Cheritz's changes in staff over the lifetime of The Ssum

I wanted to write a post about this because it was the nail in the coffin convincing me that The Ssum won't get better. I really want to be optimistic, I was for the first year of the game's release. But with how hard they're fumbling June's route, and having some context by seeing the dramatic changes that happen behind the scenes, I don't have any hope for the game's future in its original concept.

So here's a big fat list of credits, comparison of them, and my own stupid commentary.

These are in the lyric booklet included in the Teo Love Bundle. Strangely enough, I'm already seeing differences between the 2018 credits and 2019. Uh oh?

These screenshots don't feature all the credits, unfortunately. I'm relying on screenshots someone else took because I'm not proactive but hindsight is 20/20.

Changes: Project is no longer managed by Heinrich Dortmann, instead by Juho Woo. Scenario team cut down to 2 people, one of which is a new name (Jooyoung Lim). Art team also cut down to 2 people. Sound is no longer resourced by Songhee Kim, but Jaeryeon Park and ROGIA. All new team of directing assistants as well, it expanded to 4 people but they're all new names. 2 fewer programmers, only one of the listed names was already working.

Here's where it somehow gets worse lol.

Changes: A lot. Directing assisted by 1 person. They were not a part of the team credited in the OP. Down to 3 programmers, only 1 being in the OP. Entirely new art team! It's up to 4 people, but all of them are new, even compared to only a few months prior. Down to 1 scenario writer pobrecita (but we're coming back to that). Since I don't have screenshots of the project assistant credits from launch, can't say anything for that, except that Gui Zhenghao is new compared to the OP but the number of staff there remained the same. Flaming Heart is gone for the BGM! He's been working with Cheritz for forever but is gone now. One person from the communication team left, so they're down to 2. That would explain why emails have been slower since October. Only 1 translator, though Cheritz is now looking to recruit new ones.

Important note:

According to Cheritz's post acknowledging their use of gAI, Sujin Ri was not involved in writing season 1 of the game, but IS the main writer for season 2. I won't make a rant about how much I hate what she's writing cuz this isn't the post for that, but it explains why season 2 is so vastly different.

The fact that only a few people (like, in the lower single digits) remain even from 2019/early 2022, let alone who's still around from 2018, is really frustrating for the game. The game started with one vision, but now it's being turned into something completely different. Even the app's functions are inconsistant between season 1 and 2 (and a little so between Harry and Teo). According to an email I got from Cheritz, season 2 takes place a few years before season 1. Just sit with that knowledge for a bit :P. It's like the current people in charge of The Ssum (*cough Sujiin Ri*) couldn't be bothered to keep the original concept in mind, let alone how the timeline would work.

This post was a long time coming, I was caught up in just how bizarre this all is and finding tons of stuff that I haven't even included in the post. Writing this has taken about 3 hours (including the time I spent on a post ONLY FOR TUMBLR TO NOT WANNA WORK PROPERLY WHEN I TRIED TO POST IT SO IT GOT DELETED) and uhhh yeah. Now I gotta wait a few years to ask former staff if their NDAs are expired yet LOL

IRRESISTIBLE CHAPTER ONE: WHY DO YOU HATE EACH OTHER SO MUCH?

The sound of heels clacking rapidly and heavily on the ground got closer and louder with every passing second. Gyuri and Minkyung looked up from their lunches to see Iseul running over to them. The second she arrived at their table, she held onto her knees and panted heavily. Gyuri couldn’t help but laugh upon the sight of her friend struggling to catch her breath.

“What took you so long?” Gyuri asked with a hint of a laugh.

“The server went down for a second… I almost cried,” Iseul managed to respond in between her deep swallows of air.

“Oh, shit. It was the latest music video, right?”

“I’m telling you, fangirls are terrifying. They have so much power,” Iseul nodded and sat down at their table, her hands trembling as she reached for Minkyung’s water when the girl offered it. “I hate whoever thought it’d be a good idea for clients to put up promotions on the company site for more fan-sign opportunities.”

“Mr. Kim came up with it,” Minkyung said cautiously.

“…I’m convinced Mr. Kim hates IT,” Iseul concluded.

Gyuri let out a tiny snort before finishing the last tomato in her bowl. She looked up to see Iseul’s teary eyes staring right at her.

