yes absolutely you need to, but without it, does one cease to be a man? or are you now this empty, voided, “masc-not-butch” “nonbinary is just a negation, it’s not a thing” person having your white woman moments, having your cake and eating it too) everyone agrees that the edgy teenage phase of many newer trans people is offputting and uncanny, albeit necessary for growth and development, but i do wonder if coming out the other end of transmasculinity therefore becomes this careful disavowal, deliberately manufactured to be apolitical and uncontroversial, and if political, aligned with feminism the way lesbians are. i also find the tMRA shit, (MRAshit wrapped in a toothpaste flag) to be weird and offputting and not ideal politically and evidence of a total unawareness of how one is perceived. thinking about that tweet that said “it is not up to ftms to fix masculinity, go to the gym lol” and if you want, you should, you can, but an implication is that by virtue of who we are and what we want, we are particularly ill-equipped to be able to simultaneously take it seriously wrt ourselves while also being capable of meaningfully contributing to philosophy, discourse, (culture) politics without leaving ourselves behind in some way. if that’s not the other classic TQ complaint of “infantilization”, then i’m not sure what is. it’s put up or shut up, and if you knew me, you’d find that i shut up in real life, as is ideal while i’m in a proto- state and still politically uncanny and incoherent. while i myself am a gaymaxxer(my cope is that i’m in part like this because i’m gay-male-ideated not because i WNBAM),
i found that i became far more robustly left wing and feminist and all that once i stopped trying to think about myself as a cis woman, once i listened to disk horse on “toxic masculinity” and “male loneliness epidemic” shit, i see some breadtuber spaces as having struggled with creating a similar meaning/story for cis men that isn’t just anti-woman. i also heard there that pre-leftist cis men were afraid of, but had to make peace with, the supposed threat that transfemininity posed to the security of their gender identity and expression, and of those who remain men, some get to realize that they’re queer. I heard quite deep and meaningful comparisons made between cis women’s and trans women’s lives and struggles for meaning. the matrix style gender theory, “fuck gender, be a woman”, was all of our redpill, however hard to swallow. but of nobody’s fault but my own, i was at this time beginning to not internally identify as a woman, and realized that there’s no such thing as a transmasculine redpill. still no story, still no sense of meaning, still I should learn to feel/be the butch or be like the other girls and okay with that, a thing i’m just not and never was. transmasculine desire is still shameful and unspeakable as is the opposite in any other part of life and the political landscape—
i can identify this problem, yes, but i’m not smart enough nor in real life enough nor materially affected enough to be an ideal candidate to begin to create the solution, but i think the boy hypno content is a step in the right direction, for sure, though there may yet be unforeseen social/political consequences.

a short summary about my au
Moriarty the patriot x boboiboy crossover
• boboiboy thunderstorm will be the oldest brother (16 y/o), then cyclone (15 y/o), then quake (14 y/o), followed by blaze and ice (12 y/o), and lastly thorn and solar (10 y/o)
• so albert will not be the oldest
• at first, moriarty brothers are wary of them, as they think the elemental brothers are like the other nobles. But they're not obv (boboiboy is just too kind for his own good)
• on the day the moriarty brothers are adopted, the elemental brothers are not home, so they don't meet them yet. But amato assures moriarty brothers that his sons are kind and will surely accept them.
• after that, amato goes on a business trip for a week
• the next morning will be their first meeting with the elemental brothers
• when they are on their way to the dining room, they bump into blaze, ice, thorn and solar. Blaze and thorn are running, racing to the dining room.
• blaze accidentally bumps into albert
• solar is the one who apologises bcs the two troublemakers don't stop running.
• "I'm sorry about them. They can be..." he trails his eyes. "...quite troublesome."
• solar and ice accompany the moriarty brothers to the dining room ❤️
• when they arrive, the other elements are already there, except quake bcs he's helping in the kitchen
• then they have breakfast together while getting to know each other
• at first glance, william can tell who he shouldn't mess with
• which are thunderstorm, he's an edgy one
• thunderstorm is the '24/7 training to get stronger' brother
• and then we have solar
• his intelligence is no joke
• he can see through william's plan
• he's a genius too
• but he's more interested in technology
• he is the 'do whatever you want as long as you don't get me involved' brother
• he doesn't care if william wants to cause chaos or commit arson, but don't ever interrupt him and his lab
• moriarty brothers get along well with them
• but of course, some drama happens and i'm too lazy to write it
• so after the drama, there will be brotherly moments where the moriarty brothers finally trust in the elemental brothers
• then they start to get along again
• cyclone adores louis more than anyone
• he says louis looks like a kitten
• albert will be quite close with quake and thunderstorm
• the older ones
• william and solar will have brotherly love-hate relationship
• these geniuses can be rivals, best friends and partners in crime
• there will be a day like this
• "william, i told you not to enter my lab."
