Deception
Hello hello again! This is for @fma-angst-week and their day 6- Deception. Warnings: vulgar language (sorry), guns, and implied death. I hope you all enjoy!
Envy loved the power they possessed. Father had chosen a fine thing to gift them with. Sure, Lust had her extending, clawed fingers, Gluttony was part of a corrupted portal, Wrath was given superhuman reflexes, Greed flaunted his impenetrable armor, Pride held power over the shadows, and Sloth obtained strength beyond comprehension. But none of their powers quite matched up to Envy’s. With their unique talent and gift, the whole world was their playground, and every pathetic weakling of a human was their toy.
A favorite of theirs was probably playing the role of Father Cornello. That stupid, haughty bastard had to be cut out of the picture, too many loose strings left uncut. And having Envy there, playing as him, boy was that a real treat. All of those useless humans, ripping into one another (quite literally, actually), screaming obscenities, killing left and right in a wild rage. It was like Christmas decided to come early this year. Or Hannukah. Or whatever it was humans celebrated. Heck, did it even matter, really? They’d all been so divided over whether “Father Cornello” was telling the truth that Envy, Lust, and Gluttony didn’t even have to lift a finger to start the bloodshed. As satisfying as it was, Envy couldn’t help feeling a slight bit of disappointment in the lack of action they were partaking in. Still, all of that was pretty fun. Especially getting a preview show on Gluttony getting a good meal out of Cornello. He sure seemed like an arrogant piece of shit.
Speaking of which, that pipsqueak of a runt fit the description pretty well too, and he was the reason Envy even had to step in at all for Reole. It was a shame he made such a good candidate. Envy would’ve loved to watch the little brat writhe in their grasp as they slowly choked the life out of him. Or maybe crush his chest leisurely beneath their foot, hearing his pitiful screams grow quieter and more desperate as he ran out of air. Well, it didn’t much matter now since Father had said to keep him “alive”. Alive never meant “in one piece” though, and it wasn’t like the kid had all his limbs anyway, so what was the harm in beating him up every once in a while? It sure made Envy’s day at least.
While the kid was an annoying pest at best, that shitty Colonel he was working for was a real nuisance. The idiot kept sticking his nose into things that it didn’t belong in, forcing them to be flexible and evade his insistent digging before he found something important and told people about it. Honestly, in Envy's opinion, the best way to stop a snitch was to kill them before they could snitch about it.  The problem though was that Father had said he had to be off limits too, which truly and completely sucked ass. That didn’t mean Envy couldn’t make him suffer in the most excruciating way possible. Second most excruciating at least. Envy still thought it’d be worse to track down the Lieutenant Colonel that always stuck around by his side and kill her instead, but that other guy would do fine, they guessed.
And, Envy found, this human may be their new favorite toy.
Apparently, this new idiot had gotten his hands on some pretty important information that was key to Father’s plans. One peep out of this guy and the whole thing could blow up in their faces. It was bad enough the pipsqueak was on their tales too, with that Colonel right behind him. It was decided that they’d have to kill two birds with one stone: silence the snoop and throw the Colonel a different bone to chew on. That was when Envy was called up from Reole to have a little fun outside of the mundane massacre.
They found their toy standing in a phone booth, looking so desperate and frustrated. Envy had to silence their chuckles of glee as they shifted behind a tree only a few meters away. Wrath had given them a picture of the Second Lieutenant they were supposed to shift into. She was a typical human woman with a standard build and face. Nothing much to remember about except maybe her hair. As soon as Wrath had given them the picture they’d tossed it over their shoulder. Humans were so easy to fool they wouldn’t even have to get every detail right. Someone would tie two-and-two together and voila, problem solved.
Envy crept out from behind their tree, fingering the pistol in their hands. It was a foreign object, they preferred to use their own hands and strength to take down enemies, but this Second Lieutenant wasn’t particularly strong and her main weapon of choice was a firearm. So, to make it more believable for all those gullible humans, a gun had to be used. They came up silently behind the nosey man, still snapping at the phone. Envy only let their presence be known by clicking the hammer into place on the pistol.