“Um, yes?”

“Don’t leave me…”

“Okay, okay. We’ll stay. Go grab your food,” Minkyung ushered the girl to get up.

“We’ll?” Gyuri looked at Minkyung skeptically.

“Yes, we will. We still have plenty of time before our breaks are over.”

With a sigh, Gyuri nodded. Iseul shot up and left to go buy food from the company cafeteria. While they waited, instead of talking to each other like normal people would, Gyuri and Minkyung went right to their phones and kept themselves entertained on their phones until Iseul returned. Just as Iseul sat down, five gorgeous men clad in different colored suits walked into the cafeteria. Gyuri and Minkyung both stared at the men with sparkling eyes while Iseul, on the other hand, dug into her food. She observed her two friends skeptically before saying, “You guys are crazy. They’re our bosses. You know that.”

“That doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate the eye candy,” Minkyung responded without taking her eyes off the men.

“That’s still crazy. I don’t get the hype, and the fact that they’re called C5 is so weird.”

“Wait, do you not know why they’re called C5?” Gyuri asked.

Iseul shook her head, prompting the other two girls to launch into a full explanation to their friend who recently joined the company.

“So all five of them are the chief officers of the company. You have your CIO Mr. Kang Yeosang, CMO Mr. Choi San, CFO Mr. Jeong Yunho, COO Mr. Park Seonghwa, and CEO Mr. Kim Hongjoong. They’re all also the founders of the company,” Gyuri started. “They all also have their own nicknames that those not part of upper management call them.”

“Like what?”

“Mr. Kang is the “Happy Virus” because he is very sweet and kind and cheers everyone one, which I’m sure you know because you work in his department,” Minkyung looked at Iseul expectantly, who nodded in response. “Mr. Choi is “The Gold Standard” because he’s so detail oriented and his pitches usually bring more money into the company. Mr. Jeong is. “Mr. Cool Guy” because even when the company stocks were plunging, he was the sole person who brought it back up and higher. Mr. Park is “Cherry Blossom” because he’s an ethereal being who is so sweet and compassionate.”

“No wonder he’s head of HR,” Iseul acknowledged.

“And Mr. Kim is “Captain” because without him, this company would be a sinking ship,” Gyuri concluded.

Right at that moment, the men walked by their table. All three girls stood and bowed to greet their superiors, the five of them bowing back. Moments after they left, Minkyung and Gyuri let out deep, enamored sighs, and Iseul rolled her eyes loudly. The girls kept glancing at the men of C5 every so often as Iseul worked on finishing her lunch.

“Oh, aren’t you friends with Mr. Park, Gyu?” Iseul brought up.

“Yeah, Hwa and I go way back,” Gyuri nodded.

“Wait, seriously? I thought you were kidding,” Minkyung said with shock.

“No, I’m serious. We went to college together.”

“So is he why you have this job?”

“Are you saying I bought my way into the company?” Gyuri asked angrily and grabbed a balled up napkin and threw it straight at Iseul, the napkin bouncing off of her forehead.

“No! I meant like was he a referral, not the other thing!” Iseul cried as she shielded herself from more of Gyuri’s balled up napkins.

Gyuri calmed down then answered honestly, “Actually, I didn’t even know he worked for this company. It was a happy coincidence.”

“Aw, how cute! Do I smell an office romance?” Minkyung asked, her voice getting high with excitement, to which Gyuri and Iseul responded with the most disgusted looks on their face. “Damn, okay. You guys didn’t have to make those faces.”

“Hwa was my upperclassman in college, and now he’s like a brother to me. There is no way I’m dating him,” Gyuri responded passionately, thus ending the debate of her relationship with Mr. Park.

“Okay, I want to know. If you had to choose a guy from C5 to date, who would you choose?”

Both Minkyung and Gyuri answered immediately at the same time.

“Mr. Kang.”

“Mr. Jeong.”

“I want justification!” Iseul declared, her eyes sparkling.

“Well, I’ve had a massive crush on Mr. Kang ever since I started working here,” Gyuri explained.

“Mr. Jeong’s very attractive… I see his face at least four or five times a day. My heart swoons each time,” Minkyung admitted honestly, earning yet another eye roll from Iseul.

