PAIRING : prince jungwon x princess reader SYNOPSIS : when you're suddenly turned into a frog, jungwon's the first person you come to for help. prince yang jungwon is no stranger to pranks

24 HRS A DAY . 7 DAYS A WEEK . 365 DAYS A YR

he had a lifetime of experience being the butt of such jokes ( o_o)

so much experience that he could probably put it on his resume ..

if only princes needed resumes

his elder brother, crown prince jeongin’s favorite pastime was to tease him ● ﹏ ●

and his sister jiheon wasn’t much better either … she was always babying him

jungwon loves his siblings but sometimes they seem to forget he’s now an adult

HE’S OLD ENOUGH TO BE MARRIED ??

and as a close friend to prince niki, it’s safe to say jungwon never got a break

usually the doing of niki, odd things had frequently found their way into jungwon’s private corners …

all made out of ice but still very realistic in appearance

TOO REAL FOR JUNGWON’S LIKING …

elephants, peacocks, tigers, you name it & jungwon had likely woken up to to it

BUT THIS ??

this was a different situation altogether

jungwon is not at all surprised when he wakes up to a frog on his chest …

he doesn’t even bat an eye at the extravagant gown the frog is wearing

but then it moves ??

none of niki’s ice sculptures had ever moved :00

maybe it was just the wind

yeah that’s probably it

jungwon freaks out a little when he notices the windows are all closed shut (O.O ?)

but he completely loses it once the frog starts to talk . .

shocked is an understatement . he's completely flabberghasted

someone must’ve slipped smtg into that cup of warm milk he drank before going to bed

yeah that’s got to be it because there was no way he was in his right mind currently

jungwon doesn't know how to process his current situation …

he’s frozen in place (and for the first time it wasn't bc of niki’s magic)

jungwon’s never paid much attention to gossip

but maybe the rumor abt his crazy great-great uncle was true …

and maybe it runs in the family ??

or maybe all the pranks have finally gotten to his head & he’s lost it

jungwon thinks he’s good person and a relatively good prince

sure, he’s skipped a few sword lessons from time to time

and sometimes fell asleep during his history lessons

but he’s always paid attention to the important stuff and his instructors love him

so he’s not sure what he did to deserve this

he’s sure that he must have lost his mind bc why …

WHY IS THERE A FROG ON HIS CHEST ??

WHY DID IT CALL HIM “WONIE” ??

AND WHY IS IT STARING AT HIM ??

you hadn’t wanted to scare jungwon but you had been waiting for him to wake up for what seemed like forever (ㆆ _ ㆆ)

and you were growing more impatient with each passing minute

unfortunately for you, jungwon looks even more confused now …

the frog sounds just like you + claims to be you

if he was being honest, its beady eyes did kind of resemble yours

BUT IT’S A FROG ???

jungwon sits up, leaning against the headboard as he gently picks you up

he makes a cup with both his hands and holds you up to his face

YOU THINK YOUR HEART MIGHT BEAT OUT OF YOUR CHEST

his eyes are completely focused on you :(( AND HE JUST LOOKS SO CUTE

STOP YOU CAN’T BE FALLING IN LOVE WHEN YOU’RE A FROG

meanwhile jungwon is having some epiphanies of his own

it had been almost a month since jungwon had last seen you, but he’d known you his whole life and you’d never shown any sign of being amphibious …

so he’s not sure why now ( ´ ･_･`)

jungwon didn’t have any magical powers or quirks of his own

but the concept wasn’t anything out of the ordinary especially among royal bloodlines

even niki had his own ice powers which he had only ever used to prank jungwon

turning into a frog though? that was pretty lame

it was almost worse than not having any powers at all

he can’t help but let out a snicker at the thought

“y-you’re a f-frog?” (jungwon, making no attempt to stifle his laughter)

“ STOP SMIRKING YOU IDIOT ” (ง'̀-'́)ง

you might actually have a heart attack if he keeps looking at you like that

ughhh why is your best friend so pretty??

it’s not fair（πーπ)

WAIT STOP YOU NEED TO FOCUS ! ! !

BE STRONG YN ! ! !

you couldn’t believe the audacity of yang jungwon . . .