“Sir, please.” Envy coated their voice into a smooth, feminine tone. “I’m going to have to ask you to step away from the receiver.” Wrath had also provided a recording for Envy to listen to. As annoying as it was, humans could identify each other better by the sound of their voice than their actual faces. So this one took longer than the photo, but Envy had a natural talent for this. It didn’t take long before they had her voice down to the last syllable.
The Lieutenant Colonel slowly turned his head, stiffer than a board. His eyes were wide and wild, the look of a man who knew he’d have to fight for his life. Envy had to suppress the urge to laugh at the fear dripping from him.
“You-” he whispered, hoarse. “You look just like...” A crazed grin cracked over his face and the wildness intensified in his eyes. “But you’re not, are you?”
“Sir?” Envy faked the confusion, but the snide undertone couldn’t be kept out of their voice. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m Second Lieutenant Ross. I think you may have lost too much blood-”
“Oh cut the crap already,” the Lieutenant Colonel growled. “Second Lieutenant Ross has a mole under her left eye.” Envy flinched, eyes snapping wide. Shit, did she? They guessed they could have taken a closer look at the picture, but honestly, this annoying human probably just had a keener eye compared to the rest of them. Didn’t Wrath say he worked in some kind of intelligence or something? Must come with the job. Well, since the gig was up, might as well have a little fun while they were at it.
“Well, well, aren’t you an observant one.” Envy slipped back into the coarser tone they had, smirking. “I can’t believe I forgot all about it.” They tapped a finger to their cheek, the mole appearing in a flash of red lightning. “There, is that better?” The man gasped and turned back around, gently placing the phone on top of the receiver.
“Please, tell me I’m hallucinating,” he begged to the empty air. “This can’t be happening. It’s impossible.” Envy chuckled, shifting their foot for a better stance, but something crinkled beneath it. They looked down, finding a black and white picture showcasing the Lieutenant Colonel, an adult woman, and a little girl. Oh, this just brought on a whole new level of fun.
“You’re pretty smart for a human, Lieutenant Colonel,” Envy praised, already beginning to shift into a new form. “Have you ever considered that such a virtue would turn into your greatest demise?” The man gave a hollow chuckle.
“Oh, come on. Don’t you have a heart?” he teased, fear still leaving him in a tantalizing reek. “I’ve got a wonderful wife and daughter waiting for me to get home. The last thing I could ever do to them is die.” With impressive speed, he whipped around, a throwing knife glinting in his hand, pulled back in an attempt to throw.
Too bad humans were so easy to manipulate. Envy had him pinned right where they wanted them. If he did have a wife and kid, then they had picked the perfect form to copy.
Envy stood in front of him, looking for every bit like the woman in the picture. Maybe the coloring wasn’t right for the eyes or the clothes, but it was close enough apparently, given the Lieutenant Colonel’s reaction.
He was frozen, hesitating, and weak-willed. It was obvious that the woman standing before him wasn’t really his wife, but that strange, pathetic human mind couldn’t seem to shake him out of his stupor. He only stared at them. Envy laughed.
“You should see the look on your face,” they smirked. “You look so surprised, it’s hilarious!” They couldn’t change their voice, they’d never heard this woman talk before. Surely that would have snapped him out of it and make him lash out, but he still didn’t. He was trembling, fighting a mental battle Envy would have loved to see happen in reality. It must be so much fun to watch, someone fighting themselves. His breaths were coming in stuttering gasps and the fear had grown into an atmosphere, filling up the entire phone booth.
“Wh-what the hell are-?” The bang of a pistol firing silenced his question. He fell back, betrayal and surprise coming across his face in pained waves. Envy watched him collapse, making sure the woman’s face remained plastered there. Oh, Envy chuckled, that pitiful expression. They were going to savor that look for a long time.
Well, there’s that. Another retelling from a different character’s point of view. This prompt was a bit trickier for me because I couldn’t really think of anything that wouldn’t have already been done or was super cliche, so this was my knock-off version. Well, I hope you guys enjoyed it and thanks for reading it!

Some 2019 movies that were...fine.
Tumblr media
I watch a lot of movies every year and I try my best to make time to review all of them, not just because I like to write and to keep my blog running with relevant content but because it’s also just good practice.
