about byler having sex I don't necessarily want it to happen because it doesn't change anything much imo for their love story but I also think they probably will not make it happen because it's too early and I think Mike and Will will start their relationship at the end of the show so idk if they will have time to include that, I think their love confession will be one of the climaxes in the finale otherwise I don't get why keeping it for the last season to the point of not even breaking up Mike and El a season before

and if they do, I think it will happen after a time jump anyway when they are 16/17 and they will not show absolutely anything explicitly because they have always been respectful showing intimacy between younger people in the show

I have the same thought process for the other straight relationships of the teens (I do actively want to see Joyce and Hopper sleep together - in a PG way obviously) nothing bad about it if they do but I don't care that much

{ also these are only my personal feelings on it but it would be kinda weird to watch it for me because I've seen these kids grow up on screen, I would find it really awkward - already watching Finn pretend to jack off in that movie he made was weird - so I do hope that if they do include that they slam the door on our face after one kiss like they did for janxy but I'm also pretty sure they will }

I’m gonna admit, I wasn’t paying Jinxi any sort of attention when watching episode 2. Like yeah, raccoon voiced by the Jello YouTube man, moving on.

But you pointing out the racial stereotypes made me go back and yeah, they’re all there.

So I appreciate you for calling this out because I have now changed Jinxi to Janxi, a Banksy allusion character in my fanfic because I am not trying to have RT levels of bigotry in my writing. 😂

I love the idea of fans changing him to the idea of the English Snakeoil salesman that we've all seen. Alice in Wonderland is an English fairytale, so the English conman would fit right in with it.

But no, anti romani stereotpes with a name that I legit thought was the slur the first time go brrrr. Haha how funny. I hate this show.

cheating storylines are fine but it depends on the characters and the situation, Mike and Will cheating together on El just doesn't make any sense in the story we have now because it goes against their characters first of all and it ruins the platonic relationships involved, plus it would be just outright ugly af to include on the actual canon story after all the betrayals El has lived already, thematically is very low to make her experience even that... the situation for janxy and stanxy is different because Jonathan and Steve were literally low-key enemies ( even if I think Nancy and Steve broke up before she kissed Jonathan but that's up to interpretation because it was just an implied breaking up and not explicitly said - so I think she didn't cheat ) and Nancy was a pretty gray character from day 1 (good for her) that didn't even have a good platonic relationship with Steve if I have to be honest + Steve did some fucked up shit in s1... but in their case Will is giving priority to El's happiness over his own and Mike is shown to be loyal to extremes to his friends and both of them have a strong platonic relationship with El - the guilt would literally break them and their relationship would be tainted by starting on a cheating plane, I think it would be a really ugly start of byler and I wouldn't like it in canon, it would ruin my love for this ship ngl
