Heathcliff (Wuthering Heights) "Growing up a fosterling near the Earnshaws, Heathcliff becomes an angry man, in love with Catherine. When he realizes that he can never marry Catherine Earnshaw, Heathcliff leaves to make his fortune. He later returns and devotes his life to making their families and heirs miserable, explicitly destroying their lives and happiness for the sake of petty revenge. He is described by other characters as a demon, and after death people see his ghost and his love Catherine’s walking the moors together.
Wikipedia says “Owing to the novel's enduring fame and popularity, he is often regarded as an archetype of the tortured antihero whose all-consuming rage, jealousy and anger destroy both him and those around him; in short, the Byronic hero”."
The Artificer (Rain World) "A fierce combatant, master of pyrotechnics and explosives. Keen to move up in the foodchain, your journey will surely be one lined with constant bloodshed and warfare."
The Artificer is a violent, carnivorous slugcat with the ability to propel themself through the air by creating explosions, along with the power to turn spears and rocks into explosives at the cost of food. They have a bitter grudge against the Scavengers, specifically, for reasons that are at first unclear, and their reputation is locked at the lowest possible value. Throughout their campaign, they sometimes dream before the save screen appears, showing you snapshots of their past. The first two dreams show them caring for a pair of pups. The third dream shows them passing by a Scavenger toll, where one of the pups attempts to steal a pearl. The fourth shows them running for their life and being forced to leave one pup behind, presumably to be killed, before the ground begins to shake as the rain comes. The fifth shows their second pup's death--drowning in a pool of water as they attempt to flee. All dreams after that show them killing Scavengers.
Five Pebbles is unusually kind to them, due to both the Citizen ID Drone they carry and the fact that they share a common enemy. A Scavenger pack has made its home in Pebbles' formerly-abandoned city, and he tasks the Artificer with destroying them, as they have been damaging the top of his can.
In this city (Metropolis), the Artificer can speak to an Echo, Twelve Beads among Burning Skies, who tells them the following:
"You are stuck in a cycle of wrath and destruction, simple being. Gripped by raw emotions whose chains bind you, destined to this land. Shortcomings of the past haunt one and all like whispering phantoms. Listen. Let this be a warning to you… An unrewarding battle awaits, culminating in a path of no return. A perpetuity of struggles begetting more of the same. Find a way out, if you still can."
Eventually, the Artificer (when following the game's usual route) finds their way to the Twelfth Council Pillar; The House of Braids, where they face off against the scavengers' chieftain. Upon defeating them and taking their mask, they are permanently locked at Karma One, which is believed to represent wrath and violence due to clues in-game. If they visit TBaBS after this, they say:
"You, who have encountered a consequence much like my own. Gripped by raw emotions whose chains bind you, destined to this land. Shortcomings of the past haunt one and all like whispering phantoms. An unrewarding battle awaits, culminating in a path of no return. A perpetuity of struggles begetting more of the same. We are a pair who have forfeited everything."
Alternately, the Artificer can seek ascension, however their wrath prevents them from ascending fully, and they are only briefly reunited with their pups before meeting an unknown fate.

Is Prez Trump gearing up for a big Memorial Day clemency push for servicemembers?
The question in this post is prompted by lots of new news reports, such as this lengthy one from Fox News headlined "Trump weighs pardons for servicemembers accused of war crimes, as families await decision." Here are excerpts:
President Trump is considering potential pardons for military members and contractors accused of war crimes as Memorial Day approaches -- deliberations that have prompted warnings from critics that the move could undermine the rule of law but also raised the hopes of their families who say the servicemembers were wrongly prosecuted.
Jessica Slatten, in an interview Thursday, told Fox News she's praying for Trump to pardon her brother, Nicholas Slatten, one of several Blackwater contractors charged in the shooting deaths of Iraqi civilians in September 2007. "Nick is innocent and our family is terrified that he will die in prison for a killing that someone else confessed to multiple times," she said. The
Blackwater case, and the 2007 massacre at the heart of it, is one of the more controversial portfolios before the president. The New York Times first reported that Trump was weighing possible pardon decisions on an expedited basis going into the holiday weekend.
Speaking to reporters Friday, Trump confirmed he’s looking at a handful of cases, while indicating he could still wait to make his decision. “We teach them how to be great fighters, and then when they fight, sometimes they get really treated very unfairly, so we’re going to take a look at it,” he said. “[The cases are] a little bit controversial. It’s very possible that I’ll let the trials go on, and I’ll make my decision after the trial.”