I need to find creative ways to express myself and dissecting all the ways a movie does and doesn’t work is a great mental exercise for me. The great movies can be all about the complex writing highlighting the directorial shot design and thematic storytelling and vice versa while the bad films can be an autopsy of what exactly killed the whole production.
But there are some movies I just don’t get around to saying much of anything about because well…they evoke no strong feelings bad or good for me after watching them. They’re…fine for a lack of a better word and there’s nothing wrong with that; I’ve watched a ton of ok films that I forget about within days and I’m still pretty happy I got to see them.
I did want to talk a little about the ones I saw this year though because while I had no strong feelings about them I did have a few thoughts and I feel they are worth mentioning here. So, without further ado some “fine” films of 2019:
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part
Tumblr media
The first “Lego Movie” was a delightful smash hit back in 2014. A comedic meta-commentary on pop culture, Legos, and consumerism while a thoughtful look at family and imagination, the movie was better than it had any right to be and helped kickstart two more Lego film spinoffs before its eventual 2019 sequel.
Anchored again by its star-studded cast there’s a lot of good humor once again in this film and it’s a fun family comedy from start to finish. The thing is it doesn’t say anything particularly new and feels like a rehash of much of the same themes and closer to a “Direct to DVD” sequel in terms of imagination.
There’s a by the numbers feel to the plot compared to the more organically creative ideas that went into the first movie and it's just not as fun of a ride this time around. This said it’s still a fun one and kids and families alike more than likely will and have enjoyed it.
All in all, not a bad movie and worth a watch if you liked the first, perhaps on a long flight back from Honolulu like I did this summer.
 Shazam!
Tumblr media
I love Shazam. I think he’s one of the most fun characters in the DC superhero gallery and a character more than worthy of a big-screen film. He finally got one back in April 2019 and it’s frankly, a perfect take on a classic comic book character fit for the whole family to enjoy.
So why was it just fine for me?
Well, while I do like Shazam and his movie quite a bit there really isn’t a whole lot there beyond it being just that. It’s a superhero film that doesn’t take itself too seriously and the story, for the most part, doesn’t do so either with nothing truly profound to say. There’s a nice found family theme going on in it and the cast of child actors are shockingly great and when they all (SPOILER) eventually transform into their adult counterparts they play up their silly child-like demeanor perfectly. Zachary Levi is of course perfect but it’s Jack Dylan-Grazer who steals the show as Billy Batson’s foster brother delivering plenty of great quips and good humor throughout. But again, there’s not much beyond that than just being a fun superhero romp.
This is a great movie to introduce small children to the genre of superheroes and if I had kids this would definitely be a movie I would take them to see. I’m sure children of all ages probably enjoyed the hell out of it and though it’s no “Dark Knight” or “Endgame,” of course, that’s apples to oranges and frankly who cares? It did what it was supposed to do, which was deliver a nice friendly alternative to the brooding darker superhero takes of Hollywood and frankly I’m more than interested in watching more of Shazam in the future.
 John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum
Tumblr media
The first two “John Wick” films are, for the most part, perfect action shoot’em ups. Stylish, creatively violent, and a perfect antithesis to the lazy, unimaginative, explosive-heavy movies that Hollywood normally churns out, the “John Wick” films are the smooth glass of chardonnay to other actions movie jitter-inducing Rockstar energy drink style of film-making.
Chapter 3 is still several notches higher than the average Hollywood action flick and Keanu Reeves is still delightfully dry and deadpan as the hyper-focused killer that is John Wick but as far as the bar set by the first two films “Parabellum” is a few steps below the standard they set.
For one, it’s more or less the same story as the last one. Wick breaks some law set by the underworld of crime and now every assassin, hitman/woman, thug, etc is out to kill him. There are still some fun as hell choreographed gun-kata sequences in this film and plenty of gnarly deaths but the story ultimately doesn’t advance much. Wick films aren’t known for their compelling narratives of course but Chapter 2 at least expanded upon what the first film started; Chapter 3 is content to keep much of the story arcs where they were before only seeming to go a new direction at the very, very end.
