I've gotten really attached to this Sim, so I might try to do some gameplay posts about her. I've never done that before, so it's just a trial thing! I wanted to give her a little intro post.

This is Cora Goth, daughter of Dina Caliente and Mortimer Goth. She was born in Round 1 of my current Pleasantview. She is a Knowledge sim with secondary Romance, and is a lesbian. She's never met another queer female Sim so she's ready for some love in her life!

She is a Pisces, and here is her personality. Her hobby is fitness.

In addition to her older half-siblings Cassandra and Alexander Goth, she has a younger brother, Morty.

Here is Cora's brother Morty as a toddler (when I still had ReShade in my game so he is EXTRA green). He was born right after their father Mortimer passed away.

Cassandra and Don Lothario had twins in the first round, Nick and Isabella (AKA Izzy). Cora has grown up with her niece and nephew, and they've all been close since they were kids.

Nick and Izzy loved coming over to Cora's house growing up - here are Izzy (left) and Cora (right) watching TV when they were teens. The Lotharios had a total of five children, so the twins came over to Glamma Dina's (much quieter) house as much as possible.

Cora, the Lothario twins, as well Unborn Baby Broke (who was twins in my clean template neighborhood!) all went to college at Sim State. Everyone did well and graduated!

Now all the round one Sims are getting settled into their lives post-college. I'd like to follow Cora and she tries to find love and success in life!

Darren is pursuing his dream of being an artist, while his son Dirk hits the books. And Darren may have found his muse, but will his creativity be enough to win Cassandra's affection?

ah well. the dreamer household’s intro round was even less eventful than that of don lothario’s, but i got everything set up here

gave darren a college degree in art (i swear i choose these at random lol) and a secondary aspiration. darren is a secondary family sim (these on the other hand are not randomized but calculated based on the sims interests)

first off i got rid of all the unpaid bills because having so many unpaid bills just lying around gives me so much anxiety i just had to. i had to

then i sent darren upstairs to paint while dirk went off to school

dirk brought along his girlfriend lilith pleasant when he came home, they made out in front of the house and fell in love

later dirk wanted to ask for homework help so darren helped him out

darren painted some more until he absolutely had to take care of his needs & go to sleep

Off to the Burb family! John Burb accepted the job of a male maid in Pleasantview to support his family. Little Lucy became friends with her neighbor, and the family adopted a little puppy. It wasn't long before Jennifer started expecting their second child.

John, Jennifer and young Lucy have decided to trade the fast-paced city life for some fresh air, and hope to make a nice home here in Pleasantview.

i moved the burbs around the corner from jennifer’s brother daniel pleasant’s family, right across the street from woodland park. little lucy must be excited to live so close to her cousins, i know i wouldve been thrilled to live within walking distance from my older cousins when i was a kid

i first gave jennifer a college degree in political science. john has no college degree

i also gave john and jennifer their secondary aspirations, and they both have a secondary romance aspiration so we have drama potential here

when i pressed play, john unsurprisingly rolled the want to have a baby so he and jennifer went at it

jennifer rolled the want to get a job in the business career and found an opening as a mailroom technician (lvl 1) right away

not much else really happened. the welcome wagon consisting of herb and coral oldie and darren dreamer came by and were served a delicious looking meal of lunch meat sandwiches 

im being sarcastic, those look absolutely disgusting lmao

oh except john didnt want to play catch with lucy and lucy proceeded to have a huge tantrum about it. they did talk it through later and lucy felt better afterwards

intro - broke trailer

Brandi was left to raise two boys alone following her husband's suspicious pool ladder accident. With Dustin acting out, can Brandi teach young Beau to make the right choices in life?

so unlike the other households on the intro round, i played the brokes for two days instead of just one because i wanted beau to age up into a child

i considered doing three days so brandi wouldve given birth to her baby but decided not to because (shrug emoji) 

anyway i gave brandi a college degree and a secondary aspiration. shes got a psychology degree, which makes the fact that she used to work as a drive-through clerk an even better backstory, i think. shes also a secondary romance sim. a family sim and a romance sim in the same sim. this is gonna be inch rest thing

the two days i played were relatively uneventful

brandi taught beau to walk and talk and started feeling the telltale symptoms of early pregnancy. dustin brought his girlfriend angela pleasant home from school and they had their very first kiss. and right after they kissed goodbye, brandi went to the bathroom and got her first baby bump.