• "can't be helped, solar, i just want to hang out with you."
• "yeah, as if i'd fall for that. Just say that you want to learn about these technologies i'm making, dammit."
• and there will be a day like this
• "hey, wanna commit arson?" -Solar
• "...you know that quake will scold us again, right?" -William
• "is that a no?"
• "no, let's go."
• and sometimes thorn would join their crime
• well, the love-hate relationship is only on solar, bcs william LOVES solar as a brother
• whenever he feels down, solar will be the first person who makes him talk
• louis tried too, but william doesn't want his little brother worried
• one night, william comes to solar's lab while he's doing his experiments
• these two need to sleep.
• solar would look at him before continuing his experiments,
• "talk, i'm listening."
• william will vent on him about his problem, and solar will give his opinion and some advice as well
• "from what i understand based on your story, what you did is reasonable, but it's not right."
• he shakes the test tube gently.
• "but if i was you, i would've done worse. Like, torture him to death or skin him alive, then take his organs so i can do research."
• william sweatdrops.
• "...please don't bring a corpse home, solar."
• "no promises."
• in the present days, where william becomes the lord of crime, solar still manages to see through his plan
• solar knows that william is planning to die
• "...i won't stop you doing what you desire. Do what you want."
• solar would look away from those scarlet eyes
• "but until then, you can always come to me. You know that, right?"
• yes, he didn't stop william from doing his plan.
• william is also quite close with quake
• they will have night therapy just for william
• "it's okay to work hard, but it's never okay to overwork yourself. Rest, Will. You're too young to stress yourself out like this,"
• quake would accompany him in the living room with william leaning on his shoulder until he sleeps.
• quake is always the therapist
• let's skip to the final problem arc
• the elemental brothers never agreed to put london on fire, so when the moriarty brothers did, they're not pleased
• and william's suicide plan only makes it worse
• forgot to mention, the elemental brothers still have their element powers
• so when william falls, unexpected things happen
• cyclone saves him with his wind, and manages to bring him back to the land
• when the others arrive, william is quite nervous as he looks at solar
• "i thought you said you won't stop my plan?"
• "i didn't stop your plan, i just ruined it."
• he smiles in delight, and he looks happy
• "ah, it's refreshing to see that priceless face of yours when i ruined your plan."
• some drama and wholesome scenes again, and tadaa happy ending
Still have a lot but i'm too lazy to summarize it but i will write this au in wattpad and I'll probably post it here

Winners ranking oof
Below the cut. I don't hate any of them, as a side note
Personal favorites
1. Fairytale (Norway 2009) - When I found out about this, around the time I became an eurofan in 2018, I was in awe. It's so catchy and fun and omg I love the violin. Perfect
2. Nocturne (Norway 1995) - Want my anxiety to drop down to 0? play this song at any given moment
3. Waterloo (Sweden 1974) - Schalger pop songs from the 70s are my weakness. And how can you not love ABBA?
4. Dansevise (Denmark 1963) - There's something so charming about this whole performance. The singers' stage presence, the flow of the song, the guitar, like idk man it's so beautiful...
5. Heroes (Sweden 2015) - 12 y/o me had her eyes glued to the screen when this was on stage and whenever I re-listen to this I feel the same feeling as I did back then. The first ever eurovision song that I was obsessed with!
6. Arcade (Netherlands 2019) - Nothing more to say. Loving you is a losing game is a huge icon at this point
7. Poupée de cire, poupée de son (Luxembourg 1965) - I love the beat and how bouncy and cheerful it sounds. Her entire career story is so heartbreaking though I couldn't not feel bad for her...