This said it’s still a fun movie and a worthy alternative to much of the action schlock Hollywood normally churns out but as far as a John Wick film goes it’s disappointing.
 Always be my Maybe
Tumblr media
Ali Wong has been on a comedic tear for a few years now. Her two Netflix stand-up specials are great where she talks about the realities of pregnancy, being Asian American, and of course “trappin’ his ass!” and she has even more on the way.
The “Fresh off the Boat” writer is quickly becoming more and more mainstream and her first major starring role came this summer in the form of Netflix’s “Always be my Maybe” alongside the highly underappreciated Randall Park. “Always be my Maybe” is a perfectly fine romantic comedy that fans of the genre will surely enjoy, with enough of a good sense of humor to keep even those who aren’t entertained from start to finish. Keanu Reeves’ cameo as an overly eccentric version of himself is of course the best part of the movie and worth the stream on that alone but the movie doesn’t lend much of anything truly memorable beyond that.
It’s a fairly by the numbers rom-com and offers few real surprises.
This said it does continue Hollywood’s new and long overdue upward trend of Asian American representation and certainly helped moved the needle in the right direction to make critical darlings such as “The Farewell” possible. In the past, a movie like this would need to be extraordinarily good to make Asian America feel relevant but if anything its greatest accomplishment is that it shows that Asian American can have a perfectly “fine,” average romantic comedy like any other white centric film in the genre before it and for that I’m grateful.
Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw
Tumblr media
When the trailers came out for this I was really hoping this would be the kind of fun, over the top bad that films like “XXX” and other “Fast & Furious” films in the cool cars, hot chicks, and guns genre have been about for decades but instead, I got a mildly entertaining, decent dose of macho escapism for two hours with only some fun bad moments.
Many have discussed before how “The Rock” is in dire need of having his charismatic skills used alongside more talented directors and a film like this perfectly encapsulates how he has limited himself to these boring, one-dimensional, macho, stoic types over and over again. Jason Statham isn’t much better and frankly an actor who should do comedy more often as his early Guy Ritchie roles showed the guy can do a lot more than just scowl and throw some fancy martial arts at the screen over and over again.
My biggest problem though is the movie doesn’t go nearly far enough in being ridiculous and takes itself just seriously enough to make it a fairly mundane and uneventful action flick instead of being ridiculous, over the top schlock as it should be. This is a movie that features shirtless Samoans doing the Haka before fighting black suited, well-armed mercenaries using war clubs and yet still isn’t nearly as crazy as it should be.
This all said, it’s another “fine” movie for what it is and a decent escape from the doldrums of work life that you can turn your brain off to on a Friday night. You could do waaay worse than “Hobbs & Shaw” even if you’re only interested in the “so bad it’s good” camp of the genre but man, this could have been much more fun in the worst way.
 Uncut Gems
Tumblr media
This will probably be my most controversial choice on this list and perhaps it was my somewhat bloated expectations going in or maybe I’m just not too big of a fan of the “owe the mob money” genre but I just didn’t get a lot out of watching this movie.
For one there is not so much dialogue in this movie as there is just YELLING! So. Much. YELLING! Every line seems to be screeched at one another with a couple hundred expletives for good measure added for extra edge and its rather grating. A lot was made about it being a bareknuckle thriller that holds your captivation from start to finish but honestly, the best parts, for me at least, were when they slowed down and the characters spoke plainly without screaming at one another.
The film needed more moments where the story was allowed to stew and we got the characters to reflect on everything. These moments in the movie are more uncomfortable (in a good way) than the violence that chases the main characters around throughout the story. It just sprints from start to finish giving very little time to really understand the psyche behind Sandler’s character beyond he’s a fuck up who can’t stop making one more horrible mistake.
This said Sandler really is pretty sharp in this movie and showcases a bit of range that he’s been capable of for more than a while and the music in the film is great and plays greatly alongside each scene. A stylish 80s techno beat that highlights the criminal opulence of what’s going on around the characters, it’s almost hypnotic at times. The cinematography highlights this well with a great use of neon light and colors that make each scene truly pop in the best way.
