it was really fun to recap this, but damn, I hate my work lol anyways, sorry
here's my top 10:
v's bday post: it seems that i should start with this one, this was so challenging for myself. it was the first time making a gfx and it came out okay (i guess?). earlier this year i set a goal for myself that in 13 years (yes 13 lol) of making gifs i would do a blending/gfx for the first time and here it is. happy that i reach that goal at least.
3D mv set: this set was a turning point for me. when i created this blog, my goal was to post at least one set per week or every 3 days of my biases in order (as my url). but then i started to see people's reactions and it was so positive with this set, i kind of wanted to give in for good and return to this life as a tumblr gifmaker for bangtan.
this jimin fancam set: at this point, i think it's one of my bestest works in terms of colouring. i'm really happy w these.
vicnic highlights: this set doesn't have anything so extraordinary about it, apart from the fact that i stopped to cry a few times cuz i was so emotional seeing tae and jimin... god. but i like the lights (wich is not my merit lmao).
golden album preview: i admit, this one i'm proud of. proud of my brain for thinking on that dynamics, proud of my colouring and proud how i managed these gifs.
standing next to you: i was in peace w photshop that day. get really inspired by that mv i guess. like this colouring a lot, i still use this psd for some other gifsets of SNTY, so yeah it's pretty good :)
golden jacket shoot: this gifset... i have conflicting feelings. it took me a long time to make this one, it took a few days actually and there are gifs in it that I love, others not so much.
mcountdown: i guess this is my fave of jungkook. and it was the first to reach 800 notes lol. so yeah, i like that one :)
gcf in budapest: well... this set was difficult. as i said in those tags, i've changed everything for this and it turned out pretty well (i guess? lol)
ytc in busan: last but not least, my fave of myself this far. it holds my biggest notes but it is def not for that, i was really happy colouring these and it turned out great. so yeah, these are my favourite.

This might be a bit long-winded, and I'm pretty sure no one's even gonna be here to read it, but I just wanted to reminisce for a bit. After all my name-changes I'm not sure who will even remember me, but this blog was named "siiq" and "addict3d" for the longest periods of time. Bear with me as I just word-vomit all over the place.
TL;DR It's been fun, but this might finally be the last time I hop on here.
Hell, the last time I logged in was like a year and a half ago. Nonetheless, it's been kinda fun coming back here and just seeing what's what who's still around, who's deactivated, and what the site even looks like.
I still remember when shortly before the end of my Senior year of high school in 2011 God I'm fucking old when one of my friends in my GFX class decided to make a Tumblr account for me against my will because SHE felt like I needed one. I didn't even do anything with it over that whole Summer either. It wasn't until September I decided to get on here and see what it was all about. Very quickly it became sort of a home away from home. Myself and my immediate family members had had our entire world rocked and flipped upside down shortly before I got on here, and Tumblr became an escape for me. A way to disconnect from my world and circumstances at the time. An outlet for me to express myself and my creativity as well. Never did I think upon logging in here for the first time that I would eventually have over 25,000 people following me, and that a fair few of them would become great friends for that season of my life. People that could relate to me. People that would listen. People that were also, in different ways, broken like I was. People that needed a friend, like I did. Side note, it amazes me that people still talk shit about friendships online. One of my best friends of 15+ years is a guy I first met gaming in like '08 and we didn't even meet each other in person for the first time until about 5 years later.
But anyways, I don't think y'all will ever really know how much everything meant to me. The messaging back and forth, getting to know each other, the late night phone calls when one of us just needed to talk, all the times we'd get the gang together in Tinychat and just hang out, the roasting and trash-talking, reblogging each other's selfies just 'cause we just wanted our friends faces on our blogs, all of it.
All the little things.
Such simple things.
They meant so much.
So now here I am.
Sitting at my desk, almost 12 years to the day after my first post.
Scrolling through my archive and my messages for the last little while, just reliving some moments, scrolling through who I'm following and remembering simpler times. A lot of us have moved on and away from this site. A lot of us have grown up and subsequently grown apart as life has carried us in different directions and down different paths. And I know at this point most of y'all will never see this, but just know, wherever you are in life, whatever you're keeping yourselves busy with, I'm thinking about you and truly wishing all of you the best of luck in whatever you set your hand to. You, unknowingly, helped me through arguably the toughest years of my life and I'll never be able to repay you for that. You deserve the world and more, and I wish I could give it to you.
Again, sorry for the wall of text but I just wanted to get this all out in one sitting. I feel like it's been a long time coming.
With that all being said, I'm not going to deactivate this blog (at least not until Tumblr decides to do it for me), but it's at this time that I will bid you all a very fond farewell.

