She did warn him about the experimental aetheryte. But no, he had a short window of time he could get away, AND an opportunity to go with her and see Thavnair for the first time, as well as catch up with Estinien. No way is he going to miss out on that. He doesn't have a weak stomach. He's not scared of a little nausea. It'll be worth it.

Give him about 30 minutes and some lassi and he will return to thinking it was worth it. Right now he's not so sure.

Estinien 110% insisted on meeting them at the plaza specifically so he would get to witness the disaster in person. (And to bring the lassi. But not without enjoying the spectacle first.)

Wolmeric Week 2024 - Day 3: Alternate Universe

I’ve thought for a while that Furiosa is actually a lot like Keimwyda might be if she had grown up in a far harsher world. She’s reserved and self-controlled, compassionate, and while she longs for peace and beauty more than anything, she will do what she must for those who need her. Furiosa just has no support system, and little to no room to express any softness.

I tried to give Keimwyda an appropriately short haircut here, but it made her look at best like a bad bootleg version Furiosa and not very much like herself anymore. So the canon hairdo stayed.

The connection between Aymeric and Max is far more tenuous, but boils down to a man who cannot stop caring about, getting involved with, and helping people despite himself and despite what he’s suffered—despite the world still actively wanting to use him and literally suck the life out of him.
