Uh this is weirdly specific but some headcanons on like the izuru kamukura project but like if they chose taka (again weirdly specific i know) instead of hajime? (also i read the rules and stuff, but im slightly confused and im not sure if this is ok to ask)

The way it was framed for Taka, it seemed like something that would help many people in the future, and that was what he wanted to do. He wanted to make his family proud.

It was almost a no-brainer. Despite that, and his slight excitement for it, he didn’t tell any of his classmates. Perhaps they would be impressed with him afterward as well!

But… When he came out on the other side, he couldn’t think of much. He didn’t feel like himself, and hardly remembered his classmates at all. Izuru didn’t even want to meet them.

Now that he had all of the talents, everything, including what the previous owner of his body used to enjoy, was boring. Too easy. He didn’t have to work hard to do anything.

If Taka were still in his brain somewhere, perhaps he would regret his actions, especially as someone who once worked hard to get where he was. But Izuru simply did not care.

AU + rambly

In the side game Fuyuhiko offers to help Izuru bust out of HPA, and in the anime Hajime was friendly-ish with Natsumi and close with Chiaki, who were both in Fuyuhiko's life to varying degrees, SO

Fuyuhiko gets more power once he graduates and is allowed to run missions he orchestrates himself. The amount of surprising deaths and/or disappearances at HPA have been bothering him for years, because of His Nature and also because his puppy-crush chiaki was talking about her missing friend right before she mysteriously died, and said friend was also his sister's only friend before SHE died. And also also, like, he's supposed to have jurisdiction over organized killing, and his plan does NOT involve high school students.

He's not the only one who's wondering what goes on behind the scenes either, so he gets some help from The Detective and The Impostor (and The Hacker?) to at least get some info.

But, oh crap, he finds Chiaki's missing friend in there, looking pretty different and asleep but it's definitely him. Fuyuhiko impulsively wakes him up and de-attaches the various machines, because otherwise they gotta leave him in there and he doesn't like that. Bad idea though since that's an amnesiac emotionless killing machine! Izuru (Hajime but at the height of Izuru-ism and very freshly traumatized) busts out just fine by himself, but only because he feels like it, and he only feels like it because Fuyuhiko (and his knowledge of who Izuru used to be, as the only living person who remembers Hajime) is the most mildly almost-interesting thing to happen to him in his memory. Dragging Fuyuhiko around is something to do, at least, and marginally better than the endless surgeries and boredom. Maybe Izuru can even try to dig for some more of those unexpected sensations.

Buuuut Fuyuhiko is one of the most stubborn and emotionally repressed people ever, not exactly wading in bountiful emotions himself, and Izuru has no remorse for using force when it's beneficial. In fact, feeling bad -guilt or remorse or self-disgust- is an interesting feeling, and probably easier to reach than the nice ones....

Nagizuru

A being so bright it burns everything in its path. The lobotomy messed up his luck and now it's way more destructive, so the institution had to insolate him inside a locked building with thick walls known as "the lighthouse". This worsened his health, since he spends most of his days sedated or in bed. Always smiling, but no emotion. It is believed that anyone who interacts with him directly will be the victim of a terrible misfortune. All the doctors who were part of the surgery died one by one in strange circumstances.

Servant!hajime

Also known as the caretaker. He was the next one on the list for the Kamukura Project. He showed so much interest and willingness for this project that the institution gave him the dangerous duty of taking care of the subject and monitoring him. Because of this, he has also been the victim of several accidents from which he miraculously survived, causing blindness in one eye, a lightning strike scar on his torso and some burn marks. Despite this, he never leaves Nagizuru's side. Nobody knows if it's because he is forced to do so, or if there's a personal interest behind it.

What if Ryoma joined the Kamukura project to atone for what he did? I sadly doubt the mind erasure would worry him if he heard about it.

Ryoma knew about the risks to the project- experiment. He read the paperwork as thoroughly as he possibly could. Nobody needed to convince him to go through with it; it was all voluntary.

He thought of it as penance for everything he did before. It wouldn’t be enough, probably, but he was ready to accept however the project ended up. Good or bad results.

The experiment went off without a hitch. Ryoma had every kind of talent shoved into his body, and every semblance of his old self was left behind, including his memories.

Somehow, though, some of the guilt remained. He didn’t know what it was attached to anymore, but it was still there. Quite annoying, if he were being honest.

There was going to be a future for him, he supposed. Studied for the talents he was newly given. Evaluated for his performance, perhaps for the rest of his life. But wasn’t that a better fate?

Some arts I made for the AMMM au, I think it's very cool for Hajime being able to switch conciousness with Izuru to save more energy and stamina, sadly these two don't really get along well but they tolerate eachother since both have the same purpose in mind.

Also yes Ultimate!Madoka exsist in this au! Being in a higher plane of exsistence she observes many kinds of universes and possibility, yet unable to intervene with certain ones (Magia Record for example) which makes AMMM universe one of them too. Usually, it was often have to be someone in that universe to partake as her/her role; by sacrificing themselves for the sake of everyone and becoming a higher being to protect that universe in which she cannot interact with.

Then you get Guardian!Makoto having coffee and tea with Ultimate!Madoka as they talk about their fucked up boyfriends/girlfriend and beating some alien dealer of their own game /lh

Oh to be a Future Foundation person (or, juicier yet, an assassin disguised as a Future Foundation person) knocking on Makoto Naegi's door, not knowing he cohabitates with two ex-Remnants of Despair, and having Nagito Komaeda open the door with a polite smile.

