Thinking about Undertakers Underground when the Piffling press starts pestering Rudyard who is very clearly going through the 5 stages of grief and is as far as we know is the only one besides Georgie putting in any kind of effort to free his TWIN! SISTER! and Eric and how even though Reverend Wavering told them both were trapped, Jen and Sid only asked him about Eric. Not Antigone. His twin. His little sister (albeit by a week). They (and everyone else but Rudyard and Georgie) only cared about Eric. And how that parallels what Antigone was telling Eric in the mine shaft. If it was just Antigone down there, the town at large wouldn't have cared.

#like I know Rudyard going through 5 stages of grief is written as a bit for the most part but that one moment #that ONE fucking moment #Jen and Sid were JUST told that Antigone and Eric were BOTH trapped #they know who Antigone is they know she and Rudyard are twins #and then there's Rudyard himself #Literally PLEADING for 5 more minutes #the only person making any sort of visible attempt to clear away the rubble #(Georgie being Georgie found another way in to save the day but she's off site most of the time) #and all they ask the this man who is CLEARLY grieving the potential loss of his sister #the only person who has stood beside him his whole life #is Eric fucking Chapman #and whether or not he's relieved that he's trapped and potentially dead #I'm having emotions #wooden overcoats #wo #rudyard funn #antigone funn #georgie crusoe #eric chapman #jennifer delacroix #sid marlowe #reverend wavering #also yes I know they're 35 but as an oldest sibliny your youbger siblings never stop being little siblings