The review spurred harsh criticism from Democratic lawmakers as well as former top military officials, especially since not all of the accused have faced trial yet. "Obviously, the president can pardon whoever he thinks it's appropriate to pardon, but ... you have to be careful as a senior commander about unduly influencing the process before the investigation has been adjudicated," said retired Navy Adm. William McRaven, former head of Joint Special Operations Command.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said in a statement: "If he follows through, President Trump would undermine American treaty obligations and our military justice system, damage relations with foreign partners and give our enemies one more propaganda tool."
The lawyers and family members of the accused, however, insist these cases are not as clear-cut as they've been portrayed -- and, to the contrary, have been marred by legal problems. The cases include those of former Green Beret Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, who admitted to killing a suspected Taliban bomb maker; Navy SEALS Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher, whose own SEALS turned him in for allegedly shooting unarmed civilians and killing a 15-year-old ISIS suspect in his custody with a knife; four Marine snipers who were caught on video urinating on the corpses of suspected Taliban members; and Slatten.
Slatten is one whose case did go to trial. In fact, he faced three of them. The first ended in a conviction, but it was later thrown out -- as federal judges said he should have been tried separately from three other co-defendants, one of whom said he, and not Slatten, fired the first shots.
The second ended in a mistrial, and the third resulted in a guilty verdict. He faces a mandatory life sentence without parole, but his legal team is fighting to set him free. "Prosecuting veterans for split-second decisions in war zone incidents is wrong," Slatten's attorney said in a letter to the White House counsel's office obtained by Fox News. "Prosecuting ones for killings they did not commit is doubly so."...
Three of the other Blackwater contractors involved in the incident -- Paul Slough, Evan Liberty and Dustin Heard -- were convicted of manslaughter, but the D.C. Court of Appeals ruled that their mandatory 30-year sentence was a violation of the Eighth Amendment's prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment.
The sentences had been so severe due to a charge related to the use of machine guns. The court noted that the charge was based on a statute meant to combat gang violence, not contractors in a war zone using government-issue weapons. Their cases were sent back down to a lower court, and they are awaiting new sentences.
It is unclear if Slough, Liberty or Heard are among those Trump is considering for pardons, but Slough's wife Christin is hoping for the best. "I think that we're cautiously optimistic," she told Fox News. She said that her husband is "more than well deserving" of a pardon and is hoping that Trump will come through where other administrations have not....
Martin Dempsey, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned of the consequences that pardons could bring. "Absent evidence of innocence of injustice the wholesale pardon of US servicemembers accused of warcrimes signals our troops and allies that we don't take the Law of Armed Conflicts seriously," Dempsey tweeted Tuesday. "Bad message. Bad precedent. Abdication of moral responsibility. Risk to us."
Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg also expressed concern. In a Washington Post interview, the Afghanistan War veteran described the potential pardons as "so dangerous and so insulting to people who've served."
Trump's decision could come in time for the Memorial Day holiday, though he indicated Friday he might take longer. Despite warnings that a pardon might not be appropriate for cases that have not concluded, Christin Slough noted Trump is not a "traditional president." She said he is "more interested in what's right," than how things are normally done.

When will the media begin to speculate that the ISIS leader must have had info on Trump and Russian Collusion?
 NEW-
Today I covered some of the news stories of the past week-
1- The Democrat who targeted and shot Republicans on the baseball field [yes- the media would report it this way- if it were a Republican shooting Democrats]
2- How the media managed to Blame Trump- and Sarah Palin for the shooting
3- But in reality the media narrative for the past few months has been-
1- Trumps decision to pull out of Paris accord will lead to the death and destruction of civilization as we know it [yes- I read an actual article that put it this way]
2- Trump care will kill your children and beloved family members- on purpose!
3- Trump and his team our out in collusion with Russia to purposefully undermine the Democracy of America- and will do all they can to prevent the truth from coming out
Now- this narrative obviously has not been by all the media- but it has been used by some.
I actually stated a few weeks ago- that stories like this can lead to an unhinged man [in this case a staunch Democrat and Bernie Sander's man] to actually shoot at Republicans and injure one severely.
The media then showed clips of violence at Trump rallies [there were some of Democrats as well- the media did not show them] and insinuated that Trump and the Republicans were to blame for a Democrat trying to murder them [which of course could lead to more unhinged Democrats going out and trying to murder Republicans].
The media [some] have defended the play in New York where Trump is assassinated on stage.
And they went back to the Sarah Palin days- and tried to blame it on her.
Yet- there were many other examples- on the left- where violence was called for [yes- the radical left]
And I did not see a single attribution by the main stream media to these.
So- any sane person could see how the media are indeed to blame for the shooting of Republicans by Democrats.
