Lovvvve me a period drama. And a crime drama. Real life and online drama, not so much 🤣

I think when you've spent a lot of energy trying to calm your life down from external theatrics you realise how much agency you have over your own experiences and act accordingly.

So no, I don't consider myself a 'drama queen' fwiw. Although I do have friends who manage to make everything sound more dramatic than it is and it's hugely entertaining 😂I'm usually the buzz kill to the drama if I'm honest. The voice of reason no one wants🙄😑🤣

the jet lag, surprisingly enough, is the one part of all this that’s put her on her ass more than she had expected ------ considering the circumstances and her time away, she’d had her money on being back stateside for the first time in almost half a decade as being far more disorienting. which is likely why she doesn’t hear the question being posed to her by @wlsonsarah​ the first time around ------ probably second time too; she’d forgotten how loud a marina can be in the middle of the day; and even once she’s sure the question is being directed at her ( considering she’s the one perched up on the wall right in front of sam’s boat, it’s a pretty easy game of elimination ) it takes her a moment to answer.

this is what she gets for being habitually early -------- either that or sam’s just gotten really good at running late.

            “i’m sharon, i’m a work friend of sam’s,” work friend ------ considering what it is they both do, ‘work friend’ feels almost a little underwhelming. but ‘i was an enemy of the state for a while with him after we helped steve rogers cause some trouble’ is only going to lead to more questions; most of which are going to require far more mental capacity than she has available to her at the moment. that and she has no idea how much ( or how little ) sam’s mentioned about the last few weeks. doesn’t feel like that’s her story to tell ------ at least not all by herself. “i was in town, thought i would say hi. guessed he’d be down here, and it looks like i guessed wrong,” she cants her head, finally seeing what she’s sure is a family resemblance ------ either that or she’s about to add another faux pas onto her list for the day. “sister, right?”

actually i love it when the characters are all lying. i love it when they all have secrets and none of them trust each other. i love being given clues that solve puzzles i haven't even been presented with yet. i also love it when i get chills watching a scene without even knowing what it means, and when i do know what it means, i get even more chills. i love theorizing and thinking and solving and coming up with possibilities of where a story might be going. i love it and i will do it for free, for fun, for no real reason.