"Oh! You're here for Makoto?" Nagito says. "That's too bad. He's spending the night elsewhere." And the assassin guy doesn't know how to respond, and something must show on his face, because while Nagito's smile doesn't disappear, it cools. "Or maybe...it's lucky he's not here."

"You don't always have to acknowledge it like that," a voice says from behind the assassin, who startles both because there's suddenly someone behind him and because that person is Izuru Kamukura!

"What?" Nagito says mildly. "It is lucky. At least if that unfastened holster means what I think it means."

Needless to say, they take care of that guy. Nagito texts Kyoko like "Just had to kill an assassin at the house; watch out for that."

Kyoko texts back like, "Well, there goes my plausible deniability. Clean up after yourselves."

Spy x Family Naegiri + Izuru Kamukura AU

Kyoko Kirigiri as the spy suddenly tasked with making a family appear out of thin air. As a young girl, her father died in the early bombings and her mother, fearing for Kyoko’s safety, sent her on a train to her estranged grandfather. Said grandfather was the leader of an intelligence agency and from then on Kyoko was trained in all things related to spying. Even after her grandfather’s death she still continued with this career, believing that it was her duty to give other people a peaceful lifestyle that she will never be able to truly understand.

Makoto Naegi as the assassin who needed to swallow his moral quandaries to look after his sister. As he has gotten older he felt like he couldn’t leave because a lot of his targets were dangerous people. The current peace is so fragile, he wants to do everything he can so that more people can have hope for the future.

But who would their telepathic child be? I know Shuichi is often depicted as a naegiri baby but I don’t think he is chaotic enough to get into the same shenanigans that Anya does. What character would purposefully cause so much chaos for their own amusement?

Izuru (Kamukura) the young telepath who is desperate for anything to escape the eternal boredom. Everyone’s thoughts are so predictable. Even going to the outside world quickly become boring for the young boy.

Izuru is definitely smarter than Anya in canon, but not as smart as he is in DR. He is good at the sciences, the technical stuff and the hard rules the language and arts, but he is so apathetic that he struggles with emotional nuances in all these subjects. Perhaps the reason why scientists thought he was a failure is because Izuru didn’t care enough about what people thought and the results of the tests.

Whether he escaped or was kicked out, Izuru survives using his telepathy. He decides to use a different name to cover his tracks, calling himself “Hajime” when other people ask. Through all this, nothing reduces his boredom and he never tries to bond with anyone. He gets adopted for his intelligence and kicked out for his creepiness 4 times.

Then one day Kyoko arrives at his orphanage, and Izuru reads the most interesting mind he has ever encountered, the mind of a spy. Surely if there are any people in the world that could keep Izuru entertained, it would be the thrilling, dangerous life of a secret agent. Izuru also supposed they have something in common since Izuru created the “Hajime” identity.

The two have a different bond than Loid and Anya initially. Kyoko and Izuru initially find a decent rapport due to their naturally stoic and analytical personalities. Their first roadblock is when Kyoko has to get Izuru to do something he is not interested in (Such as studying subjects he is not interested in or befriending kids/targets). Kyoko realises the two haven’t actually been acting like parent and child before then. Kyoko buys parenting books for research and realises that Izuru’s behaviour may be a trauma response for his past. Izuru experiences an unknown emotion having an adult not throw him out when he’s being difficult. Also, Kyoko understands Izuru more than other cuz she herself can be very detached to individual problems. For Kyoko it’s due to her upbringing and because she is usually busy focusing on the bigger national issues.

In comes Makoto who takes Yor’s role as the “emotionally intelligent parent” in the family. Izuru immediately wants this harmless-looking deadly assassin under his roof, and tries to set the two adults up. Unlike Anya who sings about she wants a mama, Izuru is probably like “Hello, my mother is a single woman who is considered attractive by many people. How would you like to snatch her up before the rest of the competition.” Complete deadpan 5 year old here. Makoto and Kyoko are very shocked, but they do end up talking and eventually settle into the arrangement they do in canon.

Here Makoto acts as a stronger emotional glue to Kyoko and Izuru as the two are too stoic to develop a proper bond on their own. Makoto is also very caring towards Izuru and tries to be supportive when he knows that Izuru struggles with emotions, either his own or other people. Izuru is a soo a bit shocked by this because before he was always demonised for supposedly having no emotions but Makoto accepts Izuru just the way he is. I think Izuru quickly becomes attached even if the boy can’t explain way, and Makoto is happy to have such a cute stepson.

As for how Makoto covers his assassin skill, unlike Yor with clumsy lies, Makoto has a “talent” for disguising attacks and assassin skills as dumb luck sometimes good sometimes bad. You know that martial art that is based on the fighter being drunk while doing it? Well Makoto is similar except it’s not drunkenness but clumsiness that Makoto uses. Partly out of practice to disguise his skills, and partly due to Makoto-brand luck, it often looks like he slipped and accidentally hit someone so hard they passed out. Or he slipped, tumbled down a hill and landed on the bad guy. Kyoko never gets suspicious because Makoto’s klutziness is so extreme it can’t be faked. Surely.

Like the original all 3 grow to become a family, even if they don’t realise it for a long while. Perhaps the character who ends up with the most change by the end is Izuru turned Hajime.