“Kyung I get because he’s your boss, but Gyu, you don’t see Mr. Kang, like, ever. I thought Mr. Choi would be your choice,” Iseul said mildly surprised.

“Absolutely the fuck not. Definitely not him,” Gyuri nearly gagged.

“Jesus, that’s a strong reaction…”

“No, it’s just… He’s just the most arrogant, obnoxious jerk. Like, if he was just telling me to do my work better, then it’d be fine and I wouldn’t be so mad… But he keeps shooting down all of my ideas during meetings because he thinks the client won’t like it, but then Mr. Jung lets me pitch it anyway, and the client either agrees with Mr. Choi or with me. And, if they agree with Mr. Choi, he’s always super fucking smug. If they agree with me, then he takes it out on me by making me work super fucking late to make sure the complete proposal is fucking spotless. I hate it.”

The other two girls went silent as Gyuri finished her rant. After a moment of silence, Iseul cleared her throat and said, “Alright, I’m sorry I asked…”

“Sorry. It’s just… That guy really knows how to push my buttons.”

“Well, the things you said about him just sounds like a boss doing his job. I don’t really get the anger,” Minkyung pointed out.

“You should hear the way he says it. It’s fucking annoying.”

As if on cue, C5 walked past their table again, this time on their way out of the cafeteria. The three girls stood up and bowed once again before taking their seats. Minkyung kept an eye on the men as they exited, and once they were all out of the cafeteria, she said in a hushed tone to her friends, “You know what’s crazy? Out of all the C5 guys, Mr. Choi is the most popular.”

“What the fuck?! Why?!” Gyuri said a notch too loudly.

“You don’t have to sound that shocked, Gyu. He is a part of C5,” Iseul responded quietly in an effort to get the angry girl to calm down.

“Why is he the most popular? That makes no sense to me.”

“Mr. Choi is the most mysterious out of the five, apparently. Like, no one knows anything about his personal life or interests or anything. He seems to be crazy talented and can do pretty much anything, not to mention he has amazing people and talking skills. He’s dedicated and driven and pays attention to the smallest of details not just in work but with people, too. The other day, Jinah from the IT department got the tiniest fucking hair trim, and Mr. Choi noticed and complimented her almost immediately. She was all giddy the rest of the day,” Minkyung explained in great detail.

“So he notices thing. Big deal.”

“His nickname is “The Gold Standard,” Gyu. He’s valuable and unattainable. Most of the girls in the company are obsessed with him.”

“Good lord…” Iseul rolled her eyes yet again.

“I always thought Mr. Kang or Mr. Kim was the most mysterious…” Gyuri whispered half to herself.

“Nope. It’s Mr. Choi.”

“I refuse to believe that… But fine. Whatever. Everyone loves him. Yay.”

On that sarcastic note, Gyuri got up. Minkyung followed, causing Iseul to panic. She shoved the rest of her food in her mouth and followed her friends out of the cafeteria, the three of them throwing their garbage away on their way out. Iseul chewed as quickly as she could while the three girls waited for the elevator.

“At the end of the day, none of it matters. We’re here to work, not date,” Gyuri said with determination.

“True,” Minkyung validated.

“Does that mean you’re going to give up on your crushes?” Iseul asked after managing to swallow without choking.

“Nope!” Minkyung responded cheerily.

“I’m still going to crush on him even if there’s no way in hell we’ll get together,” Gyuri added.

With a quiet ding, the elevator arrived, and the girls entered. They each pressed the button for their floor and continued to talk animatedly as the doors closed slowly.

“Oh, don’t forget, ladies. The company dinner is tonight,” Minkyung reminded.

“Fuck… I forgot… Do you think I’ll have to stay late?” Iseul sighed dramatically.

“It’s a company dinner. I’m sure Mr. Kang will drag your department to dinner,” Gyuri assured the girl.

“I hope so. I want free food and booze.”

The other two girls laughed heartily at Iseul declaration. Gyuri’s floor arrived first. She waved at the other two as she got out of the elevator and made her way back to her desk slowly. When she arrived and sat in her desk chair, she let out a massive sigh. She really didn’t want to return to work. Her current client was extremely picky— even more than his royal highness Mr. Choi San— which meant that her proposal had to be flawless if she wanted to avoid another late night at the office.