It’s not a bad movie despite my issues, Sandler is, at worst, deserving of an acting nomination for this role and worth a watch if you get a chance to see it but “Best Picture” material as some viewers have stated? I don’t know about that.
So, there you have it some…fine movies of 2019 that are perfectly passable and worth at least one watch if you happen to enjoy any of these various genres. I think as audience members and people of an increasingly divisive society we like to see things in only two categories; very good or very bad. Explosive arguments seem to ensue anytime someone expresses an opinion that doesn’t fit neatly on one end of the spectrum or the other and it’s a shame because our digestion of art should be a lot more diverse than it being simply binary.
This isn’t to say you should be a centrist on everything or that every middling opinion is a good take (it definitely isn’t) but be open to the idea that some people are just not going to feel super strong about one thing or another sometimes.
Just because someone thinks a film you loved is just “ok” doesn’t mean they have no taste and certainly if someone thinks a movie you hated is “not that bad” doesn’t mean they have no standards either. Sometimes our pop culture yields no strong reactions and that’s ok. Fans, film-goers, and general people alike just need to be more ok with that because at the end of the day it’s not that big of a deal.
TL:DR be an adult. Just liking or being apathetic about a movie is fine and you should be fine with others feeling that way too.
 Happy New Year, y’all!

GDC fun!
So thanks to the help of my friend @affectos we came up with a great story that I hope you all will like. Please let me know what you think, and reblog to get this story around.
“Oh, M Gee I can’t believe you’re going through with this.” Said Hana trying her hardest not to laugh at Robert in his Sly Cooper outfit.
“I can’t believe you lost another bet with Sombra you know she cheats every time.” Genji says as he holds on to Roberts clothes.
“I can’t believe you two of all people wanted to come with me.” Robert says as he removes his pants and underwear revealing is cock and balls.
The trio make their way to the convention center door bracing for the laughter that is coming Roberts way. Genji takes a look at Robert one last time “you sure you want to do this?
Genji asks "You could wolf out, possibly hide your junk a bit more than normal.”
Before Robert can respond Hana blurts out “Sombra told him that he is not allow to wolf out he needs to be human.”
"Then...the tail you're sporting?" Genji asked, peeking behind him
“That’s the only thing she says that I can have.” Robert says as he pets his own tail to help him relax.
"For a second, I thought you were wearing a-" Genji stops himself, remembering that Hana was present
“You guys know I’m not a child right!” Hana says annoyed that they still treat her like a kid.
Genji straighten up and puts on his adult voice, "Not until you're eighteen Hana!"
“I'M 19 GENJI!”
Genji straighten up and puts on his adult voice, "Okay Hana, what do you think I was going to say?"
"Hey guys come on I don’t need you guys to embarrass me here too" says Robert as he tries to calm everyone down.
"I just want to feel more comfortable knowing that Hana can handle this." Genji explained, "I wasn't a huge fan of her having to see this."
“Of course, I can handle it. Did you guys forget who helps McCree on his drunk nights when you are gone.” Hana says.
“I thought it was Hanzo!” says Robert
Genji sighs, "Well, let's hope that Sombra's special pass for you works..." he pointed to the special badge on Robert GDC pass that said 'cosplayer'
“I hope so too” Robert says has he starts to shake from being so nervous. As they enter, several people give them looks, as they are the oddest group to enter the convention hall yet: a top-ranked StarCraft player, a cyborg ninja, and... a bottomless cosplayer?  A few people took a few pics with their phones.
Eventually a guard comes up and asks to see their passes.  Upon taking note, the guard lets them pass, satisfied by the 'cosplayer' badge on Robert.
“Thankfully that guard let us through with no problem. Now hopefully we won’t have any problems” Robert says trying to relax from the anxiety he has.
"As long as you manage to keep your staff down." Hana snickers, giving his ass a quick swat, "How long did Sombra say you had to wear this?"
“For 3 hours. Tops.” Robert says looking around trying to ignore all the people taking pictures.
"Do you really think you can stay soft for that long?" Genji asked as they headed for the escalator that headed down into expo floor
“As long as McCree is not here then I will be just fine.” Robert says nervously hoping everything just goes smoothly or them.