it's one way for me to socialize with you guys because of
(1) how fast you guys are speaking in discord (ngl i kinda feel left out a lot of times) especially with me waking up to find 200-1000 comments that i have to mute the group chat worrying about my phone battery
(2) how i live on the other side of the world so i can't to you guys as much without losing sleep.
other than that, i hope you learn more about me.
also, me only using youtube and tumblr as my social media platforms is because of the bad relationship i had with others social media platforms. i don't use tiktok at all because of the oversaturation and seeing people around me obsessing about tiktok challenges that it turns me off from joining. i also quit instagram because i use to compare myself with others, even with my friend circle. i also have other social medias like snapchat, facebook, and others i couldn't think about but deleted it because i don't use them anymore, while i used to be active on kpop stan twt before the toxicity comes to me but i still own it because it relates to the monthly minecraft event that i watched lmao. so i delete social media to detox myself and delete myself form the internet as best as i could so that people could only find me based on my internet persona.
i am back on instagram but purely so that i could open a portfolio page for the gfx designs i made for my hellsite fics and others...

hope this doesn't come off as a bother, but how do you go about making those cute little headers for your fics😭😭. i really wanna make some similar to sugar stream or secret go round, but I'm kinda dumb and nothing i've seen so far gives the desired results 💀. no pressure, and happy holidays 💞💞
you’re not bothering me at all !! but i am horrible at explaining bc i don’t have a set way to do my graphics because they’re all a bit different in design + i suck at explaining things in a beginner friendly way. i personally make all of my headers in photoshop, illustrator or after effects but i’ve seen other writers use other programs as well (i can’t help w those sorry but ik one is picsart which is great if you’re on mobile / don’t have photoshop, but there’s no way to make animations as far as ik IDKKK 😭) for the moving text, this tutorial is pretty easy for beginners to follow ! as for the aesthetics, i love trying to match my headers to the plot of my fic so it always gives me an idea of what i want it to look like. i’m sorry i can’t be of more help, i’m literally like a mad scientist when i’m doing gfx i don’t even name my layers 😭😭😭😭
if you do use photoshop and want a template for the moving text, i can make you one and post it for you <3

hi! i saw the post manobansa and i'm really sorry your work got stolen :( i'm not a gif creator but i know it must feel awful seeing others benefit off the work you put your blood sweat and tears into. gfx creators are honestly so underrated, making gifs is so much more than just putting your clip in some app and exporting it so watching people get their hard work stolen really makes my blood boil... i really love your gifs, they're always so so pretty and anyone can tell how much effort you put inot them, please keep your head up!! you're doing amazing 💖

Memes, unprompted asks, open starters, and dash commentaries are the best way to interact with me. I’ve come to learn that I get bored / lose motivation quite easily and rather quickly when doing starter calls. So I prefer sending / receiving unprompted asks, memes, and making open starters as well as replying to them. Now if we plan on doing a specific thread or something then that’s one thing. So I will very seldom if ever be making starter calls and / or like my mutuals’ starter calls because of how easily bored and uninterested I get with them early on.
I do practice mains & exclusives. Though I am extremely picky with whom I become mains or exclusives with due to bad experiences in the past. The number of dupes I will have of one character is up in the air right now so I'll stick with two to three mains per character for the time being.
Call me Shin! My pronouns are she/they. I’m 21+ years of age (29 to be exact) and am demi-bi. I suffer from severe GAD (with frequent paranoia episodes) and mild MDD. The fact that we have to remind everyone of this is problematic in and of itself. It ought to be common sense that none of us are our muses. Will we share similar traits and have common interests? sure. are there things that fascinate us with our muses? Most definitely. Do we condone everything that our muses do? Absolutely not.
Do not take Sakanade lightly. His Shikai and Bankai are both incredibly dangerous. Not only that but he's the Zanpakuto of Shinji Hirako (5th Division Captain and The Defacto Leader of the Vizards). You mess with Shinji or any of the Vizards and you will, without a doubt, feel the wrath of Sakanade. No exceptions.
I do not practice reblog karma. I’m perfectly fine with you reblogging musings, fanart, gifs, memes, music, PSAs, promos, and callouts from me. In fact, I encourage it. I'm not quite sure on what the shipping status is on this blog yet. But I do know that he's in an extremely complicated relationship with @yumichikah's Yumichika Ayasegawa. I would, however, love to build on his relationship with Hiyori's Zanpakuto (Kubikiri Orochi) and Aizen's Zanpakuto (Kyoka Suigetsu).
I have several verses to choose from. Okay … technically I don't because they're still very much under construction. With that being said, my default verses generally vary between 五 ›› verse ›› tybw arc and 五 ›› verse ›› post series arc.

