do you have a favorite show you've filmed for? like, anything that was super artistic or fun?
Something that i think is close to that, that was kind of artistic, was a scientific exploration about the human body. I found that to be quite fun and interesting. Did you know that most of the liquid in your body is just filtered blood?
Your saliva is. Your tears are. Everything internally wet about you is varying types of blood. Your bones are wet, and full of its own blood marrow. Your blood is blood and so is your sweat!
You bleed when its hot, isnt that fascinating. Make sure you drink plenty of water, or youll die of blood loss. Most people would probably say I'm morbid for this, but that doesn't make it less true.
People are also just nerve connections, using skin and bones to move around. It looks like a strange branching tree, and is sort of beautiful to see close.
Dont misunderstand me though, this wasn't a horror program, there wasn't a demonstration, just diagrams and examples and sometimes lectures. Showfall media doesn't only do horror comedy shows, that's not our brand. Our brand is a little bit of everything, there's layers and variety to what we produce. The Founder wanted to have a show about how the human body and brain functions so it was made with the best experts.
...if it makes you more interested, Charlie was in the show. He was one of the children being taught the wonders of biology. Not in the specific episode I was talking about, the episode he was in was something different teaching preteens about the changes theyd go through getting older, but regardless.

in less than a year and a half the italian government has: worsened the living conditions for immigrants (which were dire already) with new "reception centers" that is really just a fancy word for a place that is worse than a jail; continued to let hundreds of people die at sea or deport them back to libya; cut the funds for public healthcare and education; favored the gentrification of historical city centers; suppressed and silenced protests for palestine all around the country; called for the arrest of peace activists; turned a blind eye on the inhumane conditions of an italian antifascist activist detained in hungary; called for a daspo to all singers (lmao???) who express their dissent (or literally anything even vaguely political that doesnt align with their ideology) on live, PUBLIC state tv; put forward their plan to leave the south in utter subservience to the north and made the police beat up the southern mayors and governors who protested against it; made the police beat up the students and activists who protested outside RAI (state tv) buildings in several cities against its shameless censorship of those that speak up about palestine, as well as its continued support of the zionist narrative through which the news are filtered; done absolutely nothing to mitigate the embarrassingly high percentage of deaths in the workplace or the even more absurdly high percentage of femicide.
and now they're trying to pass a law that criminalizes any critique of israel by lumping up antisemitism and antizionism in the same category so that if you even dare say hey maybe we should stop killing palestinians you could be legally prosecuted.
but they opened a few parks so i guess they also did good things

in general lately I've noticed a lot of enbyphobia revolving around the idea that's like "all nonbinary people are white skinny feminine they/them afabs who 'pass' seamlessly as cis women" with either the addendum "and are happy that way" or "and are sooo privileged that they're upset they 'pass' that way", finishing off with "...so, I don't have to care about them." and to that I have to say two things:
1. if you contribute to this, YOU are directly helping the erasure of fat, disabled, poc, amab, intersex, masc/androgynous, visibly trans, etc nonbinary people. YOU are directly contributing to the erasure of very real struggles nonbinary people face in schools, bathrooms, workplaces, and at the intersections of other forms of oppression. i don't usually address my posts directly to people, but if you do this shit, I AM talking about you. you are not *helping* nonbinary poc or disabled nonbinary people or fat nonbinary people or nonbinary butches or nonbinary transfems by stereotyping nonbinary people and using that stereotype to justify hating them. soul-search.
2. even if every nonbinary person on earth was white skinny femme and they/them (which theyre NOT, again)--they'd still deserve support?? and care?? within the community??? what are you on?? YES call out white/skinny/living in safer areas/etc nonbinary people out on racism, fatphobia, and other privileged things they might say or do... like you would with any other group. they're still queer and still deserve a space in the community.

quite funny consistently receiving the message that you're not pretty as a kid for inherent traits that you have, and being like "okay, so I'll just be something else then" and people are like "no, you have to keep trying" why. that would mess up my stat distribution. I'm clearly leveling in weird hobbies and being a guard dog. minoring in being a mischievous scamp

Okay here's my EA conspiracy theory lol:
You know how they've tried implementing online features in every Sims game but held back due to negative reaction, same with microtransaction DLC, and they've been increasingly focused on mobile gaming (where online connectivity is basically a given and microtransactions are more "accepted")?
I think their choices with the franchise have been attempting to shift the game's userbase to one that wants multiplayer and will pay for microtransactions. That's why they put so many resources into The Sims Mobile and made TS4 on console virtually identical to the PC version, why they introduced Kits, and showed mobile connectivity in the TS5 announcement.
Not every Sims player likes those things, but the ones who do are the ones giving them money, and at this point I think they've managed to shift the userbase towards that enough that they may actually manage to make a multiplayer, microtransaction Sims installment that will receive positive reception this time. And I think they'll accomplish that by catering to mobile gamers and build out from there, maybe even cross-platform support or whatever.
So basically I think The Sims 5 will be like Fortnite lol
