Karadakaddi! ( Spicy Sticks )
I know that most of you haven't heard of this recipe or there are another names for it! But at our home, this recipe is just getting better and better since childhood. Simple, quick and wonderful snack for rainy days! Shall we start?

What all do we need?
2 cup Besan or gram flour.
1/4 tbsp salt
Pinch of baking soda
1/2 tbsp of chilli powder
1 tbsp of Carom seeds (Oma seeds/ Ajwin)
Water for Dough
Oil for frying

How we do it?
Take a mixing bowl, add 2 cups of Besan, 1/4 tbsp of salt, 1/2 tbsp of chilli powder, 1 tbsp of carom seeds, and pinch of baking soda and mix well.
Add water as required to the dough. The mixture will become slightly sticky. But it is normal and prepare a smooth dough.
Grease the small holed mould with some oil and stuff the dough into it.
Press ans spread the dough in hot oil forming a circle in the oil.
Flip over and fry the other side as well.
When it is golden brown, take out the snack and drain them in a kitchen paper to absorb the excess oil.
Finally, Our home recipe special Karadakaddi is ready!!
Serve hot and store the rest in air tight container.

Enhancers
Add Rice flour to the dough if you need more crispy.
Add turmeric powder for the dark yellow touch up.
Since the childhood, this is one of the quick recipes we have been preparing. It is a snacks for time pass, tea and wonderful combo with coffee during rainy days. Try then and let me know how it turned out for you!!!
