although you loved working at your little newspaper job, it'd been a rough last few weeks. your boss only allowing you to write the most boring articles you'd ever written. local woman celebrates her 100th birthday, it rained yesterday, the price of milk went up by one cent, it wasn't enough. you needed more, a challenge. so when the awful, loud coworker that you hated oh so much got the piece for elvis presley's upcoming show at madison square garden, allowing her to attend the press conference, you were about 5 seconds away from quitting.

"oh, they're definitely fucking." another coworker whispered to you, leaning on your cubicle. you scoffed. "no way, i just think she's good at kissing his ass." you turned your head to the side, watching as she let out a squeal as she hugged your boss tightly. "yeah, if sucking dick counts as kissing ass. you deserved that piece." they said to you, walking away after giving you a slight pat on the back. it was true though, you deserved to write about it. that should have been you screaming and thanking your boss. you put in more effort into your work than she did, it wasn't fair. apparently your other coworkers thought the same, inviting you out to drinks after work. you raised your glass, "here's to hoping somethin' very very bad happens to her-" you slurred. "-so the article goes to me!" everyone laughed and raised their glasses along with you. obviously you didn't want her dead or anything that crazy, just something enough to let your boss hand it over to you.

it was almost as if the gods above you heard your prayers. you had the day of the press conference off and had slept in a few hours later than usual. the phone rang, waking you up from your deep sleep. you answered groggily to your boss who asked if you'd be able to attend in your coworkers place as she'd gotten the flu and could no longer go. you couldn't turn the offer down, it was a dream come true. not only would you be seeing elvis up close and in real life but this piece could have people taking you more seriously. now all you had to do was come up with questions to ask him. this was supposed to be his first large show in new york and you had the honor of being there, you needed to have good questions but you also needed to look good.

after a shower and rushing the office to get your press pass, you finally made it to the hotel for the conference. you'd never been so nervous for anything in your life, you were practically shaking when you showed your pass to get in. there were people everywhere, cameras everywhere all over the floor. you still managed to get a spot near the front, right in front of the table where elvis would be seated. you pulled out your recorder and notepad from your bag. it was such a surreal moment for you. it got more real once his father was brought out , followed by vernon waving and taking a quick seat right as the same man who introduced him announced "mr.presley brought a friend with him!". the room filled with claps and cheers as elvis walked out, smiling and standing proud next to his father, hands on his hips and nodding towards everyone. he looked incredible, wearing the prettiest shade of blue you'd ever seen that goes well with his tan, the undershirt was gorgeous. a white and blue floral-dotted pattern with the collar up. not to mention the dark blue cape supported by his collar.

"first of all, i plead innocent of all charges!" he joked as he took a seat.

him and vernon took a second to adjust their seating. "we love you elvis!" a woman yelled from the back. "thank you dear, love you too. thank you" he said loud and proud, leaving you melting. elvis was so lovely, always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh but always giving everyone a real answer. you hadn't spoken up though, the nerves were getting to you, still starstruck by the fact elvis was right in front of you. you just couldn't get over how handsome he looked, that shade of blue against his tan skin was doing something to you. if you had been sitting down, you'd definitely have to cross your legs or keep your thighs tightly squeezed together. you made the mistake of wearing a skirt as well, everyone else was dressed casually while you were dressed like it was another day at the office. the way he stood up to unbutton his blazer and show off his gold belt definitely made those feelings of yours a lot worse.

a little later into the conference, elvis finally took a glance at you, giving you a soft smile. "you hadn't said a word this whole time, cat got your tongue?" you turned slightly red as his words, truth is, you didn't really know what to ask him. "um-so-how are you enjoying new york? has anything caught your eye? you must be very excited to play tonight."

there were a few more questions, a couple towards vernon along with a few photos being taken. the colonel finally came out, saying they had to wrap it up. you almost felt sad, only keeping your eyes glued to elvis and the suit he was in till he left the room. as you got up, you were quickly approached by someone on his team asking for you to stay behind. your nerves getting the best of you once again, were you in trouble? everyone cleared out, taking their cameras and such out of the room as you stayed behind, taking a seat on the edge of the stage.

"hey darlin', sorry to keep you waiting." if you had turned your head any faster, you could have easily broken your neck. there he was, the most beautiful man to ever walk on this earth, walking towards you with that famous lip curling grin on his face.

you got on your feet, pushing your skirt back down to an appropriate level. "oh my-mr.presley! it's an honor to meet you!" you held your hand out for him to shake, to which he took and placed his lips on the back of your hand. "thought i told you to call me elvis, hon."

"right! sorry, mr-ah-elvis." you replied awkwardly. "what can i do you for?" you asked, trying to not look down at the rest of him. you couldn't help but stare.

this blog runs off of mutual exclusivity to interact. unfortunately my draft count is super high and i have to limit myself to what i can realistically take on in my small free time. i ask that if we do not have a mutual basis (aside from the exception of sideblogs) please do not interact with my starter calls / send in memes to interact. i also tend to hardblock personals who spam my posts or rb things not intended for personal fanfiction.

please to not pressure me to reply faster or into a ship. sometimes i go all week without a single post other than ooc updates. those who are in the medical field would understand my levels of exhaustion. i never ignore anyone, dms or discord, including posts tagged for me - tumblr eats things and i am most likely napping. please have chemistry or some sort of partnership with me before assuming a ship.