i moved the crib to brandi’s bedroom (so whoever sleeps in it wont be woken up by the tv) and the stereo and the pinball machine to the hallway (so people wont barge in on dustin sleeping and wake him up because they dont know how to read the damn room), were gonna say dustin did the carrying bc who else wouldve realistically done that? not brandi i can tell you that much

the next day dustin went to work & was promoted to a numbers runner (lvl 2), bringing home a little extra cash which was badly needed bc bills were due and beau had just aged up into a child when dustin came home & needed a bed. brandi also got her second baby bump but the birth would have to wait till next round

intro - oldie house

The Oldies are simply one of the nicest families around. Their years together through good and bad have made them into the wonderful parents, and grandparents, they are today.

i had the oldies move in to the house right across the street from their adopted daughter mary-sue’s family. we can pretend theyve lived there for a while now or not i dont really care

anyway. i gave herb and coral their secondary aspirations - herb’s secondary aspiration is popularity, so like don lothario, he’s one of those people who want to like and like like everyone they meet. coral’s secondary aspiration is romance - she shares the combination of family and romance aspirations with brandi broke. i also gave herb a college degree in physics. coral has no degree, shes been a homemaker most of her life

those romance aspirations kinda make me wonder about that family description there, especially considering that these two raised mary-sue pleasant. has she learned her keep-up-the-appearances attitude from her adoptive parents?

what i like to think is that herb and coral oldie have been foster parents for the best part of their adult lives. most of those kids got lost in the system and theyve forgotten their names and faces, but they provided those kids the care they needed in this cruel world, if only for a while. they adopted mary-sue because they wanted a child they could call their own - a child that wouldnt disappear into the world growing up - and they couldnt conceive on their own

and now that theyve settled in their retirement routine and into this house - and their granddaughters have grown into beautiful young ladies who no longer need looking after - herb and coral have decided they want to do once more what theyre best at - taking care of children who need to be cared for

so they took in little chloe gonzaga to provide her with a caring home until she grows up 

they also adopted little paul oldie from simcity because, to quote myself, why the hell not. they have room for two kids in that house and things will remain interesting

intro - caliente condo

Was it just coincidence that the Caliente sisters arrived on the eve of Bella’s disappearance? And is their interest in Mortimer physical… or fiscal? 

continuing with all the setting-up-the-works-for-proper-gameplay stuff so i gave nina and dina their secondary aspirations - they both are secondary pleasure sims

also gave dina a college degree in literature. nina has no degree

dina wants to get a job in the architecture career so were gonna be looking for any openings there

nina wants to get a job in the dance career so that will also be happening eventually

not much else happened here. mortimer goth walked by, so dina ran out on the street to propose engagement to him, which he accepted because dont we all feel romantic when were recently divorced and our only daughter has just gotten married to a man with so many notches on his bedpost that the beds about to collapse

then dina and mortimer got married in the privacy of the living room, dina took the goth name

nina and alexander are nowhere to be seen here but were gonna say they were the official witnesses

mortimer moved in and brought alexander (and §§§) with him

nina moved out so alexander could have her old room and things wouldnt get awkward

the newlyweds sent nina off with more cash than shed probably ever had in her life

dina immediately started renovating and remodeling the condo with the remaining money so the household quickly went broke again

Cassandra is ready to start a family of her own, but can she tame the town Cassanova? And can Mortimer bounce back after the disappearance of his wife Bella?

so like i mentioned in the intro post im playing meetmetotherivers pleasantview so bella goth is alive and well and out and about as a townie here, were gonna interpret the whole disapperance part as mortimer and bella deciding theyre better apart and divorcing

literally the first thing i did was change cassandras hair because, well. dont tell me this isnt better than those pigtails. were gonna say she did her hair for the occasion and ended up liking it so much that she never went back

i also gave cassandra and mortimer college degrees and secondary aspirations - physics degree and knowledge 2nd aspiration for cassandra & biology degree and family 2nd aspiration for mortimer

once i actually started like playing playing, don and cassandra got romantic autonomously. as a result cassandra rolled the want to have a baby so thats gonna be a whole thing

