So my thoughts on 3.5 spoilers included

Also, I'll talk about Dehya's quest and the event.

I'm surprised and not surprised that Kaeya was used more as a setup than a crucial plot point. He is a 4-star after all.

Which in my head. 4-stars are the less plot-important character who should be used for fun and to flesh out the world.

But at the same time, Kaeya and Diluc seem to have more end-game lore to them, and we did get quite a bit about Kaeya's family. So on to my thoughts

They didn't say this outright, but they pretty heavily implied that Kaeya is not a full-blooded Khaerian. Which makes a lot more sense. It would explain why he has seemingly escaped the curse. It could be that he covers up his eye because that eye doesn't have a star. And it would just draw more attention.

I would like to say I fucking called it.

Kaeya said he thinks his father left in Mondstadt to live a happy life. AND THAT'S WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING. Of course, that doesn't mean I'm correct, but it makes sense with Kaeya being a half-blood. Especially if, at the time, Kaeya's father knew about Chlothar and had a kid with a wife who was a follower of the seven. I don't think they are the same person. I actually don't even think they are brothers. It could even be that Kaeya's father is another Illigimate son who is still full-blooded, but was brother into the house or was nobler. That could explain why he was focused on the preservation of the Alberich name. Because he was barely giving it being a son out of wedlock so he had to take a lot more pride in his name.

My second theory is that they are Chlothar's far far descendants. Children he had after breaking his curse. This sorta seems less likely too tbh. But he was buried next to a women so who knows.

I also want to point out that I don't think Khaenri'ah will end up being a place without sin. Now I'm still on the Celesta is probably bad train. but I don't particularly get the vibe that they were totally blameless.

Overall, this was a good amount of lore, they add. I have some more thoughts on the Sinner, but this is already getting too long, and I wanna talk about other things. I will say it was a pretty short feeling, and the break from Paimon and talking with her was good. I was a little disappointed by the lack of Dain. Like we only get that bitch once a patch, and I need some more investment in his character. Given how he said he was the last of his people, but we've now met 3 other of his people lolol.

OK ON TO DEHYA

So a quick note on my thought on her kit. While I think it's pretty shit, given that jumping stops her burst, she can't hit Azhdaha's tail... I have a theory.

Remember when everyone said Kuki and Thoma were totally dog shit, and then dendro came out, and now they are almost staples of dendro teams? Well, I've started to wonder if Dehya is built to introduce a new mechanic like they were. What it might be, I have no fucking clue. Does that justify it? Totally not. It's just a thought and probably a bit of the copium I've been huffing.

Now her story

It was good. I enjoyed it a lot. Probably one of the better-paced ones, and we do learn a lot about the character and do sort of see her grow a bit, which I love. Ranking it's probably one of the better ones. I'll kind of put it next to Cyno.

Also, I am in love with shy baby Dehya. She was so cute.

That kind of rolls me into the event! And honestly, I was dying. Mondstadt and the Sumeru gangs really do carry this game. There are just such better dynamics between everyone, and they all mesh super well together. I AM PRAYING TO GOD we see Diluc and Kaeya. Mostly because I want Kaeya to start to tip Collie off Diluc and helped her, only for Diluc to jab him in the ribs.

Besides, Diluc would be so gentle with Collie, to be honest.

Oh. and last little note. I feel with very patch and every mention of Diluc and Kaeya the pair are getting a little closer, and I love that. Because Kaeya might say he'd only tell Diluc if Kaeya's in a good mood, but we all know he's gonna tell him anyway.

INTIMIDATES BASHERS - zhongli, diluc, itto, and xiao

ZHONGLI’s rolled up sleeves that shows his battle scars are enough for people who attempt to bash the two of you to not do anything at all, giving the ex-yakuza all the more reasons to be proud of his scars and not be ashamed to show them. though, you gotta admit, you’re surprised that it intimidated people despite the apron he always wears.

when you do encounter a basher that actually has the nerve to bash, zhongli first lets his scars intimidate the person and try to reason with them, keeping you beside him protectively in hopes of the basher not trying to harm you.

if the basher is stubborn and tries to harm the both of you regardless of your lover’s attempts, this is when rex lapis comes out in the light instead of zhongli.

you could only watch as your husband grips the basher’s shoulder in a tight manner, his eyes narrowing as the atmosphere grew tense.

“how would you feel about living in prison for a while?”