After looking over her proposal for the umpteenth time, Gyuri turned to her boss and whined, “Boss... Do you think Mr. Choi will approve of this?”

“Let me take a look,” her boss, Mr. Jung Wooyoung, said as he got up. “This is for the Ring account, right?”

“Yeah,” Gyuri nodded and leaned back so Wooyoung could look at her computer screen.

Wooyoung leaned over Gyuri’s shoulder as he looked at the proposal she had pulled up. He scrolled slowly and leaned into her screen closer, his tie falling over her shoulder. Gyuri couldn’t help but feel his tie— it was red and silk, and although she was wearing a blazer over her blouse, she could still feel how smooth it was over her shoulder and felt compelled to touch it with her fingertips.

“I think it looks great!” Wooyoung choked out and immediately leaned away, his tie slipping out of Gyuri’s fingers.

“Okay, good… If Mr. Choi rejects it, I’m going to scream.”

Unfortunately for Gyuri, that is exactly what he did, and that is exactly what happened.

“This is the exact same storyline as their previous music video! Not even a continuation, just the same story copy and pasted!” San roared as he stood up.

A couple of the people on the marketing team— including Gyuri, San, and Wooyoung— were sitting in the conference room going over Gyuri’s proposal for the Ring account and other items on the agenda. Gyuri and San were at each others’ throats, which seemed to be a normal occurrence given that everyone else at this meeting didn’t even bother trying to stop the two even when they started swearing at each other.

“Are you shitting me?! It is a continuation! The last storyline was about the relationship, and this one is about the break up!” Gyuri pointed at the screen behind her.

“Then why is the plot just covering the same things that happened in the last fucking MV? You just want to put the last one in flashback and not record anything new this time?!”

“Flashback is important! And, like I showed here, here, and here, we’d be spacing it out throughout the song, so the MV will still be the duration of the song and a little longer! We did this for the Sunrise account!”

“Listen, the fans can just go watch the old MV for flashback if they want! Get the views up that way! Redo this.”

San stood up, indicating that the meeting was over, but Gyuri wasn’t done.

“No!” Gyuri shot back, causing San to freeze in his tracks. “The fans are fans! They’ll go rewatch the whole storyline again no matter what! If we want the MV to make sense, you need to keep the flashbacks! We’re adding, not copying and pasting!”

“Go take out the flashback parts and let me know if the story is still confusing—“

“Of course it’ll be confusing without it!” Gyuri was practically screeching.

“Then redo the entire storyline! Do something where we don’t have to flashback!”

“Why are you so anti-flashback?! It’s just reusing our old footage! There’s no extra cost or anything, and it’ll fulfill the client requirements!”

San finally slammed both his hands on the table as he ended the exchange with, “I am your boss! Do what the fuck I’m telling you do to!”

With that, the meeting finally ended, and the team went back to their desks. Gyuri flung herself into her chair and immediately got back to work while uttering profanities under her breath. Her desk-clump-mate, Yoon Hana, delicately placed a lollipop on Gyuri’s desk. She immediately snatched it and stuck the lollipop in her mouth as she typed and clicked furiously.

“Gyuri, maybe you should just agree with Mr. Choi every now and then so you don’t get so riled up,” she said softly. “You don’t want to get fired now, do you?”

“If that were the case, then Gyuri would’ve been fired a long time ago,” Jeon Chanmi, another one of their coworkers, walked past with a stack of prints. “You should’ve seen them during the Fever account. They were screaming at each other for all five music videos. It got so bad that Mr. Park worked on our floor until all five of them were done.”

“Don’t we still have the Fever account?”

“Yep. The MVs were so popular that it revived that company. Even though they scream at each other like that, the videos they make go viral every time.”

“And I came up with each of those concepts,” Gyuri grumbled. “He should learn to trust my judgement by now.”

“You came up with all of those concepts after bickering with him each time. If he didn’t push your buttons, then you wouldn’t be creating what you are,” Chanmi flicked the back of Gyuri’s head.

Gyuri curled her lip in disgust and focused on her work. She hated that Chanmi was right, and she hated that San did bring out the best in her.

