dialtown ocposting starts NOW!!!! faust's route is a concept i had for a while of an alternative ch3 route that could mirror norm's route in a way. in his route you would listen to norm's story from an outsider point of view and it would focus on destroying the mingling from the inside. overall faust is a scientist fascinated by the world before the dialup with a Slight obsession with norm since he's the only person left on earth with a functioning fleshhead. some more faust facts + fleshhead/mask closeups + bonus doodles under the cut!

faust is the scientist who both made and 'installed' mingus' cat head. she keeps him around to perform inhumane experiments for her & for cat head maintenance. also he can be. kind of terrifying sometimes so she likes using him to intimidate other members of the mingling into listening to her

faust is Always cheerful & if he had a mouth he would always have a smile on his face. he's just a friendly sillyguy!! but to the point where it becomes weird & unsettling

he used to be in a swing band but he retired to fully focus on his mad scientist career. he can still swing dance incredibly well though

his route focuses on tracking down and contacting norm while trying to hide everything from mingus. he needs norm to serve as a reference for his fleshhead in order to finish it

mingus doesn't know about his. 'experiment'. if she did, he would've gotten exiled a long time ago. for now, he uses the money & resources needed for cat head maintenance to make his fleshhead in secret

the head itself doesn't get completed until sometime after the events of ch3. he performs the head change on himself while fully conscious, in a true crown-like fashion

his relationship with norm is. slightly homoerotic. it's implied these two got to know each other before norm was exiled but it's never clarified what is actually between them. faust's dialogue sometimes vaguely sounds like flirting, but in a "old friend, i just HAVE to have you dismembered on my operating table!" way

faust makes a cameo in norm's route, taking part in the mingling's meetings and being an alternative character the player can choose to send to the funfair instead of god. during the meeting, faust offers that he'll help the duo get to mingus if norm agrees to become his test subject. norm gets Fucking Mad and ready to shoot him and after a bit of back and forth they agree that faust will tell them where the eggs are if he gets to have One peek at norm's flesh head. later

after ch3, norm and faust Kind Of hate each other but eventually realize they're the only two competent people working for mingus and are forced to Bond because of that. & eventually become the only Two people on earth with human fleshheads. they might even be gay. who knows

faust is trans of gender :] he performed all gender affirming surgeries on himself like a true mad scientist. he also performed numerous other experiments on himself and has a lot of scars from that

phoenix moment.. my oldest [& probably favorite] dialtown oc is finally real. please love and appreciate him or i will cry so loud

phoenix is romance repulsed, so you don't get to actually Date date him in its route. you still get to spend some quality gay time together though :]

you unlock his route by asking gabby to take you to the funfair with a phone head. if your head is a typewriter, the interaction goes like in canon, but if it's a phone, she tells you that she can't take you, but might know someone who needs the company & calls phoenix over. after that, asking him out to the funfair locks you into his route

the route is about helping it navigate being romance repulsed on valentine's day and get over a heartbreak it recently experienced. also committing crimes and getting lost in the woods looking for unicorns. there's also a big scene of breaking into an abandoned building and having an emotional Talk on the roof to make phoenix open up about his emotions at least a Little. after that the two of you go steal a motorcycle and the route ends <3

phoenix is Really into diy, he made all the patches on his jacket & attached the spikes himself. also spray painted the baseball bat to make it Pink and added nails. it actually always keeps the bat in the trunk of its car because "you never know". he also always carries a pocket knife with him. though it mostly uses it to carve things on trees rather than stab people with it

phoenix considers himself a horse girl, but his actual knowledge of horses is very. debatable. in its route you visit the stables its friend works at and both the friend and the owner don't hide the fact that it internalized a lot of false information from watching too many horse movies and is too stubborn to unlearn it. and that's why no one actually trusts him with a horse

phoenix has like a gay thing going on with a couple of my friends' ocs and it's very silly. guy gets bitches i fucking guess. [said ocs are @transgingi 's jackson bc phoenix has awful taste and @mnyehlike 's ace because phoenix can sometimes have slightly less awful taste]

phoenix swears a lot but he's also polish so that's kind of a given. it first arrived to dialtown when it was 19 and just kind of. stayed there since then. never came back to europe and doesn't plan to

his head is a speaker and he can make noises and play music and imitate different voices with it. it can also turn up the volume really loud to yell at little billy when he screeches through his megaphone. when a child screams at you scream louder to assert dominance