Hi, I'm answering this publicly because this is extremely suspicious for the below reasons:

1. I don't follow you.

2. I don't think you're following me (or if you are you've followed me a long time ago and that doesn't seem accurate because...)

3. The earliest post on your blog is from yesterday.

4. None of your posts have tags except for your pinned post which is asking for money.

5. You're asking me to not share this message but rather to spread your pinned post which would make it look like I know/support your cause and people following me should trust it when in fact I don't know anything about you and suspect this is a scam.

6. "Pnuemo" is a prefix which means "lung" so to say she has a "small pnuemo" doesn't mean anything but DOES make your story sound more severe.

7. IF this truly is real, then amputation is going to be significantly cheaper and 10k isn't worth saving your dog's leg.

8. The quote itself is extremely suspicious as it includes:

2 sets of "additional" rads on top of the original rads (which I've literally never seen charged like that and certainly not separated in the manner that they are)

3 exam fees, all seperate (despite your dog having already been examined and admitted for care)

"oral meds" no? This is not how that would be billed. You'd be given the name of the meds

The rad interpretation is on here twice and I haven't been to a single vet that would even charge you for that because this isn't like with human Dr's. Your vet doesn't send that out to a different department for interpretation.

Your iv/catheter is on here twice. Once it's itemized separately and once it's itemized together despite the fact that they wouldn't need to do that twice. Also why do we have a catheter in the first place with these injuries?

"Perscription: medium" is not a charge that you would see. Again, it would be the name of the drug.

All the fluid paks are separate even though you'd have those on one line item.

Your dog doesn't have a weight. It legit weighs 0.00lbs.

They don't have your dog's age listed.

There is definitely more but I am done looking at this.

If this is real then you need to go to a new vet. Refuse further treatment and take your dog somewhere else because this vet is double and sometimes triple charging you. And forget saving the leg if you can't afford it. Just amputate. Dogs do quite well on 3 legs and it's usually cheaper because it isn't as complex as plating a bone.

I also really don't think this is real. I think this is a spam blog that was created specifically to con money out of people. I'd bet you could reverse image search those pictures and find them somewhere on the internet, but I'm on mobile and already done with this.

Darling anon (i feel a bit less stressed and kinda find that being my tag name kinda amusing to me but it’s mainly to identify as the same person etc.) (feel free not to answer this but this is just a response msg rather than leaving it open so you know I’ve read it)

I appreciate you taking the time to reply and thanks for also understanding, a lot of people might’ve gotten angry over me mentioning stuff like that though I didn’t expect you to as I enjoy the blog as I said, seems like a safe space, and you seem like a kind person.

I also rationalised with myself about how it could just be that as a woman you hadn’t considered anything like that off the bat as you perhaps weren’t used to it, or don’t experience it etc. so it wouldn’t of been actual judgment, just simple inexperience.. though I thought I’d set it straight as well as I also didn’t want to leave you feeling weirded out either and it didn’t sit right considering the intent of the ask was to send get well vibes/check in you’re alright as sometimes people just need that.

(I don’t hate you for role playing a gay guy, anyone should be allowed to RP anything as long as they’re sensitive/respectful to real life people as well, I only would’ve felt unhappy if it was that you RPd a gay character but weren’t understanding/got funny about real life behaviours or more intolerant to irl gay peoples behaviour/speech/all that, just as some women I’ve come across treat real gay people very different to their favourite gay characters, even if it’s positive obviously there’s such thing as positive homophobia as well, and I needed to understand what was happening.)

Hi again dear~, and i know you said i haven't got to answer this-- but, in turn i wanted to do so just so you know i've seen and read your message as well-- (it just took me a bit to reply this time as i was waiting until i had my laptop again)

Anyway though, i'd like to open this reply with a small apology for if i've misinterpreted/misunderstood anything from both this and your last message, given that sometimes my comprehension can be a little iffy-- But aside from that, i'm still glad to hear that you enjoy my blog~ and still think i seem like a good person even if that initial ask gave an impression i wasn't aiming to give--

Seeing as i do try my best to be an understanding person, and even in moments when i might not fully understand, i'll try my best not to treat anyone without at least a little kindness-- (unless they've done something to deserve otherwise, but that's another issue all together--)

And yes i do admit that thanks to both my status as a woman, and in part thanks to my background as well, i may not have as much experience/understanding of things in a gay/queer space-- i again try my best to be understanding about things i may not know much about, and hopefully plan to learn more about these things in the future… I do appreciate you trying to be understanding with me in return about that, though~ and very much still appreciate the good vibes you originally came to send💕

(aaaa i'm glad to know you don't hate me for soemthing like that-- as i agree, anyone should be allowed to rp whatever they like, so long as they're respectful and such to those irl it may deal with or effect-- because i 100% don't agree with anyone who would treat, for this example, someone gay in real life differently than you would any other person-- even if you do so in a way that's seemingly positive, but like you said, instead ends up being positive homophobia-- because to me, regardless of who a person is, so long as they treat you kindly/with respect they deserve the same in return--)