“Keep up the good work?” Hana said in confusion.

“Yeah,” Gyuri huffed out without even looking away from her screen.

— TWILIGHT MAKES WAVES WITH THEIR PREDEBUT SHOWCASE!

Delivering an electrifying performance at their sold-out showcase, Twilight has netizens on the edge of their seat for their debut. Filling up the 10,000-seat theatre they performed at, Twilight performed four group numbers and four unit numbers, taking breaks in between to talk to the audience, play games, and drop spoilers for the debut in 2024.

The hour-and-a-half-long showcase would start off with a dance-heavy intro titled "SIREN," where the boys would show off their performing and dancing abilities. After their intro, the boys would come back on stage an introduce themselves officially, revealing their positions as well as their ages.

"Hello, I'm Twilight's leader and lead vocalist, Kim Minkyung! Nice to meet you! Thank you all for showing us support!" Minkyung says confidently, waving to the crowd like a prince. "Nice to see everyone again. I'm Ideun and I'm Twilight's main vocalist and lead dancer," Ideun pauses with an awkward laugh, waving to the crowd. "Thank you for coming!" "I'm Tingting! Nice to meet you!" Tingting beams, waving excitedly to the crowd with a little hop out of excitement. "I'm Twilight's main vocalist and dancer. So nice to see everyone again! Thank you for having us." "Hellloooo!" Peach sings into his mic, hitting a high note that makes the rest of the group laugh and the audience laugh as well. "I'm your Peach and I'm Twilight's main dancer and lead vocalist! Let's get it!" "How's everyone doing tonight?" Sion asks, cupping a hand over his ear as he leans closer to the crowd. The crowd cheers for him, causing the man to beam, laughing with a nod. "Amazing! I'm Sion and I'm Twilight's visual, lead vocalist, and lead dancer! Let's have some fun tonight, woo!" "Hi guys! There are so many beautiful faces in the crowd. I'm so honored to be here," Ambrose says cooly, adjusting his mic with a charming smile. "I'm Ambrose, you can call me Rose, and I'm Twilight's main vocalist and lead rapper. So much love to everyone here. Thank you!" With that, he blows a kiss to the crowd, fingers forming a heart that makes the crowd go wild. "Hey, everyone! I'm Sammy!" Sammy says through a strained smile, tears in his eyes as he looks into the crowd. "I'm Sammy, and I'm glad to be back! I'm Twilight's maknae and main dancer. Thank you for waiting for me." He gives a grateful bow before turning his back towards the crowd to sniffle and wipe his eyes. Ambrose pats his back with a comforting smile, pouting at the other members, who all coo and rush over to Sammy to comfort him in a tight group hug.

The boys would go on to perform three more group songs, all revealed to the B-sides of their debut mini album. The three-unit songs performed, all of which were well received by the crowd, have not been confirmed to be on streaming platforms as of yet.

The showcase was met with glowing reviews and clips of the boys, and the performances would make their rounds around various social media platforms, enticing fans from all corners of the internet. Overall, the showcase went incredibly well for the boys, gaining them over 132k followers across all social media and leaving many excited for the new year to usher in their debut.

Ahn Soojin was born on November 7, 1998 to a chef, Ahn Jungmo, and a nurse, Kim Soeun in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She is the oldest of five daughters. In 2008, her mother and two youngest sisters were murdered by an unknown assailant that broke into their home in Gyeonggi-do while Soojin and her other two sisters helped her father close up at his restaurant. She then moved to Seoul with her remaining family; her father, and her sisters, Minkyung and Solbin.

Soojin was scouted five times by Delphi Entertainment online from her rising popularity as an ‘ulzzang’ but didn’t go to auditions until 2016 when they contacted her father. In 2016, she was a contestant on Unpretty Rapstar 3 and was a semifinalist.

In 2017, she was announced as a trainee in Delphi Entertainment’s pre-debut girl group project; GIRLISH, with nine other girls. She was well received by the public and was the second member to be revealed for GIRL TALK. She debuted in 2018 in the girl group GIRL TALK as their leader, main rapper, and visual.

