“you’ve been on tour for the better part of a year now,” the interviewer was interrupted by an eruption of applause from the audience, and jennie’s eyes lit up at the appreciation. the interviewer laughed, “i agree, everyone! but, jennie, i’m curious to know what it is that keeps you going? all of these shows and premieres have to drain you, right?” jennie knew this was a loaded question. the media had this obsession with twisting her words to make her look ungrateful or lazy. she couldn’t help that she’s a private person; with that meant keeping her struggles private.
“well, the blinks, obviously! i couldn’t do it without their support!” she smiled towards the audience, and cheers filled the room once again. she knew this wouldn’t satisfy the media, though.
the interviewer continued, “that makes sense, we can tell how much they love you, too. but i think we’re all itching to know if there’s an even more special someone that is hiding behind the scenes; humor me, please!” jennie could feel her shoulder starting to tense. ‘the second you let them in, the second it falls apart.’ her head filled with thoughts of losing her love. after all the effort it took to make things work, she wasn’t jeopardizing it for a talk show host who wouldn’t think twice about how this could effect her.
“i don’t really have the time for a relationship, if i’m completely honest.” firmly stating her point to the woman across from her. the interviewer shot a fake smile laced with chagrin and jennie knew she had won. she loved y/n too much to lose.