Genji looks at them, "So, where do you want to go first Hana?  You know the place the best."
Hana smiles and leads them into the expo floor, heading for the latest in full-body controllers
As they reach the floor a familiar voice is heard.
"Well now darlin’ you lose another bet with Sombra again?" Robert turns around to see McCree sanding behind him.
Genji chuckles, "So much or not having a second cane...Hana, why don't you tell me about these rigs over here?"
"But I want to see Robert lose his mind!" Hana says trying to watch Robert talk to McCree.
Genji whispers, "We can watch from over here, we don't want him trying to lean on us for help, now do we?"
Hana gasp "good point"
Robert looks at his boyfriend McCree dressed as a security guard.
"Hey hun what are you doing here."
"Bit of side work," he smiles, "Sunshine, good people, and lots of great food, how could I say no?"  He gives him a look over, "So, you're the 'special exception' were filled in on about this week."
“Ya that’s me but it wont be for long I promise.” Robert says as he begins to pet his tail again.
McCree smirks, "Says who?  Last I checked, you aint exactly carrying any pants."
“Genji has them in his bag. Usually I’m ok with being naked but here is just nerve wrecking.” Robert says as he looks around for Genji and Hana.
"You're right, you're the star of the show." he chuckles, "People been snapping pics of you the whole time.  I hope that you can keep it down for your sake.  Might have to detain you if I catch you trying to get off on the convention floor."
“I just want to make through these 3 hours quickly. The hardest part is trying not to have a hard on.” Robert says as he tries to cover his semi had cock.
"Oh you're allowed to."  McCree smiles, "No one gonna stop you if you get hard on the convention floor, just expect a lot of attention." Robert turns around trying to hide that his face is red.
He smacks Robert's ass hard, "So, how about I give you a personal tour?"
“Umm ok where do we go.” Robert says as he Grabs McCree’s arm and they begin to walk through the convention. McCree leads Robert into an unused lecture hall.
“Well if I wasn’t mistaken the convention is behind us.” Robert says as he starts to relax.
"And I wanna make sure that your less likely to get hard in front of everyone..."McCree says he start to undo his pants
As Robert begins to stroke his cock watching McCree undress “And in the mean time we are going to have some fun.”
McCree nods and pulls his hardening cock out, "Looks like I caught myself a thief...wonder what I should do with him?"
Robert pulls in McCree "You can pound me like the bad boy I am!"
"I guess you leavin' me no choice then." he picks up Robert and leans him against the wall as he goes to push against his exposed hole
“Oh, Ya fuck my ass McCree, fuck it hard.” Robert says as he pulls in McCree in and begins to kiss him passionately. McCree begins to undress Robert as they kiss and hold each other. McCree works his way down to Roberts hard cock and licks the tip of Roberts cock. Robert begins to moan each time McCree strokes Roberts cock with his tongue. McCree begins to suck on Roberts uncut cock causing him to moan louder and louder. Roberts then hears footsteps by the door, and before he can get McCree to get up Ernesto walks in the door.
“Hola mi amigos! Looks like you guys are having some hot fun.” Ernesto says watching McCree continue to suck Robert cock.
“Ernesto what are you doing here? I thought you were at the base getting ready for a concert.” Robert says trying not to moan.
“My concert is here did you not see the posters showing me and Lucio.” Ernesto says as he begins to rub on his semi hard cock.
McCree stops sucking on Roberts cock and looks at Ernesto rubbing is bulge. “Well now it looks like someone wants to join us.”
“You bet cowboy!” Ernesto unbuttons his pants showing hard cock. Ernesto stands next to Robert and begins kiss Robert on the neck. McCree begins to suck on both Ernesto then Roberts cock causing them both to moan in each other’s mouth. After a few minutes, Ernesto stands McCree up and the Three begin to kiss each other on the neck sucking a nip or two. Robert gets on to his knees and begins to suck on McCree’s cock.
“Damn Robert, I want to fuck that ass so hard.” Ernesto says as he watches Robert take McCree cock into his mouth.
Robert looks at Ernesto and says “Why don’t you come and get some of this hot piece of ass than.”