8. Zitti e Buoni (Italy 2021) - Never forget the edgy italian rockers 😔😔
9. Tu te reconnaîtras (Luxembourg 1973) - I get such a nostalgic feeling from this, it's as if I've heard this several times in my childhood before but I can't exactly remember. The piano bits are so lovely
10. Fångad av en stormvind (Sweden 1991) - Why is everyone so harsh on this song, I'll never understand...I love how energetic it is!! It's probably my favorite Carola song tbh (okay I also really like Främling but shhhh)
11. Een beetje (Netherlands 1959) - Cute sassy song that could fit so well in an old disney movie? Yes please
12. Insieme: 1992 (Italy 1990) - Ah yes, the superior "peace and unity" song that actually feels genuine. I swear I've heard this before in the past actually, like before I listened to the esc winners
13. Hallelujah (Israel 1979) - Yes guys bring me the harmonies
14. La det swinge (Norway 1985) - Groovy nordic pop from the 80s my beloved, I love their outfits a lot! 💜
15. A-ba-ni-bi (Israel 1978) - It's so catchy like whenever I listen to this I have it on loop for 5 days straight
16. Vivo Cantando (Spain 1969) - I love this one too! Out of the 4 winners this or Netherlands were the best imo
17. Save your kisses for me (United Kingdom 1976) - Being this wholesome should be illegal /j
18. Un banc, un arbre, une rue (Monaco 1971) - Same story as Tu te reconnaitras, I kind of have the same feelings for both, I get this strange, nostalgic yet comforting deja-vu when I listen to them
19. The Voice (Ireland 1996) - It's so magical and mysterious, teleports me to another world everytime I listen
20. Puppet on a string (United Kingdom 1967) - This feels so wholesome and sweet, I always like these kind of carnival themed songs for some reason
21. De Troubadour (Netherlands 1969) - Love how melancholic yet upbeat it sounds, and the guitar is just amazing
22. Apres toi (Luxembourg 1972) - Makes me feel emotions that I didn't even experience, how great this is...
23. Molitva (Serbia 2007) - It's so anthemic, I feel connected to this song on a personal level
24. Euphoria (Sweden 2012) - It's universally known as the best esc winner, and I do like it but feel that it's a bit too overhyped and all? haven't willingly listened to this for a while, even though I still admire the choreography and whole stage show, which was indeed amazing!
25. L'oiseau et l'enfant (France 1977) - Favorite french winner, hands down
Really like this ones
26. My number one (Greece 2005) - Grown a bit off me lately because I've been way too fixated on the retro winners but still a classic nonetheless. The stage show is just so perfect
27. Rise like a phoneix (Austria 2014) - Outstanding. I'm so impressed by the melody and especially the lyrics
28. Rock me baby (Yugoslavia 1989) - Underrated as heck, it's so funky and the message is interesting!
29. Diggi-loo Diggi-ley (Sweden 1984) - Diggiloo diggiley himlen öppnade sig yeah don't ask me I know the lyrics to this by heart
30. Net als toen (Netherlands 1957) - She looks like she's telling a whole life story, I love this
31. Nous les amoureux (Luxembourg 1961) - Yet another one that I didn't care about before, but when I gave it a try I really liked it. Didn't know he was actually singing about a same gender relationship?? In the early 60s??
32. Love Shine a Light (United Kingdom 1997) - Gives me a warm, comforting feeling, absolutely amazing
33. Boom bang-a-bang (United Kingdom 1969) - Yesss this is so cute as well, I love her expressions lol
34. Hold me now (Ireland 1987) - The superior Johnny Logan song
35. Ne partez pas sans moi (Switzerland 1988) - A literal queen, this was a no brainer win for that year
36. Refrain (Switzerland 1956) - Teleports me into the 50s. Oh to be a singer in the 50s...how would that be?
37. Ding-a-dong (Netherlands 1975) - The lyrics are incredibly silly, though the melody is super catchy
38. Only teardrops (Denmark 2013) - So beautiful, especially the flute.
These are good
39. 1944 (Ukraine 2016) - The glowy tree part always gives me the chills. I recently started to appreciate this more and the story behind the song is very tragic
40. Hard Rock Hallelujah (Finland 2006) - The costumes are 3 edgy 5 me but the song, oh yeah, the song's really great
41. J'aime la vie (Belgium 1986) - What a bop. kind of 80s generic music but I don't care
42. Non ho l'eta (Italy 1964) - The instrumental is pretty, however, since I discovered the lyrics I just...don't like it as much anymore. It's probably my least favorite italian winner if I'm being honest.
43. All kinds of everything (Ireland 1970) - Might have gotten diabetes over how sweet this song is
44. Merci, cherie (Austria 1966) - That bridge is beautiful as heck. underrated
45. What's Another Year (Ireland 1980) - Yeaaah, I like this a bit, feels kind of long at times tbh
46. Take me to your heaven (Sweden 1999) - Tend to overlook this one, I feel like it's not as fun as the other swedish schalgers from the past (Bra vibrationer, Fångad, Waterloo) but gave it a try recently and I sort of...liked it? Sure, not as much as the ones I mentioned earlier but it's solid tbh!