YOU CAME TO HIM FOR HELP AND INSTEAD HE WAS MAKING FUN OF YOU

“o-okay i promise i’ll stop now” yeah he better stop (≖_≖)

“but seriously though, how’d you turn into a frog?”

just as promised, jungwon stops laughing and politely listens to everything you had to say

AND SO YOU TELL HIM ALL ABOUT HOW YOU HAD BEEN PLANNING TO SURPRISE NIKI FOR HIS BDAY BY SHOWING UP UNANNOUNCED

you had gone to your kingdom’s royal mage for help with the transportation spell ...

but he wasn’t available (T⌓T)

so you went with the next best thing — his apprentice, your elder cousin felix

who was clearly lacking training ಠ_ಠ & also no longer your favorite cousin ﴾ò_ó﴿

felix aka the primary reason you were now a frog had somehow messed up your transportation spell . . leaving you in this miserable state

technically the transportation spell was a success . . .

BUT YOU WERE ALSO NOW A FROG

and could no longer surprise niki for his bday in the way you had intended 🙁

jungwon patiently listens to your rant, giving you his complete attention the entire time

“don’t worry yn”

“i’ll take you to our local mage, maybe he can help”

comfortably nestled into jungwon’s pocket, the two of you quickly make your way to the royal mage’s quarters which was conveniently located in the same tower, just a few fleets of stairs below jungwon’s own quarters

*knock* *knock*

“prince jungwon! how are you?”

a very, very handsome face opens the door, greeting you both with a warm smile

jungwon introduces you to the mage, hyunjin and quickly summarizes your current dilemma for him

while jungwon speaks for you, you’re attempting to suppress the urge to ask the pretty mage if he’s single (´♡ᴗ♡`)

once he hears the entire story behind your predicament, hyunjin quickly goes to gather the necessary ingredients for a counter-spell, leaving you and jungwon alone together

“yn stop”

“won i'm not even doing anything” it’s rather hard to, when you’re still stuffed in his pocket

“stop ogling hyunjin.” jungwon whispers in your direction with a deadpan look on his face

he can’t help but feel annoyed with the mage at your behavior

hyunjin isn't even that good looking (¬_¬")

“yn i can literally see you drooling”

jungwon swears he’s much prettier in comparison

and he’s never given it much thought but he can’t see himself with anyone other than you …

so there’s no way that he’d let a stupid mage steal you from him (・`ω´・ ●)

you’re not sure how jungwon notices you staring, but who can blame you . . .

the mage is very pretty <33

and his arms looked really nice as he mixes all the ingredients together 🤭🤭

soon enough, hyunjin returns with a tiny vial filled with a bubbly, purple liquid

the mage leans towards jungwon’s pocket, meeting your eyes

“hopefully this will help”

HYUNJIN’S SMILE IS SO BRIGHT

that you think you might just faint at the sight . . .

while you remain dazed at hyunjin’s etheral visuals, jungwon takes the vial from the mage and opens it for you

he angles the vial towards your mouth and you quickly down it all, happily waiting for your transformation (๑˃̵ ᴗ˂̵)

some time passes and you continue to wait, just more nervously than before ( ′ ～‵ )

BUT THERE’S NO MAGICAL *POOF* ??

and you’re still a frog . . .

just a more disappointed frog than you were a few minutes ago

（；＿；）（；＿；）（；＿；）

while you and jungwon are at a complete loss for words, hyunjin quickly has a realization ( ‘◇’)

“YN. MAY I?” the excitement is clear from his voice

despite having no clue what the mage is referring to, you eagerly nod in agreement

hyunjin reaches out, picking you up from jungwon’s pocket

he brings you close to his face

（〃・ω・〃）

and then sniffs you? :000

“ ahh of course, it must be love! ”

at this, jungwon’s jaw drops and yours quickly follows

HUH …

LOVE (?_?)

DID YOU HEAR THAT RIGHT?

WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT?

was that a pickup line? maybe it was like his generation’s version of upsexy?

“hyunjin, what do you mean?” jungwon’s voice interrupts your daydreaming

“i think the mage who cursed yn must have accidentally added some sort of element of protection to the spell –”

“wait, felix did give me an extra safety potion bc i was a little nervous about doing the transportation spell by myself”

as much as you wanted to hate him for the whole FROG situation you were in, your cousin truly was a complete sweetheart

“while he accidentally messed up the transportation spell, the protection potion he gave you clearly works very well. it prevented any magical influence from interfering with you.”

hyunjin takes a deep breath before continuing his explanation

“because he used the blessing of venus in your potion — i’m afraid that the only way to undo it is with true love’s kiss”

WAIT WHAT

it’s safe to say that both you and jungwon are once again at a loss for words …

noticing the two royals freeze up, hyunjin takes it up on himself to break the silence

“yn do you happen to like anyone?”

jungwon’s eyes harden, flashing towards you, intently awaiting your response

“y-yes …” if you weren’t still a frog, you’d have been sweating buckets (•᷄- •᷅ ;)

jungwon feels his heart sink at your admittal :((

“but i don’t think he likes me back . . . ” and then it comes right back up

maybe he still has a chance at your heart

hyunjin visibly deflates at your revelation, but tries to keep his composure steady

as the eldest of the group, he can’t help but feel a strong responsibility towards the two of you

“could you please tell us who?”

WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO NOW (T__T)

staying a frog forever didn’t sound half bad in comparison to potentially losing your best friend

“yn please. we’re not going to judge you” jungwon’s surprises himself with the words coming out of his mouth

that was a complete lie, he didn't mean that at all

NO ONE CAN STOP HIM FROM JUDGING WHOEVER YOU LIKED

so what? maybe he is a little sulky about you liking someone …

jungwon didn’t know who they were

but no one would be able to treat you better than him

no one deserved you more than he did (ಠ╭╮ಠ)

“it’s you”

“it’s always been you”

at first jungwon’s disheartened, assuming that you had been talking to hyunjin, but then he realizes the mage is looking straight at him

HUH IT WAS HIM ALL ALONG ??

YOU LIKED JUNGWON ??

mentally, jungwon was going crazy in excitement but mostly relief

physically though, he remain fedrozen in place, eyes widened in shock at your confession

immediately fearing the worst from his response, or rather lack of, you can’t help but start to tear up

you just feel so bad (˃̣̣̥╭╮˂̣̣̥)

not even a second passes before you're full-on sobbing

except you’re a frog so it just sounds like “HUEHUE *RIBBIT* IM SO *RIBBIT* SORRY”

hyunjin is absolutely horrified & completely lost on how to handle the current situation

HE‘S JUST A MAGE ㅠㅠ

HE DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO COMFORT ROYAL CHILDREN

luckily jungwon is quick to snap out of it once he hears you cry

“wait yn don’t cry ! ! !”

“YN I LIKE YOU TOO”

huh（；＿；）

jungwon likes you too?

“really? you do?” (⚈ ⌢ ⚈)

jungwon’s heart aches as you continue pouting

“you know i wouldn’t lie about that”

“you promise?”

jungwon’s so obviously down bad for you that he’s not sure how you didn’t already know

even niki knew . . .

“i promise. i love you.”

a tiny smirk adorns his face as he carefully picks you up

“is it okay if i kiss you now?”

“more than okay” (yn, eyes wide & furiously nodding your head)

jungwon smiles even bigger, letting out a small laugh at your eagerness

all while holding eye contact with you, he places you on the table and moves closer, bending down to meet your level

and then he gives you a small peck on the head

*POOF*

OMG IT HAPPENED

YOU’RE NOT A FROG ANYMORE ( ◠‿◠ )

the first thing you do is squash jungwon in a huge bear hug

“thank you wonie”

“of course, you know i’d do anything for you” he’s so sweet :(

once you finish squishing jungwon, you face the mage to say your thanks to him too

“hyunjin, i‘ll forever be in your debt” you’re not sure what you would’ve done without him :(

both jungwon and you decide to head back to his room, giving hyunjin a chance to relax after such a stressful day

you’re both walking side by side, shoulders brushing against one anothers

and you’re just so happy and grateful for everything (๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)

until you remember what had just transpired . . .

( ＾∇＾) → ( ・∇・) → (°▽°)

JUNGWON KISSED YOU ??

AND YOU'RE HUMAN ??

SO HE LOVES YOU ??

“wait jungwon ! !” you halt in your tracks, grabbing him by his coat sleeve

“a-are we a thing now?” you’re so nervous what if he says no

“huh, what do you mean?” jungwon smirks, clearly enjoying the sight of you in such a flustered state because of him

“are we boyfriend-girlfriend now?” you’re even more nervous now and jungwon thinks you’re absolutely adorable

“would another kiss answer your question?” (jungwon, grinning widely as he’s finally realized the effect he has on you)

he feels incredibly smug knowing that you’re so down bad for him

( ¬‿¬ )

your crush on him was truly doing wonders for his ego

“but, that wasn’t a real kiss” (yn, slightly frowning)

forehead kisses don’t count

especially considering you had been a frog at the time

jungwon scans the surrounding hallway for any peeping eyes before responding, gently grabbing you by the waist to pull you closer to him

“should i kiss you, for real, this time then?” he whispers into your ear, so close that you can hear the smirk in his voice

he’s actually going to be the death of you …

“please” (yn, awkwardly avoiding eye contact)

jungwon tilts your chin up to face him, his other arm still wrapped around your waist

you both lock eyes and he doesn’t waste another second before kissing you

it’s sweet and awkward and a perfect first kiss

you both pull away from each other with huge smiles

in that moment, everything is absolutely perfect ♡

and together, the prince & his frog live happily ever after !!