Yes- maybe this is to plain to see- and maybe that's why some still don’t see it.
I also talked about the case of a marine- Bloodsworth- who was sent to death row for the sexual assault and murder of a 9 year old girl.
Part of the evidence against him was he knew details of the crime scene that only the killer would know.
He knew about a rock and panties found.
In the documentary it showed that the cops called him In for an interview- and showed him this evidence and asked him about it.
They also warned him that any thing he says can and will be used against him.
After he left the interview he told a family member about the evidence that the cops showed to him.
The cops then interviewed the family member- and asked what he said.
The person told the cops about the rock and panties.
The cops used this in court [he had knowledge of the crime that only the perpetrator knew].
The cops failed to tell the jury that they were the ones who actually showed him the secret evidence.
Bloodsworth was convicted and sent to death row- the child rapist and killer who committed the actual crime was on the lose [to rape and kill more children- like the killer in the Morton case did- not kids- but women].
Bloodsworth was eventually released- they found the DNA of the real killer in the judges closet- it was hidden there for 9 years.
Yes folks- that's just one example.
I talked a bit about our local area as well-
How Loyd Neal will not run again for county judge.
I think its time for many of the local judges-leaders to step aside and allow some new blood in.
Because Nueces county has had problems for a long time- documented by the national media [Flash bomb case- Tome Greenwell murder/suicide- etc].
And it would be best for new people to get in office.
I also taught some on Psalms 40- how one of the functions of the people of God is to speak- write- proclaim.
The psalmist says God took him out of a deep pit- God established him- then later in the Psalm we see a Messianic prophecy-
Psalm 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
It shows Jesus coming- and in the volume of the book it was written of him.
Yes- Jesus fulfilled the many prophecies about him that were written.
He didn’t just preach about them- and tell people where these prophecies could be found in the bible.
No- he lived them- he fulfilled them- he is the living Logos- the word made flesh.
We- as the church also live out the word of God.
We speak truth to power- we stand up for whats is right- and yes- we call out those in authority who have done wrong.
We speak out against white judges who might have showed racism towards those in the Hispanic community.
We speak out against corruption in society.
We do more then just repeat the words of the prophets- no- in the volume of the book it is written of us too-
We demonstrate the Kingdom thru both word and deed-
And if we have a little fun while doing it- well that's OK too.
 BREAKING NEWS!
I don’t want to make another video- right before I post. But as I watch the world news- a Japanese ship ran into an American war ship off the coast of Japan-
http://abcnews.go.com/International/us-navy-ship-collides-merchant-vessel-off-coast/story?id=48092522  Now- Japan is not China- but they too resent our presence in the region- it sounds like they played Chicken- and hit our ship. As of now- the U.S. war ship is sinking.
[note- the story makes it sound like an accident- the Japanese ship was bigger- and the rule of the sea is the smaller ship is required to turn first- it sounds like it was a game of chicken- the ships saw each other a long way off]
Also- the Democrat who tried to kill Republicans with his rifle- they reported he had a list- of Republicans on him- who he wanted to shoot. But aah- then the news reported ‘the sources warned- don’t jump to any conclusions’ meaning the man might have had all types of other motives- and it might have been an accident that he had the names of Republicans on his hit list. Maybe he was really a Republican with dyslexia- and he was out to target Democrats?
Last- but not least- the cop who shot and killed the Black man- with the lady and her Daughter live streaming it on Facebook- has been found innocent- http://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2016/07/07/graphic-video-minnesota-police-shooting-philando-castile-ryan-young-pkg-nd.cnn/video/playlists/philando-castile-shot-in-minnesota/
Yes- folks- that's the famous video where the little BLACK GIRL said to her mommy ‘don’t worry mommy- he wont shoot you too’.
Yes- I think we will end with that.

Firelord Ozai (Avatar: The Last Airbender) "Fire powers? Check. Used to inflict only pain and suffering? Check. Complete and total destruction of an entire culture and the attempted destruction and assimilation of the rest of the world? While using said fire powers? Check.
The use of fire to permanently disfigure his son for a minor slight and then strip him of everything he's ever known by exiling him in a futile quest feels SO desolation to me, It's like Jude Perry but without the stock market. Taking everything from the children of the Southern Water Tribe, both the victims taken and killed by the firebenders and the rest of the adults who left to fight them. The destruction and erasure of their own history for the sake of filling their children's heads with propaganda. Literally using the power of the eclipse to blast burn immense swaths of land from the air, impersonal and complete destruction. If you extend Ozai to represent the Fire Nation as a whole, which I think is pretty reasonably done as their dictator, it's pretty cut and dry."