47. Wild Dances (Ukraine 2004) - The live version is very messy tbh, I listen to the studio more
48. Un jour, en enfant (France 1969) - I love how soft her voice is, but ultimately the song transforms into powerful vocals with an epic climax. The thing is that I don't really actively try to listen to this...
49. Stefania (Ukraine 2022) - Epic flute guy is back! Kind of grew off me, maybe if I'll relisten it might go some places up I guess
50. Ein bißchen frieden (Germany 1982) - Please it's so cozy campfire cottagecore aesthetic
Neutral, don't listen that much to them
51. Making your mind up (United Kingdom 1981) - So energetic and silly, 80s trash lolol
52. In your eyes (Ireland 1993) - My favorite out of the 3 back-to-back irish winners
53. Rock n roll kids (Ireland 1994) - One of the legendary irish wins, it's good I guess but not up my alley
54. Amar pelos dois (Portugal 2017) - Reminiscent of those classy 60s chansons which I appreciate, still kind of don't get out of my way to actively listen to this, though
55. I wanna (Latvia 2002) - The first winner that had something more on stage than just dancing. Love the outfit reveal lol
56. Everyway that I can (Turkey 2003) - Trash early 2000s ethnic pop at its finest
57. Satellite (Germany 2010) - ...I kind of used to listen to this at first since I found it quirky and fun, but now, along with some others I kind of forgot about it?
58. Fly on the wings of love (Denmark 2000) - Not exactly my favorite, but it's nice
59. Si la vie est cadeau (Luxembourg 1983) - Feels a bit bland I guess? But it's a good effort
60. Believe (Russia 2008) - Maybe I was influenced about the war, but this really fell down a loooot in my ranking. Epic ice skater guy is great, but I tend to dismiss this one as being a winner for some reason
61. La la la (Spain 1968) - It's repetitive as hell, but at least I like the verses more, right?
62. Tom Pillibi (France 1960) - Her singing can get a bit too high for my ears lmao but it's nice nonetheless
Don't care about them that much, sorry
63. Running scared (Azerbaijan 2011) - It's not bad per se, but I still ask myself how did this win. It lacks substance, any sort of charisma or dynamic between the two
64. Toy (Israel 2018) - I used to haaate this one back in 2018, then it kind of became a meme in my friend group. So I don't really know what to say about this one
65. Everybody (Estonia 2001) - Very funky, but sometimes I forget that this is one of the winners 😂
66. Diva (Israel 1998) - Listen Dana is amazing, but I feel that her song lacks something? She wasn't singing that great either. Don't really find myself listening to it that much so...
67. Dors mon amour (France 1958) - it's very calming, but feels like it drags on for too long I guess?
68. Un premier amour (France 1962) - why is it so repetitive help
69. Why me (Ireland 1992) - it's...too whiny and dramatic for me, sorry, it's the winner that I listened the least so far 😔

whats your favorite thing about dai dark? ive started reading it, but i put it down and have yet to finish reading it, i believe i stopped on the second volume
oooooh that's such a fun question! i think my favorite thing about dai dark (and drhdr too) is the contrast between comedy and horror, which is carried out exquisitely thanks to q hayashida's genius mind (q hayashida if you're seeing this ilysm). it's honestly amazing how she balances violence and gory visuals with the silliest characters you'll ever meet. dai dark and drhdr take place in these gritty, deeply unsettling worlds but both of them are very fun and whimsical stories. dai dark specifically is a lot more upbeat than drhdr, which makes it a ligther read imo (bc when drhdr gets emotional. oh boy). especially bc sanko is just... a 14 y/o. he had to spend all his life running away from people who want to steal his bones so he just wants to eat his signature meatballs and spaghetti sandwich (meapswich!) in peace. the rest of the crew are a bunch of goofy dudes as well. damemaru is basically immortal and can control people's minds but he still is just a guy who wants people to call him something edgy like HELLMASTER bc he hates his name. they have a flesh eating giant flea pet that literally ate one of them one time but they also let it sleep in their jelly beds. the four of them are wanted in the entire galaxy and their adventures are incredibly gruesome but they still have to... go to the galactic store to get groceries. oh how i love them. that being said, i have another favorite thing about dai dark that no other manga has and that is: shimada death
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i really hope you pick up dai dark again hehe it's so good and it gets even better. you won't regret it!