DILUC’s aloof attitude alongside his muscular form often intimidated people around him and he definitely isn’t complaining — especially since it backs off those who could attempt to hurt you because of your lifestyle with him, so the chance of getting bashed was only a 1% possibility.

however, the possibility is never a zero.

your harasser didn’t even know that your husband is the intimidating bartender that cleans glasses 24/7 because he only overheard you gushing to your friend about your lovely househusband in the bar where he drinks, so things didn’t go well with the person when your husband caught him sputtering insults and nearly punched you when you insulted him back.

nevertheless though, his guilt that sometimes creeps in him disappears when he sees you giving such a blessing smile, telling him how you’re grateful to have a wonderful househusband like him and how you love him so much despite his past :))

ITTO honestly didn’t intend to intimidate people with his stature and muscular scar-covered body and he’s incredibly oblivious from that fact. however, you are really thankful that his intimidated appearance is enough to make bashers back off - especially since your neighbors warned you and itto about bashers that lurks around the small town.

unfortunately, this doesn’t go the same for certain people because of xiao’s height, especially that one basher that spat out insults after insults because of your lifestyle with xiao — that is, until your husband takes one good look at the basher with a scary glare with intent to kill — and that was enough for the person to shut his mouth up and stare in fear.

you gotta admit, it was pretty hot. but scary as well. but mostly hot.

THREATENS BASHERS - kaeya and thoma

KAEYA will instantly take a hold on the person from going after you, staring at them with a cold gaze that replaced the loving look he gives to you and only you.

he may have promised that he wouldn’t hurt anyone anymore to you, but it doesn’t mean he promised that he’ll not do it verbally. all it took was for your husband to lean in on your assaulter’s ear and whisper a few words that made him shiver in fear and try to get away from kaeya.

so imagine your surprise when you saw your basher standing at your front door the day after the incident, muttering so much apologies as he kneels on the ground and begs for forgiveness to you. just what did thoma do to scare this poor guy?!

FIGHTS BASHERS BACK - childe, scaramouche

CHILDE will not take the basher slightly — especially if they were aiming to attack you first under his watch. seriously, were they asking for a death wish when they tried to hurt an ex-yakuza’s spouse right in front of him? childe amuses to himself, watching as the basher cowardly steps away when he sees childe bringing out a gun.

oh, you don’t have to worry about witnessing the poor bastard’s death by your husband - the gun is simply a prop that can scare off people like your assaulter, so no need to try and stop him, just watch the show and see if the man learned his lesson <<3 you wanted to ask why on earth your husband has a gun prop, but you honestly don’t wanna find out.

what’s not a prop are the two blades that childe brings out when he stands in front of the basher’s home, smiling menacingly as he goes closer and closer to the front door.

despite failing in being intimidating to others outdoors and not in his old organization anymore, SCARAMOUCHE makes it up through his violent verbal assault. he’s probably the only househusband that made you encounter a few bashers who aren’t scared of scaramouche’s appearance.

however, your lover is one of the only househusbands who won’t hesitate to go violent (verbally and physically) against someone who’d have the audacity to assault you. it didn’t matter if the incident occur in public, his major priority is you and your safety, so he’d be damned if he’d let this bastard’s disgusting behavior slide just because he has an audience.

you feel so out of place in this fancy restaurant where everyone seems so poised and classy. why did you even agree to this? oh right, you need the money. waiting feels like forever until a sexy voice that made your body tingle calls out to you. "kid draw this." you pass the notes to the boy who's sketching on a notepad and he nods while he gets his materials. you lean back with a satisfied smile as you smell the incoming money from this bestseller book.

