When people talk about Dabi and Tomura it's so funny because Dabi as a kid didn't follow orders from his role model (Endeavor) and he refused to follow orders from AFO most of the time, but he would stick to Tomura's silly plans and he'd wait for his permission and he'd go back when called.

Dabi would tell Tomura "I don't follow orders from you" and he would still stand right there waiting for an answer.

Dabi would tell AFO or Enji "I don't follow orders from you" and he would be already moving away without caring about their response.

I'm not saying they are best friends, but c'mon. The authority figure that Dabi respected the most was Tomura. Isn't that something?

i was inspired by this tiktok of this guy ice skating to good luck babe! (this song is literally the inspo for this au)

Idk much about the actual figure skating world or anything so if anything is inaccurate to the real thing, I apologized T v T

spinner was a former hockey player and was bullied for being weak

tomura is a figure skater where the bastard afo is his coach and pressured him to win against all might (a fellow coach)

izuku, bakugo, and all might have a pretty similar plotline with yoi but that's another story

spinner was going to practice late at night when he witness tomura, already on the rink, skating like a fairy and that's when spinner decided to quit the team

this made spinner confuse bc it angered his team and he's like "but u call me weak and i'm kinda doing u a favor????"

if i were writing this as a fanfic, this would mostly be in spinner's pov bc tomura is suppose to be a mystrious but beautiful figure skater

when really, tomura is going thru a lot behind the scenes bc of afo pressuring him

eventually tomura notices spinner decided to help him and the first thing he does was to find a coach

giran recommanded mr. compress who was a former figure skater but due to some injuries, he was forced to step down but is a really good coach

btw, as cliche as it sounds, tomura is in a bit of a situttion ship with dabi (that's a whole other subplot)

ANYWAYS tomura also offers some private lessons for spinner to do with him

these privates lessons helped them grow closer to one another and soon tomura starts revealing little stuff about himself

how he is not happy doing figure skating, despite it being something he always wanted to do

or smth else idk

NOW THE CONFESSION SCENE: honestly i think this is when tomura becomes the most vunarble

he tells spinner that he has seen his hockey games and wanted to get to know him but afo, being a bitch, did not let him

he only got together with dabi bc he was despatre to love someone and dabi was the only other person before he met spinner to relate? understand? he doesn't know

before i forget, yes kurogiri is in the au, but he's kinda the acting coach for tomura but unlike afo, he watches over tomura's physically and mental well-being

so when he saw how spinner helped tomura, kurogiri sugguested to do a compietiion together

tomura was hesiated but kurogiri said he got sutff under control

afo will be get rid of (idk how but dw, he's gonna be gone by the end) and kurogiri becomes tomura's permitted coach or gets to be coached under compress

their first compeition together was the first time they truly had fun and felt free

tomura's outfit is my fav to think of bc i imagine he's always wore black in his costume but during his first competition without afo, he wore white instead to symbolize tomura's new beginning and the start of his healing jounry with spinner

they had their first kiss when they won :)

Tomura having trouble articulating what he loves about his Darling's body, especially in Gremlin-era.

Like in his Gremlin period, he's much less mean than Dabi. Unlike Dabi he doesn't always mean to be rude. He'll be groping them and say he wants to fuck them so hard that every part of them jiggles around while they're squealing and going from begging him to stop to begging for more. He doesn't really think through the "jiggling" thing coupled with saying they're "squealing" unless it's pointed out. And even then he's like "...I still don't see how you taking it that way is MY problem"

He gets better though as he matures. I mean throughout the entire "relationship" (read; stalking and kidnapping) he figured they wouldn't ever love him back until Stockholm Syndrome kicked in or something. He doesn't put stock in his appearance and doesn't really care about it, but he knows that by the way people have recoiled at him it must not be conventionally handsome or whatever. The fact that he's a scary-as-shit murderer who routinely wears disembodied hands may have more to do with that, though.

Since appearance isn't a major issue to him, he'd be pleasantly surprised by his Darling calling him cute or handsome. His mom and grandma would call him that, but it's different hearing it from someone not in your family. It's not them cooing over you in your Shichi-go-san kimono or when they're looking at your baby pictures, you know?

Post-gremlin, he'll sometimes stare at them and stroke their face while in bed. Their eyes are such a pretty color, and even when they're red from crying he can't help but admire them. If they're bigger, he likes how soft and squishy their body is; he's all muscle, scars, and dry skin. Having someone warm and soft is so different to him, almost like their body was made to complement his. If they're thinner, he feels like he's holding a doll when they're close together. He wants to wrap himself around them and graze the little divets where he can feel the slight raise of collarbone and hip bones beneath their skin and muscle. These are some of my favorite panels ever.

Aside from Tomura's rook being full of trash and totally ignoring AFO's words, there is something about the body language of the LOV here that calls to me...

Kurogiri looks like he wants to reach for Tomura, but Tomura is shutting them out. He is hugging the hands he uses around him, he has his hood on, hair covering his face, half turned away from them. He looks so tiny, so young in there. He is so like the Tenko that sat alone under a bridge 'cause no one would save him.

The League is bundled in his room after their loss.

Magne is sitting on his desk, facing him on. Next to her, Spinner is sitting on the ground with his back to Tomura. You can notice that no one dares to use Tomura's chair, even when it's right there.

Twice is sitting on a table, body half turned to Tomura. Mr. Compress looks like he is suggesting to wait outside. He must know that Tomura needs space to recover, that he doesn't want to show his vulnerable side. Toga looks at Compress like she's the one who's actually listening to him. If I had to guess, Compress is talking to Kurogiri here and not Tomura, since Tomura is unresponsive.

Dabi is behind Spinner, next to the PC. He stands there unlike Magne and Twice who openly face Tomura and wait to see what happens, unlike Spinner who seems to be processing their defeat and maybe even giving Tomura more privacy— or maybe he doesn't care that much at this point about Tomura and he's more worried about what they're going to do now. Kurogiri and Compress are trying to do something about their situation (talk to Tomura, take the decision to wait outside), but Dabi is way more like Toga here.

Dabi and Toga look a bit lost. Toga has that face she makes when she doesn't know what to make of what's happening in front of her. Meanwhile Dabi has a hand behind his neck, you know that gesture he does when he's thinking/considering how he ended up mixed in a total mess...

There's an intimate quality to it. They all can read what AFO being captured did to Tomura, so why are they hiding in Tomura's room like that? Did AFO send them there with his quirk? They don't look recently landed, which means they chose to sit around and see if Tomura needed them or if he had orders, sure.

They are confused after their first time meeting AFO. They are drained after fighting. They must be thinking really hard about all the information they got in one night, right?

Were they waiting for an explanation? Were they looking at their boss for guidance? The first thing Giran said to Toga and Dabi is that Tomura was young and inexperienced, even childish. It could be a surprise to see him so down, but not a big one when Tomura stormed off after meeting Toga and Dabi.

I can only believe that a part of them decided to stay to see if Tomura needed some comfort. To not leave him alone when he heard the way he screamed that he was not ready yet. When he is there in a corner of his room, when they can see the evidence of the neglect and the obsession, newspapers taped to the walls, investigations all over, books, junk.

Most of them had a stable childhood in a home. Maybe not the best of childhoods, but they can compare. After all they heard and saw...

Idk. It makes me think of how they'd continue to share a room for the rest of their existence, all the time awkwardly sitting next to each other. No one told them they should do that. They just did.