𝗞𝗜𝗠 𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗡𝗪𝗢𝗢 when you're laughing; the sound of your laughter, the little giggles and the big snorts, sunoo is in badshit love with everything. he lives to make you so happy you cannot think about anything but laughing your lungs out at something funny or giggling to hide the sweetness and shyness you feel at his words. to see your eyes light up, your smile turning into tiny sounds of excitement sunoo can never move on.

𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗪𝗢𝗡 when you're asleep; the vulnerability and softness your features hold when you are passed out makes him feel so giddy, jungwon just cannot stop staring at how cute and peaceful you look. the little snores you let out are his favorite thing in the world. your hair falling over your eyes and lips, breath dulcet and cozy. he loves tucking the strands away, grazing your cheeks and leaving fleeting kisses all over, pulling you closer to him.

"how do you look so pretty even when you're sleeping?"

𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗠𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝗥𝗜𝗞𝗜 when you're checking out your outfit; putting on different dresses and twirling around in front of the mirror (and him), stopping to check your reflection in store windows and mirrors, riki does not know or understand why he feels so insane in love watching you do all that but he knows he looks at you all gogo gaga when you do it. sitting on the bed and helping you decide which outfit you look better in while his mind is all fuzzy.

fans started to notice how heeseung kept stealing glances at you when you were busy interviewing them.

you, a new mc in a rookie group got all heeseung’s attention. you’re giggling? heeseung giggles too. you’re smiling? heeseung’s smiling too.

“how do you feel about your comeback?” you made an eye contact with heeseung and your heart skipped a beat. “um…” he was left speechless because of the short interaction you both had.

jungwon took the mic and giggled, speaking instead of the stressed heeseung and making a joke about heeseung being too tired to focus.

fans couldn’t ignore how heeseung kept looking at you with a smile all smeared over his face, as if he just now fell in love with you.

not even a day passed after the interview and all the fans would go crazy with videos and tweets about you two.

“have you seen the way he looked at y/n? i swear we were all just witnessing this man falling in love with her for the first time”

one of the things that your fans loved the most was to watch your lives and ask you questions.

you decided to do one on valentines day and one of the most common questions was if you got something for valentines day when you were younger.

“if i got something for valentines day…?” you repeated the question, thinking about your school days, “i did actually! it was a flower bouquet and a few chocolates with a cute little note on the side” you giggled remembering the cute gift you got.

“jay from enhypen was my classmate back then” you added right after.

fans went feral, making up conspiracies about you and jay being classmates and jay being the one who got you the valentine gift.

he went on live at the same day and his whole live was filled with questions about you and valentines day. he just giggled and confirmed that you and him indeed were classmates, no mentions of the valentines day gift at all.

that didn’t stop the fans from shipping the both of you and videos from yours and his lives became trending.

LEE HEESEUNG tightens the grip around your waist and pulls you in until you bump by his side. you could easily figure out the fake smile plastered on his face, holding you tight by his side in front of his friends.

“so, is he more handsome than me?”, he whispers as soon as his friends are gone. it took you a couple of minutes to realise why he had a death grip on you, “you seem to like him a lot.” a single conversation with him has heeseung going tomato red now.

“what do you think?”, you scoff, looking him dead in the eye.

“why do you need that ugly plushie when im here…”, jake whines, plopping down right beside you and scooting even closer, “am i not good enough?”

“did you just call toji fushiguro ugly?”, a frown casts upon your face as you whip your head around to shoot a glare at your boyfriend. poor him, he's too confused and jealous for this, he really wants to replace the plushie in your arms. “you're out of your mind jake.”

“i am in fact very willing to be out of my mind and be crazy for you,” jake rolls his eyes, shifting closer to you until there's only a pillow between you and him, which he soon throws away. the fresh smell of laundry and cologne floats from his sweatshirt and hits your nose, it always puts you at ease, and you miss the warm afternoons with him, just snuggling and all over each other, giggling over random past memories. “but i know for sure that plushie will…not do that for you,” jake breaks you from your trance.