Thoma — Sweet Home🌇

so this it...this is the end of your short life. you're a year from graduating and reaching your dreams and now this stupid zombie apocalypse happens out of nowhere. you haven't even stepped foot in Switzerland yet! goodbye mother, father, friends, relatives. goodbye world it was a mid life. wait are they even alive— "hhk!" a quiet hitch escapes your lips and you quickly bite down the flesh as the monster's ears turn and face you abruptly. your face contorts in horror at the terrifying appendage that's nearing your face; your body instinctively presses on the wall even if there's no room left to hide. you were accepting moments ago and now you're keeping quiet because you want to live. 'guess this is human survival instinct. and your survival instinct is telling you to hold your breath and keep quiet but your pounding heart won't listen, and you know the monster could hear it. this was a terrifying way to go, your heart pulled out of your chest. the ear gets awfully close to your nose and you close your watery eyes while your ears ring, lips bleed, and body paralyzed. 'let's just make this quick please. it's just like sleeping right?' a sad thought enters your mind as your body calms down while preparing for the blow. then a shrill shriek startles you as you open your eyes, watching the ear pull out quickly. A stabbing sound squelches and your heart drops as your hands absentmindedly place over your mouth. you don't know if you're relieved or guilty but you just press your knees to your chest and close your eyes. then, the atmosphere changes as a familiar voice calls out to you: "hey, are you okay? are you hurt?" your eyes take in the sight of a blonde guy holding a knife-broom with a worried expression on his face. then suddenly, every piece of nerve just connects together and your mind is back on track. OMG IT'S THAT CUTE MALEWIFE MATERIAL NEIGHBOR! IT'S THOMA! your sight then follows the familiar dog walking around the apartment and it turns to you as if smiling, serotonin immediately overwhelming you. you're very happy thoma and taroumaru are alive— oh, another man is holding a katana and a woman carrying a guitar! glad to know you're on the winning team!

Kaeya — Nevertheless🦋

he's the type of guy who doesn't like commitment and thinks relationships are a bother but likes to flirt. what a total asshole. and of course, you don't know that this potential danger is now approaching you since your back looked so appealing. kaeya sits beside you and asks: "is this seat taken?" you turn to speak but then you're met with the hottest man you've ever seen. one eye covered but the other is dark blue, tan skin, has a tiddie window, and an aura that just screams sex. you've been mesmerized by his appealing looks that it left kaeya chuckling, snapping you out of your dream. "n-no it's not taken." you reply to him as he sits beside you, ordering a drink for himself. you just broke up with your boyfriend and yet this man is currently occupying your mind, is that even right? that night continued with the both of you playing darts and enjoying each other's company. a small detail you noticed about him is that he has a butterfly tattoo on his nape. you wanted to ask him about it but it seems it has a deeper meaning that's not suitable for light talk. lucky you, he's surprisingly a schoolmate of yours! kaeya's visits to your apartment become frequent since he says he wants to get close! supposedly innocent touches become heated ones that lead to the bed. nevertheless, this unsafe attraction is what keeps you bound to each other.

[For Flowey I checked off 'they are so cool looking,' 'everyone but me is wrong about them,' 'they're deeper than they seem,' 'they got done dirty by the fans,' and 'didn't get enough screentime']

I think it is fantastic that I have met some excellent Flowey/Asriel fans recently who do amazing work in dissecting him as a character, and how they're both just the same person at two different points in life. But I am still so bothered by the whole 'Asriel is a Pure Sweet Innocent Angel to contrast Vile Vile Chara' thing.

Everyone is also Wrong when drawing his grown up form. They just have it be his God of Hyperdeath form, which feels lazy to me. His parents are both fat and muscular, and his dad has long blonde hair. Give me more beefy Asriels! Give him muscles! Give him a beard so he can braid it and put flowers in it!

Also the only reason I say 'not enough screen time' is that I think it'd be extremely funny if he just followed you throughout the entire Underground and gave his own snarky commentary, alongside the Narrator and Papyrus' phone calls. Even funnier if this is a secret bonus run you get after like five neutral runs.

I love Kris deeply, but since they really show their personality through narration and how others react to them, at present moment they really only shine as part of a dynamic. Specifically, I think they shine best with Susie, Noelle, and Berdly. As much as I adore Ralsei, he and Kris are both a bit too... obedient... to really display their personalities when it's just them alone.

I also checked both 'deeper than they seem' and 'not that deep'. I do this because I have a lot of opinions on a LOT of popular Kris theories. I think they're a deeper character than just 'secretly Chara' or 'secretly Frisk', and flattening to them does a disservice.

That said, I was also never a fan of 'at the end of chapter 1 Kris was going to KILL ALL OF HOMETOWN and we'd CONTROL SUSIE to STOP THEM,' nor am I a big fan of 'Kris opened the Cyberwold/Card Kingdom fountain!' I like that it was as simple as Kris pranking us. I'm also not a fan of 'there is a SECRET THIRD ENTITY who is controlling them to remove their soul! THEY caused Snowgrave'

No. No, we are not having a repeat of 'Chara is to blame for No Mercy.' No. Bad Fandom. We are not outsourcing everything you dislike about a character or your choices to a scapegoat. Bad.