Ernesto moves behind Robert and stands him up to bend him over. Ernesto begins to slide is cock into Robert ass and before Robert can moan McCree slides his cock into Roberts mouth. Both men thrust their cocks into Robert and after a few minutes Ernesto starts to moan louder.
“Oh, shit I’m going to cum, AGH SHIT!” Ernesto unloads right into Roberts ass feeling his whole so much that his ass begins to drip cum. At that moment, McCree begins to moan load as well “Oh Fuck darlin I’m going to...” and before he could finish McCree unloads a massive load on to Roberts face. Robert lick up every drop of cum off McCrees cock. Robert Stands up and begins to kiss his boyfriend, cum smearing onto McCree’s face as well.
“So, are you guys going to leave me hanging here or are you going to take this load?” Robert says as he strokes his cock waiting for someone to take his load. McCree gets on his knees and waits to take his load. Ernesto grabs Robert from behind and strokes his cock and kisses Roberts neck, Robert can’t take it anymore and unleashes a massive load on to McCree’s face. McCree sucks every drop of cum off Roberts cock to finish him off.
“wow Gracias amigos I really need that especially before a show.” Ernesto says as he slips back on is pants.
“Anyway, me DVA and Genji can get back stage with you?” Robert ask as he makes is outfit is nice and clean.
Ernesto looks at Robert with a devious smile and says “Sure, you can if you stay pant less during the entire show.”
“Awwww man!” Robert moans as he makes his way back to the convention to find Hana and Genji.

Spirited Away
Tumblr media
Isekai has become kind of a bad word in the anime culture. I find this highly dubious because there are some excellent shows that feature the whole “In another world” motif. SAO kind of killed the entire genre with it’s ridiculous Weeb popularity, causing the market to be overly saturated, but even so, there are a few gems. Before everyone became aware of it’s cash-grabby nature, isekai was more a niche genre, producing great content, not just anime. Alice in Wonderland and Coraline are definite Isekai stories. Harry Potter is essentially an Isekai series. A kid, born with a special nature, get’s whisked away to a world full of magic and shenanignas? How much more Isekai can you get?
Kingdom Hearts is kind of an Isekai game franchise and it’s popular the world over. There’s a show airing stateside call Reveries that is getting pretty legit ratings and it’s basically a live action, A-spec, isekai series. There’s a plethora of comics and that immediately spring to mind. Booster Gold, Mile Morales, The Exiles; all of them world displaced and trying to find their way. Hell, Gwenpool, one of the most popular characters Marvel has ever created, is an Isekai protagonist, not to mention all of the refugees from the Ultimate Marvel universe. Isekai can be outstanding when you actually put effort into narrative. This genre lends itself to world building, character development, and is wide open for creative growth. I wanted to put a list together of a few shows that, i think, are worth taking  look at that happen to follow the whole “Alice in Wonderland” motif.
Tumblr media
Overlord
Tumblr media
I wrote at length about my love for this thing a few days ago. Of all the new shows in this Isekai boom, Overlord is my favorite. It has an interesting spin on the whole “defeat the Demon Lord” motif that plagues these kinds of shows in that Ains Ool Gown IS the demon lord. He’s Skeletor if Skeletor was actually competent. The world itself is growing and expanding, giving us brand new details with every season aired but it’s the characters that make this show so endearing. They’re all so rich and developed. I love everything about this show and highly recommend checking it out.
.Hack//Sign
Tumblr media
Before SAO, there was Sign. I’m not going to spoil the plot, which is both engaging and emotional, but it’s basically the first “trapped in a game” type of narrative that really got traction here in the states. This anime was actually a companion piece to a quadrilogy of excellent, real life,PS2 games. While i’m partial to the sequel games and it’s accompanying media, .Hask//G.U., i’d be remiss not to give credit where credit is due. If you liked SAO, check out Twilight. It did it first and much, much, better.

Rem is best girl. That’s off top. Re:Zero would easily be my favorite Isekai show, if not for Overlord. This thing is kind of incredible in terms of world building but, just like my beloved Supervisor Skeletor anime, it’s the characters in Re”Zero that sell this show. They’re all so real, so human. The main protagonist,Subaru, because of certain circumstances, has the ability to return from death and that sh*t takes a toll on him. He has seen some sh*t. He has experienced some sh*t. And while he grows in strength, it’s at a horrific cost. The emotional turmoil of these resurrections are ridiculous and you feel it in Subaru’s evolution as a protagonist.