“how about you show me that?”, you wink at him. heck, have you been staring at him too long?

“now you're talking”, jake smirks, snatching away the plushie from you as he sets it aside, practically throwing himself on top of you, engulfing you within his strong arms to press a series of kisses on your face, “fuck that ugly plushie.”

PARK SUNGHOON sighs, entering your shared bedroom with a bored face and arms folded. some obvious yet subtle signs he's disappointed by you, but the last disappointing thing you remember you did was eat his tiramisu. what crime have you committed now?

the bored expression quickly turns into a playful one as he clears his throat, tilting his head to one side, “are you resisting the urge to kiss and make up with me right now?”

“no not really”, you answer instantly, typing away on your laptop. but then you realised what he actually just said. with squinted eyes and a smile, you turn your head towards him, “kiss and make up? what exactly happened for us to do that?”

“i think it's about time you stop texting your best friend”, sunghoon sits down beside you giving you the meanest eye roll ever. he scoffs, “i don't get why she hates me and you don't do anything about it. it's like you two backbitch about me.”

“you won't believe it but i actually rant about you all the time to her”, you giggle, sunghoon's cheeks blooms from underneath, “she's sick of my extreme love for you.”

you let out a gasp as sunghoon pulls you in his lap, a coy smirk playing around his lips, “she should be. everyone should know i'm the best boyfriend in the world.”

you hook your arms around his neck and pull him closer, “so was the kiss and make up part just an excuse to kiss me.”

“maybe”, sunghoon chuckles, pulling you in for a chaste kiss, “who knows.”

KIM SUNOO stares straight into your phone screen, while listening to you ramble about your day and how it was. and when it glows to reveal the lock screen, sunoo feels infuriated.

“seriously now y/n, i can't believe this!”, sunoo's sudden shift in position causes your head, which was lying on his shoulders, to hit the bed frame, “like this is too much”, he seethes.

you utter a small ‘ouch’ and rub the hurt spot, a confused “what?” leaving your mouth, “wh-what do you mean?”

“you know what i mean, love”, he rolls his eyes, taking your phone and holding up the lockscreen in front of your face. it's not him. it's a random tv show character that he doesn't even know about. it should be him, it must be him, not a guy he doesn't know. “am i really being robbed of my wallpaper privileges?”, he sighs.

you let out a heavier sigh, putting up one of those smiles sunoo can't help but blush to. “don't you worry, love. maybe i don't want other girls to perceive my man. but if you're begging for it, i'll change it”, you giggle.

sunoo let's a sigh of relief and scoffs, “i'm not begging—”

“on one condition though, my head hurts!”

“aww come here, let me kiss it better”, he smiles, pulling you in again.

YANG JUNGWON literally just spawns right behind you as soon as the guy you're talking to at your friend's birthday party decides to make a move on you.

heeseung would kneel in front of the sofa first, after noticing that you fell asleep waiting for him. would admire your for a moment; his eyes would surf on your features just as the light from them front door’s hallway does. would be so endeared by you that he would forget that time is passing, “woah there,” he would say, heart jumping in his chest when you move a little. would lift you up to bed, carefully and would leave multiple peck on your lips after putting you in bed.

jongseong would gently stroke your hair, caress your cheek with his knuckles with a beyond soft look on his face. would try to wake you up by holding your hand rubbing your palm and whispering soft words to you. would tell you about how lucky he is to have the love of his life waiting for him even though she is sleepy. you would wake up, telling him to shut up in a fond voice filled with sleep before sleepily following him to bed.

jaeyun would wrap his arms around you in a careful mention, waking you up would be his biggest worry. would lift you in his arms gently, peppering kisses on your cheeks as he holds the back for your head — while one of his arms is around your waist and you face is in his neck. hushed tone and soft spoken, would plead you to not wake up when you move a bit. would end up sleeping in that exact position because you would end up holding against him too much.

sunghoon would cheese the second he sees you asleep. would have tell you on the phone, a few hours prior, that there is no need for you to wait for him and you would tell him, in between a yawn, that you would be fine. “what did i tell you, sweetheart?” he would whisper in your ear, quietly and teasingly, then would giggle when you whine in your sleep. would end up sleeping there, body over yours as he doesn’t want to wake you up by trying anything else (you would wake up to tell him to get off of you, he wouldn’t do it).

