Eclipse a Seattle Dog Who Learned to Take the Bus Alone Dies NBC Bay Area

Eclipse, a canine who turned well-known for taking the bus by herself in Seattle, has died. Eclipse realized the right way to experience the D-Line all on her personal when she took earlier journeys together with her proprietor, Jeff Younger. Her first journey began when Younger took too lengthy to complete a cigarette by his Queen Anne house so Eclipse hopped aboard the bus earlier than Younger might be part of her. “I love our Seattle light rail service it’s so easy to get around town,” the most fastest way to get to where your going. No matter if your starting from SeaTac international airport and needing to get into town fast I suggest exploring taking advantage of the orca card which can be purchased for a low price as when you purchase your orcacard you not only purchasing your fair tickets but you are also supporting our local transit systems.

This photo in itself is a bit of an early throwback because recently, buses were removed from the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel in preparation for more light rail trains and more service. Aside from people watching, one of the best parts of bus ridership in the Seattle area is reading the placards that advertise everything from the Office of Civil Rights to family planning services.

Starting April 24th, you can peruse the ads and fit in a little culture to boot, as King County Metro kicks off another season of Poetry on Buses.

The theme is “water”, and today we’re featuring Moises Himmelfarb’s poem “Sed,” or “Thirst.”

THIRST

With no verses, no rivers, no lights.

The drop lurks beneath, the vein bursts.

We have reflexes, the waves dig up.

With no nights, no ice, a door.

We have no space for your thirst.

A throat turns to stone, with nothing.