Hello my loves !!! This is Esme (21+, she/her) and I'm here bringing my kiddo Seonhwa, a solo artist that has been in the industry longer than it should be normal. There are always two sides of a coin and both shine in their own special way, Seonhwa is no exception. She's complicated, I'm not even going to try and sugarcoat it, but she's great once you manage to kick down the walls she has built around her. Childhood

Famous before birth, Seonhwa is the only child of trot singer Kim Jungwon and Miss Korea 1993 Ahn Minkyung.

Her parents had a fairytale love story; they became the it couple, and they're still popular for having lasted this much and still very much in love.

Named after Princess Seonhwa of Silla, a woman known for her eternal beauty, it was quite obvious that her mother wanted her to follow the same path.

But little Seonhwa loved music ever since she was too young to understand.

She was spoiled and always got what she wanted. But in a house full of love, Seonhwa understood how important it was to be kind and thoughtful.

Her parents couldn't have more children, even if they tried. Seonhwa asked for a sibling almost every day for years, but it wasn't until she was old enough to understand why it would never happen. So all expectations were on her shoulders and they were heavy.

She never wanted to become a model, even less to join any beauty pageant.

Deciding she wanted to become a trot singer like her father, she auditioned for several entertainment companies. She was super young though, only thirteen. But she wanted it, and did what she could to get it.

They didn't want a trot singer, but she had a beautiful singing voice and was just as beautiful as her mother. It was no surprise when Majestic Records offered her a place in their roster.

Her parents were mad at first, of course. But wanted her to follow her dreams and be safe, her father contacted the Majestic CEO and made sure Seonhwa would be treated fairly.

Training Years

It wasn't as easy as she thought. It was hard work and routine; school and practice and so on, and she had to do both perfectly.

She was too young, but her sense of responsibility and need for perfection helped her. And soon she was known for being disciplined no matter what.

The company had planned to debut a girl group, but then decided that sixteen-year-old Seonhwa should debut as a soloist instead. However, she was still too young to do so. Her debut was the talk everywhere, yet it never seemed to happen.

But she worked hard and the company supported her. They took their time to prepare her so her debut didn't fail after so much noise.

Debut

Seventeen-year-old Seonhwa debuted in 2014 as Fleur. Her concept was fresh and cute, they were trying to capture the public by presenting this sweet girl. And it worked! Her debut album broke records, and everybody was enamored by this short girl that was completely dynamite on the stage.

Seonhwa loved it. The attention, the praise, everything because she had worked hard for it and she knew she deserved the hype.

But soon the pressure was too much; she had to be perfect, to be happy, to be the pretty girl no matter what happened. And not even a year in, she was already drowning.

Then she met the one who would become her rock throughout all of it, Choi Haneul.

They met in 2015, and the attraction was immediate. The problem child of Infinite, that trainee turned into staff after a terrible situation. And Majestic wasn't happy. He was everything they didn't want for her, and she gave no shits.

They fell in love like crazy, and this sweet girl was breaking every rule to be with him because she could.

She was still hardworking, she did what she was told on the stage and during practice. But Seohwa was in love.

Soon rumors hit social media and petals discussed why their Fleur was wearing a necklace with a birth flower and stone that belonged to May and it was not at all hers.

Seonhwa released Full Moon and received a lot of backlash, because this innocent girl was now bold. People complained, attacked her, and sent her hateful comments. They complained that the company was trying to change her image because she was dating.

Still, in December of 2015, she released a song she had written herself, 11:11. and it became a hit, once again. Seonhwa had found her inspiration. Her muse.

But not everything was perfect and they broke up in 2016 before she released her first Japanese mini album, VOICE.

Heartbroken, Seonhwa focused on her career, becoming even more perfectionist, not caring about anything else but being the best. And she became the best.

Seonhwa became the first idol to record most of the songs she wrote herself, and they all came from her heart, her experiences. She wasn't good at expressing her feelings, but she could sing about it.

In 2018, Seonhwa went viral along with Haneul, Misa's bodyguard now, because she was clearly recorded greeting Misa and her manager, but ignoring her bodyguard. Seonhwa was labeled as rude and difficult.

But she still was one of the best vocalists in the country, still Majestic Records' cash crow. Winning awards and breaking records left and right, Seonhwa was the queen.