I do, however, own all of my icons / gfx / promos / headcanons / etc. unless stated otherwise. So I'd greatly appreciate it if you neither stole them nor claimed them as your own considering I worked very hard on making all of them.
I am pro-callout if there is proof. I might not always reblog callouts but I do hardblock those who have been called out if there’s enough evidence to support the claim. I know we’re not perfect but if you continue to be problematic in the RPC and refuse to change for the better then you most certainly had it coming. Any callout posts I reblog will be tagged as CALLOUT TW and DRAMA TW for ease of mind.
I refuse to interact with problematic muns. If you are racist, ableist, sexist, LGBT-phobic, and a Nazi bootlicker then I want nothing to do with you. And the same is equally true if you're going to completely disregard all of the problematic themes within Bleach. While I abhor all of the things I listed, ignoring all of the toxic themes within Bleach does not make the problems magically go away. I'd say I'm sorry but I'm not.

I’m not duplicate friendly right now. I want to be duplicate friendly but I’m also incredibly self-conscious with my portrayal of Renji. I’m stuck using BETA TEXT EDITOR + XKIT REWRITTEN. I can’t use LEGACY TEXT EDITOR at all because I made this blog after November 26th, 2022. I know this might sound a bit brash but I'd greatly appreciate it if you used BTE with me otherwise I'm probably not going to interact with you until everyone’s forced to use BTE.
I only interact with mutuals who are 18+. Though I am perfectly fine with non-mutuals sending headcanon asks, anonymous asks, and chatting with me OOC. Otherwise, I’m only going to interact with mutuals IC. It just makes my dash cleaner and easier to deal with.
Memes, unprompted asks, open starters, and dash commentaries are the best way to interact with me. I’ve come to learn that I get bored / lose motivation quite easily and rather quickly when doing starter calls. So I prefer sending / receiving unprompted asks, memes, and making open starters as well as replying to them. Now if we plan on doing a specific thread or something then that’s one thing. So I will very seldom if ever be making starter calls and / or like my mutuals’ starter calls because of how easily bored and uninterested I get with them early on.
I do practice mains & exclusives. Though I am extremely picky with whom I become mains or exclusives with due to bad experiences in the past. The number of dupes I will have of one character is up in the air right now so I'll stick with two to three mains per character for the time being.

Will we share similar traits and have common interests? sure. are there things that fascinate us with our muses? Most definitely. Do we condone everything that our muses do? Absolutely not.
Do not take Renji lightly. Is he temperamental? Yes. Is he self-conscious? Yes. Is he weak? No. Ignoring his pride and being unable to admit defeat and facts, Byakuya chose Renji as his Lieutenant for a reason. He wouldn't choose just anyone to be his Lieutenant. CALLOUTS. The whole purpose of callouts have more or less gotten waaaaay out of hand and I'm not even sure how I feel about them anymore tbqh. The reason I bring this up is because the whole purpose of a callout is have those who are, in fact, problematic make public apologies and learn from their mistakes. Nothing more, nothing less.
DNI. Please don't interact with me if you, yourself, are a genuinely problematic person. This includes being racist, ableist, sexist, LGBT-phobic, and a Nazi bootlicker. I also don't want to interact with people who think it's okay to ship minors with adults.