The Familiar of Zero
Tumblr media
This one is more cutesy fun. It feels like if Harry Potter was a harem protagonist, you’d have this show. It’s not terrible, by any means, and relies heavy on sight gags and comedies but, considering it has 4 seasons, is mad popular. I haven’t watched through all of them but i did enjoy the first two and understand exactly why it’s so popular. This is another one that came out long before the boom so it has more of a richer narrative overall.
No Game No Life
Tumblr media
No Game No Life is a personal favorite. I love this goddamn show! It’s kinetic, silly, fun, and quietly brilliant. A world where all conflicts are solved with games? A dual set of protagonists who are perfect compliments to each other in strength and weakness? An absurd premise that raises stakes to genocidal levels? Bro, No Game No Life is a goddamn classic and you NEED to check this thing out at least once. It’s more than worth. Also, Jibril is best girl
The Vision of Escaflowne
Tumblr media
I kind of forget this thing is an Isekai series because of the mechs but it is. This one is more of a romance-y type of show but it’s still crazy good, It’s still worth a watch. It’s one of the first to gain popularity in the states, even if the one we originally was truncated and edited to all hell, that aired on a Saturday morning cartoon block. I think, now, Funimation has the rights so you can get a decent version, uncut, and dubbed, yo check out. I loved Escaflowne. It was emotional, beautiful, and brilliant. The content was a little heady but as an adult, i can’t recommend this one more.
Tenchi Muyo! War for Geminar
Tumblr media
Kind of in the same vein as Esclafowne, mechs over isekai so to speak, we have Tenchi Muyo! War for Geminar, one of my personal favorites. It’s actually part of the Tenchi franchise but follows another charcter like GXP. This time, we have Tenchi’s little brother, Kenshi, as he makes his way through a brand new world. Just like his big brother and friend, Sena, dude kind of develops a harem while figting to save the universe. This thing is a Tenchi show, through and through, and lord knows i’m a sucker for Tenchi, Still, bias aside, this thing is fun, beautifully animated, and choc full of action with just a hint of eechi. Also, Doll is best girl.
KonoSuba
Tumblr media
Yo, Konosuba is wildly popular and for good reason. This thing deconstructs the entire genre and gives you one of the best comedy animes in decades. It takes nothing seriously and gives you a lighthearted tale, full of absurdity and shenanigans. The characters are all awesome and their relationships always bring a smile to your face. This show is mad good and i highly recommend this one for everyone. It’s just a good ol’ time in general!
Re: Creators

Re:Creators is kind of a flip on the Isekai situation. What happens when the characters from those other worlds, find their way into ours, with all of their OP abilities and powers? epic goddamn destruction, that's what! Yo, i was surprised by how much i loved this goddamn show! Definitely check this thing out.
Gate: Thus the Japanese Self-Defense Force Fought There
Tumblr media
Gate gets a lot of sh*t for being a mediocre anime overall. To be honest the community is kind of split on this one. As a cat that has been watching anime for a long ass time, i can recognize that this is  weaker entry on this this list but, i think the world building makes up for that. This thing is littered with cliche tropes; Loli Goth goddesses, tsundere Dark Elves, Dandere wizard girls, etc. but it you can look past all of the harem-y nonsense, you kind of have a pretty legit political thriller. What happens when an overwhelming, modern, military force invades a country with the technology level of medieval times? How do those carrying swords and shields defend again those wielding assault rifles and mortars? It’s actually very interesting to see. I think those questions make this show compelling enough to check out.
Tumblr media
There are a ton of others that come to mind; Saga of Tanya The Evil, Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Digimon, Drifters, Now and Then, Here and There, Magic Knigh Rayearth, Log Horizron, How Not To Summon The Demon Lord; There is a ton of content t watch. It can be overwhelming but the ten i listed above, are all excellent in their own rights and give you a decent swath of what you can expect throughout the genre.