Merge

Seonhwa hated Infinite Ent. for personal reasons, so being told she was joining them was her worst nightmare. She felt betrayed because she had trusted Majestic, and they were selling her off like she was nothing.

So of course she made her personal mission to make it difficult for the company to deal with her, to fight for things to be exactly her way.

She's super nice to the staff though, she's just difficult when it comes to her own music and concepts. Majestic allowed her to do as she pleased, and Infinite wants to control her, so it's war.

Over half of her team wasn't hired, but she was told they didn't want to join the company. In reality, Infinite fired them all to give her a new team that could control her, so she's not that happy.

She's still a moneymaker and they know it. They paid a lot for Majestic just to get her, and these are the consequences.

Tour

Seonhwa looked all the ways to get out of this tour, but as such a popular soloist, the public wanted to see her. So she accepted it, after a lot of negotiations just to make sure she got what she wanted. Help her poor managers.

The Seoul part of the tour was difficult because she felt so lost. But soon she relaxed thanks to her friends.

Traveling around the world has always been a dream of hers, so she's enjoying exploring new cities.

It's quite a change from everything she was used to, but she's slowly relaxing and enjoying her time.

She had been making new friends, working with the people she loves. It's actually kind of fun?? She’s just as surprised.

She has released a subunit with one of her best friends, Misa, called Queen.

She has reconnected with Haneul, she's actually happy and very much in love.

She filmed the 5th season of Being Again with TIDAL’s Soul during the Asian leg. And season 6 with him during the European leg.

Present

Seonhwa is currently living with Haneul, as she had always dreamed off.

They adopted a dog called Bomi, who is the light of her life.

I'm gonna start this saying she's a mess, but has good intentions

Workaholic and perfectionist, she doesn't know when to stop and take a break until everything's the way she wants it

She's a great trot singer, has written and recorded songs that will never see the light

She doesn't know how to work with others (help her), a soloist used to get her way and do things like she wants them.

But she wants to try !!!

What's free time? She doesn't know her

She likes being in complete control of everything, so please do something she can’t do anything about and you’ll see her freaking out

If she isn't on the stage or the studio, she's working somewhere away from everyone.

Has written many of her songs and they're her pride and joy

There's a journal full of her thoughts and songs that she carries around everywhere she goes, it's her baby. If she allows you to see it, you know she trusts you

Seo can be quite friendly and funny once she's comfortable with others

Very popular and awarded soloist, she was the star and crash cow of Majestic Records. So of course she was used to getting her way no matter what

It hurt her to be sent to Infinite Ent. and still struggles to get used to having to share, like an actual child

She's pretty down to earth tho. It's not about her feeling better than anybody else, because she doesn't. She's just used to working her way and now it's different, so she feels a bit lost.

CRYSTALLIS’ Astrid takes over Pocheon in 2 Days & 1 Night

CRYSTALLIS’ ASTRID, Baek Jiyoung, and Kim Minkyung appear as special guests for KBS’ 2 Days & 1 Night’s Super Hero Special in Pocheon.

As Astrid was introduced as a member of Team Super-Passion with Dindin and Yeon Junghoon she made her entrance in dramatic fashion including walking backward and doing crazy poses. Her high energy flustered some of the members who hadn’t met her before, but Dindin, who had filmed with Astrid on another variety show, bridged the gap between Astrid and Junghoon.

It paid off as Astrid immediately immersed herself in the games, playing hard to win. In the tie-breaking “Doomchit Memory Grow”, Astrid carried the team to victory thanks to her good memory and creative movements despite Dindin and Junghoon getting eliminated early.

CRYSTALLIS is one of LEGACY ENTERTAINMENT’s newest girl groups. The group debuted with “Fiesta” on February 22. You can watch the CF here!

[ + / - ] astrid could have gotten away with being conventionally pretty and having a bland personality, but she is also hilarious, unhinged, and chaotic in the best way. she was made for variety! three episodes with her (and baek jiyoung and kang minkyung) aren’t enough!

[ + / - ] honestly, astrid’s being so extra here that i am almost embarrassed for her. i don’t get why these shows insist on having her when she’s just so cringey and trying-hard. she’s not pretty or funny; she’s just loud and annoying. if they insist on having her, then i’ll have to find another show to watch.