MUN =/= MUSE. Mass Effect has a lot of shitty and problematic characters in the series and most of us don’t agree with their viewports. Kai Leng is canonically xenophobic, racist, and sexist. The Quarians created the Geth strictly for cheap labor only to then try and commit mass genocide when the Geth asked if they have a soul. TIM has a God Complex and is a manipulative bastard. With that being said, I’m fine with roleplaying with problematic characters just as long as you, the mun, are against their viewpoints. That’s all I ask.
MUSE. Do not take Commander Shepard lightly. Despite being “just human”, Shepard is the reason the entirety of the Alliance Military and everyone on the Citadel were able to fight off the Reapers. And while Damien is very much a Paragade he won’t hesitate in killing a bastard because of their problematic views. Case in point? Killing Gavin Archer for brutally torturing his brother physically, verbally, and emotionally. He also killed Udina and Kai Leng without hesitation for being … well … yeah. Long story short, don’t piss him off for he can and will go Renegade on your ass without second thought.

VERSES. I don't really have any verses up and running yet minus my Mass Effect verses. But that's not gonna stop me from interacting with people. In fact, I encourage crossover threads and whatnot tbh! It doesn't help that Mass Effect has a relatively small RPC so there's that to also consider.

Sorry it took me a bit to respond, had a bit of a crazy day yesterday, but here I am! How's your week going?
You make a good point, that best and favorite can be different! For me, my biases are always gonna be some of my favorites - Taeyang I feel like has a unique voice that's really interesting to listen to, and Chan's singing voice is just super pretty to me, some of his lines on Maxident sound so amazing. 😭 I also like really Inseong's voice, it's very iconic to me, my high note fox boy. 🥺 There's also this soloist who used to be part of a group where I really like his voice, especially in a song he just put out (here's the song if you're curious). There's also definitely other voices I really enjoy, but I'm bad at pinpointing who's who vocal wise until I'm really into a group. 😂
That's fair, it did have a lot going on! I think my experience is also biased as a Chan stan because he had some really great outfits for that MV. That uniform sort of one was soooooo good. 👌Britt I am telling you this specifically because of you being a binsung stan. You should really watch the Circus MV, especially if you haven't really seen their outfits from it. The general concept is just, circus. But the looks!!! I get you on not really rewatching MVs, after a few times I usually just listen to the song.

not odd at all !! personally, i am just always in awe at graphics/gfx like the creativity and the fact that people can make such beautiful creations out of a blank canvas!?!?!?!??! absolutely amazes me but i really love any sort of content, like moodboards and such as well, they're so cool to look at and recognize how much effort was put into picking pictures, coloring everything so it matches, and even some creators make gifs for them too !!!

I love all the songs you mentioned as well! totally biased opinion, but I think seventeen has one of the best discographies in kpop. there are maybe one or two songs that I usually skip but other than that I love all of them ahah
I think I first started making gifs around 2011-2012? I joined tumblr because of doctor who and saw a tutorial on how to make gifs - I tried it out and it was quite fun, so when I rejoined tumblr around 2017 and created a kpop blog I started making gifs again first for groups like shinee and wonder girls and then for seventeen too. however, I only started creating gfxs after I made this blog, I saw so many great creations of other carats and was inspired to make my own 😊 my dad is a graphic designer and he taught me how to use photoshop a long time ago but I mostly used it for photo editing ahah
I love making gfx, way more than making gifs, but it's been a while since I posted something here because I feel that nothing looks good ahah I have lost my touch, I believe. I do have the urge to delete everything I made each time I go on my gfx tag ahah
I love drawing too, but it's also quite dangerous for me because once I start a new project I can't stop until I'm done ahah and since I I can't take time off of work to draw, I usually only do it when I'm on holiday
my favourite seventeen concept? fallin' flower and home;run, probably. everything about fallin' flower is perfect, the song, the choreo and the whole vibe of the mv, but I also liked the theme for the home;run mv, it was fun and so seventeen (if that makes sense?). I'm just sad that they didn't reflect it in the album design too 😔
honestly they already fulfilled my every wish with fallin' flower when it comes to concepts, so it's hard for me to answer this question. however, I really liked the concept for their photobook 'social club' so maybe something similar would be cool? or maybe something inspired by a noir movie?