i was gonna invite bella to the wedding but forgot, oops

lets just imagine that bella and mortimers divorce is still recent and theres of course the whole mess of her being abducted by aliens while at dons house and theres also the thing where don tried to make out with her and was rejected so bella decided she probably shouldnt come to the wedding to make the situation any more awkward than it needs to be

thanks to those autonomous romantic interactions don ended up not leaving cassandra at the altar so she became mrs lothario

don brought §54701 with him and promptly hid it all on his bank deposit account in case shit hits the fan

don and cassandra took over the master bedroom and mortimer moved into cassandra’s old room for the time being

cassandra got pregnant on the first try so thats a thing thats happening

On the surface, Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant seem to have the perfect life, but is their love a flimsy façade? And can Angela and Lilith make the right choices when it comes to love?

the very first thing i did at the pleasant lot was i fixed the roofs & i do believe i deserve a standing ovation for managing to do that in a pretty short time without crying even once. the roofs of the pleasant house suffer from that thing where the game doesnt consider them real roofs and consequently weather gets in and nobodys having a good time 

but then again who at the pleasant household ever does have a truly good time

anyway

the second thing i did was give daniel and mary-sue their secondary aspirations and college degrees. daniel is a secondary fortune sim and he’s got a degree in drama (good to know hes an academic expert in stirring shit when things get too boring lmao); mary-sue has a psychology degree and shes a secondary knowledge sim

aaaanyway the first thing that happened when i finally hit play was some cutesy flirting between daniel and mary-sue and i guess it brought back some long lost spark bc they got a crush on each other again

however right after daniel locked himself in the bathroom to work on his charisma skill mary-sue and lilith got into a pretty heated argument

now what i like to believe here is that mary-sues the one who wants to keep up appearances here, the whole long happy marriage and two beautiful well-behaved young ladies who have identical hair and as identical clothes as possible cos theyre identical twins thing - shes a politician, gotta create a trustworthy image, look good when the elections come, and theres probably a fair bit of you are going to listen to me and behave so and so and not such and such while you live under my roof young lady as well as constant nagging about how lilith ought to act more like her sister whos at least trying to be act like a lady. and dont talk back, dont take that attitude with me. so what liliths wearing at the start of the game is the most rebellious outfit she could find that her mother hasnt managed to get rid off. its the makeup, the boots, and the studs that irk mary-sue

as for daniel? he doesnt care. like seriously he doesnt give a fuck about his daughters at this point this familys a mess

anyway. the girls went to school, mary-sue went to work, daniel stayed at home practicing his speech in front of the bathroom mirror.

kaylynn langerak, the maid, arrived, and since the house was nearly spotless, was able to ask almost immediately if daniel wants to hang out. and boy does he

daniel and kaylynn are having a wonderful time - and for reasons i dont know (or care about for that matter lol), the fateful chance card that should result in mary-sure coming home early never came

however the twins did come home from school at this point - and angela got an a so naturally she barged in when daniel and kay were just getting down to do the nasty. she didn’t even register what he was doing and with whom. just closed her eyes and ears and focused on showing off her report card and pretending everything is FINE there is NO conflict in the pleasant household except lilith fuck her

angela brought dustin broke home from school. lilith came home with the townie teen randy london. randy and lilith hung out in the living room and became friends over the afternoon. daniel was almost civilized towards dustin - guess he at least had the brain to figure out he cant really judge either of his kids for the choices theyve made in their love lives. at least dustin isnt involved with anyone else. as long as daniels aware of, at least

now since that chance card of pure drama never came, mary-sue didnt get fired or demoted but instead promoted to lobbyist (lvl 3)

daniel decided he wanted a second round of woohoo just as mary-sues carpool arrived. so thanks to acr mary-sue did end up catching her husband in bed with the maid after all

im only slightly sarcastic here i love the drama this family creates around itself

id set everything up with nina back at 170 main street but moved her into her own place to keep things rolling

she had enough money to buy a tiny condo around the corner from her old home

had to take out a loan of a couple thousand simoleons to get all the essentials though. like a double bed for example

the welcome wagon consisted of darren dreamer and darren dreamer only

as can be seen here, he and nina got along. like very well. he stayed for lunch and dinner but things didn’t get steamier than what the pictures show