...That said. Kris has made mistakes and I hope they will make even bigger mistakes but they've also never done anything wrong. <3

Also I love his dynamic with everyone. Especially with Diluc and Klee and Jean. I want an event where he and Klee just Causes Chaos and we have to clean up after them.

I ALSO want more lore. Because he's so so so involved with lore and I desire More. Y'know!?

okay. im bored. here’s ! my thoughts on people! from genshin!! as in! how i remebr them! (ppl im not familiar w wont be here) (theres so much writing fuck

kaeya - he had major character development . called me a Rookie a lot and was pretty bad at his job (imo) and he made me upset a few times but i think once we were both on our way to scout stuff maybe at liyue and he was like ‘u dont like me very much do you...’ and i said YEAH and then he sincerely apologized and as time went on he went from friend to. basically my big brother!. i love him a lot n i feel safe around him. n i sleep on him a lot too because this guys got beefy arms

jean - jean was like 2-3 years older than me but shes like the mom i never had bro. she was easy on me when i got upset she was just such a kindred soul. but she works!! too!! much!! it takes a lot of convincing to get her to turn in for the night. and i usually bring her coffee and stuff when she needs it....

albedo - see now albedo is like a chief alchemist and like he’s very smart and says a lot of things i dont understand but he cannot take care of himself for the life of him. He Gets Angry at things and then i go ‘did you sleep/eat’ and he goes “Oh, very sweet to me though... hanging out w him and klee is the best actually

diluc - i dont remember much of him other than when it was strictly business but i remember once i was having a difficult night and he came and sat with me and talked to me for a bit. n he empathizes with me a lot (his own words) and he gave me free grape juice one time. but often times hes Very scary

noelle - noelle is literally. ok i cant shes so SWEET and she knows like most of my secrets LMAO and she’s so resilient as well and so determined and brave and i. i love noelle a lot and i try not to ask too much of her because shes still young . if its late and im awake i’ll usually finish some stuff for her

klee - i start crying klee was so sweet to me. i think the first few days klee was in the knights custody she was pretty adamant with me but then one night she crawled onto my bed and we sang some songs and i told her a story about my grandfather. and then we’ve been besties ever since .. shes so adorable

sucrose - i barely met sucrose but again Just like albedo she has such a bad habit of not taking care of herself. i had to carry her down dragonspine once because of how badly she was shaking from not eating. she was very sweet tho and i gave her some tips on handling anxiety i consider her a friend :3

eula - eula was so cold at first and it made me kinda sad but she warmed up to me and i warmed up to her and she’s one of the sweetest peolpe ive ever met shes so nice and caring and hogghgh it wasonly like at dinnertime n i was Laughing and she started laughing too i was like oh shit im in love. 10/10

lisa - miss lisa was very nice to me even tho she made me run allll her errands LOL she was very touchy and liked to give me hugs /pos ... i think one time i blurted something along hte lines of ‘okay but shes pretty so shes excused’ in referring to Lisa and ive never recovered

barbara - BARBIE I loved barbara she was the bestie ever . once she invited me on stage and we sung something together. we both tag team jean when shes not resting. n i usually helped her w some of her duties... i also like stopped a lot of Crowds around her . she made me food :]

bennett - bennett was so so nice and he would help me if i got any injuries.. but also he worried me a FUCK ton one day he’d just go ‘im on an adventure!” AND JUST NOT COME BACK FOR DAYS. He’d scare the hell outta me but he was so cool actually

razor - i do not know too much about razor actually. all i know is thta no matterhow badly i make my outrider steak he’ll still eat it <3

xiangling - Ok she poisoned me (not really i just did notknow i was allergic to jueyen chillies and she fed me some) but xiangling was so nice and adorable . she was such a good cook and everytime i came to liyue she’d drop what she was doing and give me a huuuge hug i miss her

xinyan - xinyan is BAasically my best friend . We were both filthy lesbians . she gave me a lot of side hugs and she wld hold my hand and run thru liyue with me so full of energy. seh was so COOL too we sung together sometimes and she has such a lovely voice

hu tao - Very cute but also very unpredictable. i could not tell if she was going to give me a hug or if she was going to tickle me. scared me a lot... but but when it came down to it she was relaly cool