phoenix has a cat named pablo [yes after the off cat] and he's the meanest most awful bitey little creature this earth has ever seen but phoenix loves him so so much. it's his ugly little child and he's only aggressive because he's just like his papa

behold. lanternhead dilf finally has a color ref. i love poppy, he's probably my most developed character that i put the biggest amount of love into making.. he is truly the man ever

poppy is such a gentleman who's a fancy lady.. absolutely the type to kiss someone's hand as a greeting. he's very polite, always referring to people as miss/mister/etc [lastname] unless he's 100% sure they're fine with him being on a first name basis with them

he's a genuinely talented actor. the stage is his element, he's got a very clear and resonant stage voice and his acting is very expressive. he's got a lot of experience from his younger days from being cast as the hotheaded protagonist, but as he got older he started to get the evil older family member role more often. he absolutely adores it, he loves pretending to be evil and can pull it off perfectly

offstage he's. a complete mess. he struggles with general anxiety and basic self care, tends to overwork himself and put others before him to the point of neglecting himself. he struggles with insomnia due to his anxiety being Loud at night which lead to a caffeine addiction which only makes his anxiety worse

poppy tends to take a Lot of long walks in the middle of nowhere. being around nature is healing to him and helps him calm himself down a little. but he genuinely tends to unexpectedly disappear for hours at a time with no way to contact him. very often in the middle of the night

poppy is extremely lonely. he spent so much of his life travelling and never got the chance to actually enter a close and intimate relationship. he's a genuinely kind and sweet man so it's not hard for him to make friends, but it's a lot harder to turn those friendships into close meaningful relationships. his only dream is to find someone to love and settle down, but he believes he lost his chance to do so a long time ago and that it's too late for him to find someone now

his route is about helping him take care of himself and not be so hard on himself. making him realize that he's allowed to take up space and say 'no' to people. also letting him know that it's not too late for him to find love and understanding and intimacy and that he shouldn't give up on that yet

poppy has a very. complicated relationship with romance, he doesn't seek romantic relationships personally but he doesn't have a problem with them and will enter one if asked. but he wouldn't thrive in a romantic relationship and he Knows it. but it's not like he's going to say no

poppy adores useless trinkets of all sorts. he's a regular at the local antique store, handmade toy store and oddity shop. if it takes up space and doesn't do anything he will purchase it immediately

poppy tends to compliment people a lot, he loves seeing them happy and will try to do a lot of nice gestures if he likes someone [making sure they're taking care of themselves, getting them free theatre tickets, asking them to spend time with him, etc.] but if he's the one who's getting complimented he will Melt and become all bashful and flustered Every Time. you could bring him flowers after every performance and he will thank you one thousand times and tell you you shouldn't have every single time. he just thinks that someone taking the time to do/say something nice to him is such a sweet and lovely gesture and he appreciates it so much

he loves fireflies. his favorite activity is going to the park in the middle of the night and watching them for hours

he's got a wonderful singing voice. it's very deep and smooth and while very loud onstage it can also be very soft in private. legends say that him singing people to sleep actually works

her full name is kitty calloway & she's a swing performer, a defense lawyer & a long time friend of faust [they have known each other for like 30 years]. i was planning to make her a dateable but ended up deciding not to bc she doesn't need to be fixed through a gingi route. mingus is her client Constantly bc kitty is simply really good at what she does and has won a lot of cases for her. kitty is a very energetic and friendly person, she loves people, she's like 6'10" and an absolute bimbo. which leads to people being manhandled by her A Lot, especially faust. she's very silly, loud and has no concept of personal space but she is simply so niceys. she would make a cameo in faust's route at some point and be a townie you could meet before getting locked onto a route ! also she's 51 and still doing wild shit onstage she will live forever simply because she says so. her head is a vintage microphone !!

everytime i see this little axeheaded freak on my dash im utterly delighted. big rodion fan rven if i dont know much about him (would love to know more)

thank you <3 i hate him so much it's unreal yet he's my EVERYTHING. i don't even know what i could tell you abt him [there's like. basic info on his art fight page] because like. he has surprisingly little going on despite how much i think about him all the time. he's just charlie's horrible little lapdog henchman. he died once but got better and then he died and got better a bunch more times. he has 0 friends. 0 game. accidentally became a father figure to 2 people. he's 5 feet tall and his head made more holes in the various surfaces of the morgue than anything else ever. in his whole life he hasn't read crime & punishment ONCE but he DID read it after his first death and then used the margins as his personal diary to document his gradual descent into madness caused by dying and being forcefully revived again. he died a virgin. he's rodion!
