Hey, what's Spooky Gays enthusiasts, I'm jumping in on this tattoo headcanon train.

(I have a high pain tolerance, so my experience is a bit different from others with average pain scales)

As someone with multiple tats, I can confirm that the shoulder blades are one of the least painful places to get them. Absolutely little to no pain. At all.

Shoulders hurt mildly. Forearms hurt in some places, but other places aren't as bad. On the side of your arm near your wrist hurts less but it's still there a lil bit.

So, human au; Virgil is a lil anxious about getting his first tattoo bc of expected pain. Remus, who has more experience and a decent amount of tats, goes with his boyfriend as support. Remus rambles about his own experiences with the least painful places to get tats & what it actually feels like. This calms Virgil down a bit & helps him decide where best to get his tattoo.

Virgil decides to get his tattoo on his right shoulder blade. Remus rambles more about some random things to distract Virgil's mind and it helps him keep calm & grounded. After it's done and the tattoo artist gives him the stuff to help with taking care of the healing wound (bc tattoos gotta heal and they can take a while) & tips for it. How to shower while the tat is healing, when & how much of the gel to put on, etc. Sometimes, the tat may get a lil swollen or itchy but that's normal.

After all that, Remus gives him a sweet kiss and is like "ya did it! Look how sick that shit is, you hot fucker" and it makes Virgil laugh bc Remus is sweet when he wants to be and umm GAY idk.

The tattoo could be a spider on a spiderweb, a semicolon design (you can get stylized ones or ones with top dot/colon part of it as a cat head or something), or maybe a special quote from somewhere.

Side Note: for semicolon tats, they can be small or big or in between (like all tats). You can make them, like, themed after something. Like a cat one or a heart one or a coloured one, etc.

Imagine a semicolon tat with a lil spider as the top dot/colon part of it? Virgil would like that, me thinks.

Anyway, wanted to share some thoughts and experiences since I have some tats myself.

Always practice self-care, especially when you get things like tats or piercings. I have both and it's important to keep 'em clean and taken care of <3

God I fucking L O V E Ree comforting Vee as he's getting a tatt P L E A S E this is so fucking soft!!! I adore how much the chaotic man is proud of his boyf for making through the tatt it's so sweet and those tatt designs for the Emo sound S O fucking badass and would really suit him!!! (Also I'm very much keeping note of that information 👀)