sunoo would stroke your arm, kneeling in front of the sofa, just so he can face you. would do so until you wake up, his sweet smile would be the first thing you see ; although you could barely see it in the dark, the mere light of the kitchen would be enough to make it bright. “were you waiting for me, baby? let’s go to bed, mh?” he would say before giving you a kiss.

junwgon would accidentally turn on the living’s room light, jumping when he sees you sleeping and you would let out a loud groan. turning to the other side, with your sleep ruined, you would sulk for a while. “i’m sorry, babe,” he would kiss your cheek, “i didn’t know you were there”. would kiss you until you break into a chorus of soft chuckles and tell him to stop. would hold you tight in his arms that night.

riki would get worried about how you wasted your sleep schedules for him only, wondering if you would not be too tired the next day. the second thing all over his mind would be not waking you up, almost walking on his tiptoes towards. would stumble over a lot of things however and wake you up at the end. “did i wake you up? i’m so sorry..” he would whisper to you and you would assure him that it is alright with a pat on his head.

you know he's the jealous type just three days after dating him. it's in a fun way— of course. despite being the jealous type he doesn't overdo it ( or at least tries not to. ) you're gushing about your favourite character from a show or a celebrity you like and he's sulking on the inside.

“byeon wooseok is hot but not hotter than me. right, darling?” he would ask the moment he catches you watching the edits of the actor on tiktok. with eyes fixed on you, his lips morph more and more into a pout when you take more than a few seconds to respond. “i can't believe this,”

you watch him sit on the far end of the couch, away from you, refusing to spare you a glance even though you know his attention is on you. “c’mon hee, are you jealous of an actor? he doesn't even know me,”

“well, good for me because with how pretty you are, he will definitely fall for you if he gets to know you,” he replies through a frown, eyeing you through his peripheral gaze, arms crossed. it only makes you laugh at how cute he can be sometimes.

“and i'm in love with you so it doesn't matter,” and he's back to normal, crawling to your side and wrapping his arms around you. you just have to remind him that every time jealousy gets the best of him, even though he already knows it; but he likes to hear you say it.

jay thought it would be cute to ask you out on a little convenience store date until your neighbour's son crashes it. well, not literally since he only happened to be there at the store. however, despite all, being the person he is, he doesn't think much of it.

that is until that guy decides to follow you around throughout the time you two shop. even when you two make it to the counter, he's next to you, talking to you and you're responding nicely, considering he's your neighbour.

“um, we're dating,” he says with an awkward smile when that guy asks if you're single. and jay has always been patient but he grabs the shopping bags and your hand, and walks out of the store with the speed of light.

“you can let go of my hand,” you laugh at the look of pure jealousy on his face. it's not really obvious, but you can see it. you've known him long enough to know how he is when he's jealous.

“nope,” he shakes his head, lacing his fingers with your own while you two are walking back to his place. “not until we're home,”

JAEYUN

he thinks he's being subtle about it but you don't miss the way he keeps scooting closer while you're texting a friend. he's not trying to peek, he's trying to get your attention.

“who even have you been texting for so long?” he asks after a few seconds, sitting lazily next to you on the bed with a faint pout residing on his lips.

“my friend. it's her birthday soon and she wants me to go shopping with her,” you don't even look up at him as you respond, smiling at your phone screen. he stares at you for a brief second before laying down with a slight whine.

“you're leaving me,” his words reach your ears and you turn your head towards him, brows furrowed. “i need to die,”

and the ‘j’ in jake stands for jealousy, it was never a secret. however, you didn't expect him to act like this right now. “jake, it's not that serious,”

“it’s four in the evening and not a single kiss today,” he sits up and says with a dramatic gasp— eyes wide open as if the situation is oh so scandalous. he sighs, putting a hand on his chest, shaking his head. “i'm afraid this is my last day. any last words?”

sunghoon was all up for an evening stroll around the campus after classes but definitely didn't appreciate the transfer student from your class ruin this little date.

"i know, right? my girlfriend is the prettiest girl on earth. and guess what? she's smart as hell— i love my girl. oh you want her number? well, she's mine," all in one breath, followed by an awkward silence and sunghoon's prideful smile. "now, me and my girl have somewhere to be so if you'll excuse us,"

he doesn't even give a chance for your classmate to speak, walking away while bringing you along with him. as funny at it is, you know he wasn't taking any of it.

"was all that necessary?" you ask, fingers still laced with his as you two walked down towards an ice cream parlour.
